Promise ring
Tumblr media
gif credit to @canirove !!!
Requested by @palna hope you like it!
Summary: Debbie invites you to a family dinner, something you find really odd as Mason and you had broken up a month ago. But the promise ring he still wore made you realise he was as lost as you were.
Wordcount: 2.1k
Note: words in italics ara a flashback 😉
Enjoy 😊😚
*
You felt like a fool standing there. Your legs were freezing and your feet already hurt, but the dress was too pretty and the heels went perfect with it. Your hands were trembling (cold or nerves? maybe both?), so much you were actually scared the bottle of wine might slip from your hands.
Let me explain how you ended up there.
Friday, 10 am. You were out of milk, so as any other normal and functional human being you went to the supermarket. Turns out Debbie was also a normal and functional human being, because she was there too. Debbie, the mother of the man you were trying so hard to forget.
And you you loved her, you really did, but not that morning.
“Jaz, Lewis and Mason are all here!! We’re having dinner all together, you know it’s rare for us to be all in the same place, at the same time” she explain with her characteristic smile “you should join!!”
There was no way out, even less after you accidentally told her you changed your schedule with a collage in the office and you had nothing to do.
“That’s why Mason didn’t tell you anything, because you had work!” She almost shouted, finally understanding, or at least that’s what she thought. “He always says you’re a busy woman with your work, that’s why you couldn’t have join us. Lucky us, we'll see you tonight!” She continued asking about your parents, your friends… jeez, she even remembered the cat. Then she hugged you the way she always did and left. That’s when you realised, he haven’t told them.
So a few more hours later, at 6 pm, you were patiently waiting for someone to open the door of Mason’s house before your legs froze, your ankles broke and the bottle fell.
“YN! So good to see you here, I thought you were coming with Mason!” Debbie greeted you, taking the bottle off your hands after thanking you for it.
“Thanks for inviting me” you honestly said, thought were you really?
She guided you through the house until you reached the living room, where everyone was staring at the door waiting to see who was the one who was still missing.
“YN?” Mason was the first to talk, or maybe the only one you could hear.
“Hi everyone. Nice to see you all again” you politely waved before kneeling to take Summer up in your arms and greeting her with loads of kisses, kisses that she gave you back.
Then, you hugged each and everyone of the family, until you reached Mason. It wasn’t like you’re going to kiss him in front of his family, right? You didn’t, you just hugged him, maybe longer and tighter, but no kiss, not even in the cheeks.
“Look at that shy greeting from the lovers” Lewis laughed watching the uncomfortable moment between you two.
“Shut up Lew” Mason responded, and this time you could perfectly hear the nerves on his voice.
Thirty minutes was the time you spent together, in the living room, like a big family. You sat next to Mason and Jazz and you talked more with the sister than with his younger bother, even thought it should’ve been the other way around.
You were on the edge of a panic attack trying to listen to the voices that talked to you. It just didn’t feel right to be there without warning Mason about your encounter with his mother, you had completely forgot to text him with the nerves. Even Jazz noticed how nervous you were.
“Stop bouncing the leg or you’ll make a hole in the floor!” She laughed placing his hand on your knee to stop the movement you weren’t even aware of.
But Mason was the same. He was playing his fingers, biting his nails when his mum or Jaz wasn’t looking, otherwise they would tell him off. And you’d be blind if you hadn’t notice the shine of the light reflected on the ring on his finger, the promise ring he bought for both of you a couple of months ago and he still wore. That had to mean something.
The poor boy, he wasn’t understanding a thing, and you promised yourself you would go and talk to him in private as soon as you had the chance, it didn’t seem right to pull him away from his family to talk about the thing you wanted to talk. But when he got up to check the food the was (surprisingly) cooking, you didn’t hesitate to follow him.
“Mason” you talked once you reached the kitchen, and even thought your voice was calm and low, almost inaudible with the laughs and shouts of the living room, you scared him with your unexpected presence. “Sorry” you said without hiding the smile.
“It’s okay. What— what are you doing here?” He asked, turning his focus back to the pot.
“I need to ask you another thing first” you said making him lift his head to look back at you “have you told them that we broke up almost a month ago?”
“No” he simply said, confirming your speculations.  “I’m sorry, I just— they would kill me” he huffed.
“And with good reason” you joked trying to break the obvious tension, relaxing so much after hearing his little laugh. “Your mum saw me at the supermarket this morning and she invited me. I couldn’t say no, you know I can’t say no to her” you continued to make him laugh, thought he knew you were dead serious.
