Wanderer was bored. So he decided to go to the sanctuary of Surasthana while you we're 'busy running errands at the akademiya'. Or, that was the story you went with. "Errands?" Nahida was sitting on her swing while flicking through the pages of a colorful animal book. Slimes, Whopper flowers and even vishamps were all printed in bold along the pages with pictures and definitions in the corner. "Hm.. But I thought she was getting ready for the surpri-" Nahida stuttered and bit her tongue. Wanderer noticed. "What is it?"
he insisted and she nervously closed her book. "Well Uhm.. I know your stance has changed, But shouldn't you take some time off to compose yourself? Its your-" "My birthday." He said sarcastically. "I don't celebrate that Irrelevant holiday; it wouldn't even apply to me as I wasn't even given a concrete date of birth. Who cares, It's just a waste of time when I could be doing other things." Nahida got up. " Well, if you're comfortable, maybe you can give a gift to someone else? Someone you care about! You know.. your thes-" Wanderer groaned. "Yes buer. I know my thesis is due. Youve reminded me. SEVERAL. Times." She smiled, now that Wanderer was attending lectures and studied at vahumana, the little archon was eager to read out his findings. Nahida then waved him off as he turned away. 'A gift..' He immediately thought of you. What would you like this time? Make-up, Clothes, should he take you out on another date? He didnt have much mora on him at the moment, But didnt care since it was for you. Wanderer sighed, He'd just have to go off his own idea.
Wanderer fumbled with his keys. You probably still weren't home anyway. He thought. He did tell you how he felt about his birthday. For all he knew his existence was just a hinderance. His mother, Niwa's suffering… The deaths in the clans…. Wait. Is that why you stayed in the akademiya for so long? A pit began to swirl in his chest and eyebrows furrowed at the thought. Nahida was obviously holding out on something when she referenced you. He tsk'd then turned the doorknob "Y/n?" and was greeted to your shared house covered in decorations. Wanderer fell completely quiet as he looked around the house, there we're teal and white decorations along the walls, A feast on the table, then gifts neatly tied in a bow. He took off his kasa hat, hanging it up by the door. Many gifts we're lined up along the hallway. Two we're in sparkling green wrap. 'From Nahida, To hatguy' Was written on the tag. While 3 other gifts we're from you. He Opened the door to his room; Light came from underneath. "Y/n. Darling? Are you-" "SURPRISE!!!!!!" You yelled and jumped off his bed, Kuni blinked as he heard a pop and watched shreds of confetti fall onto his head, one on his nose that he blew away a bit annoyed. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" you ran up to hug him, practically jumping into his arms as you hugged him tightly.
You then pulled away as he looked you up and down. You wore a f/c dress, Stockings and a blue bowstring tied on your right wrist. He grinned and tugged you by his arm, pulling you closer and into his grasp. Before you could react his arm was already wrapped around your waist. "Hm. So all I have to do is indulge in this stupid holiday to have you wrapped up for me like this?" Kuni's gazed stayed focused on your now flustered expression with your body pressed against his, He trailed his free hand down to the hymn of your dress, Rubbing his fingertips along your clothed thigh. "Well..it is your birthday so I thought id-ah-give you~ something~" A small moan escaped your lips as he rubbed his hand along your ass, He scoffed a bit when he felt the latex of your stockings. "Oh? And what was that? This perfect body of yours that I can have whenever I want?" You nodded and stumbled in his touch, "Fuck.." Kuni let out a raspy breath. Your knee pressed against the forming tent in his pants. "If your done playing around, Im going to unwrap my gift now."
---
Kuni scooped you up properly, then placed you onto the bed. You looked at him eagerly as his pupils began to glow a fainter purple. He hastily took off his open chested kimono and bodysuit, discarding his vision as it dangled off the side of the bed. "Lay down for me." Kuni ordered. You complied and got comfortable, kicking off your flats and laying on the middle of the bed. He sunk his face into your neck and bit along your shoulder before leaving petals of kisses along your neck. You moaned softly into his ear and pressed your knee up a bit further, Stimulating him through his pants. "You- mn Slut. Rutting against me like this." Kuni bit harder, Sucking on your neck and creating red patches along your skin. He pulled away from your neck and smashed his lips against yours, His tongue eagerly intertwined with yours, Your lipbalm softly smeared against his own lips in friction as you moaned into his mouth. Kuni's hands shifted down towards your breasts, Cupping them harshly through your dress cloth. His member began throbbing through his pants, You wanted more. Touching him like this wasnt enough. Kuni pulled away and you whined. "Shh shh..Be patient my love." Your heart rate increased at his sudden sweet nickname, And as you we're distracted he pulled you near the edge of the bed and spread your legs. "K-kuni- wait! my stock-"
He tugged at the cloth and ripped it, Holes formed in the stitching near your thigh. Kuni's eyes widened a bit, You also had lacey lingerie on underneath. "Shit..You've been plotting this all day huh? To have me fuck you with these on?" His fingers pressed on the cotton, and slowly pulled your lingerie off as well. Your pussy was already glistening from his remarks and Kuni bit his lip. "God..I need to taste you right now darling, You look so good for me~ My perfect gift." Kuni leaned down in between your legs and licked along your folds. He was going to drag this out as long as he could. He took more short licks along your clit, Occasionally Licking at your bud while gripping you closer. Your legs twitched from his teasing. "Kuni..Please~ More~! I need it~!" You pleaded and kuni finally inserted his warm tongue inside your pussy. "Mn You taste s' good darling~" kuni's tongue licked along your walls and You bucked your hips a bit softly into his tongue. He then sunk farther in-between your legs, giving you a hazy sight of him pulling his bangs out of view and rubbing your clit against his lips. "K-kuni! wait your tongue~! Its-" "Loudher slut~ Mm-let me hear how good im making you feel~" You moaned into your hand while gripping tightly onto the bedsheets. Out of desperation to chase your high you pressed his head in between your thighs, Suffocating him in your taste. Kuni was so used to training himself how to breathe he forgot he was a puppet; He felt a bit lightheaded but couldnt help it as his length began throbbing so hard in his pants he felt as if he was going to cum untouched while rubbing your clit as you moaned out his name.
A coil snapped and you came undone, Letting out a muffled cry as you coaxed his lower face and tongue in your Juices, Squeezing your thigh one more time as your high subsided. The deafening silence blinked you out your daze as kuni got up from in-between your legs, Panting and his hair completely messy. "I- Kuni Im so sorry! Are you okay I didnt-" As you looked further down you noticed the wet stains coming from his shorts, He pulled the string and slid down his shorts and boxers, finally freeing his aching shaft. "Mmm..Fuck..You really are my slut arent you. My Pretty cocksleeve~" Kuni pulled up your dress finally over your head, frazzling your hair slightly and he panned your locks back in place with his thumb. "Spread your legs again for me.. darling And dont you dare-Hah..Get quiet again. Okay?" He said between panted breathes, you nodded and parted your legs again then held them up a bit until his tip grazed softly against your wet entrance, The puppet was already twitching from the contact and his precum smeared along your clit. Kuni looked up at you again, "Are you ready doll?" You hummed and he immediately plunged himself inside you, Moaning and groaning at your warmth.
"Ah~ F-fuck y/n." He bucked his hips up and down slowly. You wrapped your legs around him, pulling him closer as he kissed under your neck with your head rested on his pillow. Kuni let out heavy pleasured sighs in sync with your moans as you chased your second orgasm. With his face dug into your neck he searched for your hand, gripping at the bow then intertwining his hand in yours. Your body arched further as his bed began to creak from his quickening pace. His ornament and kimono fell off the bed with a slight clink, But kuni was in a daze from your walls clenching around his cock. "Y-your so tight y/n i- im fuck~! Gonna cum~!" Kuni tilted his head up, biting harder into your neck while your nails dug into his shoulders. You quickly came again, shuddering from your second orgasm as you coated his cock. Kuni soon came after, bucking himself balls deep into you with a harsh thrust, Ropes of his Cum gushed into your womb, Painting your walls the color of his seed.
Wanderer panted into your chest, The only sounds coming from him we're soft sighs of relief from his pent-up orgasm. He tried getting up, slowly pulling himself out of your stuffed pussy and fetching a towel. He then held your hand softly, gracing you up as he wiped any sweat or fluids off your body. He was deafly quiet and focused on cleaning you up. He sighed and got up until you gripped tightly on his hand. "Stay with me kuni…Please~?" Your eye lashes fluttered, Blinking out the small dry tears. The puppet stared at you as you held his hand. He was never showered with this much affection. Nonetheless for his birthday, He didn't know whether to get emotional or frustrated. And chuckled to himself at another one of his fatal flaws that he couldn't understand. "Heh. So needy arent you? Fine. I'll stay." Kuni then laid down with you ontop of him, planting a kiss on the crown of your head while you rested on his chest.
The next morning you woke up limp with your knees wobbling. You stumbled out the bed, noticing a pair of clothes sitting by the edge with a small note attached. "Not bad, I guess cooking is another thing Your reliable on. Lessor lord Kusanali is having me attend another Boring lecture, She says its 'important' But I don't really care. Ps. Check my desk when your done, Then meet me at the Akademiya. Hurry up."
On his desk was a bouquet of flowers….And another note. 'Thank you for the birthday gift darling.'
A/N: I Havent wrote in like...WEEKS omg :( Ty all so much for your patience and HAPPY NEW YEAR!. Thank you for reading!!!

