Valkyrie giving carol a hug in the marvels was so much better than the dont touch me robot she was in love and thunder
She was so, so... ugh. Perfect. That's what. Just look at Carol!
Girl, I'd be smiling just as much. And I love the holding hands during the kiss, it's such a cute gesture.
Not exactly letting go either, eh? Can't blame them. I'd be holding for dear life.
The only thing I would have changed is Valkyrie wearing the black suit from L&T, I am in love with that suit.
Goddamn this pic 🥵🥰
But yeah, she was great. I don't understand why we can't have more of her, Tessa is glorious and Valkyrie is such an interesting character, she can be truly amazing if given the chance. We got enough of her being emotionally distant in previous movies, she's proven she can learn and change so seeing her kindness and a bit of sweetness as well was very nice. That's what makes her so great, the fact that she can be completely detached one moment and super involved the next.

Unexpected Baggage Pt 3
Erik left the bar with three cooling bodies inside, hands tucked into his pocket as the door shut itself behind him.
Kamala was watching him carefully, positioned far away from the windows. He had asked her to wait outside, but he knew she had heard everything. Whether she could speak German or not, the gunshot and screams and blood splatters should be enough context for her to know what happened.
"I know..." He started off uncomfortably, "I know you have nowhere else to go. But that had to be done. The things they've done- you can't imagine."
"It happens, I guess." She replied dully, "Not, not really my place to say, is it? I just want Monica back."
Right. The woman named Monica Rambeau, who Kamala had come from the future to rescue.
"I have no idea how to do that." He admitted, "Searching the entire world is... An impossible task. But I'll try to figure out a way."
Kamala nodded, and briskly began walking away from the bar, "Let's get out of here. You get any information from the Nazis that I didn't hear?"
"He's in Miami." Erik replied, following after her.
"The... Herr Doktor guy or some other person connected to him?" Her question was disinterested, but he knew she was just pretending at it.
"It's Schmidt." He confirmed, and didn't add Finally, but the bitter excitement still poured through.
"He work for HYDRA?"
"Huh?"
Kamala nodded, readjusting her grip on her bag, "HYDRA, scientific weapons development division of Nazi Germany? They took over an American counter-terrorism wing after WW2. Huge scandal when the documents all got leaked. My friend Bruno and I learned cryptography to help decode them."
All this she delivered in quick expressionless monologue, and then tacking on, "Or, you know. Things could have gone differently in this dimension."
But too many details were lining up perfectly in his mind.
"Well." Erik decided, "Good thing America is our next stop."

a tommy&carol&steve friendship is so important to me...
i've seen a couple of fics where the three of them campaign and emotionally manipulate their way into becoming the top dogs. like tommy as the muscle, carol as the mouth, and steve as the face. maybe it's to protect themselves because in middle school, harsh rumors spread about carol when she and tommy started dating. when all it took to make them go away were tommy's fists and carol's words.
and steve remains the son of an influential couple, who are respected in town. he's a good boy despite his flirtatious nature, and he's got the basketball team to nationals or smth (idk basketball...). steve's big empty house is just the cherry on top, and when they start throwing parties, their spot at the top is solidified.
and yeah, they all mingle with the other jocks and cheerleaders, etc., but in reality, it's just the three of them. sometimes it feels like they're all dating (are they? you decide). sometimes it feels like more than that.
they've patched each other up, taken care of each other when sick, and held each other up to piss when they were too drunk to stand.
so when steve fights with tommy about being "assholes" and chooses to spend time with nancy wheeler afterwards, the two of them are bitter. all those years of friendship, all those secrets told and kept, all those shared dreams- meant nothing. so tommy and carol latch onto the new kid, thinking it'll make steve jealous. maybe he'd finally ditch wheeler and come back to them, where he belonged.
and then billy hargrove gives steve a concussion. it's not funny anymore, and tommy and carol can't help themselves despite barely speaking for months.
they're the ones who take care of him after billy's rampage. not his stupid parents, and definitely not that cheater wheeler. because in canon IN CANON steve isn't really seen falling from grace, so it's totally possible that he started hanging out with tommy&carol again.
but s3 when he says he's only friends with twelve year olds, maybe he means friends in town (which tbh i'm stretching here, but shhh). maybe tommy&carol are leaving for college and he's sure that they'll just leave him behind. so he's mentally checked out and started expecting them to forget about him.
but they don't. they couldn't. they wouldn't.

I haven’t watched The Walking Dead in years but I just found out about this Daryl Dixon spinoff show and how everyone seems to think it’s just copying The Last of Us. While it does in fact sound similar to The Last of Us from the short synopsis I read, I do think it’s a stretch to call it “blatant plagiarism” considering there’s only one episode out so far. Time will tell I guess, but I’m surprised that not a lot of people are bringing up Telltale’s The Walking Dead game
Badass survivor with a dubious past/trauma takes it upon himself to look after an orphaned child which he later comes to see as his own? Child later becomes a badass in her own right? Sound familiar?
It’s just funny that TWD is just sitting on this beloved gem of a story that predates The Last of Us videogame by a whole year and that could’ve brought in the gamer audience to their franchise as well, but instead they decided to put their money on Daryl Dixon in France lol