“It’s okay, I just— it’s my fault, I should’ve told them. We can tell them now and—“
“No no no. It’s okay, we can just… pretend. I don’t want to tell them now, I knew what I was facing if I came here. It would make everything much more uncomfortable” you talked watching him chop some veggies while nodding, relief to hear your choice, because the truth was he didn’t want to tell them now and ruin the night. “I see you still have it” you said pointing at his ring, and he immediately tried to hide it, as if he didn’t want you to see it when you had been staring at it the whole evening already “I still have mine too. In my wallet, that way I take it always with me” he lifted his head again, showing you his kind smile for a second before looking down to the veggies again, so you took it as a sign to leave.
“Thank you” he said making you stop “for coming”. You left the room mumbling a soft ‘of course’.
*
“If I had believed everything they said about you I wouldn’t have bothered to get to know you!!! It just hurts to think about how hard I tried, but you just gave up in the first chance, you don’t even want to talk to me, you wouldn’t even believe me!!!!” you almost screamed in that same kitchen after he told you about the rumours of you dating some other guy.
“YN, you need to understand. I’m famous, I’m a footballer, people just want to be my friend because of that and I was-
“So you think I’m with you just because I want to be famous?!?!”
“I didn’t mean-
“Yes you did!!! And I think  you’re so wrong there, if you are the famous person then it’s me the one who is much more justified to think about cheating, about lies, about secrets!!! But I never did, because I trusted you, and I knew in a relationship like ours trust is— was important. Why would you  even want to date me in the first place? I don’t  think this was a good idea!!! I think I should leave”
“YN, please, don’t—”
“Mason, you were the one who called me to end things. Please let me go”.
*
“Earth to Mason?! Hello??? Hey!” Jazz was moving his hands in front of his face, clapping, shouting, doing anything she could to bring him back from he clouds.
“Mason” it was you the one who had to tap on his shoulder as you were sitting in the table next to him. Dinner was over, the poor Jazz just wanted to collect the  dirty plates. “Mason!! Mase!!” He finally reacted turning his face to you abruptly, so fast it scared you. “Are you alright?” You asked concerned.
“Yes, I- I’m sorry” he said confused, with furrowed eyebrows.
“It’s alright, just pass the plate to your sister” you laughed.
“No. I mean it, I’m sorry. I should’ve trusted you”.
“Mason not now, just pass her the plate” you whispered, thought it was useless, everyone had already heard his words and had confused looks on their faces.
You left the room with Tony and Jazz to help them clean, even thought they insisted you shouldn’t, you just wanted not to be in the same room as Mason.
But it the living room, they kept talking about it.
“I don't know what happened, but she’s a great girl, Mase” Debbie said. Mason ended up telling the whole story to his mum and brother. The rumors of you being seen with another guy when he was away, the fears, the doubts, the fight. The intense feeling of love he felt towards you only when you left, because you don’t know what you got until you loose it.
“You’re such an idiot” Lewis laughed, earning a killing look from both his brother and his mum.
“Idiot!” Summer shouted repeating his uncle words, and they couldn’t help but laugh this time, (something that Lewis found extremely unfair).
That’s why you were surprised when Debbie called you to the side room of the entry, a walking closet, when you were already taking your bag to leave.
“I swear I didn’t know anything, YN, I wouldn’t have—“
“I know, Debbie” you reassured her, guessing Mason had told the truth. You placed your hand on her shoulder, and even thought it was kinda dark, she didn’t miss the shine of your eyes. She immediately leaned in to hug you, and you started crying more because she was really concerned  and she didn’t mean any harm. But you had to separate from her when someone knocked on the doorframe, and you begged to Debbie not to leave when you saw it was Mason the one standing there, but she did anyways, smiling at you before leaving.
“Hi” he said when he reached your side.
“Hi” you manage to say cleaning the tears running down your face.
“I wanted to say I’m sorry. For everything” he said getting closer until he reached your waist with his right hand with a gentle touch.
“I’m sorry too. I shouldn’t have ran away like that” you reached for his hand on your waist too, your fingers going directly to the ring.
“You had all the right in the world to do so. I just— I didn’t know what I could’ve done if I ever loose you like that. I thought breaking up was safer for me. But I should’ve talk to you. I also should’ve told my family the truth” he laughed, making you chuckle too.
“If it wasn’t for that we wouldn’t be here now” you laughed taking out your wallet from your bag and taking your promise ring. “Told you still I had it”
“Wear it again… please” he almost begged and you obeyed. It still fitted as perfectly as always. When you looked back at Mason he was already getting closer and closer to your face, slowly but surely. You did kiss him this time, though not as much as he would like to, as he whined when you pulled away.