everyone on the tag is like, “not saying finn is bi cause i’m not trying to speculate, but 👀”
And it’s like no, stop. that’s literally what you’re doing. you’re speculating. cause you reeeaally want finn to be bi, you’ve always wanted this, but you don’t want to feel guilty about it.
Like at least be honest 🙄
(also, so many of these people can’t separate finn from mike and want finn to be bi because they believe mike is bi, but that’s a whole nother can of worms)
the byler tag gives me psychic damage
Personally i think that this is becoming a way bigger issue only because so many people (excluding Me lol) really really really like posting and talking about these things when you can, for 0 dollars, not do that, and instead think something inside your mind and then move on with your life! I know this is insanely difficult for people for some reason, but it really is exactly how all of us should be acting, lol. My reaction to Finn posting something gay in his stories is basically "oh, ok" and that's it.
Also my unpopular opinion is that "speculating" about someone's sexuality is an enormous spectrum and not the 0-1 based system people think it to be. Being a g*ylor tagging her in your deranged post about 'queerbaiting' (???) / in general interacting with ANYONE to specifically inform them of what you believe etc / going full l*rry and acting like you know celebrities because of the SiGnS aNd CoDes, personally involving them = bad. Seeing someone post something gay and being like huh, maybe this means something, but ultimately who knows? = not bad. I don't care if people agree with this or not because if you've ever seen someone on the street / met someone dropping a gay hint and thought "they might be gay" then you too are a Filthy Speculator, lol. Not arguing against people having some weird fixation with Finn's supposed queerness for absolutely no reason and with no right because lord knows lol, but this specific thing would elicit the same "huh, maybe" if it was posted by anyone else i think.
Anyway, for people going as far as making it about Mike....
Tumblr media
I don't think that's true. It's way too early in the production process, and also feels irrelevant to work stuff to me, i think Finn just posted this. It happens sometimes. I don't think actors spend 24/7 thinking and posting about their characters.... And also once again, the film is the thing. If the show tells me something, that something i will take in mind, and if an actor Maybe Conceivably Perhaps is trying to tell me something in a super roundabout way (assumed, baseless) i will not take it into account. By all means have fun with theories etc, but i think this just holds no value as proof for anything 🤷‍♀️

I have more Eddie vs Feelings for you 😘 (it’s over 40K now, but it is also thiiiiisclose to being done 👀) @alyxmastershipper @imeasyeitherway 💕
It’s exactly 9:15 on the dot, enough time for Eddie to drive home from the station, enough time for his dad to get home from the church, and Eddie’s phone lights up.
“Hi, Dad,” he manages enough effort for a smile at the way his dad is wearing angry eyes and a dramatic glare. “How was the movie?”
“Horrible. Insulting. I cannot tell you how offensive. Why must every good movie be remade and turned into trash? There is no need to do this. Do these people not have new ideas in their head? Can they not come up with something?”
Eddie laughs and listens to his dad pick apart everything wrong with not just the new version of a movie he loves — one Eddie even remembers catching pieces of when he was a boy and it was a rare occasion where his dad was home — but the whole movie industry these days. It’s strangely comforting. But maybe it’s just because he didn’t realize how good it would be having something like this with his dad.
They talk for a while, or rather his dad talks, and a lump builds in Eddie’s throat. It’s nice that they have this. He loves that they have this. When his dad pauses and asks how Eddie’s shift was, he doesn’t want to talk about that. All he can say is, “I miss you.”
Maybe he doesn’t exactly miss El Paso, but he misses home.
His dad’s expression immediately softens. “I miss you, too. How’s Christopher? And Buck? How are your boys?”
Breath doesn’t exactly fit in his chest. It’s too rough, too jagged. His lungs are too compressed. “They… they’re…” His boys. His son and his partner. His whole heart, his everything. “Dad, we’re…” What does he say? They haven’t really brought it up or talked about it again. Eddie wasn’t sure how and so he put it off and now it’s cracking and pouring out of the stupid, unreasonable, nonsensical organ caged in his ribs because it’s too much.
How can anyone handle something that feels like this?
“We’re not together,” Eddie finally tell him. “Buck and I, we’re not actually. Dating. Or anything. But…” He can do it. He can say it. His dad already thinks it. He already knows. “You weren’t wrong. You’re not wrong. About how I feel for him. We’re just not, we’re not together.”
There’s something like surprise but mostly confusion that appears. “Why not?”
Eddie doesn’t have the energy or strength for all the reasons. “Because we’re not. I don’t know that he— It’s not really important.”
At that, his dad raises an eyebrow at him. “You love him?”
Eddie sighs. “Yes.”
“You’re in love with him.”
Come on. What the fuck does he want.  “Yes.”
“Do you not want to be with him?”
You know what. He takes it back. The whole missing his dad, missing home thing. Rescinded. He doesn’t want it anymore.
Except he does, but he’s too, too tired for this. “It’s not that. I would. I would be with him, but I haven’t told him. He doesn’t know. I don’t know that he… He doesn’t want the same—” He could easily lie and say Buck doesn’t want a future with children or partnership and a family, because it’s irrelevant at this point, but he doesn’t want to. He’s tired of lying and hiding and uncertainty. He’s so tired. And right now, he just wants to go back to feeling nothing. “He doesn’t want me. He wouldn’t want… He’s not, he’s not in love with me.”
The look Eddie gets is rather like the one Abuela gives him when he says something incredibly dumb and should know better. “Are you certain? Have you asked him?”
Eddie purses his lips and clenches his teeth and he should just say yes. It won’t make a difference. His dad doesn’t have Buck’s phone number.
… He hopes his dad doesn’t have Buck’s phone number.
He’s pretty sure Abuela does though. And Pepa definitely does. And both of those facts are very concerning.
“No, I haven’t asked him.”
His dad make the same stern face at him that he used to when Eddie would argue about anything with him. “How can you be certain if you haven’t asked? How can you know if you haven’t told him?”
“Dad. I know him. He’s…” The blood in his veins, the air in his lungs, the marrow in his bones, the twin match for his soul. The half of his heart that’s fantastical and romantic and pulses with wanting and feeling and dreams of a partner who he could share his life with.
He’d held both halves, drawn by each of his greatest loves. One biological, anatomical, that brings him life and purpose, reasons to survive, reasons to protect and teach and provide and comfort. The other fictional, whimsical, made of silliness, ridiculousness, warmth, romance. Both carry joy. Both he wants to keep. Both drawings he still has, but one is hidden, secret, taped on the door of his closet. It’s never meant to be anything else.
“He’s my best friend. And that’s more important.”

