Finally got caught up on that funky Bravern show the other day and omg. It's so much fun. Have some scribblin' More yelling under the cut (and also mild spoiler alert if you haven't seen any of it:)
Loved seeing more of the other Deathdrives, even if they were kinda short-lived on-screen and all (guess that's what happens when a buncha story stuff needs to get compressed into just 12 episodes)
I'm enjoying the hell out of this silly show it's fucking BUCKWILD. I can't remember the last show that made me laugh this much I am just constantly chimpanzee screaming at the screen Wasn't super sure at first because I was a bit "???" about where this was going in the first few eps but oh my god. It's def become a fav now. It's for sure meant to be a parody of itself/commentary on the entire mecha anime genre and all the tropes that it's loaded with but then the story actually gets interesting too. The TWISTS. IDK it just seems like they had so much fun making this Also, sentient robot characters yippee! (That stuff just seems to be super rare, I've always kinda wondered why, but it's like the mecha genre is allergic to the concept unless you go full into Transformers territory (which is its own whole thing at that point.) Like idk maybe I'm the weird one for loving that idea, but I do wish more of that existed outside of the context of parody or "for little kids" or whatever. Anyway I'll take whatever I can get on that front. I'm adopting all of these idiots) Cupiridas is my fav, Extremely Silly Guy. Kunus (Cunus?) is completely off her shits but I actually love that super wingy design. Pessimism has some really cool silhouette nonsense going on, can def approve of straying from the usual humanoid look. I could throw in some sketches of the main mechs (Bravern, Superbia) but they already get most of the fan art, so I wanted to doodle some of the others..

The Black Marauder IIC
Tumblr media
Turnaround:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
WIPs:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The "Black Marauder" is a horror story of a cursed mech. Over the years urban legend has built it up into some kind of extradimensional beast, a living machine that moves of its own volition, consumes the souls of its victims and strikes fear in all that come close to it. It emerges from mist and shadows to kill efficiently and mercilessly before disappearing once more.
So I know the story says it looks like an inner sphere MAD-3R, but the way it's described as looking "Off-proportioned" and "Too smooth, almost organic-looking" makes me think it's a IIC. That and it having "Teeth", which the IIC's array of chin-lasers could be mistaken for. It also has a tendency to oneshot mechs with PPCs to the cockpit, which only Clan PPCs have the damage to do reliably. It performs unusually well in smoke/fog (advanced clan sensors perhaps?). Maybe the pirates didn't recognize what they were looking at given they lived on the opposite side of IS space from the Clan invasion front. It's also black with bits of red, the paint scheme of a certain Wolf's Dragoons "mercenary company" (read: Clan spies roaming IS space) which would explain the lack of factory markings/serial numbers. The stories mention weird behavior and unidentifiable mechanical issues so it could've been left behind since it was a liability, stripped of insignia and left on a forsaken airless asteroid in some random uninhabited system to conceal the trail. That's just my pet theory, anyway.
Pictured: Teefies (and bloody claws)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one was difficult for a different reason, not painting this time but being my first time working with greenstuff and sculpting/modifying a miniature.
The paint job itself was fairly quick because of the almost uniform coloration despite the number of steps: -Primed with matte black -basecoated with Night Scales metallic black (It barely shows up, there is a faint glitter in some spots but mostly it looks like a slightly lighter black.) -Heavily drybrushed with Rough Iron, a dark rust color metallic -Lighter drybrush with Gunmetal, grayish/silver metallic. at this point I thought it was too light/shiny so I went over some panels with matte black paint, keeping away from the edges I'd drybrushed. -Mars Red in the eyeholes. White on the lasers/cockpit later covered with Red/Green/Blue speedpaint. -Blood Red speedpaint over the "monstrous" bits. It disappeared into the black, until: -Gloss varnish over the speedpaint brought the red back out again. I wanted everything to be black but still have the monster bits to stand out texturally, the gloss makes them glisten nicely. -Anti-shine matte varnish on the rest. That still looks pretty shiny to me but what can you do (Vantablack miniature paint, anyone??) -The label says MAD-BLK in the Standard Galactic Alphabet. At some point I knew how to read/write it after it featured in Minecraft enchantments, though by now I lost that and had to look it up.
The sculpting was interesting. -Green stuff is tacky and sticks to my fingers when fresh, hard to apply to the model in a careful manner, but is pretty easily workable on the model, once it's on. At some points I used metal sculpting tools almost like chopsticks to avoid touching it with my hands. I twisted a pointed tool like a little drill bit to get the eyeholes in. -Getting closer to the 1hr mark it stiffens up and becomes the opposite. Easier to apply and get off my fingers but harder to work into the shapes I want and fit in the crevices for a good hold. -The claws are superglued given they're sticking out a fair bit. Roughed up the plastic surface before applying glue for a better bond. The other greenstuff I trusted to stay on since they were molded into the surfaces pretty closely. -The blood was red ink Speedpaint mixed with good old AK water medium.
I'll have to do more modding in future, truly customize my mechs.
Last Lance of Cardinal Sins featured a Zeus, only too late did I have the idea of modding a ZEU-X with the wing-like cooling vanes. Fortunately I have a King Crab waiting for me (my favorite mech!) to make a prototype KGC-010 with. It has flush-mounted dual PPCs with spiky cooling vanes sticking out the back. Should be fun.

