Who knows why she got obsessed with you, most likely that she saw you taking care of the local stray cats and thought: "Nice kid." Perhaps she met you through Max Shreck, either way, she likes you.

A typical Gotham Darling is one who has no care, not aloof, but most certainly a little sassy. She would find this to be a nice break from people who she has to be nice to and the like, so she develops a bond with you as Selina.

She would use any money she has to give you little gifts, typically something with a cat, but occasionally, she might just give you something unrelated to a cat.

To you, this is likely just a nice person in Gotham who likes to keep animals safe, and happens to be an adult that is your friend.

But after what Max Shreck did to her, well...

She stops caring. You're her kid. Trying to trust people ruins lives, but she can't let that happen to you!

Once she snaps though, she definitely has no hesitation with kidnapping you.

She quickly trips over herself to get to her apartment, seeing a present she meant to give you sitting there. She stumbles over to the table. I wanted to give this to them. I want to protect them. But I can't, Max Shreck might hurt you! But I can't let that happen. I know...

So she quickly dons the Catwoman apparel, creating this new persona who can watch over you and protect you better than Selina ever can, and yet, you need a motherly compatriot to guide your way in life, so maybe she needs both...?

She follows you to your house, acting like this is a new happening, and decided just as quick as she became Catwoman that clearly you need her help, and as your mom, she has to help you!

And as such, you have now become the child of one (1) Catwoman and Selina Kyle!

Such a shame Max Shreck hit her where she hurts, 'cause she'll have to take out all threats to her child. Even if it means killing those closest to her or you.

Selina Kyle got a job as Max Shreck's secretary, both for the money and so she can get closer access to his wealth and confidential files. Originally she was going to sell any files she obtained to rival companies for a quick buck, but she stumbled upon something disturbing.

Shreck was involved in ALL MANNER of illegal trafficking. From weapons to drugs to people. Finding this out, she'd forward the information to Bruce and Kate, and they'd bust operations left and right together. Shreck still hasn't caught on why his operations are getting busted.

Selina still sells confidential business plans though. Gotta make money somehow