October 15th.
Hi, Spencer.
There is no such thing as “recent research” that says that coffee can replace meals throughout the day. I did my research, and this is total bullshit. If you are not eating healthy at least once a day I'm going to find you and I'm going to shove broccoli down your throat. (that's a threat)
Just FYI: just because you have 5 PhD's and people call you “Doctor Reid” doesn't mean you can say your opinion means you are a medical doctor. It is not a second opinion, therefore, coffee is not a whole meal, Spencer!
(I hate broccoli. It tastes so bad.)
Oh, and yes. I am one of those 14%. I can't stand them. I can't see or hear anywhere close to me. It's unsettling. They are unsettling and the costumes should not be allowed anymore. Have you ever watched American Horror Story? It explains everything — and stop calling it irrelevant facts! They're relevant to me, Doc!
Did everything end up alright in the end, though? Did your team get to solve it in time? (Please tell me there isn't a crazy clown running around Virginia...)
Oh, Spencer. Henry sounds lovely. I hope you are not teaching how to steal his mom's forbidden books, though. What do you mean “your magic tricks”? Is the Doctor Reid a great magician too? Is there anything you can't do?
I classify “troublemaker” as a cheeky kid who defies his mom's rules. Since we're on this topic... I used to steal cupcakes before their deliveries. My mom had a catering service. Every time the food was ready I'd go to the cupcake section — her recipe is the best thing, I wish I knew how to cook — grab five and then I'd hide somewhere to eat them.
She caught me once.
Switching the subject, it's understandable that you can't be impartial all the time during cases. You're human, you feel. This is normal. Don't beat yourself up for it, please. It's your job and you love it but with what you face every day, you can't expect to be happy all the time. Even I can't be, at my field which is nowhere near yours. You are allowed to feel sad, angry, anything, really. Please, know that, okay? And you can talk to me. Write. Send birds, whatever. I think over two months of exchanging letters we could consider ourselves friends, somewhat, right?
Okay, so the strangest thing just happened. I was just grading my student's midterms in my lab, then one of them walks in. We initiated a conversation, totally fine, he's a great kid. When he was about to leave he told me to not come to University on the 27th of this month (for some reason?) and he left. I didn't even think much of it until now. I don't know why but it unsettled me a bit? Maybe I'm just being paranoid. I'm sharing this here because it's late and I have no one else to talk to.
I'm exhausted, I need to get home!
About the book, I think Radcliffe makes me visualize exactly what is happening through her writing, that's what grabbed my attention. I've created so many theories and now I think all of them are wrong but I'm only halfway through the book. What spell did you put me under, Spencer? I don't like horror!
Anyway, remember to hydrate yourself and get a good night's sleep. I hope you have a great week, Spencer <3
(I'm glad you know what the symbol means now, thank your friend on my behalf!)
Ps: I read The Tell-Tale Heart and I had to sleep with one eye open tonight. Thanks, Spencer. I have to say I prefer Annabel Lee.
Love,
Iris.

S5 Pregnancy AU - I’d love to hear about!
Welp, this is embarrassing – mostly because this has been sitting in my inbox for almost two weeks, and I kept saying “I need to write something up!” and then… I didn't. (Or rather, I did, then I forgot to post it.) Sorry for the wait, Lil! Thank you for asking <3 (I'll divide this up because I keep writing about the process and how it came to be, instead of any actual, interesting facts.)
I have talked about this one in the past though I don't have a tag for it. The gist is what it says… (Early) S5 but CJ is pregnant. I had this idea over a year ago when I hit mid/late S4 in my rewatch. I thought it'd be interesting to explore some of her disappointment at that time if you added an unexpected pregnancy to it, even if I had the idea before even getting there, lol. Think, the ending-ish of Han, or parts of Disaster Relief. (Both of which do feature! I surprisingly focus a lot on Disaster Relief.)
The thing with S5 is that the timeline is so weird, and I feel I've also created one that isn't entirely realistic but I think it works within the story. (IIRC, the season starts in “May” but also July, then the Shutdown is in November, lmao. A few of the episodes are sneaky two-parters that flow into each other… See 5-6, 7-8.) I've finally gotten out of the no-man's-land I wrote myself into and the next chapter or two, knowing myself, will deal with 7-8! There are a couple of scenes that should be fun to write! (There are so many details I want to mention that are technically spoilers for early twists…)
Every time I had the urge to write it, I'd edit whatever outline I was working in, and though I kept some details… my muse decided to make a big change early on that completely changed the fic's direction. That, and my inability to write anything succinctly. No reason why this story will cross the 100k barrier in a couple of chapters, tops. (It's sitting at 85k across 12 chapters. I think it'll be less than 20 chapters total. Hopefully.)
This might be too long to share snippets, but I've shared some either on the server or here, a couple of months ago.
For more irrelevant details on the “process”…
As I hinted at, I wrote an outline or two around this time last year, because I couldn't stop thinking about it. When I say outlines, it's a general path for the story to follow – ideas, suggestions of dialogue and/or scenes I write to myself; all focused around some sort of chapter structure. I find it much easier to write if I write down where a chapter might go, even if it's just a few lines saying “This happens → then this → finally this;” otherwise, it takes me months. Some would say that I should post it and get encouragement that way but… I hate being dependent on something I can control even less than my muse? That's not for me, thank you. Mad respect for those who work like that.
It was meant to be short – 1-2 “long” chapters per trimester, more if needed, but then interludes in between trimesters. It's not that. Most chapters currently cover 1-2 weeks, but there is not really a pattern. I was afraid of having a fic that would take over my life like the WOWO did three years ago… And it has, but I've also taken breaks and not felt too guilty about them. I definitely don't want this one to sit in my drive and have me wondering what to do with it.
(The novel, aka WOWO, aka IM AU (2021): 150k written in a little over five months, even with extended breaks over the summer. Still hits, even with all its crazy decisions, maybe because of them, but it's also been too long, and it will always remind me of someone who kinda hurt me. Attempts to replace those memories by sharing the story with others, trying to gather whether it's worth posting, have failed, lmao. One day! Maybe!)
But yeah. Uuuuuhhhh. As I've said… Twelve chapters in ten months, 85k words… It's still not done. In fact, I've repeatedly said I am unsure of how to end it (beyond the obvious), but I'd estimate it to be under 20 chapters. I'm not posting it anywhere yet because I want to be able to edit it as a whole and try to make it more consistent; to add little details as I come up with them. There's also the fact that I am not skilled enough to write a compelling story that mixes politics and emotion into something remotely engaging. As a result, the story's politics are very surface-level, and probably repetitive at points, but it's also true I've always been more interested and focused on the emotional journey and the relationship(s) at its center. (Which should surprise exactly no one who's ever read one of my stories.)
But, as critical as I might sound of myself here, I am having fun writing this and I'm committed to seeing it through. I just keep having ideas for stories down the line, putting actual show events through a 'but she also has a kid' perspective.

hey! Aelin stan here, I just wanted to say that i've seen your anti Aelin posts and you make really good points! You're completely correct in pointing out that Aelin should in no way have all the "life experience" SJM throws at her or be able to play the queen card all the time. In my opinion, the root issue is bad writing and SJM's apparent inability to write MCs who aren't some glorified, deified "perfect" being who checks all the boxes ever imagined.
I honestly wish that we saw more of Aelin making her mistakes and having to deal with the consequences. Like yeah, we sort of do, but not in any real way, and I think that's one of the things we as readers in general but also as Aelin stans tend to gloss over. She was rash and impetuous and never seemed to suffer the consequences, and everyone around her backed her up even when they "were mad that she didn't tell anyone her plans." Again, i think a decent part of this is bad writing and a too-heavy relance on the fantasy as opposed to making characters believable, but Aelin was the main main character, she deserved more than being exalted to god status.
thank you for being a voice of critique :) feel free to respond however you think this giant rambling braindump deserves :)
Hi Aelin Stan! I hope you’re doing awesome.
First of all I’m so sorry for taking centuries in replying to this 😭 Thank you very much for taking the time to drop by and leave your question.
Thank you so much for reading my posts! I wouldn’t consider myself fully anti-Aelin, but I include the tag so people can navigate through the content easier and well, because that post, as you remember, wasn’t precisely hyping her up hahah 😅. I do, however, see she has lots of positive traits to her and actually like her, she has a special place in my reader heart.
I agree with you completely! It was most likely because lots of things were going on throughout the series. First, it heavily relied on fantasy, as you say (which is not bad and it’s part of why I loved it) but soon SJM was tasked with
-Generating lore for this fantasy world
-Explain fantastic elements as more characters were added (For example: Introduce Manon= Explain the whole dynamics about witches. Introduce Rowan= Explain the whole dynamics about fae and demi-fae)
- Weaving the characters and making them interact so we had a story
-Developing each character’s arc
- Bringing the story forward making it make sense
-Write romance for all these characters ending with more than 6 pairings
SO IT WAS A LOT GOING ON! And I do admire as a reader the amount of work this represented and how she brought it forward. in the end, the series counts with 8 books and it still left us wanting for more!
At the same time, maybe this was the reason there wasn’t enough space for development, introspection, accountability for Aelin. There simply was no space for this to happen! If Aelin suffered the consequences, as you very smartly mention, it would have required to edit the text and narrow certain elements to have space, or add 2 more books to the series and make it 10 (which I’m personally not opposed to hahah, but we know how editorial publications work and it’s already hard as it is to publish 8 books in a row!)
Perhaps the work got so big no amount of words did it justice. Maybe we wouldn’t have gotten Elide or Aedion. Who knows how it would’ve gone.
Many readers mention in their critiques of TOG the space management (aka: reading and editing to cut out irrelevant parts and make reading more efficient and straightforward) What I can say about it is: I agree, however, SJM is the writer. We must respect as readers that maybe these parts in her mind were specifically relevant to her and helped her build this big fantasy world in her head. Many parts could be left out to make it “neater” but it’s easy to critique when you’re not the one who’s writing.
Throughout the 8 books, I felt SJM’s necessity to transmit. She wanted to take us into the narrative, clarify all of the reader’s questions and she did a commendable job in doing so. However, she did drown in words in some parts. Sometimes you were reading and the narrator was talking and talking and you couldn’t help but think: ???? Why is this relevant? Hahaha
Maybe these parts could be used for the character development we were seeking at the expense of cutting out certain details from the books.
Well, you have no idea how much I love engaging in these types of conversation so I really have to thank you 🥹❤️ I send you a hug wherever you are and you’re not rambling! It makes so much sense! I can see you’re an avid reader 💕
Lots of love and if you ever want to discuss books again I’m here! Promise to take much less in replying.

