Did I confuse the goodness of this dunya with the goodness of my day?
May I never be one to forget,
The tears of the unfortunate still fall unheard,
Even on the days the sun has faced me
- It’s only then I understand death

Reminder: There are around 10 000 described diseases in the world.. At least
If you woke up healthy today, that's good enough reason to be satisfied. I'm not trying to minimize other problems.. But those other problems disappear when you or your loved ones are sick.
Alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah, alhamdulillah
'Ubaydullāh ibn Mihsan al-Ansāri al-Khatmi (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever among you wakes up in the morning secure in his dwelling, healthy in his body, and he has his food for the day, then it is as if the whole world has been given to him."
Hasan/Sound. - [Ibn Maajah]

If a muslim posts about Islam don't assume they're claiming to be perfect, they're just reminding themselves and the rest of us cause " indeed reminders benefit the believers" (51:55)

I have not been a good Muslim, and I feel like that is why my life is not going well at all. I feel that I deserve the punishment. I’m afraid to make the same mistakes and return to god after lying that I will change.
اَلسَّلاَ مُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَا تُهُ
Firstly, your fear is a sign of your emaan. There would have been serious concern if you felt no remorse for your actions and made no effort to correct yourself. May Allah reward you for seeking guidance, even if it is in small quantities.
Secondly, sinning is a part of being human. If you were to consider it, if humans did not sin, it would never give Allah an opportunity to be merciful and forgiving.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I heard Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "When Allah created the creatures, He wrote in the Book, which is with Him over His Throne: 'Verily, My Mercy prevailed over My Wrath"
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
In fact, there is this absolutely beautiful hadith that I am so pleased to be able to share with you. This hadith is so profound it astounds me every time I read it. It goes as follows:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said:
By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them.
Sahih Muslim 2749
Verily Allah's love for you increases every time you turn back to Him in repentance, the Shaytaan take advantage of you when you start to have this kind of mindset, rather be appreciative of your fear of Allah and repent. You may find your heart feeling lighter. I would like to leave you with one more beautiful hadith, I know that this is all very easy to say but please know that this is why these acts are worthy of a reward such as Jannah.
Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "If anyone constantly seeks pardon (from Allah), Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not."
[Abu Dawud].
Please remember, it does not matter how many times you have to return to repentance, but rather that you are making an effort to do so. That is what matters to Allah.
اَلسَّلاَ مُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَا تُهُ, may Allah grant you only what is best for you and give you the strength to persevere through tough times.
