Vampire Poll 1

Scenario

You and a friend, who is a centuries-old vampire have been on a road trip across the US for several days, taking turns at the wheel whenever you need to sleep in the back seat through the night. She says she can handle it, but in the final stretch you can tell that being stuck in the passenger seat under the bright Nevada sun is starting to get to her, especially after having driven for days.

She’s low-energy, irritable, and complaining that she’s soooo thirsty for blood.

It’s been discussed before, and she absolutely refuses to drain blood from friends, and you are no exception.

Suddenly, she points and says “Vait, pick up zat ‘itch’iker!”

(Also, for extra information, in Eureka, vampirism is not contagious, nor is a vampire bite inherently lethal. Packaged blood is not an option, only veinous and arterial blood are.)

We have an announcement regarding activity going forward. We ask that all members read the information below, and like this post to confirm you have read it. 

As you all know, we were once a role play with very frequent activity checks, high posting requirements and very rigid activity rules. Since pausing activity checks during covid, we have reflected on what ideal activity looks like to us now. Many of us joined TFF in our teens and early 20’s, at a very different time in our lives with far more free time. A lot of us have quite literally grown up with this rp over the last (almost) ten years. In acknowledgement of where we are now in our busy adult lives, we have decided to do things a bit differently from now on: 

We will officially be bringing back activity checks starting in December. Going forward all members will only need to  post a minimum of twice a month, instead of twice a week. We encourage you to write to your heart's content, and to view this as the bare minimum. But, two posts is the requirement to keep your character and to ensure the dash moves at a productive rate. We want TFF to continue to feel like a fun escape from everyday life, not a chore. 

We foresee this being a transitional period, and know it may be strange to return to a more structured posting requirement. Activity in November and December will both be viewed much more leniently and seen as a time to get accustomed to the new activity limit. However, starting in January we will begin reopening characters if a member has not posted without previously letting us know they need a hiatus. 

We, as admins, pledge to encourage this activity with more events and site-wide plots going forward. We are queuing up month's worth to do our part in keeping activity up. We want to see TFF thrive, and perhaps even welcome some new members in the coming months. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

Bonjour à tous.te.s,

Tout d'abord, nous souhaitons offrir nos plus plates excuses à la communauté et ses membres ayant suivi ce projet avec enthousiasme et intérêt. Notre silence et inactivité étaient bien involontaire de notre part, mais malheureusement nécessaire en regard aux situations externes de notre quotidien (hors-communauté/implication virtuelle).

Nous avons à cœur de mener à bien ce projet, quoi que puisse en dire certain.e.s. En revanche, l'Ouverture et l'Administration de TEOTFW ne se fera JAMAIS au détriment de notre santé mentale, notre travail (IRL), de nos responsabilités et/ou de notre santé physique. Le moment était mal choisi et nous avions très certainement sous-estimé la charge de travail lié à la construction, l'élaboration, la rédaction, etc, d'un forum et du maintien de sa communauté.

Une pause était nécessaire afin de valider notre perspective quant à notre avenir sur la communauté. Nous ne voulions mener à terme cette aventure si ce n'était de la poursuivre AUDELÀ de son ouverture au public.

À force de réflexions et de dialogues, nous en sommes convenus que ce projet méritait une seconde chance.

Nous sommes donc très heureux.euse.s de vous annoncer la reprise OFFICIELLE du projet THE END OF THE FCKING WORLD.

De nouvelles excitantes suivront très prochainement.

En attendant, nous vous invitons à partager, liker et soutenir en grand nombre, car ce projet (en dépit de notre motivation) ne serait rien sans vous, la commu.