Blatant advertising, goooooooooo!
HEY! STOP! Whoa. Sorry, I don't mean to intrude, but I can't help but notice that you don't have enough Battletech minis.
Let's fix that! I'm Derek and I'm working in collaberation with Discount Dan to fill your house with miniatures for chump change! I will print minis for you! Rent my resin 3d printer!
Tumblr media
Want a single normal-sized mini? 4 euros plus shipping. Not a bad price, but it really starts to shine when you buy a bunch at once because I'll only charge ya 1 euro for each mini beyond the first in each lot. You can get a whole-ass company for 15 bucks! Your choice of primed or unprimed. Hell, I'll even give the lot a zenithal highlighting if you want. Base included!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Give me .stls, I give you minis. Don't have .stls? Just tell me what mechs you want and in Blake's name, I'll make it happen. Probably. Blake was kind of a dick anyway.
Tumblr media
That's just primed minis though, and you want some paint, yeah? Nice, clean paintjob of your choosing is 14€ on the first, and only 4€ each for rest. A table-ready company printed, painted, based, and sent to your door for 58€ plus shipping. I defy you to find a cheaper price. Want 'em grungy and weathered or clean off the factory floor? Simple bases or more elaborate? I love doing weird environment bases! We can do it all! Want some of my blood in the paint? I would, but I'm pretty sure that's not getting through customs...
Tumblr media
Okay, okay... I see you're a discerning customer. The basic packages aren't enough for you. You want the stuff under the counter. You want the custom machines. No worries, I've got you covered. Our techs can handle everything from adding a simple autocannon or missile pack all the way up to mashing two mechs together into an unholy mess. Twist my arm and I'll give you a record sheet to go along with it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We'll negotiate prices in private.
Don't like stompy robots? That's cool. Into 40K kitbashes?
Tumblr media
Or maybe you wanna make a character or two in HeroForge and pass the .stls to me; guarantee I'll do the printing and painting cheaper than they will even with shipping. Scatter terrain? Just a big pile of mini bases? Decorative add-ons? Tell me what you want and I will make it happen.
Tumblr media
Jump on this quick too, because these chump prices won't last. Message me on this hellsite or discord (theDereckoning) or email at [email protected] and let's make the printer go brrrrrrr for youuuuuuu!

It's been a wild few months here at theInstaGrahame HQ, but what never fails to make me happy is the rad games I get from the mail. I'm getting over a cold, so I'mma work on this instead of anything productive I could be doing!
Here's my month of RPG mail calls, and why I'm hyped!
Coriolis: The Last Cyclade: I've been curious about Coriolis' Middle Eastern-themed sci-fi vibes for a while, so I put this on a Secret Santa wishlist; and this is what I got! Excited to dive in.
Curios: Albrecht Manor and Jasper Park: Good Luck Press is one of those game design teams I'll try anything from, and the pitch for this is really unique. It's not an RPG per se, as much as a collection of books, papers, maps, and other materials that point toward a mystery you get to figure out. Playing it is just... looking through stuff.
Salvage Union: I am a big fan of post-apocalyptic media, and a fan of the mecha genre. So, yeah, this was an easy sell. It's built on the Quest system, which I've been meaning to get more into anyway, and it looks like a mech repair manual!
The Zone (which I apparently thought people would just recognize): This game is available for free online, but the box set is gorgeous, and features some designers I love. Trying to set up an online session soon, but I do really want to play it in person.
Deimos Academy: Honestly, I picked it up because of the creative team, but also the pitch is great. I skipped my high school reunion, but if there was a chance to go back and face a monster? I might've thought about going.
Brindlewood Bay + Nephews in Peril: I was originally just going to get the super popular Elderly Detectives Solve Eldritch Crimes RPG, but the title of the expansion/mystery book was just too perfect.
Rebels f the Outlaw Wastes: I've already mentioned I like post-apocalyptica? Well, this took a neat approach to achievements/leveling that I was super intrigued by, and I just dig the fun vibe. The reason I like post-apocalyptic media is that it's hopeful, and this feels moreso than a lot of other stuff.
Skyrealms Almanac and Creatures and Folks: I've been into setting guides this past year. And like, this one is also a coloring book? Hell yeah.
Stoneburner: I've been following the creator on Twitter and elsewhere for a while, so I was curious about this title. But definitely sold when they talked about some of the inspiration being the original Starcraft games.
Forgery: Again, picked it up because I really like Banana Chan's work, but this is a paint-by-numbers solo RPG about forging a demonic painting. So like, yeah. That's rad.
Vast Grimm: Space Cruisers: Vast Grimm is Mork Borg in Space, but I'm also a big fan of ship catalogs, so I really wanted to check this one out.
.Dungeon: Everything Snow makes is beautiful, queer, and nostalgic, so when they mentioned a re-release of .Dungeon was coming, I really wanted to check it out. I have a lot of nostalgia for the
Cloud Empress (everything, including a patch!): I mean, you say Nausicaa and I'm listening. This has some roots in that world, but also does some really interesting things with the Mothership game engine. I'm especially intrigued by the notion of replacing racial traits with age traits, and having a series of pretty mundane jobs as the classes.
Layers of Unreality: The first of this month's Zine Club deliveries! I keep hearing about Liminal Horror, and this particular module I've heard nothing but incredible things about. So I'm really hyped to check out what happens in these backrooms.
Fear the Taste of Blood: My second Zine Club book this month! Kayla Dice is one of those really rad creators who I think deserves more attention than she gets, so I'm really hyped to dive into this take on classic movie monsters.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also got this from my partner's family's Secret Santa.
Okami is one of those games that sticks with me, and has ever since I first saw images from it, and played it. It's a genuinely beautiful experience, and while it's maybe not a game everyone will like, it's one that I really enjoy, and the art is a big part of that.
It stands out as an example of what you can do with a video game that's nearly impossible with most other art forms, and also a reason that I don't think the Arms Race for More Photorealistic Graphics in video game consoles is worth the effort.

