And at the end of the day, we resign ourselves to Qadr.
May Allah ﷻ make us content with His decree, ameen.

One of the most important things I’ve learned about love is that it’s found in the every day moments. The small choices of kindness, caring, and selflessness.
The fancy dates and big outings are fun, exciting. Something to celebrate once in a while.
But I will never fall in love with a grand gesture.
I want to love your Sunday mornings, our quiet dinners we cook together, and the walks around the neighborhood. How we read our books together and fold laundry. The early morning tiptoeing so I don’t wake you and the late night talking about everything and nothing.
Every days full of soft beautiful love is what I want.

Matters of the Heart (Hommage a Marc Chagall) ...
Short note: After a long hiatus I put my old easel back up and started painting again.
Yes. It takes time . But - big YESSS - it's worth it.

I would totally kiss you on the mouth or hold your hand if I just knew everything would be fine afterwards

Even though we say 'I love you'
It doesn't feel that way
There is something unsaid between us
I think we're both scared to say.

Have you eaten? (i love you). Did you get enough sleep last night? (i love you). How do you feel today? (i love you). Did you have a nice day? (i love you). Will you come on a walk with me? (i love you). Here's some fruit I cut up for you. (i love you) (i love you) (i love you).

We change so much as a person when we know we have limited time with someone. I wonder why we don't always live like that. I wonder why we take people for granted so much, especially our loved ones.

Never forget the child in you! It shows you how to speak without words, how to see with your heart, how to feel without feeling childish... U.N. Owen.

I wonder when I will stop feeling guilty for taking up space in your mind, for being held by and holding you, for the smiles stolen across rooms. Do I care enough? Do I care too much? Is it really alright if you bloom red and I violet?

‘Follow your heart’… so they say, but for some, the heart is silent and tells no tales, holds no compass and occupies the least space in the room.
What else is there to be followed?