so, the other day there was another one of those "sam shouldn't be cap, they should make the most of him as the falcon" posts in the tag and some adjacent stuff has been legit straight up haunting me so I guess i'm going to write about it for some ungodly number of words
i) Concern Trolling (Part 1)
The obvious thing straight off the bat is that this is such a disingenuous take. It has all the trademarks of "here's a appropriate-sounding reason for me to take the same position as the reactionary racists without sounding racist myself". It's textbook. They're not opposed to the idea of a Black man leading the avengers and taking on this important title, they're just concerned that they're not doing the character of the Falcon justice. Like, come on. You can smell the bullshit from here.
Now, I don't know this person's mind, and it's likely that they believe what they're saying (weirdly enough, most concern trolls do, to some extent). Moreover, it's possible that they are the rare example of someone who genuinely just happens to have a specific belief that alligns with the reactionaries, but it's just this one thing and they have good reasons for it.
So... let's explore that possibility. What good reasons are there to object to Sam's time as cap?
ii) Is Being Cap Bad for Sam's Writing?
There is this irratating phenomenon from Sam's cap era where he'll be pushed into a role that was clearly written for Steve. This ranges from dialogue choices to physical roles in action scenes. Sam is not super strong - he's a super acrobat and friend to all the woodland creatures. Sam is not a military man - he's a social worker. Sam's politics are more cynical, and more radical than Steve's. Sam's more sarcastic, more of a complainer, but also more flamboyant and more "free-wheeling".
Many of his appearances as cap flatten Sam, make him honestly kind of boring at times. The writing is just whatever bog-standard captain america thing they thought of and Sam's own personality is absent. This is most common in Avengers storylines, where he's not the focus, but even Symbol of Truth - a series ostensively about Sam - ended with the villain monologuing about how Sam "thinks he's america's greatest patriot". And, like, no. No he doesn't. Even for a villain line it doesn't work because it's not just wrong, it's irrelevant. That line could work if directed at Steve (depending on the context), but makes no sense with Sam. He doesn't think he's a great patriot, because he isn't, because he thinks patriotism is dumb. Like, it's kind of his core feature when he's first introduced lol.
What's happening here is that Sam is being handed over to writers who don't know him well, and in some cases don't care about him and maybe even don't like him. This leads to bad writing, ooc appearances and a general sense of a wasted opportunity.
There's a point (made in the original post that got me started on this), that the captain america role is inherently limiting and maybe even inherently boring. I don't agree (see part v), but I would agree that in practice, the role has been limiting on Sam's character and, on multiple occassions, constrained his writing.
iii) The Two Caps Thing
This is something I've complained about before, but the obvious problem with samcap is the shitshow that has resulted from having him and Steve "share" the title.
There is nothing wrong with it in concept, the problem is entirely in how it's played out in practice.
Steve is in a new comic every week, often more than one, often plastered all over the cover. He appears in crossover events, and is often featured heavily in other hero/team's stories. On top of this he has cameos, ranging from small appearances to more meaty roles.
In this same time period, Sam was in Symbol of Truth, and now Avengers. No other series featured him. You'd see him once a month at most. He has cameo appearances in this time, but only a handful. These cameos have been often wordless appearances, or contain a line or two of generic dialogue.
This is ridiculous. It's embarrassing for Marvel. It's an absolute shitshow. They are not "sharing" the title. Functionally, as far as Marvel comics has been concerned for the last two years, Steve has been Captain America and Sam has been barely present.
iv) Concern Trolling (Part 2 - a.k.a. Why the last two points are redundant)
The obvious thing to point out, is that none of this would be any better if Sam was still the falcon, because it's been happening the entire time.
Sam being written badly? Been there since arguably the beginning. Sam being written ooc because the writers don't care about him? Since the 80s at least. Sam being a stock military tough guy? The 00s called and want their ideas back. Sam barely being featured in preference for more wanking over Steve? Yeah, that's literally the late 70s when Jack Kirby took over the series for a stint, and it only got more common from then.
Due to a combination of factors (let's be clear - Racism is the big one), Sam's been written terribly on many occasions since his introduction. And, for the same reasons, he also just doesn't get featured as much, and gets shelved and ignored a whole bunch. It ends up creating a vicious cycle, where Sam isn't around, so no one thinks to include him, and when they do, they don't read anything about him because they don't care, which then leads to them portraying him blandly or even ooc, which does him no favours and makes writers less willing to include him.
Obviously there is still plenty of good Sam writing out there, but my point is that all the problems we see in his cap era are the same problems that have been around for decades. The 00s in particular were bad for literally all marvel Sam's character.
Honestly, I personally think that if Sam had never become cap, he'd barely be in comics nowadays at all.
So, if someone says "i'd rather Sam was the falcon, so that they could explore his unique personality and backstory, and not saddle him with illfitting tropes and bland characterisation - and so they could really give him attention and focus on him" - yeah, that sounds great but it would never happen, and if you have any familiarity with this character's history, you'd know that. It was standard practice to ignore and under-write Sam as the falcon; what on earth makes you think that pushing him back to that (less prominant) role would fix anything?
I think that's why I find it impossible to take this position seriously. If you're a fan of the character, you'd know that the idea of the falcon being done justice by marvel is an unrealistic fantasy. It's hard not to assume that someone is being disingenuous when they suggest it.
v) Is Being Cap Good for Sam's Writing?
If we let this conversation get a little more abstract for a second, and not about Marvel themselves (and the decisions of writers and editors and marketers etc.), there's still a question of whether having Sam be captain america is a good creative decision in and of itself.
I mentioned before how Sam is not a patriot, and he openly derides the whole cap thing throughout the 70s. So, you could say that there's something ooc about him being cap... but I'd disagree. Sam's decision in 616 (and MCU while we're here) was made after Steve asked him to do this, leading to his own mixed thought process on the matter. I think that's good drama. Sometimes having a character be pushed into doing something they wouldn't normally do is good actually, because it puts them out of their comfort zone and gives us a story.
Similarly, his move to become cap again recently was also because of a push, a pressured decision - this time from Misty and the Avengers.
Sam's 2015 series is genuinely great. The art is great, the characterisation is strong, and it bridges the gap between Sam in the 70s and the present day in a really satisfying way - it feels rooted in him as a character in a way so much of his writing isn't. Is it perfect? No, but it is good. And I bring it up here to make a very important point: having Sam be cap opens up an entire range of storytelling possibilities that aren't there with him as falc.
It changes his position relative to other superheroes, it changes his relationship with Steve, it makes him more important in people's eyes - it's Sam in a different, more complicated stage in his life. A stage where he's beholden to more people, has different responsibilities. It's good, actually.
Like, I get that this is heresy in comic book world but yes sometimes changing the status quo is good, actually.
vi) Clinging Onto the Falcon
I do think that Sam's unique history as the Falcon should not be abandoned in favour of the cap stuff. He's a bird prince and a free wheeling flyboy and all of that. That past identity is still his, even if he's using a different title.
One thing that has bothered me in the post samcap era is that sometimes Redwing is treated like he's Joaquin's now. Like, Redwing is a full on person with human-level intelligence and one of Sam's closest friends, and sometimes he gets treated like an accessory to hand over to the new falcon. It's weird and dumb. In general, Joaquin has a different relationship to the whole bird thing to Sam, and his character isn't a one-to-one replacement for him. Just like how Sam is not anything like a replacement for Steve. Fundamentally, they play different roles.
Redwing is still Sam's partner, the bird thing is still Sam's schtick, the Falcon is still kind of Sam's identity - it's just shared. And I think remembering this - bringing all the aspects of sam's identity together - is part of the solution to the less than satisfying writing we've been seeing.
vii) Conclusion....???
There's nothing inherent to Sam being Captain America that makes him difficult to write well, and the premise is actually a great springboard for storylines that do centre him and respect him. Do they all do that currently? No, but the problem there is upstream of what superhero title he has.
What Sam needs is basically just more material - he needs a new solo (which I would assume he'll be getting between now and the film release because bRaNd sYnErGy), he needs other substantial appearances outside of that, he needs multiple writers throwing their towel in the ring and giving a more varied perspective, and maybe needs a couple of memos from editorial with some guidelines on characterisation (and art).
Like, ok I am basically saying that in order to fix unsatisfying writing, the writing needs to be better. But yeah. Whatever, it was like a one sentence post that set me off on this...