“I feel like teenagers making out in the closet, Mason, your family is outside” you seriously said making him laugh. He guided you outside the room, placing his hand on the small of your back.
“Then stay here tonight. We need to catch up” he mischievous said, and you swore you felt your cheeks burning. But Lewis, who was in the entry taking everyone’s coats for them to leave, saw and heard everything.
“I hope you mean by talking”  he said shocked at what he had just witnessed.
“Actually, w—“ Mason started talking, but Lewis cut him off again.
“If you didn’t mean it like that then just lie to me. Please”
“We were referring to talking, Lew” you managed to say with blushed cheeks.
“No we weren’t!” Mason shouted.
“Alright, okay, time to leave everyone!! Come on!!” Lewis shouted to the rest making both of you laugh. Quick goodbye to everyone and Mason was already taking you upstairs.

You squeezed the steering wheel hard and looked ahead. You were in the car, parking in front of Mason's house, if the GPS had led you to the right place. Likewise, you were a little nervous, it was the first time you had ever been there, when Mason invited you, you understood perfectly well that the goal was for you to be more intimate and cordial, to have more privacy. You liked him, and you knew that he liked you too, but it wasn't enough to keep you from feeling a chill in your stomach.
It wasn't the same as meeting him in other places, taking care not to be seen. Mason was opening his home to you, which meant that he trusted you, you just didn't want to mess it up and make it a lively evening.
You decided to let go of the steering wheel and open the door before Mason started texting you asking why you hadn't arrived yet. You walked to the door and rang the bell.
"Hey." He said as he opened the door, you stood waiting for him to give you room to enter, still a little nervous.
"Hi!" You replied, and he pulled you in for a quick kiss before closing the door.
"Did you find it easy?"
"Surprisingly, yes, GPS's are useful." The foyer was well organized and clean, you took off your heavier coat and shoes, staying in just socks like Mason. He was wearing comfortable sweatshirt clothes and his hair was a bit messy, but you would say he looked perfect.
"And you didn't hit any trees during that drive?" He joked, and you rolled your eyes at him as you recalled the story of the day you drove out to go to Stamford Bridge to see a Chelsea game, but ended up missing out because a little accident caused you to hit a tree. Mason could hardly believe it when you told him, he couldn't stop laughing.
"No, come on. How long are you going to keep bugging me about this? It only happened once."
"It's not my fault if you are a terrible driver. If something were to happen, it would ruin our evening." You bit your lips, realizing the double meaning of that sentence. Usually Mason was direct, but this time he was being subtle. He didn't want you to think that he had called you there just to rip off your clothes. Of course that urge was there, but not only that.
"And what do you have for our evening?"
"First, food." He spoke and you walked to the kitchen. You observed the place while Mason fiddled with his phone. Everything was so beautiful, exquisite, and clean, plus it smelled good. "I was going to order something, but I thought we could do it together."
"Someone got lazy cooking." You spoke, moving to stand next to him and look at the delivery app together.
"You cook better than I do, I was afraid you would judge my food."
"Are you trying to make a good impression?" Your brow furrowed and he pinched his nose.
"But of course, it's your first night here, I have to make sure you come back." A shiver ran through your entire body when he made that statement, and you thought that he surely wouldn't need much effort for that to happen.
You spent a few minutes looking at the restaurant options and menus until you decided to order Italian food. It was a thing between the two of you to always diversify when ordering food, it was fun to try other countries' cuisines and always funny when the two of you didn't like something.
After you ordered, Mason pulled you by the hand toward a staircase that led to a room in the basement. "Come, I want to show you a place."
You found it much more exciting than watching Netflix and eating crap until you stopped paying attention halfway through the movie, so you could fuck. That's kind of what always happened when the guys you went out with before would invite you to their house.
"What is this place?" You asked when you got downstairs. It was a spacious and decorated room. There was a snooker table in the center, chairs, tables, sofa, and rugs were distributed throughout the space. One wall was all decorated with autographed football shirts and there was a huge bookcase with glass doors where Mason kept all the awards and medals he had ever won, as well as many pictures of special moments.
Not all the ceiling lights were on, the huge TV attached to the wall played soft music, not to mention the pleasant smell that came from some lit candles that help create a romantic atmosphere. He had definitely prepared that place to receive you.
"My favorite place in the house."
"Not your bedroom?" You asked cheekily, as you were now wondering how big his bed was and how he kept his clothes.
