when youre captioning and somebody says a number, how do you write it? bc when writing, you do 'one' 'two' etc up to ten and then 11, 12, etc. but what happens when someone says 'fifty-two hundred' out loud? do you write 5,200? then you've lost a tiny bit of information

Have a couple of sketches I'm doing between commissions.

Recently I've been trying to use value and shapes for my sketches to not rely so much on lines only. It's fun to see the lighting take shape right at the start, though it can get messy so fast.

At the left, you have a Jesra with a very high contrast. Lots of dramatic lighting. The other is my beloved Gwen with my attempt to compress my value range. The urge to slap some dark tones there is strong, however it would probably kill the, uh, ambience. There's so many things I want to learn about lighting and 'camera' angles, but I don't feel overwhelmed like I did before.

Also I'm currently on a dragon age kick. More than usual, that is. Maybe I'll be brave enough and share my self indulgent sketches here. Once I actually do them ofc, my hands cannot keep up with my brain.

Anyway, I also want to thank everyone for the amazing support!! I wish I could express how incredibly happy I get from the lovelies responses i receive. It's disgusting honestly. Makes me feel like the luckiest bean alive. Maybe I am, considering the wonderful friends I have wink wink.

Rotund #image 4: laying out some fabrics for a costume just drafting them and seeing what looks okay in the pile and what doesnt etc. #thats my whole process is just 'throw things into a pile on the floor that look okay and match then put them on eventually' lol #image 5: MORE wii scores lol.. I think this is my best score on this one though. There's 10 little markers you have to select so getting 7 #means I selected more than one per second. #image 6: I couldnt decide which type of muffins I wanted so I just made a batch of plain/vanilla batter and then added things to each littl #section to make multiple flavors without having to actually make a full batch or multiple batters lol. I think it's chocolate swirl (with d #rk chocolate chunks). banana cinnamon. strawberry. normal chocolate. rosemary and lemon. peach. ginger peach turmeric. and #'scraps of the other batters all thrown together' lol. So, what I decided to do was re-render and/or update each of my pieces from last year, possibly with a few new pieces in the mix too! This is the first one - it's Signora comforting my self-insert, Alectra, after the in-game cutscene where she appeared to be killed by the Raiden Shogun. She obviously doesn't die in my version of events, because.. well, that would make me sad.

Here is the alternate version! It depicts Signora without her mask or gloves, showing how I headcanon her body to look underneath them. The burn scars on her arms are from her overexerting herself and taking on her Crimson Witch form during the boss fight you have against her in the game, which is what happens shortly before this render, while her missing eye is something I headcanon to be the case due to the fact that her model's face is not symmetrical. If you try and "give her back her missing eye" by putting it into her face texture, it doesn't actually fit on her model properly; therefore, I headcanon that she doesn't actually have an eye under her mask anymore. And she canonically loses her mask after being defeated by the Traveller because they pick it up, so.. that's also why I made this.