I've already blocked this person, and it was clear from the notes that they don't care about facts or anything besides being hateful towards religious people. But I'm so fed up with seeing this sort of stuff in the Judaism tag. No matter how many accounts I block, there's always at least one more.
Tumblr media
And this isn't just a weird one-off. This account was full of antitheist ramblings and "religion is a mental illness" posting.
I'm including the comments both for context and because @wenevergotusedtoegypt gave some absolute gold that deserves to be seen. (So now if you see me randomly tagging my posts as "Pluto" you'll know why :D )
Tumblr media
In case you're unaware, Xtianity is pretty much completely irrelevant to Judaism. Essentially nothing about modern Judaism would be different if Xtianity had never existed, other than hopefully fewer of us having been genocided (there would also probably be some minor liturgical differences).
I'm beyond done with ex-Xtian atheist antitheist types acting like every religion is just Xtianity with a different veneer. (Which is literally exactly what a lot of fundamentalist Xtians believe and teach, and you'd think these people would be more skeptical of things fundies say. But they're not because they haven't actually unlearned fundamentalism, they've just joined a new variety.)
If you genuinely believe that all religious people around the world of all different religions are only religious because they're brainwashed, and you need to save them - 1) again, that sounds exactly like Xtian fundamentalist proselytizing, and 2) you're literally never going to convince someone to leave their religion if you don't know anything about it and can only attack it based on things you've learned via Xtianity (that will, in fact, make them even less likely to listen to you).
If you want to convince Jews to not be Jewish (and this applies to other religions too - I'm just using Judaism as an example here), 1) that's genocide, but if you're still committed to your cause, 2) you need to address Judaism on its own merits and examine its actual flaws, not the ones you assume it has because of Xtianity, which 3) requires actually learning about Judaism and Jewish theology and practice, at which point you might realize that religion is more complicated than just belief in a deity and that maybe you should question your own self-righteous white saviorism variety of atheism.

Tagged awhile ago by @blackreaches and @leviiackrman to post some of what I’ve been working on and as a surprise to no one it’s still ff based. So have a little from three different pieces. Tagging: @belorage @florbelles @strafethesesinners @heroofpenamstan @dihardys @adelaidedrubman @jackiesarch @confidentandgood @themarcspector @indorilnerevarine @shellibisshe @jacrispea @shallow-gravy and anyone else that has something to share!
Let’s start with a little Carly and Thancred bonding....
Carly groans, letting head fall back far enough to see the man hanging from the vaulted stone ceiling, his eyes glowering, “I thought you two were a thing? She should be banging down the door by now.”
“Or they have some other plan that’s more covert,” Carly rolls her eyes, “they can tell when something’s a trap.”
“She can’t, not when her emotions get the better of her,” her feet find a spot on the old wooden table, “It was a fairly obvious trap when we invited her to dinner.”
“You mean when Zenos tried to infiltrate our group via possession of her body? Consider my invitation declined next time you decide to throw a dinner party.”
Her eyes narrow, sitting up and turning the chair to face him, “It wasn’t to infiltrate your little group. It was to make a point. Knock her down a few pegs, something she sorely needed. He was helping her.” Carly begins to pace, “She would have gotten much too reckless otherwise, forgetting just where she started, drunk on the power of protection from a god. She needs to be reminded just what it feels like to be me and you.”
“I wouldn’t start comparing us,” Thancred says with a smirk, “you might find yourself coming up short.”
She growls, “Were you gifted with anything special, Boy Toy? No, you weren’t. Hells you would’ve ended up dead a long time ago had you not gotten lucky. I wasn’t either,” she makes her way to the wall of hanging weaponry, fingers tracing along the edges of circular blades, “just a passion.”
“So you were always a Zenos fanatic like Asahi.”
The blade flies out of her hand past his face, just close enough to trim some of the white hair falling into his face, “Don’t insult me!”
“Then just what was it you had a passion for?”
She barks out a laugh, “Are you trying to coax the mundane backstory out of me to justify your hatred for me? Want to hear of how I was a spoiled brat of some high ranking officer or maybe how I slept with the right people to get far enough into the military to become my heart’s right hand? What story will make you hate me the most? Make you misunderstand me much like you misunderstood him.”
“He nearly killed her!” He yells, jerking against the restraints, “He nearly killed all of us at one time or another.”
She lets out a beastly growl, lunging at him with a knife pressed against his throat. “He saved her!” She grinds out, “Zenos saved her. Or did you forget that part?”
“You weren’t there to see the state he left her in after he finally brought about his precious death match.”
“And I didn’t get to see the state she left him in, because she couldn’t have been bothered to at least bring his body back.”
Here we see Sib bonding with Emet :)
“I don’t think anyone would call a wedding mundane, or are you a cynic about love?”
She rolls her eyes with a groan, “When making a comparison to events happening in the world at large many would classify a wedding as mundane and irrelevant.” Their eyes scan, both landing on the elder that the young man referenced earlier, “You know the boy dancing with Minfilia told us that they introduced new traditions tonight.”
“So?”
“Well they weren’t new per se. The last living elder has lived long enough to see the night sky return and with it traditions that he had only seen as a child. By bringing back the night we brought about a piece of these people’s culture that would have been lost without it.”
Emet-Selch crosses his arms, “It could still be lost in the future, so why does it matter to you so much?”
She shakes her head, fingers tracing along the former perfume bottle on her hip, “Nothing is lost so long as it’s remembered, I’d have thought you of all people to know that.” She chuckles, “I’m sure you were adverse to all the fun things back in your day but you must know what they were. What it looked like, sounded like, tasted like, the things that make places and people feel like they’re alive.” Emet looks away with a frown, Siberite tilting her head, “Did the Convocation ever hold things like galas? Or events where one of them made a fool of themselves? I think I would have loved to see Lahabrea do like a chicken dance attempt,” she performs a dance in front of him with a smile, “Something like this?” The old man stays silent, the creases in his brow deepening, Siberite’s smile starting to fade, “Surely you guys couldn’t have all been stiffs focused on knowledge and things pertaining to it?”
“Of course we weren’t,” he snaps finally, making her take a step back, “We had dances, art, and music that you could never dream of.”
She smiles, nodding, “You know, if I didn’t have such a distrust of you still, I’d ask if you show me something that you know. Even if it’s terrible because you’re a bad dance partner.”
“And you’re any better? I have yet to see you take to the dancing here.”
“I’m quite a good dancer actually.”
“Your first attempt would say otherwise.”
“Because it was meant to be embarrassing.” She clears her throat, shaking out her limbs, “Observe.” She raises her hands as her feet move in a square, spinning as if she had a partner, back rigid and porcelain smile stuck until she finally brings the demonstration to a close.
“You picked a Garlean dance? I didn’t think you’d have taken the time to learn such things.”
“Figured it might jog some memory of how you used to dance. As for learning my parents thought it good to contemplate a marriage into the empire. Guess I dodged a bullet there.”
And then have a little of more Anthea and Hythlodaeus because I love them
He stands, placing his mask back on before putting the pot in the bag once more, “Follow me. There’s a lovely little terrace two floors up.” Anthea follows one step behind, head down, “Is everything alright, Anthea?” He asks once they’ve entered the elevator, making their heart flutter when he uses their name.
They nod, “Yes, I’m just lost in thought it seems.”
“A researcher like you, I find that unsurprising,” he chuckles. He weaves them through offices and hallways with ease towards the south end of the building. The glass door in front of them shows a small section of garden, a big maple tree casting enough shade to allow for one to have a comfortable meal at one of the tables underneath its leaves, and the beige stone stark against the dark colors of the building. When they step outside Anthea‘s breath catches taking in the little garden in full, with its two big trees, six tables for eating, four for games, and a number of benches with different levels of sun but all able to get the cool breeze that makes this place a paradise in the hotter months. They frown seeing a few spots that lack upkeep, something that doesn’t escape Hythlodaeus’ gaze. “Your specialty is flora, correct?”
“It tends to come out much better than fauna that’s for sure,” they let out a light laugh, “but that may be due to my lack of experience in committing to creating things from my own ideas.”
“It will come in time, but if it doesn’t then perhaps that is your gift to the star.”
They look up at him, eyebrows raised, “Can making mistakes truly be seen as a gift worthy to bring forth unto mankind?”
“Based on your record your ‘mistakes’ have all been seen fit to remain for testing and some have built off of them.” He guides them to sit at a partially covered game table, “If anything I’d dare say you’ve brought the most gifts to mankind as some things would not have come had it not been for your ‘mistakes’.”
Anthea’s shoulders relax, smile returning, Can it really be argued that I have already begun my road to contributing to the star?. “Why ask me such a thing to begin with?”
“Ask you….Oh! You looked at the flowers so sadly I was going to suggest we assist in their upkeep.”
“Oh,” they blush, “Right. I should have thought of that.”
“My creation magics I will admit are lacking and I believe it would be most helpful to have someone much more skilled at my side.” His smile is soft and reassuring, the heat from his hand warming theirs as the two have accidentally placed them too close to one another. Anthea doesn’t say anything about it and simply nods to answer his request for their assistance, “Ah, wonderful!”
“I won’t be cutting into any of your other work will I?”

