Yet another cool detail from the Buddy Daddies opening — we get a rundown of several targets. I've increased the sharpness so that it's hopefully easier to see the details:

Let's start at the top-right corner.

Name: Mattie Car— [the name is cut off]

Age: 54

Height: 170 cm

Occupation: Jeweller

Details: The target from the prologue, Episode 1. Is killed by Rei when he tries to interrupt the papas while they're in the middle of a spat about Miri's runny nose.

I'm now going to move to the middle so that we can track the characters by which episode(s) they appeared in!

Name: Atsushi Hayami

Age: 32

Height: 178 cm

Occupation: Runs a human trafficking organisation — 'big Guy Brokers' [what a name]

Details: Miri's biological father. Is killed by Rei on Christmas Eve, Episode 1.

Onto the bottom-left.

Name: Heihachiro Matsuda

Age: 75

Height: 163 cm

Occupation: Narcotics Organisation Boss

Details: Starts off as Rei and Kazuki's target in Episode 2; however, after Miri waylays their mission, the trio have to make a swift escape and Matsuda lives. Is ultimately killed by Ogino in Episode 2's post-credits scene.

Now, let's go to the top-left.

Name: Kenji Terahashi

Age: 34

Height: 169 cm

Occupation: Robber

Details: Points a (fake) gun at Miri. Is beaten up by the daddies and then arrested in Episode 6.

Finally, we'll go to the bottom-right.

Name: Satoru Kaji

Age: 40

Height: 178 cm

Occupation: Traitor

Details: Rei's former mentor. Becomes Rei's target in Episode 8. Dies following a confrontation with Rei — Rei tries to save him, but is unsuccessful.

Fem!Near design

A bit about Near & Mello (see tags, too)

Rewritten scene of Near returning Mello's photo (+tone shift & take that I'd love. A more Kakegurui-esk portrayal of the women if they were gender swapped)

And also Fem!Matsuda in the back. Not very different, but shorter. Not shorter than Misa but noticeably so next to Light & L (she's the only one genderswapped within the Kira task force to have a clumsy, Kobeni (CSM) type girl to balance L's boldness and Misa & Light's lesbian insanity. She'd also still shoot Light at the warehouse which, like many of her other characteristics, I'd only let happen if it's in place of another woman.)

Matsuda remains very eager to help out & not much changes story wise (at least I haven't come up with things that'd underline her femininity like I have for Light & L, since Matsuda has a pretty 'feminine' personality already. I wouldn't wanna focus on her femininity too much anyway. Much like Kobeni in CSM)

Mello appears more vicious than she does in canon. She just feels kind of evil and vindictive, yet never actually harms Near when she gets the chance. Especially later in the story Mello loses a lot of his snide smirks and I'd like to replace those with boastful looks for his fem counterpart. She'd look very similar to her canon design with perhaps a few more stripes and piercings. I'd maybe wanna give her a bit more tan, too🤔😌 She's compared to a pirate and that's badly what I want to achieve with her.

The linked posts above say a lot about Near already, but I kinda love her & while rewatching Kakegurui for the 4th time this week it came to my attention that english Miri Youbami has similar voice qualities to english Near. Make of that what you will♡

Can't really say I have big plans on changing Matt too much, either. Unlike all other characters (except for L & sooomewhat Misa) she's got long nails. She'd have these square Acrylics that would peak out from the half hand, fuzzy-ended gloves she wears. She'd have long bangs that usually cover her eyes pretty snugly, wherefore she'd always wear her goggles on her head above them. Perhaps I'd give her a more enticing accessory, since she remains the sharp tongued, chill, pro blunt roller. Bell bottoms might be right. But those that aren't as tight around the knees & have pockets for hand hiding.

Devo ammettere che sei proprio in gamba Light, non solo li hai convinti a rimandare gli omicidi ma in questo modo potremmo ottenere informazioni da Namikawa e soprattutto…Hai fatto quello che avrei fatto io pensandoci prima di me però…A questo punto se le cose stanno davvero così anche se io morissi potresti ereditare tu il nome di L. (…) Se io morissi ti andrebbe di succedermi con il nome di L? (Se tu fossi Kira e stessi soltanto recitando accetteresti lì sicuramente)