just wanted to ask because i thought the answer might be interesting— what’s been the hardest part of working on the death of byron von raum (and/or any other projects!) so far? and conversely, what’s been your favorite part?
thanks!! hope you’re having a good day :-)
TW: Mental health
I'm gonna try and give you an in-depth answer because I'm super aware that it's been a long time since I provided any real updates on Byron. Your question's very apt because there are things about the project that I absolutely love, and others that I'm really struggling with.
To start with the good stuff - my favourite part by far is the music. I really believe in these songs and the ones I've written so far are killers. There's one about Byron's childhood sung by his parent. It's got an ostinato on violin (and maybe Uillean pipes? budget depending) that runs through it and evenually builds into a sweeping instrumental section with a chord progression I'm a little bit in love with. And the standout song is the one that probably would have been Marius' signature song with the Mechs if we'd gone in that direction back in the day.
But on the other hand, it is very, very difficult for me to work on Byron right now. For a while now I've been searching for the right way to explain that even though I believe in the project, it's not coming anytime soon because of that.
The thing is, the story is bleak. Way, way beyond Mechanisms-bleak. Like, I don't know how it will be recieved by other people beyond the friends I've shared it with, but it's bleak enough that I actually find it really distressing. Somehow I've written a story that pushes almost every one of my triggers and speaks to everything that personally frightens me.
But it's absolutely Marius' story. I can't change it and try to keep it light - everything that can go wrong for these characters has to, must go wrong. I care about them and they start with so little and they lose everything and they're awful to each other in between.
I still work on it, but I have to handle it and myself with care, so there's no timeline or work schedule I'm keeping on it right now. When I have a good idea, I sit and write for an hour if I can. But (and I've mentioned this on my Tumblr in the past without naming the project) every time I do that, I have a panic attack, and I'm on edge for the next 24 hours after. Always. I want this story to exist, but at the moment I don't want to put myself through the experience of making it. It's just me and I have nobody else to back me up. The Mechanisms covered some upsetting stuff sometimes, but we had friendship and support and camaraderie. To make this story happen, it'd probably need to be the main thing I do for about a year. And I don't think I can do that as long as the plot and themes are affecting me like this.
I think I'd also need the plot and characters to have more nuance than I'm likely able to convey in a Mechanisms-adjacent song-narration-song album format. I think I've mentioned in the past that I don't think it's a particularly effective way to convey complex themes, but some elements of the plot demand a deep look at the characters, because they do some truly horrible things and we need to see what brings good people to that point. So if I reach an emotional place where I can work full-time on Byron, I'll probably explore other ways to tell the story. One possibility is doing it as a mini-series with a song in every episode, so I can explore the characters through dialogue. An episodic release might give me a way to work through it at my own pace while looking after myself, I don't know.
I also have to be honest, when I started work properly in January 2020, the world felt like a very different place. With everything that's going on in the world right now, things I couldn't have imagined back then, I don't know the extent to which this story qualifies as entertainment anymore. Would I feel comfortable putting out this story full of war and horror and misery and saying it's a fun thing for people to enjoy?
To tell the truth, I don't think I want to make upsetting things at the moment. I just did Rat-tailed Rover and had a blast. I need to have some surgeries done on my abdomen before I'll be ready to go again, and there's no timer on that, but Carnaval des Gobelins is fully written and ready to record once I'm recovered. And I have so many ideas after that, that I really think I could go as long as people care to listen. I'm having so much fun and getting so much artistic satisfaction writing songs about rat paladins and gay goblins and I'm not giving myself panic attacks doing it. I'm aware that's probably not what some people were hoping to hear re: an update on Byron, but right now I feel like I'd rather make you wonderful people smile, laugh and feel represented than present you with a really bleak story where I make a character you care about suffer over and over again.
Anyone who's been following me here or on Twitter will know that I love Byron, I adore Marius, and I value my time and friendships shared with the Mechanisms beyond anything I've ever done. That's part of who I am. The goodwill of my listeners and the Mechs fandom means the world to me. So this is not me saying that The Death of Byron von Raum isn't coming. But I haven't figured out yet how to deliver it in a way that keeps me mentally and emotionally safe and happy. I don't know when that will be, except that it isn't now. In the meantime, I'm going to throw myself into Carnaval des Gobelins (well, as soon as I've finally had my op - it's been a year and counting) and I'm gonna give you the ten best songs about folklore monsters you've ever heard. And I'll keep it up as long as you're there to listen. Thank you x

I saw your RMA Post but before i ask, first i love your artstyle its so beautiful and each time i see it, it makes my day :] and second what are your thoughts of S2 part 1 and 2? And if you can rewrite it what will it be?
Aha hello!! I didn't think that RMA post would actually catch any eyes but I'm it did!!
First off, thank you so much! It's the best feeling ever knowing my art can make people happy just like that :]]
As for your question, I recently just rewatched a good chunk of S2 Part 2 but some of the details around the later bits are still fuzzy (rewatching em is quite hard for me as the english dubs aren't exactly that easy to find out there unfortunately)
I will say though, rewatching it really opened my eyes to just how much of a downgrade Part2 is compared to S1 and even just S2 Part1 itself, not just in story but in like the voice acting and animation. The voice direction is a bit off, characters sound flat, and the animation just feels... weirder, if that makes sense. It's not the worst thing in the world though, it's just an unfortunate thing I happen to notice. They also changed some of the VAs I think (liek Rema's) which was a strange decision but alright ig... There's also the reusing of so many games instead of new ones but oh well... Despite all my problems with it though, I like the inclusion of the new characters (Manus and all the other Leos Valiants). The Leos are all such silly guys :]] I do wish the DV7s got more screentime and played a bigger role though, the first episode for part2 really fooled me into thinking they would lmaoo
S2 Part1 still holds up, certainly not as good as S1 but still, it's got charm! I love the setting actually, Old City is such a bright and colorful place with like all these abstract and messed up winding pathways, it's so weird and funkyy, I dig it a lot!
Tumblr media
So pretty!! God... just like how funky the cities look with all of them being like giant floating islands, it will always be cool af to me
Ik most of my followers don't care about runningman much but in the off chance some non-rma fan sees this, look at Tree City (pic below), I love it so much
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Although... sometimes it really does feel like Season 2 is where the studio decided to lean more into it being a children's show. It's a lot less "dark" compared to S1 which is a tad disappointing. Like just compare Akong's battle (where the dude literally uses a bunch of the old guys to power up his thingy 😭) compared to CG's big mech fight. Still, I liked it! I like the neat guardians (the lil pullulu spirits who guard the gate, Vivace and Ensemble twins my beloved <3).
ALSO ALSO THE IRON BEAST, I can always appreciate a big robot guy aha
Tumblr media
That's all I really got for the ramble aha, I'd say more stuff about S2 and maybe my views on it will change overtime but as of now, I haven't even really gotten around to properly finishing it yet. I remember watching it waaayyy back but it was all in korean with zero subtitles 😭 luckily, I am in a server with people sharing english versions so I'll probably watch those when I get more free time!
I really just miss talking about this show really and I feel like I've largely outgrown the fandom in old spaces where I used to talk in (like Facebook groups and Amino lmfaoo), so it's absolutely awesome to find RMA fans over here on tumblr!

im open for drawing requests (again)!!!!! I have the strong urge to draw people's ocs, so here we are!!
send in your oc and maybe their backstory or some cool facts about them in my asks and i might consider drawing 'em!!!
could be a sketch, a headshot, fullbody or something else depending on how im feeling! probably will only do headshot sketches, but if i really like the oc, i might actually do a lil more!! (please dont get mad at me if i only do a headshot sketch)
I might make this a thing i do every weekend since I'm usually free then. Even if it isn't the weekend, send in your requests and I'll get around to them eventually :]
I can draw basically anything except mechs or nsfw stuff. I won't draw demons or angels or any of that either, but anything else is a-okay by me!! ^^