"I spend a good part of my day here." He said, and you began to imagine him in all the corners doing different things, as well as surrounded by his friends from Chelsea and England, that was a good place to get them all together. "Let's play something."
He guided you to one of the square tables, and you sat facing each other. You started with card games and went a few rounds of Rummy, Gin, Blackjack, and War until you got tired and decided to go for snooker. Mason got you two beers, and you drank while you played. You were certainly having fun, but thoughts like "how soon can I take my bra off with him?" were making you think about things too much.
"How can you be so good at this?" He sighed, and you gloated as he marked on the board some more for you.
"The question would be, how can you be so bad?" You propped the bat on the floor and bit your lips, trying to seduce and tease him at the same time. Mason laughed, swearing he could devour you just by looking at you. You were wearing pants and sleeveless blouses, but nothing was stopping him from admiring your curves because they were too tight clothes.
"Stop teasing me!" He warned.
"If not what?" A mischievous smile appeared on your lips, and you leaned on the table. You were on opposite sides and your goal was to get him to walk over to you.
He was about to act when the sound of the cell phone interrupted him. He searched his pockets for the device and looked at you. "Saved by the gong!" You laughed, straightening your posture. "Give me a minute."
You nodded and decided to go to his prized shelf while he talked on his cell phone. You dragged the bat across the floor as you went from one end to the other, looking through the glass. First your heart melted at the pictures in the picture frames of when he was a child, others of him holding Summer and a few more of his family, then you felt a great pride as you took a closer look at his accomplishments and awards. You were looking at the medals, the Champions League to be more specific, when you felt his body behind yours. He could sneak up on you, but he made your heart race every time.
"Do you want to see it?" He asked as if reading your mind, and before you could answer, he was opening the glass and pulling out the medal. You took it from his hand and looked at the details, it was gold and on the blue ribbon was written: Port of 2021. "Beautiful, isn't it?
He said, rubbing the ribbon around your neck.
"Yes..." You agreed, letting go of the metal as Mason's hands wrapped around your waist, and you slipped your arms around his shoulders. "But it's a good thing you're great at football, because at snooker you suck!" You laughed, and he pulled an indignant face at you.
"I'm gonna show you who sucks!" He pressed on your waist and guided you backwards until your hips hit the edge of the table.
Mason kissed you so eagerly that you thought he was going to steal all the air from your lungs, but you weren't complaining. Mason slid his hands down to your hips as his tongue invaded your mouth, and you pulled his hair and ran your nails along the back of his neck. He squeezed your ass and you almost moaned. It wasn't a quiet kiss at all, you were sure it was only the first of the night, but he was pushing you harder and harder, you could feel the shivering in your nipples as your body became more sensitive to his touches.
Mason wanted to sit you down at the snooker table and make you hug his waist with your legs, but the doorbell rang before he could make any move.
"Looks like the food has arrived." You said pulling away from him.
"Looks like it did." Mason replied, frustrated at being interrupted, you put away the medal and went upstairs with him.
As he picked up the food with the delivery man at the door and paid, you decided to peruse his liquor cabinet, taking the liberty to pull out a wine and two glasses from there. You picked on Mason, because you didn't want him to pay the whole bill, but he closed the matter by saying that you were the guest, so it was only fair that he pay, and you only agreed when he agreed to let you pay next time.
After eating, you volunteered to gather the plates, glasses and cutlery to wash them in the sink. You were so quick that Mason didn't even have time to start grumbling. He looked you up and down as you leaned over the sink a little to turn on the faucet.
"What are you doing?" He asked, and you felt him standing right behind you.
"Washing the dishes, I think, Mason." You glanced over your shoulder at him as you put soap on a loofah and began scrubbing a dish. Mason held the edge of the sink, one hand on either side of your hip, pinning you between his arms. He stepped forward and your back pressed against his chest.
One hand placed all your hair over your right shoulder, leaving the left free, and he fitted the face of the curve of your neck.
"Drop it." He whispered. You almost shrugged your shoulders as the friction of his beard on your neck tickled a little, but your body really got a whole shiver when he started kissing you there. "I have a dishwasher for a reason."
His hands snaked down your body to your waist, holding you against him and smoothing your skin under your t-shirt. You blinked rapidly, feeling his hand movements slow down as the blood in your bloodstream pulsed to the areas he was kissing and made you have a family tingling in your groin.
"No. You paid for the food, and what I can do for you is wash up the mess." You gave up, even though you were about to turn to grab your hair and drag it to the nearest bed.