Yes, yes, YES! AO3 is designed EXACTLY to protect people from “DISCOVERY!” Even the people you personally think are bad people! Even you! And if you think that a site that DOESN'T leave its users open to bashing, witch hunts, doxxing and harassment is a bad site, then it can only be assumed that YOU want to bash, witchhunt, doxx and harass people who don’t meet your moral standards. That is not a good thing! It is not!
And you are as free as the wind to criticize any fic you choose so long as a) you are not doing it in front of the author b) are not threatening the author and c) are not doxxing the author. Discord is a great place to do that! PRIVATELY. You are also free and encouraged to make any amount of helpful educational posts for the young and easily impressionable warning them of things that are not alright irl and what to do if you recognize yourself as a victim of one. How many such have you made lately?
And btw, anyone with any understanding of library studies will tell you that AO3's tagging system is a miracle and the envy of absolutely any such organization. There are plenty of such posts on tumblr! Look them up, maybe!
Tumblr media
like i clearly and repeatedly explained in the post, "good archive" and "prevents users from discovering its contents" are mutually exclusive. this is the entire point of the post and ultimately irrelevant to whether or not i personally approve of the content. as i said repeatedly, assuming you could read and understand words, the problem is that a search system that CAN'T FIND WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR or gives you almost entirely irrelevant results is a shitty search engine.
ao3 provides zero actual protection from doxxing or harrassment, it just has a shitty search engine. they didn't even let you block users until very recently. you might as well say my tumblr blog has incredible protection from witchhunts because the search bar can't filter tags.
a user who has trouble with a badly designed website isn't inherently Young and Stupid, you're just so up your own ass that you think memorizing 80 euphemisms for pedophilia makes you a supergenius. like i said explicitly in words, a library that incorrectly files or provides literally no relevant information on its contents is a bad library.
but yeah no "you can't criticize media publicly" is the kind of deranged take that would get you laughed out of town and pelted with tomatoes in any creative community except your social bubble. you being such a loser that people talking about how the romanticization of sexual assault can lead to its normalization in society, an extremely well documented phenomenon, makes your glass bones and paper skin shatter is firmly a "you" problem.
ultimately my post was making a utilitarian argument about whether or not ao3 is an effective archive. it's not. i have no problem with archives that store works by bad people that explicitly argue for awful things, and in fact i think they are vital to maintain for the reasons i stated. i just understand psychology and realize that if someone writes raceplay porn that the author should not be immune to criticism just because the archive itself is necessary.
but yes, i do think that some works should be restricted from, like, 6 year olds. some people, like elementary schoolers and you, don't have the mental capacity to understand cause and effect, so giving them propaganda for certain ideas when they don't yet have the ability to think critically can lead to them wholesale internalizing whatever they read.
and i do think that it is bad to write a book about how epic and good rape is. i think we should take that book and put it in a library so everyone can see that you think that and criticize you for it, and if that hurts your feelings you shouldn't have published it. i fully understand that authors can write books where characters espouse and even encourage ideas that the author does not hold, however it's thoroughly bad reading comprehension to assume that you can't ever read something and a) analyze what ideas the narrative itself supports while also b) when applicable, understanding that a book that endorses ideas and an author who endorses them irl are not correlation without causation.
also the 'if YOU think some people are bad that must mean YOU are the REAL bad person' is just such a stupid logical fallacy. some things are different from other things. lemonade is different from microplastics. gay sex is different from racism. the difference between me and you is that i know what i'm talking about and you're repeating bullshit slogans from people obsessed with a website that doesn't work very well.
in conclusion,

Hey, hope you don't mind me coming here about your addition to my tags on the "meet and greet" post? 🥺
I just wanna add that yes, meeting fans without taking money for it is totally possible even if there are like 400-800 people at the show... (of course it is) and at almost every concert I've been to (exception are twenty one pilots and I think alestorm, but I didn't check if you could meet them because I didn't care about it) the bands were always like "yeah, as always we'll come to our merch stand in a bit to have a chat or a beer, take some pics and give autographs so feel free to join us there!"
And that's what they always did (at a show with 4 bands the main act didn't but that's because I think they don't do anything like this in general?). I can say that I have a bunch of pics with quite a few bands/band members, bands that are about as 'famous' as blind channel or even more known. Also idk how many signed records or shirts I have from these bands (one of them used to be my favorite band until last year so I've seen them quite often before covid started) and they always tried to take their time with as many fans as possible. Young fans, teenagers, young adults or even adults and elders.
Example: I asked most members of my former favorite band if they could record a small audio for a friend of mine who doesn't have the chance to see them but liked them a lot as well and they took their time to do that. Some just a quick "hi, this is xy, sorry to hear you can't be here but I hope you'll get a chance to see us on our next tour!" but one even spoke for a whole minute after already having talked to me and a friend for like 5min and having taken pics with us and given autographs... (even got a hug from the members I asked which... 🥺😭🤲🏻)
So, idk if I'm just spoiled and simply used to very different behavior where the artists are happy to meet the fans and interact with them as much as they can and would never even think about taking money for that (admittedly the members of these bands are between... 30 and 50? So maybe that's a difference as well?) or idk... So maybe I'm not the right person to really form an opinion on this whole topic?
Sorry for this super long text which might be super boring and irrelevant (and very biased/personal) but uhm... Yeah I felt the need to share my experiences when it comes to this whole artist/fan interaction.
Oh and, I've been to probably 20+ shows (club gigs and 'festivals' (not really festivals but it's hard to explain)) so it's not like that was a one time experience ^^
I don't mind at all!! And exactly, so many bands do that for free! Sure, it's not something you should take for granted because they're sacrificing their free time, but that's part of building up some kind of connection with the fans to let them know you're "one of them" and not like, better than them. And often to just thank them for the support
I was in an American band's fan club for almost two years until they broke up and they regularly interacted with the members and sent us stuff they were working on and just random things and exclusive competitions (I won a necklace once lol). Tbh they're probably the band I know that cares the most for their fans
And the audio thing is so sweet omg 😭🥰 a friend of mine got a birthday video from Olli Herman because she's been a Reckless Love fan for so long and he's just the sweetest 🥺
I generally think Scandinavian bands (especially Finnish) tend to be more,,, personal towards their fans? Even when they're already more popular, they come to meet their fans. I've heard of Michael Monroe doing that and he's been huge since the 80s

Concerning the exo one direction cold war that is apparently still going on in 2024. With exol allies tagging into the fight
kpop fans pls stop insulting 1d with the passive aggressive group bullying thing, yes harry is now older and wears fashion that's extra and he's an easy target but those who live in glass houses shall not throw rocks--when he was in 1d in their prime he was unproblematic, naturally beautiful, nice, kind and would literally cry for other people if they were crying he's so empathetic and sweet. I would assume all the bad karma that hits kpop every blue moon would inspire some deep thought, y'all faves aren't perfect I promise you. No member of 1d has ever spoken on kpop ever I've only seen them react to stuff if people beg them and it's usually just wow this is good. No bitterness or weirdness. Literally probably don't even think kpo like at all. Yet don't matter what kpop fandom or how old the person I've just seen so many genuinely mean things come from even 'nice' kpop fans about 1d or harry...like they don't know y'all or y'all faves like that for this type of weird disrespect. 'He dresses weird'..................are y'all projecting, like he dresses weird but kpop idols don't?
"It's feminine but not in a way I can sensualize it so I'm gonna make fun of him yet lift up my fave cause they dress seductive"
Tumblr media
Maybe learn from the 1d fandom in its old age instead of being mean to them just stay neutral and peaceful you don't know who they might work with in the future..cause everybody can bring up real life stuff but the beef has never been reciprocated by directioners like why y'all still going at it.

