already so tired of ppl going "dedf1sh probably doesn't really use they/them and is gonna get shiver'd" like okay LISTEN UP what happened to shiver WAS A LACK OF GENDERING/PRONOUN USAGE *AT ALL* for her in most languages up until release, whereas with dedf1sh nintendo EXPLICITLY used they/them pronouns to refer to them. the situation is entirely different from shiver. nintendo didn't suddenly get conniptions over using gendered terms for splatoon characters, they just happened to not give any indication as to shiver's gender identity until that public statement. they are coming out the gates referring to dedf1sh with they/them, i know this is ranty but i cannot stress enough that their situations are entirely different. dedf1sh uses they/them, we weren't initially told what shiver uses, causing speculation, end of story.

tldr dedf1sh uses they/them and is not gonna get the same treatment as shiver

yesterday was my first day back on adhd meds after being without them for almost a month. I celebrated by watching 4 episodes of cm with commentary and enjoyed being able to actually pay attention to all of them! 🎉

now let's see if I can get back to writing a little more regularly instead of having to depend on sporadic periods of hyperfocus ♥️

It's really annoying when I'm still in bed when I should have been at school for hours now and then mama comes in and just says, "not good". Like, yes, I know that. I know I should go to school since school apparently is oh so important and for months, I've been going only half of the time or so. But I'm exhausted. Exhausted from my burnout at the end of november which I'm sure I'm not completely over yet. Exhausted from the burnout I got from putting the one paper I needed to write for school over all of my other needs. So exhausted it is hard to get out of bed when I have to school even on good days. So hard I had meltdowns right before school because I was telling myself, "you should go now. School's important" although I'm trying to unlearn the belief that school is the most important thing in my life. I'm trying to at least go to school, I promised my social worker. I know how important school is, even for me still. I know it's not good that I'm not going, mama, you don't have to tell me that. It's making me feel even worse. I have disorders, I am autistic, I have ADHD. I just can't do everything else as well and effortlessly as others. And I'm burnt out as well. Mama knows that, at least part of it. I'm trying, isn't that the most important part? I even have an appointment with the social worker and my tutors later about this. Can't that be enough?

the use of exclamation points is another aspect of gen z / internet punctuation i find interesting. not that many ppl use just one anymore. i think it goes something like this:

Hi! : expressing interest but intending to be grammatically correct, probably in formal context or talking to someone older

Hi!! : genuine interest, more conversational

Hi!!! (3 or 4) : really excited

Hi!!!!! (5 or more): being silly

of course this may change depending on the phrase but it’s what i’ve found, at least between myself and my friends!

phoenix wright is the kinda dude to fall asleep anywhere if he's tired enough.

miles edgeworth is the kinda guy who has to have the room at a specific temperature with 1.5 blankets on him, the right pillow(s), the pajamas with his favorite specific texture (the pink silk pajamas are for more than just looking good) and whatever specific background noise playing – sometimes video essays about the steel samurai, sometimes specific episodes of steel samurai, sometimes instrumental/steel samurai ost playlists, some specific streamers who gained popularity playing the samuraiverse cardbuilding RPG roguelike released several years ago or maybe even steel samurai asmr roleplay.