"You can do something else for me, Y/N." His tongue left a trail of heat on your neck, and you bit your lips as you felt the surge of pain from the hickey. "I'm hungry." He growled, continuing to kiss the back of your neck, you rinsed off the last of your plate and that was your incentive to turn off the faucet and turn to him.
"You forgot to order dessert." You shook your wet hands before hugging his neck. Mason leaned in close enough for you to feel the tip of his tongue on your lips.
"I'm not necessarily hungry for food right now."
He fit his thigh between your legs and his hands squeezed your ass as he kissed you on the mouth. You hugged his torso, encouraging Mason to touch your body more, which didn't take long. He held the back of your neck with one hand while the other went up your thigh, feeling your soft skin. He pulled a lock of her hair away so that the strands wouldn't get in the way of the kiss they were exchanging and said, very close to your ear, in a quick pause:
"You have no idea how much I want you, Y/N."
You pulled away and smiled, you could see the fire in his eyes, pure desire.
"Show me." You replied licking your lips and then kissing him again slowly using your tongue to taste every millimeter of his mouth, with a few bites and a delicate pull of your hair. Mason's hand moved down from your waist to your ass again, giving it a squeeze before pulling you closer, wanting more contact with your crotch. That served as the perfect incentive you needed to rock your hips forward to feel his cock getting harder.
Mason pulled you away slightly and pulled you by the hand toward his bedroom. You took fleeting steps that fed the anxiety in your stomach. You didn't have much time to scan his room, because when the door closed, he pressed your body to the door and kissed you again. Although his hands were deft, you didn't want to wait for him and started to undress your own clothes.
"You know what I noticed?" He said, biting your lip. The two of you stood in just your underwear. As he guided you to the bed, you ran your hands down his defined abdomen, feeling the textures of his tattoos.
"Hm?" You murmured curiously, not wanting to stop kissing him. You quickly threw yourself onto the bed, him on top of you, fitting his body between your legs.
"If you were drinking, you won't drive. So you will sleep here." He kissed your cheek and neck while running one of his hands slowly down the inside of your thigh. That was really the idea when he invited you, you had some notion of it without him having to use direct words.
"Maybe I brought a change of clothes and toothbrush." His hands pulled the straps of your bra down over your shoulders, and you arched your back, so he could access the bundle behind. He quickly opened it and got rid of the garment.
"You certainly brought it." He said, and you felt his tongue on your nipples, his teeth leaving little marks that stimulated you with each bite. He kissed and sucked your breasts while his fingers made their way into your panties and at that point it was almost magic when Mason began to masturbate you from time to time, slipping a finger or two into your vagina with precise movements. "I've been waiting all day to do this." He spoke in your ear, completely involved, your perfume numbing him as much as the moans you let out.
"Fuck, Mason." You moaned, holding his hair as his thumb began to circle your clit.
"How long have you been wet like that, Y/N?" He said in your ear, and you bit your lips, holding back a loud moan as his middle finger hit your G-spot. "These walls are pretty thick, which means you and I can be as loud as we want. Make noise for me baby, here we have freedom." He sped up his hand movements, his fingers fucking you so well and his thumb putting some pressure on your clit that the hard-on took over your body, and you couldn't stop kissing him as you rocked your hips on his fingers.
"Holy shit, Mason, I'm going to cum in your hand!" You said, with some difficulty, you would rather moan than speak, but you thought it was nice to give his ego that information.
"I wanted you to cum on my cock, kitten."
"I can do both." You blinked one of your eyes before kissing him hard. "Fuck." When the orgasm came, you felt the urge to contort your body, reflex for your hands to squeeze somewhere, which turned out to be Mason's shoulders. You were seized by spasms and shivers, then collapsed into his hands, into his embrace, but you were still not satisfied. You wanted more of Mason. You wanted to kiss and suck every part of his body, you wanted to feel him inside you in a way that was not gentle at all.
He ran his hand through your hair leaving kisses on your jaw, and you rocked your hips feeling his hard cock press against your groin, but Mason seemed gentler.
"Are you going to fuck me or...?" You interrupted him, and he looked at you, pulling your hair out of your face.
"I was trying to be affectionate."
"The last thing I am wanting right now is for you to be affectionate." You said, and he laughed. You wanted all the squeezing, slapping,
bites and hickeys that Mason could give you, and it didn't take long for him to fulfill your requests. Their hands coldly squeezed your hips, encouraging you to get up.
"Okay, take off your panties and raise your ass for me." His words only served to make you wetter, and you quickly bent your knees and slid your panties between your legs. You caught a faint glimpse of Mason removing your panties and jerking his hard cock before you turned on your back and raised your hips to him.