Gunpla was totally a perfect storm for me. Picture this. It's late last year. I have been spending most of my hobby money buying MtG booster packs (I know, bad idea, not my point). WotC gets into the whole OGL debacle and I decide I don't want to give them money anymore. This also incidentally frees up some time in the evening for me, and I'm mostly spending it on YouTube. Not great.
Now one piece of advice I'd seen a lot was that you should get a hobby where you make physical stuff, and I wanted to try that. Here's the thing though: I have dyspraxia, which means I have very bad fine motor skills, making many manual hobbies frustrating. I have an unfortunate Warhammer pile of shame that I may or may not get to because while I love the idea of having models, building them has been very frustrating: plastic glue melts them so every time I mess up it makes them look worse, and I didn't even have a hobby knife for a long time, so my models look bad. And that's not even mentioning painting. It takes me three hours to paint a single Space Marine intercessor, badly. I can't seem to thin my paints correctly no matter how I do it, and so I'm never satisfied with how my models look in the end.
Enter Gunpla. A friend introduces me to Gundam Witch, I get obsessed, and look into Gunpla. It's basically big Lego sets of giant robots. They snap together, no glue required. They're already in the right colors, no need to paint anything if you don't want to. The kits are WAY less expensive than Warhammer, at least for the entry ones.
I'm lucky, because my local game store happens to have a random 30 Minute Missions kit lying around. I get a set of three hobby knives for 3€, and I start building as soon as I get home. I have a bit of trouble here and there, I have to hurt my hands pushing some of the pieces to fit, but I end up building the whole thing in a few days and it looks... Good!
And I understand why people say to get a hobby which lets you create physical stuff. I love getting home every day and seeing the kits I built on my shelves. Figurines are cool, but it just hits different when you're the one who built them. I have a little family of 7 mechs now! And unlike figurines, I'm not afraid of handling them. Even if an arm falls off, I know I can just put it back.
Best part is, it's making me more confident about tackling my Warhammer pile of shame too. Maybe I'll even manage to paint tiny toy soldiers I'm actually happy with!

I just had a thought looking at Starfucker Super Trans 2000! A lot of the stuff I’ve seen you work on in AR has been human scale—I assume for practical reasons.
But theoretically, there’s no real reason you shouldn’t be able to create something and then scale it up to be big, right?
My first thought, of course, being that you could theoretically draw a version of Starfucker Super Trans in Figmin XR and then scale it up to actual size! (Though depending on the scale of the game you might need a nice field or parking lot for that XD)
My second thought being that if AR does become more commonplace like you dream, what an educational opportunity! I mean, it’s one thing to say “a blue whale is as long as two school buses put together”, and another to actually take your kid outside and plop down a life-sized model right in front of their eyes!
I think you’re right, AR really does have potential to make a lot of things more accessible. After all, technology tends to become cheaper and more available over time. Maybe someone can’t travel across the country to see a big museum, but they can rent an AR set and plop down a smithsonian dinosaur skeleton in a nearby parking lot!
And going back to the blue whale; giving kids these experiences with animals they might not be able to see otherwise can help give them an appreciation for nature, so they’re more motivated to preserve what’s right around them as they grow up! Say, draw them in with whales, and then show them the kind of fish that live in rivers around them and how beautiful they are too! Make a field trip of it!
AR just holds so much potential as a tool to introduce new experiences, I think. The way you use it especially gives me hope; your work has a feel of wonder to it.
One of my biggest concerns about AR is that it will have a similar effect as the internet, where we rely too much on it, moving too much from the physical world to the digital. You see studies as well that are finding developmental problems coming from not having enough interactions with the physical world. But, the way you mix your work with nature, talk about how while it could be used to replace some toys—making it easier to fulfill the remaining demand sustainably—it also can serve as an introduction for people to find interests they want to pursue more seriously with physical components… I really think we can introduce it to good effect.
I've been sitting on this ask for ages because I wanted to record a video showing a life-sized mech in response to it - but I just wanna say
YES, YES, A MILLION TIMES YES to ALL of this!!!!! 😭💖💖💖
messages like these are what makes my work so worth it, because every word of what you said here is EXACTLY what I'm trying to communicate with everything I do.
early on, the founder of Figmin XR (Javier Davalos) understood that people can't just be told that this technology will change the world for the better - they have to realize it for themselves. so he applied for the first Magic Leap grant, won it, and then got to work creating a software to help people do just that.
everything you've mentioned above is either already in development or already starting to be implemented in schools, museums, workshops - even summer camps!! and I know this because I've been working directly with the people organizing these things, helping to teach them how to use Figmin to teach others. :)
the future will be more digital than it already is today, yes, but that doesn't automatically make it a dystopia. I've said it before and I'll say it again - technology is just a tool, and there are many, many people creating new ways to use it for good.