People keep saying nobody care about them, they irrelevant...but I see like so many comments about them on kpop spaces almost all negative. The only words should said concerning 1d should be thank you for love shot

and the blueprint of the preppy era of kpop then keep it moving.

I'm just saying like all 1d stuff out in the open, why pick fights with people who are known to dig and investigate til they find something. Luckily most directioners just don't do that anymore. All they care about is the boys that's it..why can't kpop fans do that they always wanna be in the mix..like no y'all don't.. luckily other fandoms haven't been checking you..many have mostly left y'all alone cause they see kpop as innocent but stop picking with people it'll only be your fave to get hurt in the end. Cause rocks are thrown but y'all have hidden hands and identities, why use somebody else's name and face as a profile pic to say you don't like somebody I'm sick of it tbh.

For the writer asks!
17. What do you do when writing becomes difficult? Usually I just move on to writing another project, because I have so many that are going at once. If I don’t have any motivation at all, I either stare at my computer screen until something hits me, or I force myself to write even little bitty sentences because something is better than nothing
19. What is the most-used tag on your ao3? I wasn’t sure if there was an official way to find this, but I did some math and it seems to be variations of Hurt/Comfort—it’s in 35 out of my 91 fics, so almost 40% of my fics are tagged h/c
39. Share a snippet from a WIP: this is from JRWI WIP :)
“You’re not a big fan of these either, huh?” Chip spun around, clenching his hands into fists and bringing them up to protect his face. Instead of the visage of a magical sorcerer or some undead being, Chip found himself looking down at a burly Dwarven man. The first thing Chip noticed was that the Dwarf was bald, and the urge to slap the man’s head gripped him for only a moment; the man had muscles that suggested he could break Chip in half like a toothpick. The Dwarf wore a rusty-colored tuxedo and iron-tipped boots, and he tugged uncomfortably at his collar with one hand. Chip wasn’t the only one who felt out of place in formal situations, it seemed. “You can put your fists down, kid.”     Chip lowered his fists immediately, embarrassed. “What makes you think I’m not a fan?” He challenged defensively. The man laughed.
“It’s practically written on your face.” He said. “You’re not as slick as you think you are.”     “I don’t think I’m slick!” Chip protested indignantly, beginning to feel as if he was being chastised by some sort of teacher.
“Uh-huh.” The Dwarf said skeptically. “I’m Mountain, by the way.”     “I’m Chip!” Chip said, then internally cursed. What was the point of his dapper alter-ego, Felix Lionsgold, if he never used the name? Or the accent? He’d forgotten the accent too. He would’ve facepalmed, but didn’t want to seem stupid in front of Mountain. “Uh, what brings you here?”     “Invitation, like everyone else.” Mountain said, his tone suggesting he didn’t think Chip had gotten an invitation through legal means. Chip was offended. Sure, he hadn’t technically been invited, but the insinuation that he would resort to stealing was just plain rude—the fact that he had been thinking about stealing the jewelry from a wealthy-looking woman just five minutes ago was irrelevant. “You got any friends?”
“Uh, yeah, Jay and Gillion.” Chip said. This was a very strange conversation. “I don’t know where either of them went, but they’re around here.”
“I wish they didn’t make us leave our weapons.” Mountain grumbled. Chip’s eyes lit up as he realized he now had an actual topic to talk about with his new acquaintance. He held up his cane and pointed to it, then leaned in to whisper.
“There’s a sword in my cane.” He said, grinning. “It’s a fake cane.”     “Wait, really?” Mountain said incredulously. “That’s awesome! Maybe I should start a fight just so I can see you use it.”
    “Well, maybe don’t… do that.”
“Eh, not right now, at least.” Mountain crossed his arms and looked out over the crowd of fancily-dressed people. “Well, if nothing else happens, at least I found one person who doesn’t fit in here.”     “Hey, I fit in just fine!” Chip exclaimed. Mountain glanced at him.
    “Sure you do, kid.”

