WHAT IS TRUE ULTRA INSTINCT?

This is...

DBS EP 129 tells us what "True Ultra Instinct" is twice; once at the beginning preview for EP 129 & once at the end of EP 129's preview for EP 130.

True Ultra Instinct was also mentioned in the manga.

So, "True Ultra Instinct" is the silver haired form in the DBS anime continuity & in the DBS manga continuity.

However, in the DBS manga continuity, Toyotaro decided that there is Ultra Instict Sign, then Perfected Ultra Instinct above that, then Goku's true Ultra Instinct above that.

But, Toyotaro suddenly made up "Goku's true Ultra Instinct" as another form so that it doesn't look like Goku actually mastered UI. Why? Because Toyotaro made Goku master Ultra Instinct too soon in the Galactic Prisoner Arc, and he needed to backtrack.

(Lets not forget that Toyotaro also wrote for Whis to tell Goku not to use Mastered Ultra Instinct unless absolutely necessary. This was a way to limit Goku & fix his writing mistake.)

Also, the manga continuity's black haired "True Ultra Instinct" was confirmed by Toyotaro to actually be Ultra Instinct Sign. He just called it "True Ultra Instinct" because its the form Goku can use the best at the moment.

The biggest issue here is that Ultra Instict seperates body & mind. Doing so requires the user to have complete control over their emotions so that the body is not emotion driven. You may feel anger, but controlled anger results in a UI with greater power. And controlled emotion results in True Ultra Instinct.

But in the DBS Manga Continuity, the silver haired Ultra Instinct was changed during the Moro arc to require lack of emotion, while this new "True" Ultra Instinct requires use of emotion. (In the anime it was just control of emotion & greater control resulted in True Ultra Instinct with the silver hair. Even anger can be used if its controlled anger in the DBS Anime Continuity.)

But, Toyotaro changed what he wrote prior for Ultra Instinct into making "Goku's true Ultra Instinct" an emotional driven form like Super Saiyan.

Toyotaro making Goku have an emotion driven Ultra Instinct literally contradicts all of UI's principles & function. Goku would not be able to even use UI to it's fullest by giving in to his emotions. This version of UI would be weaker. That's just not how it works.

(But, Toyo often retcons his own writing multiple times within a single arc, so him retconing UI every arc is just what he does. This is more of his bad writing.)

Some will say "Mastered Ultra Instinct is not Goku's true Ultra Instinct. He needed to find his own version of UI to fight with." Here lies the problem with that thinking... Goku already has his own unique style of fighting, so when he uses True Ultra Instinct (the silver haired form), it is literally HIS true Ultra Instinct. Everyone's usage of UI is different due to their different fighting styles used in tandem with Ultra Instinct. This is why the way Whis moves when training Goku is different than how Goku moves. It's literally your own combat style with UI applied to it. Goku still uses his Turtle Style while in True/Mastered Ultra Instinct.

This is why Toyo suddenly made Goku copy Whis' fighting style in the Granolah arc. It makes no sense for Goku to change his natural fighting UNLESS... Toyotaro temporarily regressed Goku in order to make it seem like Goku progresses when he returns to norm. In reality, Toyo actually made Goku take 2 steps back then 1 step forward.

UI doesnt change your fighting style. It refines it. There is True Ultra Instinct (the silver haired form and/or state of mind) and then the individual using the true state of UI. So, Goku doenst have to find "his true Ultra Instinct" because Goku's True Ultra Instinct is the silver haired form.

Toyo did something similar with "Completed" SSB. Goku used Completed SSB to fully utilize the power of SSB in the Goku Black arc by sealing the overflowing ki within his body.

Then, Goku stops using Completed Blue and releases all of his overwhelming ki in order to increase SSB's power in the ToP arc.

Which is it? Seal the ki inside to get stronger or release all of the ki to get stronger? 🤔 Don't ask Toyotaro. He has no idea & he writes it.

Progression, then regression & pretend it progressed again.

Remember Mastered Super Saiyan? Goku learned to use Super Saiyan as if it was his natural state so that there is no strain on the body & the power wasn't derived/activated by anger like before. That is actual mastery. Goku's style is to fight with emotion, but with Mastered Super Saiyan, Goku controlled & focused his emotions in order to reach greater levels of strength. That's how Goku has always improved.

Similarly, Ultra Instinct is about controlling your intense emotions to give the user focused & stronger power.

Anyway, this was just to show what true Ultra Instinct really is. It isn't some new emotion driven form of UI that contradicts itself.

Goku's True Ultra Instinct is Goku simply Goku refining his style through the silver haired form.
