Hi! I was wondering about the process of getting a diagnosis for autism or other neurodivergencies. I might have it, and I'd like to find out eventually.

But in case you can't click the link:

You could either go to your doctor with any evidence you've gathered (AQ10 or AQ50 results, school reports, a parent or someone who's known you a long time who can vouch for autism traits since childhood etc) and ask for a referral for a assessment, or you could contact a specialist privately and request an assessment. Private will cost money but you'll probably get seen faster. That's how it works in the UK at least! Other countries might be slightly different.

It's pretty much the same for ADHD :)

What app do you use to draw? I use IbisPaint (mobile) but I know there are better ones out there. I've just gotten used to it. Have any suggestions for better drawing/painting apps (that are compatible with mobile) that are free for download? (I'm so poor it's not even funny. 🥲)

I use Clip Studio Paint on a laptop with an older wacom tablet ( he's my beloved I will never part with him)

CSP does have a mobile app, but I've only used it once and I didn't think it was really worth buying :/ The only one I've used in the last couple of years was Ibis Paint and tbh its one of the better ones. I know a lot of people like procreate, but I've never used it. If you've got a tablet, Adobe Fresco is pretty decent!

could you please explain tma annie? i've seen posts tagged as that and was a little confused but since i only listened to the first season i assumed it was a character which gets introduced later. but now i saw your post comparing annie to goncharov and i'm wondering if maybe all those posts were just yours lol

there is a very minor background character named annie in the magnus archives who is mentioned in 2 statements, but "tma annie" is my oc. she started out as a tma oc which is why i use that tag. i should probably change it but i've been using it for nearly 3 years now and i thought the fact that i reblog the most batshit stuff imaginable to that tag would clue people in that he's not from the podcast itself >_< which is definitely my bad lol

what media/materials would you recommend to start getting into planes? Should I just pick a visual favorite and then research from there? I want to know all their names and what they look like because i live near a massive airport (seatac) and directly under the flight path. I want to plane watch and identify them like large birds.

BIG FAN of picking a favourite and going from there! Different things work for everything, but I like watching livestreams of airports personally. I usually watch LA flights specifically because their enthusiasm is contagious. I've been trying to get better at spotting, so sometimes I'll put their stream on mute and try and id the aircraft myself.

I like commercials, so I do focus on those myself and whilst I can't like, identify variants that well yet, I can usually get what model it is (i.e. an airbus a330 vs airbus a350 for example.)

I started a (very messy) scribbled art file (instead of a sensible word document or something) on features of aircraft that I should organise as it's how I try and pick it up.

OH and also as usual I recommend planespotters.net for photos of aircraft (because you can filter by manufactorer, model or their registration etc.)

And you can also practice when planespotting yourself by using Flightradar24 or ADSB that do live flight tracking to see if you're correct.

what software do you use for digital art? also what brushes

i use krita! the brushes i typically use are the large chrome brush and the shapes fill brush. i like to work more with shape when i draw or paint. plus a lot of gradients recently.

I have a really important question, how do you feel about your art being used in edits ? And I don’t mean taking your whole amv/pmv and changing the audio , I mean taking a few clips here and there, I want to make sure I’m not crossing any boundaries or anyone else

honestly ive been goin a lil back and forth for a while on how i feel about it; at the moment ive kinda been like i dont really like it but i also dont rlly care enough for it to actually make me uncomfortable/upset ? and then i think maybe i should just let ppl use it for edits if they dont bother me Too much idk... The only thing i know for certain is (wht u already mentioned) do not go taking my whole video and changing the audio etc. But just a few clips agh im not quite sure yet Sorry for the wishy-washy answer I know that's probably frustrating :( I'd say for now I'd prefer if people don't use my art/animations in edits but if that answer changes I'll update it in my FAQ on my tumblr and prob reblog this to inform ppl of it

im on mobile so i hope everything links correctly 🙏 i talked about gif making before here and here, and i dont have much to add to that sadly — i am a horrible explainer when it comes to tutorials so i dont think i will make one (and theres already quite a few out there that are way more helpful than i could ever be LOL) i also want to add that i’ve been making gifs for a few yrs now and the way i make gifs is kind of longwinded since i use an older version of photoshop + i dont use the convert to smart object option, so im not entirely sure a tutorial from me would be helpful anyhow.

i do have another suggestion for recording software though, nvidia shadowplay (game capturing)! i dont use it personally, so i can’t vouch for it, but i do know some people have said they use it and their gifs come out wonderfully!! it’s always worth looking at if you don’t have the screen capture feature w/ windows 10 or if you don’t want obs studio… that’s all the updates i have for gif making tho.

really curious about the narrative direction hades ii is going to go in. it seems like granddad kronos is going to be the boss in this like hades was in the first (though i have my own alternative theories nevertheless) and that’s cool and all but how will the story work?

the charm of hades’s story and characters lay in the way that it made its godly cast seem so human, and the conflict essentially boiled down to a family feud (albeit one with repercussions for the universe) that was resolved with a happy ending for all parties. the titans, however, whatever the gods’ faults, are depicted as truly evil — but they ARE still family as far as the game’s concerned.

are they going to stick with the evil character for kronos or take a more zagreus approach to it? melinoë’s quest certainly seems more classically serious and heroic than zag’s but i have a hard time believing they’d take such a huge departure from the themes of the original game in its sequel.

hey, no need to apologize! short answer: i'm not good at it!

long answer: i started playing flute almost 5 years ago (which is insane to think about) and while i was practicing or whenever i was bored, i'd look up sheet music to songs i enjoyed. however, a lot of the sheet music websites online require you to pay for the full music—that is until i found this blog that transcribed mostly pop songs, basically exactly what i'm doing rn

ofc i started wanting to play more songs (mainly musical theater bc i am unfortunately both a band kid AND a theater kid, which i think are the two most insufferable things u can be) that i liked, but it wasn't on that site. so i decided to try to start learning how to notate the vocal line or melody of a song myself, then thought other people might like having it available to them too, and thus i created this blog in december 2020.

i'd definitely love to try to notate in sheet music someday though!