It occurs to me that I have this thing so I can dump the various lists and other thoughts relating to whatever hamster has jumped on the wheel in my brain to run its little paws off, so I should probably do that, huh.
This time, the thing that's rattling about is, specifically, the way the various Exotic weapons are implemented in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. I am going to put this behind a Read More, as I did in the past, because it's lengthy and only of interest to a select crowd. The "shorten lengthy posts" thing exists now, but best practices, you know.
Now, before I do this, I will specify that I am not taking the actual itemization into account, this is all purely on the merits of the weapons themselves. There are metagaming factors involved whenever discussing this kind of thing, of course, which is why a Fighter/Mage in Baldur's Gate 2 might want to specialize so they can use katanas and hammers, so they can dual wield Dak'kon's Zerth Blade in one hand for extra spell slots and Crom Faeyr for 25 strength in the other, but that's getting a bit far into the weeds for this kind of thing.
The other question is "why the hell are you bothering with this," and the answer is that in the Midnight Isles DLC, there's a roguelike mode, and each run after the first gives you something called a "tailwind." These are various bonuses. There are thirty, you are presented with three, and you must pick one. One of them is the "Whimsical Tailwind," which causes all Exotic weapons to hit as if they were one size larger (1d8 to 2d6, and so on). This is a tremendous boon in the lower levels, before you're stacking so many bonuses that the weapon itself is largely irrelevant, and I will largely be judging things in that context.
So, first off, let's go with the light weapons.
First off is the Kama. 1d6 slashing, x2 critical. This is only notable because it's a monk weapon, so monks can do their Cool Monk Things with it, and maybe you'll run into something where you need slashing damage, like a zombie. If you aren't a monk, it's crap. And even then, its value is dubious. In tabletop, the kama has the Trip tag, which means "you can use it for Trip attacks, and if you lose the roll and get tripped yourself, you can drop your weapon instead of falling down," but none of the special tags are implemented, which means that a lot of weapons are missing their raison d'être.
Then there's the Nunchaku. 1d6 bludgeoning, x2 critical. Same thing as the Kama, but worse, because you already do bludgeoning. In tabletop, it has the Disarm tag, meaning you get a +2 when attempting a Disarm maneuver, but again, that's not implemented.
Finally, the Sai. 1d4 bludgeoning, x2 critical. The smaller damage die is offset in tabletop compared to the nunchaku because, in addition to the Disarm tag, it also gives a +2 on Sunder Weapon attempts, but since none of that is implemented, you're just left with a worse nunchaku, which is in turn worse than using your fists, unless you get lucky and find really good magic ones, I guess.
So the only light weapons are all monk weapons, and the only reason to use any of them would be "you are a dual-wielding rogue with a dexterity of Yes and just enough strength that your knees don't buckle when you put on your armor," but since the bulk of rogue damage comes from Sneak Attacks anyway, there's only so far this can go. I guess you can be a Knife Master and dual wield sais so you're swinging with a pair of d6 weapons and still getting those d8 sneak attack dice, but that mostly feels like a parlor trick so you can get bludgeoning sneak damage, and I doubt it's worth the feat (or level dip) to get an average of one extra damage.
Now, on to the one handed weapons, and there's more of a selection here.
First off is the bastard sword. 1d10 slashing, 19-20/x2. It's a longsword with a slightly larger damage die, there's not much to say about this one. It's pretty good, but remember: the context of this is the Whimsical Tailwind that makes exotic weapons have bigger dice.
That's why I much prefer the Dwarven Waraxe: 1d10 slashing, x3. On paper, it's basically the same kind of split as longsword versus battleaxe, but in practice, the waraxe wins out for a very simple reason: Dwarven Weapon Familiarity. Dwarves treat the Dwarven Waraxe as a martial weapon, which means that if your dwarf has martial weapon proficiency, they can just use this weapon for free.
The estoc is in a similar sort of position: the bastard sword is a longsword that gets a slightly bigger damage die, the dwarven waraxe is a battleaxe that gets a slightly bigger damage die, and the estoc is a rapier with a slightly bigger damage die. 2d4 piercing, 18-20/x2, and finesseable. There's not really much to say here, it's just "if you need a one handed piercing weapon you can finesse, the estoc has you covered."
However, the Dueling Sword gives the Estoc a serious run for its money. At 1d8 slashing, 19-20/x2 critical, it's basically just a longsword that you can use Weapon Finesse on. This is probably not worth a feat in and of itself compared to anything else, but you can take the Aldori Swordsman background to gain proficiency with it for free (in addition to bucklers and adding Persuasion to your class skills). There are also feats that exist specifically to support use of the Dueling Sword, and an entire prestige class devoted to its use, although if you're going for Aldori Swordlord, you may have taken the Aldori Defender archetype for Fighter anyway.
The Falcata is 1d8 slashing, 19-20/x3 critical. It strikes me as for people who can't decide between the better threat range of a longsword or the bigger critical of the battleaxe, and are willing to spend a feat to get both. There's not much to say about this one, really, but if you're not a dwarf and willing to spend a feat on the exotic weapon proficiency, this seems a good choice.
The Tongi is 1d6 slashing, 19-20/x3 critical. It is a strictly worse falcata, and even in tabletop, there is nothing going for it. Apparently it was a Light weapon in Kingmaker, thus giving it a place, but it's just garbage here.
Next up I'm going to do the double weapons. Double weapons are interesting in Wrath because of the way they're implemented compared to tabletop. They maintain the original benefit of "slightly better damage die compared to two light weapons," such as a double sword's 1d8 to the short sword's 1d6, but they lose the benefit of "if you're only making a single attack, you can count as using both hands so you get 1.5x your strength bonus." (Or at least, I think this is the case, as I haven't tested it. I probably should.) However, they gain a new benefit, which is that you don't have to pay to have each end of it enchanted. So if you're buying weapons, instead of buying a pair of +5 weapons which can be pretty expensive, you just need the one.
Anyway, the weapons. Double sword, paired 1d8 slashing, 19-20/x2. It's the equivalent of holding a pair of longswords (or, if you've got a Whimsical Tailwind, a pair of greatswords). There's really nothing special to say.
However, for much the same reason the Dwarven Waraxe beat the Bastard Sword, so does the Orc Double Axe beat the Double Bladed Sword. 1d8 slashing, x3 critical, but half-orcs treat it as a martial weapon, so they can use it for basically free.
The Dwarven Urgrosh is in a similar sort of position as the Orc Double Axe, as it's an exotic weapon that dwarves can use as a martial. Same 1d8 damage with x3 critical, but the big difference is that the main head of the urgrosh deals piercing damage instead of slashing. There are situations where this matters, but not enough to tilt you towards dwarf or orc for this. The strange thing is that the urgrosh loses the Brace tag from tabletop, but seems to get the die size of the spear end increased to compensate, which is the only weapon to get compensation for not being as capable as its tabletop counterpart.
The Gnome Hooked Hammer is another one that can be used for free by the right race, but in this case the race is Gnome, which means you are Small, which means you move slower and your weapon damage die is smaller. But with Whimsical it comes right back up, so it's a net wash. The main head deals 1d8 blunt damage with a x3 critical, and the off head deals 1d6 piercing with x4. So I guess if you're making a gnome ranger or slayer or something it can be pretty good. Loss of the Trip tag doesn't hurt it too much, as it's a perfectly competent weapon even without that.
And finally, the two handed weapons. This is a much shorter list, since there's just the two.
There isn't much to say about the fauchard. 1d10 slashing, 18-20/x2, reach weapon. Normally I'd shrug about if the one extra threat range over a bardiche was worth the feat, unless you were a Fighter and thus had feats coming out of your ears, but for a Whimsical Tailwind, it is absolutely worth the feat for the slightly expanded threat and better damage dice. This is another in the "lost the Trip tag" club, but it's another one that fares just fine without it.
The elven curve blade is weird. 1d10 slashing damage, 18-20/x2 critical. So you'd think that it's another longsword/bastard sword situation where you have to either spend a feat or be an elf to use a slightly better falchion (2d4 slashing, 18-20/x2), right? Well, mostly, yes, but the thing about the elven curve blade that always struck me as odd is that you can use it with weapon finesse. Which is fine, I guess, but it's a two handed weapon, and two handed weapons get 1.5x their strength modifier when used two handed, and if you have enough dexterity that taking weapon finesse seems like a good idea, odds are pretty good you didn't go hard enough on Strength to make it super worthwhile. I guess if you have a feature that lets you use Dexterity instead of Strength to calculate your damage bonus, it might get a 1.5x multiplier too, but I don't have a character handy I can use to test this.
Now, there is a ranged exotic weapon, but it's not terribly worth getting into. The Sling Staff is 1d8 bludgeoning, x3 critical. It's not worth it even with the Whimsical tailwind, because "is it worth it to spend a feat to go from Piercing to Bludgeoning" is a "hell no." If it's worth it to go from 1d8 piercing to 2d6 bludgeoning should be a "hell yes," but the problem is that ranged weapons are potent in Wrath not just because of the "you don't have to move to take your full attack" thing, but because of the things that make bows stronger. You're stronger initially thanks to the bigger damage dice, that's true, but you lose out on Manyshot, Bracers of Archery, and Hurricane Bow if you have some way to apply it or have it applied for you. The better damage dice are a nice early boost, but you can live without it, and you will absolutely be feeling the lack of all those other things later, when the bulk of your damage is coming from various bonuses more than the actual dice of the weapon. This is another one that didn't come out of the translation from tabletop as well, because it's properly the halfling sling staff, meaning halflings should treat it as a martial weapon, but they do not. It also lost the ability to be used as a club in melee, but "can be used in both melee and ranged combat" is a feature that was generally lost and made a lot of other weapons just strictly worse.

Web Design Uk - 5 Essential Elements
Try this suggestion yourself and then try to enlist the help of some of your good. The more people you have to test out your web site, the more thorough your results is actually going to. Many with the Turnkey Adult Web Businesses advertise in LARGE FONT that they feature you 100% of financial gain. Doesn't everybody? They lead it to sound like they are doing you some love. Profit is not revenue is the item? Maybe I miss the boat inside of this but 100% of the net profit could mean 50 cents for all I recognize. Watch these web design companies and educate yourself. You may need to swallow your pride and accept some blame for not thinking these crazy promises through.
Tumblr media
When generating a good web site, your goal is must have easy for that user to achieve the information need. Use many descriptive titles each page; subtitles are along with a good clue. Provide an easy way for users to move between home page together with other pages, promote it easy to return towards the home page no matter how far a user has spread. Connecting all the different pages on the spot creates an effect of unity and receive. In general, you should try to keep your page under 100K. Anything higher are going to make it difficult for some users to navigate the page with enjoyment. If you offer any downloads while having web site, make sure you label them when higher than 100k. Eigene Homepage erstellen lassen should consider simple colour schemes, and should consider staying out of black and white. Green, yellow, perhaps red might be very well as positioned on colour. You should limit your palette to two or three colours. It is very remarkable what a few good colours will perform for your message. You can learn by reading all day long however, if it in order to online website training, set of training videos are perfect. It can make it easier to be which can see use need to be able to doing contrary to reading everything. Sometimes things can seem more complicated than might but if you are can watch genuine need to do, it could possibly make searches for seem a good deal easier. Using proper and high-quality meta tags on much more . is important to proper Web Design and attracting more web site visitors. Quality meta tags will assist search engines index and present your how does someone their people. If you use irrelevant meta tags, instead of tags that describe your website's content appropriately, search will classify your site incorrectly you won't get yourself a lot of traffic. Be clear on the objective of your website. Often websites try in order to become all in order to all people and they don't do whatever well. Instead focus on the few core items and do them really basically. Pick a font promote it black (or dark) on a white (or light) backdrop. Don't get tempted to "do the intense graphics". Just because it's there doesn't mean you have to use it.