D.VA X Genji OneShot
Not Jealous
Part•2 (Part•1)
Artist:SakuraTAKO47 on Twitter
Tumblr media
Hana hopped backwards, Genji's fist narrowly missing her jaw. She imagined that because he seemed to know how bad she was, that maybe he would go easier on her, and teach her certain things. But nope. This was full on combat training, like the stuff she'd do with Brigette in her Mech.
She only had a second to breathe, as Angela came in to attack from behind. The brunette blocked her kick with her forearm, sliding backwards on her knees from the impact. Hana managed to stumble to her feet as Genji took the blond's attention away from her. Angela dodged Genji's next attacks and put some distance between the two of them, leaving her and Hana together. Everything seemed to go in slow motion as Hana watched as Angela turned around to face her, her hand up and ready to fight. But Hana's body reacted first; it was like an out of body experience as she watched as her hand, closed in a fist, flew towards Angela's jaw, connecting with a solid thud.
The blonde fell to the floor, raising her hands to her jaw instinctively. Hana watched as tears welled up in her eyes. She watched as Genji stood there for a moment, figuring what happened. She watched as he rushed over to her, fussing her like she was an infant. She felt the blood boil and rush to her face as he held Angela's face, ensuring she was alright.
Deciding she couldn't bear to look for another second, Hana left the training room and made her way to the lockers. She grabbed her bottle from her locker as she heard Genji enter the room. He opened his locker and pulled out his phone, using one hand to take off his mask. Placing it on the bench in the center of the room, he sat down beside it.
"She alright?" Hana asked, a little more cold than she intended.
"Yeah, she'll, uh, be fine." The pair were quiet for a moment as the brunette took her hair down from its ponytail and began to brush through it with her fingers. "You hit her pretty hard, you know," Genji spoke up, turning halfway to face her. She shrugged, putting her bottle back in the locker.
"She could have blocked it."
"Are you alright?" Genji asked, a slight tone of worry lacing his voice. He stood up from the bench and slowly walked over to her.
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"You seem... upset."
"I'm not upset," Hana replied harshly. There was silence again, and there was a thick tension in the air surrounding the two of them.
"You're not... jealous...are you?" Genji questioned, raising his eyebrow as he waited for her response.
"What is there to be jealous of?" She answered, feeling the blood rush to her cheeks again. She waited for him to talk again, but he stayed silent. "I know you said that you don't like Angela but sometimes it just feels like you pay more attention to her than me and, well, it hurts."
Their gaze connected as Hana waited for him to talk again, hoping that she hadn't said too much. Genji reached one hand up to her face, holding her cheek whilst caressing her lips with his thumb.
"I'm sorry, that you felt like that," he says softly. He uses his other hand to take off his mask, his eyes glazed with sympathy. He meant it.
"I'll apologise to Angela later," Hana says, places her hands on his chest and he continues to hold her. His other arm snakes around her waist and pulls her close enough so that their noses were just touching.
"Good. And I promise I don't like her. In fact..." Genji pauses for a moment before connecting his lips with hers. She wraps her arms around his neck as they continue to kiss softly, breaking away for air. "I like you, I always have."
Hana blushes and buries her face in his neck, earning a small chuckle from the cyborg.
"Can we go to the arcade later?"
"Sure, but don't get upset when I beat you."

Jazzwave anon, I know I want to know how you I interpret the relationship sorry for being too vague lol
OH! Lol that's makes more sense adfjghkwl
See, what I love about shipping is that you can take a crumb and mold characters into however you see fit. There are soooo many continuities across Transformers, each with their own interpretation of characters. Sometimes I get specific, but sometimes I operate in continuity soup...
Tumblr media
With that in mind, I generally like to see them as master spies. To me, they are experts in their field, which makes every interaction-- both with each other and with other characters-- dubious. You end up having to ask yourself: how much of Jazz's smile is genuine? What is Soundwave omitting from his recollection of an event? That sort of thing.
Tumblr media
So as a fan of the pairing I get to play with those interactions depending on my mood... are they lying to each other all the time and I have to read what's between the lines to understand their true intentions? Or could the other mech be one of the very few people that sees through the facade, a mech who offers security and honesty? Perhaps it's a mixture of both...
I imagine the inability to trust is pretty inherent to their nature, deep down. They have to be skeptical of everything, their job never really ends, so to entertain a story where they grow to rely on one another is just *muah* 👌 Plus there's the added layer of interfactional angst! Like aaaaaa there goes the one other person who could possibly understand what it's like to be in your position, only they're on the other side of the war.
I generally see Soundwave as pretty reserved with a bit of dry snark here and there, while Jazz is definitely more outgoing and talkative but even less predictable. On the surface Soundwave is measured, Jazz is paradoxical, yet both are ten steps ahead of everyone else (and always keep some contingencies in their subspace.)
You can create stories where these seemingly polar opposites actually find some understanding and get along rather well. But you could also go full angst and make it so they feel they are unable to trust others and properly exist in peacetimes, so they end up being in each other's lives out of convenience-- because at least then they won't be alone. You can make it so they briefly crossed paths pre-war! Or maybe you'd like to see them try to one-up each other like rivals.
Something else I can appreciate due to their lines of work-- the fact that over time they're able to see all sorts of sides to their leaders, making them more disillusioned than some of the other hardcore fanatics/loyal soldiers. Like they still care about their respective causes, but they don't view Megatron or Optimus as perfect. Meaning they're more than happy to bend a few rules to do whatever they personally want to do-- stuff whatever the leader says.
I'll sum up cuz this is getting super long (sorry!) but literally the characterizations are wildly different, so you can create all kinds of arrangements. In my mind there's a basic structure, but beyond that anyone could take it from there lol!
Also! We can't forget... music. Personally I like to imagine they have very different tastes but are able to find appreciation in many musical expressions. Jazz definitely plays an instrument or five, and I am kind of torn on whether Soundwave might. He definitely would have the discipline for it, but perhaps his playing style is stilted? Or maybe he's excellent, and shockingly good at improvising to mix things up! Or maybe actually he doesn't like music much at all. And honestly however you interpret music in their relationship is likely to be a metaphor for the relationship itself...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
TLDR: I love seeing them flirt like in those classic spy movies where the main concern was to have some thrill while solving an investigation/finishing a mission, and to look cool and get some while doing it. 😂