Your throat let out a groan as you felt the sting in your ass from his slap. He stroked the spot and positioned his cock at your entrance before he began to fill you. You groaned, letting your body fall forward onto the mattress as you tried to keep your knees firm while feeling his erect penis move in and out of your wet pussy. Mason grabbed your hair, pulling your head back, and you moved your hips trying to follow the movements of his strokes, faster and faster and deeper and deeper. "How well my girl can take me." He kissed your neck and moved his other hand up to one of your breasts. "I can feel you pulsing around me. Do you like it when I fuck you like this, Y/N?"
"Y-yes! Fuck, of course I do." You said, muffling your sighs into the pillow.
"Then why are you so quiet? I want the whole neighborhood to know who's making you feel good." You turned your neck back as far as you could to look at him and smiled mischievously. Mason frowned, letting his hip movements slow down as he tried to understand what you wanted. "What?"
"Your words really turn me on, but I was thinking about how your hands would make a nice necklace." You shook your head, indicating the hand holding your hair. A libidinous smile stamped his face and he released you. You turned again and kissed him as your legs wrapped around his waist and Mason fit inside you again.
"You are a very dirty little girl, Y/N." He said as he fucked you. Already sweaty and wrapped around each other, nothing better than to keep up the pace. He thrust hard into you, sending you into moans and shivers.
"Just for you, Mase." That was the last thing you said before you felt his hand on your neck. His fingers squeezing lightly, like a test. He smiled arrogantly as you tried to pull as much air into your lungs as possible to form coherent words that begged him not to stop.
"You look so good with my hands around your neck. I think we've found a new kink." His fingers tightened a little tighter around your neck as his hips accelerated, and he moved in and out of you without much finesse. Your reactions were limited to scratching his back and pulling his hair with a few pathetic moans. "What would people say if they knew you were such a slut for me, huh? Just for my dick?" He let go of your throat, and you pulled in the air you were lacking. You had never been so horny, you just loved it when he gave the orders in bed, and this was the first time you really had the freedom to do bolder and heavier things.
Before you could say anything, the hand reached around you again, and you shook your head in confirmation. Your body was shaking and yours was watering as Mason held you by the waist, making every thrust echo inside that room. "Cum for me, Y/N!" He said and kissed you again.
Your heart wanted to burst out of your chest so hard it was pounding. You moaned, almost in a scream, you felt your body, especially your belly, groin and legs stiffen with a strong tension. A great wave of heat and a cold feeling in your belly rose up, and you came. A feeling of deep calmness came over your whole body as Mason continued with the movements, but at a slower pace, he needed to take a breath. He thrust until he achieved his own release, which was not long after his own. Mason felt all his muscles relax as yours did, and his body became loose, full of palpitations, as he came inside you.
"Fuck." He sighed, you hugged him from behind as his head rested on the curve of your neck. Mason took a deep breath, sipping the scent of your hair as your breathing regulated.
He lay on your side, and you nestled on top of him so that the two of you could share that space in a more comfortable way.
"Did I hurt you?" He asked, looking at your neck for evidence of marks. You stared at the ceiling, waiting for your body to be rewired.
"No, I'm fine, it was amazing." You smiled and turned your body to leave a kiss on his jaw. "You know, you can be a little rough on me, I don't break easy." Your nails began to make invisible designs on his chest.
"Great, I hope you know you're not leaving this house that easy either. From now on, you are mine, for days."
"Days? Did you forget that I only brought a change of clothes?"
"You can wear my clothes." Mason kissed your head.
He hugged you tighter, and you smiled thinking that the nervousness was gone, and you couldn't wait for the next few times you were going to frequent his house.

Hi!! I just suggested one with Mason, but I thought of giving you more details if that’s okay and easier for you.
Basically, I was thinking him and the reader, which you can use YN, had been dating for a few years. She always went to all the home matches, but this time Mason was so freaking nervous it made her nervous too, and she didn’t even know why.
When the match ended, he asked her to come down to the grass and asked anyone, maybe Lewis, who was there too (and knowing what his brother was about to do he recorded it), to take a picture of them both, but Mason gets in one knee and asked her to marry him in front of his teammates and fans and it’s just sweet and shy but with a great amount of love and adoration ♥️🙈

"Do you know if your brother is there yet?" Y/N asked as he looked out the windshield of the car and realized that they were arriving at the stadium. Mason was driving on her side, it was a Chelsea day and this was one of the few times they got to go to Stamford together. Usually, by the time Y/N arrived at the Stadium, Mason had been there for a long time.
