Here is something we’ve been working on for the last year or so.

Exchanged Fates AU

A pretty uncomplicated “master Garmadon lives AU”. It is changed that Wu instead was the one who banished the Anacondrai Generals to the Cursed Realm, and thus he was the one that had to be banished in the s4 finale. The AU explores the many changes this could bring.

We have this AU technically worked out till season 12. Particular AUs that we hope to work out in detail are season 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11. Season 6, 7 and 12 happen but there is very little of note on what changes in those seasons so far.

This AU may be veeerrryyy self-indulgent for us, but we hope you all find enjoyment in it too! And if you have any questions regarding the AU, our ask box is always open! Rach wants to add doodles to the responses, if appropriate.

Ninjago au where when garmadon is resurrected as an oni instead trying to kill his loved ones he just starts abducting everyone who is his blood relatives (and harumi because she asked him to adopt her without realizing that meant he’d force her and Lloyd to act as siblings).

Like he’s still feral to everyone else but once he’s collected everyone he’s related to he’s basically just a house cat until he is socialized more and learns how to talk.

His memories are blurry so he remembers bits and pieces and he’s very confused when he meets baby wu. My man is staring at him like “I guess I had two sons???”

As soon as he’s collected everyone he just assumes that he’d left his pregnant mate and son alone to fend for themselves so he starts trying to teach Lloyd how to fight because the broadcast still happened only Lloyd doesn’t almost die he just passes out from exhaustion.

Can we just look at this and appreciate it? Lloyd just looks so sad that he can’t drive and Garmadon’s happy to do that himself.

Garmadon cannot escape snakes it's actually kind of funny. First he has to deal with the Aspheera bullshit (albeit that's moreso Wu dealing with it, Garmadon just tagged along,) then he gets bitten by the Devourer, then there's the Serpentine War, during which he trains under Chen, who is very snake-obsessed, and Garmadon gets a snake tattoo !!! Then several years later, Garmadon uses the Serpentine as henchmen, only to be double-crossed and pushed into the Endless Sea, and THEN like a few years later he is turned into a snake himself.