Alright its elemental roulette AU time again, whether you like it or not! (for those of you who are curious, you can check out all my other posts about it here: 1, 2, 3)
Jay being Samurai X in this AU is pretty self-explanatory, so i probably dont need to talk about it in too much depth. But I will anyway!
In this version of events, Jay managed to perfect his mechanical wings, and then expanded it into a big ol flying suit of armor. So, think Samurai X mech, but crossbreed it with like, the Sonic Raider Jet or something. But also theres a distinctly comic-book-superhero flair to it all because of course there is, this is Jay we're talking about.
Same as canon, Samurai X starts making appearances, he begins upstaging the ninja, and its established that the current ninja team is full of angsty perfectionists, so OBVIOUSLY they all hate his guts. Jay is a little gremlin, though, and their frustration only encourages him to upstage them even more.
Eventually they do discover his real identity and meet him, and maybe realize they were being a bit too harsh when they should have been more appreciative of his support. So they invite Jay into the fold of their operations.
Jay may be a comparative rookie, but hes got the motivation. See, his parents were attacked by Fangpyres and got turned into Serpentines, and he figures that if stopping Pythor and co. can get him any closer to finding a cure for them, then he has to try. If nothing else, he can at least get some well-deserved revenge. And once he learns about the Great Devourer situation, he definitely doesnt want that to happen. Basically, hes motivated by the recent rise in Serpentine activity.
(Im also currently toying with the idea that Jay was turned Serpentine as well. I dont wanna elaborate on this point too much since im not certain i'll keep it, but its definitely something to think about.)
Regardless of motivation, Jay is more than happy to join the team. After all, who in their right mind would turn down an invitation to join a kickass team of superpowered crimefighters, as well as the opportunity to be trained by the son of a literal diety??? Sign him up!
....he did not realize what he was signing up for. The comic books did not prepare him for how traumatic saving the world can be. He would like a refund please
Of course, this realization doesnt strike until Zane's death. Jay's first real experience with loss. Sure, their battles have been scary and dangerous, but watching a friend die...watching a friend die to save the world...thats when it hits him that being a hero comes with a price. So he throws in the towel and bails.
That is, until Wu approaches him, saying that the ninja have all gone missing (bc they went to Chen's island without telling anyone). And well, Jay has lost one friend already, and it sucks. But hes not going to sit by and lose everyone else who matters to him, too. So he warily takes up his old Samurai X mantle again and sets out to find his friends.
So yeah Jay and Dareth team up on Chen's island and it is just as chaotic as you might imagine.
Also, i feel the need to point out that Jays stuff isnt all sleek and modern like Nya's. He doesnt have a secret base, he just tinkers away at his parents' scrapyard. He canonically doesnt know the proper name for an exhaust valve. His mechs and weapons do not look like they should operate by any stretch, but somehow they DO.
Nya got to the island by using holograms to disguise her vehicle. But in this AU, Jay gets to the island by building a shoddy jetplane out of spare tractor parts and crashing it into the side of a volcano.
Jay's strange blend of competence and incompetence only makes Morro hate him even more. By all rights, this chaotic grease monkey and living embodiment of the knife-cat meme should NOT be able to defeat him. That rusty mech thats really just a glorified trashcan should not be able to throw Morro through several concrete walls. And yet here we are.
Jay, meanwhile, delights in tormenting Morro. Because of course he does.
Now, he and Nya do still have their falling out, but its not due to a love triangle or anything. Its bc Jay bailed out after Zane's death, Nya got upset at him, and in the ensuing fight over it they both said some...pretty hurtful things. And over time they work on repairing their relationship again, but it still takes a long time before theyre ready to be a couple again.
Im currently torn between three possibilities. 1) Chen reveals the truth of his elemental power to him. 2) Jay spontaneously manifests lightning one day and everyone is very confused. 3) One of his Skybound wishes results in the discovery of his elemental power. Im a bit fond of option 3, if only bc that opens the opportunity for Skybound to focus more heavily on the adoption subplot, and would naturally build up to a true potential sequence at the end.
If so, maybe the wish that would have revealed Cliff Gordon's death ends up instead revealing his elemental power to him, forcing him to reconcile his birth parentage in the weirdest way possible. Idk id have to think about it, i havent seen Skybound in a while.
I think Jay does choose to be a ninja instead of a samurai, if only to feel closer to his birth-mother and to carry on her legacy/learn more about her, but still keeps a lot of gadgets and doohickeys on his person. The harness thingie on his Wildbrain gi? It serves as a holster for his various inventions and bizarre, unorthodox weapons.
Jay spends a decent chunk of time thinking he has no elemental powers, so he and Misako strike up an unexpected camaraderie as a result of thinking theyre the only non-elementals on the team. Wu is an elemental master and specializes in training others like him, but Misako isnt, and since spinjitzu is a bit different for those without elemental powers she offers to train Jay.
Jay may not be the strongest or most powerful fighter, but give him a paperclip and some dental floss and he'll find a way to macgyver your downfall. Its only when hes cornered into a hand-to-hand confrontation without any weapons that he tends to falter. Take away his gadgets and he starts to have issues, since he has zero combat training. So yeah he is in dire need of Misako's guidance.
And hey, maybe this is a good opportunity to explore Misako's character as well! Maybe they share a heart to heart, where Jay laments being abandoned and Misako reluctantly shares her motives and turmoil over leaving her son. Maybe she gets some character development. Oh! And maybe Jay sometimes joins her on expeditions.
Once Ray and Maya are saved, Jay and Cole very sheepishly ask them if they knew their mothers. And during the timeskip after season 7 they spend many nights hanging at the blacksmith shop, listening to Ray and Maya recount the good ol days.
And for the record, YES. Cole and Jay are still besties in this AU. Their dynamic is deeply important to me.
I also wanna redo Prime Empire to focus more on Jay's abandonment issues and you cant stop me.
For the purposes of this AU ive decided to replace Wojira with two new deities, one of lightning and one of ice. This means that Jay and Zane are both eligible to get Nyad-ified at the end of Seabound. Which one it happens to remains undetermined atm, altho im admittedly leaning a bit more towards Jay. If only because the mental image of Jay being made of pure lightning, and wanting to kiss Nya goodbye before vanishing into the sky but not being able to touch her without zapping her...yeah that concept is gonna live in my head rent-free for at least an hour
Its not much, but those are the broad strokes of what i have for Jay so far!