She looked at his profile when she didn't get a response. Mason was looking forward and clenching his fingers on the steering wheel. "Mason!"
"What?" he looked at her quickly, half startled. Y/N raised her hand to stroke his hair.
"I'm talking to you! Are you listening?" She laughed at his lack of attention, and Mason clenched his jaw.
"I'm, sorry, but yes, I think he's already there." Despite the lack of response, Mason had heard her question well, his mind was just on another moment. The moment the game would be over, to be more exact. He decided that would be the day, he wasn't going to put that off for another second. Mason knew he was ready, that he and Y/N were ready to take that step, he just didn't think it would make him so nervous. But he was trying to hold on to the feeling that it was going to be okay.
"What's going on with you this morning? Are you nervous?" she asked a little worriedly, noticing her boyfriend's uneasiness. Mason's senses were on alert as he looked at her, doubt arising, whether Y/N was suspecting something. Did she already know what he was planning to do that day? It wasn't possible, he tried his best to hide it.
The little box with the ring he bought was in his right pocket, and he had to make an effort not to look down. Y/N would surely follow his gaze and go to ask what he was hiding.
"N-nervous?"
"Yes, nervous about the game." She explained, and an immense relief took over his body. She knew nothing, his surprise was safe.
"Oh yes. For the game." He shook his head, Y/N eventually convinced himself that it was nervousness about the game anyway. She fiddled with his hair one last time and tilted her body when the car stopped to kiss him goodbye.
"Okay, I'll see you when it's over." Mason thought about saying something else, but Y/N had already closed the car door and was heading toward the Stadium. He turned the car around and headed toward the players' exclusive access gate.
Inside the stadium, Y/N looked for Lewis in the box. He was indeed already there, and it was not difficult to find him, so they soon settled into their seats to wait for the start of the match. Y/N loved Mason's brother, they got along very well, and it was not uncommon for them to go to Stamford Bridge to watch Mason's games together. But this time, there was something different, she could feel it.
Mason was on the field warming up and Y/N's leg was shaking as she tapped her foot on the ground. It didn't even seem like she had been with him for a few minutes, but her boyfriend looked uneasy.
"You're going to end up making a hole in the ground." Lewis said, putting his hand on her knee, so her leg would stop swinging.
"I can't hold it in, Mason is acting weird, his nervousness is making me distressed." She spoke, bringing the tip of her thumbnail to her mouth. She turned her face to look at Lewis who looked calm, even too happy. "Don't you think it's strange? He's always so confident at home matches. Could it be something else?"
Lewis frowned. He had a huge urge to laugh because he knew Y/N was worrying about nothing, everything was fine, she couldn't wait for what would happen at the end of the game. He knew Mason might be nervous too, but he trusted his brother not to give up on doing that. Lewis realized how Y/N knew him, how she cared about him, how she loved him, and in his opinion there was no better woman to marry his brother.
"He's fine, don't worry, Y/N." He laughed, squeezing her nose, and Y/N sidestepped his hands. She relaxed in her seat, trying to stop swinging her leg. "But if we lose, it's your fault, you are going to jinx it."
"No I'm not!" he laughed as she became indignant and slapped his arm. Lewis thought that was a good distraction for Y/N to stop worrying about Mason. "I've come to every home game for the last four years, and believe me, with me here Chelsea has won more than they've lost." She smiled proudly and a flash, of all those years with Mason, flashed through her mind, and she felt as happy as if she was going to overflow with love. The day she met Mason sure was one of the best days of her life, she had no regrets at all.
"So you are the lucky charm?"
"That's you saying, brother-in-law." She laughed and Lewis rolled his eyes. They stopped to pay attention as the referee blew the whistle to start the match.
The game was a little tense in the first minutes, with Chelsea taking the pressure and not being able to articulate the moves to infiltrate the opponent's defense, but soon things improved, and the team coached by Thomas Tuchel found the necessary understanding and created more chances. Y/N could not take her eyes off Mason, he seemed to be getting back to normal, concentrated, focused on the game, but at no time did he look at her. That was weird, because even though he was concentrating, he always managed to look at her during the game, and this time it didn't happen. She thought about telling Lewis about it, but it seemed like a silly thing to worry about.
When it was over, she was happy because Chelsea had won by a two goal margin and Mason had provided one of the assists. She got up from her chair quickly, because the only thing she could think about was going home to be with her boyfriend, but Lewis stopped her from leaving.