LEGO On A Budget 2024 #9: 10792 Drill Spinner Vehicle & 42163 Heavy-Duty Bulldozer
It's - more or less - the end of the road for my LEGO reviewin' duty. I don't doubt that i'll continue enjoying LEGO, as i've gotten a nice ass Animal Crossing set for my birthday and that seems like the ideal thing to collect like once a month, but i'll admit that writing has become stale and therefore i'm not very tearful about being able to move back to what my blog is mainly about.
Still! I wanna go out on a high note, with two sets from the opposite spectrum inside the budget zone. You'll see what I mean with that.
LEGO Marvel 4+ - 10792 Drill Spinner Vehicle
Tumblr media
Yep. In March, a new Marvel set dropped for the young'uns among us. After doing many of the bigger sets, this definitely uh... was a step back, alright. At least the box looks surprisingly nice and bright, I enjoy it's visual presence.
Tumblr media
I do think it at least trumps the other 4+ sets however. I don't think much of the vehicle itself is that crazy, though it's rather chunky which I always find neat. The drill in front is dulled out, which makes perfect sense for the kids though it hardly actually makes it look like... a drill. You also get a net, which I THINK functions fine, though is rather hard to actually stuff in someone's hands. ...Electro, anyone?
Also, good lord, ANOTHER Spidey, this time it's the chibified Miles Morales making an appearance. That's number 4 for the collection and i'm hardly even a Spider-Man fan! LEGO needs to release a Kang the Conqueror set pronto, the real star of Marvel.
LEGO Technic - 42163 Heavy-Duty Bulldozer
Tumblr media
So the very largest set in the €10 category, clocking in at a staggering 195 pieces, comes in one of the smallest boxes of them all. Huh. I suppose there's a reason for it, and that's because it's one of those sets where the amount of pieces is heavily exeggerated cuz of one certain aspect of it being overly convoluted. In this case, it's the moving tracks that take up a whopping 48 pieces out of the 195. Lame advertising, guys.
Tumblr media
Honestly, this did not leave an impression, like at all. It's DECENT, this has some level of 'neat' to it. Like the way you can twist the knob to lift or lower the blade in front, or how the tracks DO work very well once you put them together.
But man I don't care. You coulda chosen anything with personality. Nah. Bulldozer. Which is very similar to the steamroller from LEGO City. It won't ruin the building experience, yet I wish they would be a bit more daring with the cheaper sets, as with their more expensive stuff. Maybe that's why they ARE the way they are.
Current rankings:
Well neither of these are gonna win, that's for sure, and since these are the final ones to be ranked, there's barely any reason to give them an extensive time in the spotlight. Let's go over them quickly.
I'd argue Drill Spinner Vehicle is the 4+ set with the most oomph, the one that most people could still get a small kick out of if they saw it in the store. However I also think the Fire Rescue Motorcycle was pretty COOL for how generic the theming was, including the uncannily long fire hose that came with it. Choices, choices.
The Heavy-Duty Bulldozer is obviously beating out it's smaller cousin, the Construction Steamroller, but otherwise, it's a disappointment. False advertising and lack of personality being the obvious culprits. It's still worth it if you HAVE to have the more complex architecture at a low low price, but otherwise, I don't reccomend it. Which is strange to say. Was looking forward to this one initially.
Creator - 31145 Red Dragon
Friends - 42608 Tiny Accessories Store
City - 60428 Space Construction Mech
City - 60411 Fire Rescue Helicopter
Marvel - 76275 Motorcycle Chase: Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock
Ninjago - 71805 Jay's Mech Battle Pack
Super Mario - 71428 Yoshi's Egg-cellent Forest
Friends - 42606 Mobile Bakery Food Cart
DREAMZzz - 71471 Mateo's Off-Road Car
Friends - 42607 Autumn's Baby Cow Shed
Technic - 42163 Heavy-Duty Bulldozer
City - 60401 Construction Steamroller
Marvel 4+ - 10792 Drill Spinner Vehicle
City 4+ - 60410 Fire Rescue Motorcycle
City - 60400 Go-Karts and Race Drivers
Friends - 42612 Cat Playground Adventure
Minecraft - 21251 Steve's Desert Expedition
City 4+ - 60399 Race Car
Finally! It's all over. 18 regular sets and 8 polybags later, i'm done judging. Only the ultimate question remains; which ones are genuinely worth your time and which ones are off-limits for those who aren't young or are specifically seeking out that theme?
I'd say the absolute winner is Creator, of course. Creator is always worth it as it gives you 3 things to build. If one isn't too your taste or is too small, boom, new thing to build in the place of it. The Red Dragon and co. look awesome though, so that makes it even MORE worthwhile. Crazy value, this one.
I think most City sets are perfectly fine too. Even the low ranked ones are pretty solid purchases if you just want bitch ass basic LEGO, which in some cases IS preferable. The Space sets are fantastic however, i'd highly suggest looking into it. It expands past City too!
All the pop culture/video gamey sets are ooookay, with the exception of the rather garbanzo Minecraft set. That's not to say LEGO Minecraft in general is bad, however I still think it's a rather pointless theme if you don't enjoy having accurate real-life counterparts to the game's mobs, which is to it's benefit.
The LEGO 'brands' stuff, so Ninjago, DREAMZzz and Friends, are mostly pretty solid. You can tell they have a bit more creative freedom cuz it's something they thought of entirely by themselves. I don't know how much you'll jump for joy at the sight of a theme designed for young girls, but there's some real quality works in there. Like damn, that Tiny Accessoires Store was clever. Could do without the piss stain on Cat Playground Adventure set though.
I've given the ranking list some color, as you can see. Green means I would definitely give it a gander, blue means it's up to your gut feeling and orange means *I* didn't really like it.
And with that, I bow out and shall ready myself for some old fashioned gaming on my trusty... well I wouldn't call my Atari carts entirely 'trusty'. Hope y'all had fun and i'll see you again soon!
(Why do I hear boss music?)

Hello! You seem like quite the mech. Graduated from the Elite Guard? I heard they really their recruits through it! You must be made of some tough material.
How rough was it? If you're open to questions from Anonymous Bots, of course.
Of course I am, mech! But if you'd ever like to say hi, I'm open to meeting up~
Believe me, even if it was more of a boot camp when I was in it, it was still brutal. Maybe even more so than before. I mean, they needed to make sure we'd survive the worst of the war, so we had to survive the worst of training, probably.
Obviously, you'd have to wake up early, and you basically had to get training on standard stuff you'd likely experience during the war. You know, bombs, how to deal with blaster fire, basic medical training like-- how to siphon energon to another bot-- blaster training, how to avoid saying a peep during interrogations, you know...
There were all kinds of tracks you could get into, too. For example, if you wanted to do some spy work, that was a pretty attractive track, or if you were interested in commanding, or if you wanted to stay on Cybertron...
Honestly, the "stay on Cybertron and guard key places" track was probably the least appealing to me. I mean, of course I want to see the action, take up the 'cons up close! I'll let you guess what track I chose~
But, I got caught up in some... Arguments with bots, and it ended up affecting our commanding officer at the time. So, I ended up staying on Cybertron, guarding an old mech for a lot of the war, and captured by Decepticons anyway.
And the rest is history!

FLIGHT RISING COMMISSION OFFER !!
ONE SLOT¹
¹ time sensitive offer. Closes in like half an hour or so. Claim first and elaborate second !!!
Status: AVAILABLE²
²probably won't begin right now, but gimme a commission for later!
I will draw ONE (1) dragon or character of your choice (outfits, skincents, and any extra details included).
I WILL DRAW³ ANYTHING⁴ !!!!
³ read: attempt, for complex details.
⁴ exceptions: hateful shit, shit that would get me in legal or moral trouble, obvious fetish content, straight up porn, excessive architecture/vehicles. I will however attempt mechs, accept fandom stuff or other people's characters (with permission from the creator to do this kind of stuff)⁵, do some reasonable nudity, and draw as much gore as you want.
⁵ for fandom art: you get a discount if I know and like the character/fandom.
Details can be hashed out in DMs 😎
Art examples with time/price estimates as reference:
Tumblr media
Hyper-realism. This specific piece took me somewhere between 8 and 12 hours, and would be both the most expensive and the most limiting option. I'd probably charge you around 1,000G/kT or so for something like this and also be super picky about which dragon/character I do.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lines and flat color. These are highly variable. For this first piece, it took me about an hour to an hour and a half to do each character, and then the height chart/layout took another couple hours since I had to do it almost from scratch. For the second, it took me probably 12 hours to complete the whole thing. Depending on the complexity of your dragon and how much of the body you want me to draw, I'll charge you anywhere from 200G/kT to 400G/kT.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lines, color, and cel shading. Also highly variable. The bust took me about 4 or 5 hours to do, the little fullbody is incomplete, but has taken me probably 9 or 10 hours so far, and the Zim portrait (my current PfP) took maybe 6 or 7 hours. Depending on the details, I'll probably charge you somewhere in the realm of 400G/kT to 750G/kT.
Tumblr media
Lineless (more or less). This piece took me I think like 6 or 7 hours. Depending on details, I can crank 'em out faster though. I'll charge you something around 200G/kT to 400G/kT.
Tumblr media
Discord-style emoji. These take me just a couple hours to do. I need a reference image of the emoji you want me to draw your dragon as, and I may need to do some pre-planning, but these are usually fairly quick and easy. 175G/kT would work nicely.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Experimental. Give me a program to use (I use Clip Studio Paint as the default, but I can also use MSpaint for crisp pixelly art and Toon Boom for animations) and/or a style/vibe to embody, or just tell me to go batshit, and I'll do it. These can be worked out individually. MSpaint drawing is incomplete and has taken probably 5 hours so far (though I can do these faster), and other piece took like 7 hours. Animations, depending on length and complexity, can take me anywhere from 4 hours to several weeks. Price is too variable to really put something helpful, but for reference, an MSpaint drawing would probably be about 150G/kT to 250G/kT, something super stylized could be anywhere from 300G/kT to 500G/kT, and an animation would be 1,000G/kT or above.
If you're unsure on what you want, point out a piece you like and I'll give you a price/time estimate based on that and your character, or give me a price/time limit and I'll give you some options.

Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #21
The friends who will help me to build the Dance Dance Revolution pad will not arrive until tomorrow, but that is okay, because I spent my time doing something much more important. And this important thing that I am speaking vaguely on - I would do it again and again and again, without hesitation.
Given my neurobiology and life experiences, often I feel like I don't belong here - in this time, in this place, or on this planet, even. By and large, people like me are not accepted by broader society, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to whatever happens once my "meat mech" runs out of juice. For a variety of reasons, sometimes I am overcome with the desire to leave prematurely; I have a very strong feeling of wanting to go "home" (wherever that is; I have no idea, but I do know that it isn't this particular mossy wet space rock), and my brain is very good at trying to convince me that no one would miss me if I left.
But then I remember that I have superpowers.
I have the capacity to make someone laugh. To make someone feel seen. To be the reason someone smiles. To be the reason why someone out there can feel understood and cared about, even if it's only for a little while. To reach for those who need a little help. To be patient and to wait. All humans have these superpowers, and more. And all humans forget, from time to time, that they have these superpowers. That's okay too. Usually something comes along to remind them. I certainly need a reminder from time to time.
That being said, one superpower that I definitely do not have is the ability to ZOOP off to some far-off place to prepare tea for someone. As one of my friends so aptly put it, according to TV and movies, we were supposed to have some person named Scotty to beam us up and down to places whenever we want by now (this is a joke; it's okay if you don't get the reference. all the same, if your position at the Edge of Creation allows you to check out Star Trek, you totally should - it's good stuff!), but that is definitely not the case, and that is sad. Oh well.
I am small and my voice doesn't count for much in this place. But all the same, the world needs more of whatever good things I (and anyone else) can do, so even though I'm very tired, in pain, and very sad almost all the time, I'll stay here until my body decides on its own that I'm all done here. Why not? After all, the good things that we do end up multiplying in ways that we cannot see, expect, or fully understand.
Besides, the longer I chill out here, the more stories I'll be able to bring back to wherever feels like home once I'm all done, right? And maybe whoever is waiting for me will be proud of everything I've loved, all the weird ideas I unlearned, all the things I've created, all the stuff I tried to fix, and all the people I tried to help along the way.
I wonder if you're aware of all the people you've helped just by existing, whether you intended it or not. You're not the monster that they said you were. You're not the monster that you think you are.
I've got another little song for you today. Maybe you'll like it. I'll include the way I translated it afterwards:
youtube
-------------- Remember that everyone is putting on a brave face and trying to stifle their overflowing tears.
So don't be tempted to use the kind of power that comes from being cruel. No one seems to understand this, but heroes don't need power. Just trust in your authentic self. And, even if your hands seem so small, behold:
All of the love you've ever given and received and all of the curses that have befallen you, too These are what give you the strength to protect everything you hold dear.
On some days, your sorrows might attack you from every direction, and overwhelm you to the point of falling to your knees, barely even able to draw breath. But remember: so many things in this world come in opposing pairs: Joy and tears, despair and strength… Even when you are overflowing with doubt and worry, Remember that love and gratitude shatter all barriers. Look at all of the things that your strong hands have carried up until now, and understand:
All of the love you've ever given and received and all of the curses that have befallen you, too These are what give you the strength to protect everything you hold dear.
Stories tell of a coveted sword But all those who find it discover with disappointment that it is riddled with rust. Not wanting to expend the effort to restore it, they leave it behind as though it is worthless. Little do they know that it still has the power to tear the darkness apart.
All of the love you've ever given and received and all of the curses that have befallen you, too These are what give you the strength to protect everything you hold dear.
So don't be tempted to use the kind of power that comes from being cruel. No one seems to understand this, but heroes don't need power. Just trust in your authentic self So that the shadows, recoiling from your gentle brightness, ask in terror: "What even ARE you?!" --------------
I know that this letter is short, but I think I'll end it here; I'm short on sleep and very tired, and I don't wanna ramble on ya.
Remember that you also have superpowers, okay? And not just the ones that let you bend timelines and allow you incredible feats of physical and magical prowess.
Please remember you are loved. Please stay safe out there as you do your things.
Your friend, Lumine