"What?" there was a wrinkle on her forehead. Lewis indicated the field with his head, a clear signal for her to turn around.
"Okay,Y/N, you are going to need a lot of calm now."
"Why? What's going on?" When she turned, there was a different movement in the field. She opened her mouth, not knowing what to say or do when she realized that Mason was coming to the side of the field, followed and watched by some of his teammates who began to form a circle around the area.
"Can you come down here, love?"
She looked at Lewis suspiciously, but he just encouraged her to go. Y/N started down the stairs and each step her feet went down, her heart palpitated a little more. Mason was at the side of the field, on the white line, waiting for her. She walked past the security guards, and they helped her jump over the railing.
"Baby, what's going on?" She asked, Mason stepped closer and held her hand. He was sweaty, his face splattered with small red spots on his cheeks and forehead, and a smile filled his face. Y/N might think it was for his performance in the game, but it was for something much better.
"I know you don't like attention much, but I had to do this here, in the place where we met." He said with a smile and Y/N looked around, really, they were the center of attention. The stadium was emptier, but the remaining people were looking and admiring them, the players and even some of the coaching staff. Lewis was behind her, leaning on the railing with a camera in his hands.
"Mason, what are you..." She whispered, but he brought his fingers to her lips to interrupt her. Y/N could swear she was starting to tremble, this was looking a lot like a proposal, and she could hardly believe it.
"Shh... Let me speak." He asked, and she shook her head in agreement and listened intently to his words. "And I could start by saying all those clichés, but I think you already know all those things." He smiled and she laughed back. "So I wanted to tell you that these days I was remembering when we were first getting to know each other, to be more specific, the day you told me that your apartment was on the second floor and how much you hated it because it was too low a floor." Mason was a little embarrassed, but he pretended that in that field there was only him and her, and this encouraged him to continue. To do that with you was his heart's greatest desire. "I still asked you why you always took the elevator when you could just as well take the stairs, after all it was only two floors, and you told me you had no patience for the stairs. But when I left a few hours later, you told us to go downstairs because for some things you could have patience." Y/N interlaced her fingers in his, she blinked, trying not to get emotional so quickly. That day she wanted them to go downstairs just to get a few extra minutes of the day to spin with him. "I taught you that, but I learned from you that 'love is patient and kind' when you made me watch that series with you, "When the Heart Calls," which I hated and found very boring, but I realized that with you, I could stand all the boring things in the world. And for me, in that, it was worth having patience."
Her heart was melting, and she wanted to hug and kiss him to the sound of the excited shouts of the people watching, but Mason wasn't finished yet. "You make me want to come home at the end of every away match. I don't know if I can sleep anymore without the light on your nightstand that you use for reading. I see you in every moment of my life and hear people saying how much they want each other in good times and bad. I love our good times, but I am grateful that you are with me in all the bad ones because I feel safe and loved. You are my support and I don't want that to ever end. I want you to know that I want you to be a part of my life, wholly, because I love you and find you unique. So..."
"Oh my good!" Y/N brought her hand to her mouth, that scene was real, but she could hardly believe it when Mason began to kneel on the lawn. The hilt of his other hand opened revealing a small velvet box, and he released her hand only to open it to reveal a golden rose ring with a diamond on top.
"I've waited too long to ask, so I'm asking now: will you marry me, love? Please?"
His eyes were on her, yearning for an answer, Y/N could hear the cheering cries, but she could only stare back at him. Her heart soared and everything began to make sense. That was why he was nervous and that was why Lewis was playing with her, he knew everything.
A big smile stamped across her face, and she didn't wait for Mason to get up to throw himself on top of him. Lewis laughed, capturing the moment with his camera.
"YES! YES! YES! I DO. A million times, yes." Y/N wrapped her arms around his neck, her momentum was so great that they ended up falling into the grass. Mason smiled and giggled, he couldn't be happier. "You didn't wait too long."
He hugged her around the waist, and they kissed, listening to the shouts and whistles of those around. The little box flew out of his hand and the ring fell into the grass.
"I love you so much." Mason said, getting up, they sat on the grass.
"I love you so much too, Mase." He picked up the ring that had fallen and held her ring finger, fitting it there perfectly.
"Bro, did you record it?" He gestured to Lewis, who pointed the camera at them again, capturing a few more moments of the two of them kissing.
"Of course I did!"
"Was this all a plan of yours?" Y/N asked as they stood up. She was walking hand in hand with Mason, admiring her newest engagement ring.
"It was all his idea." Spoke Lewis slapping his brother on the back a few times.
