Okay, I'm an idiot!!! (Trollhunters Ending Revelation)

So, someone pointed this out to me recently and I just want to cry!! HERE ME OUT.............the ending to Rise of the Titans is actually better than you think cus there were some details I think were meant to be more obvious than they came across.

FIRST - We're all peeved that going back in time erased everyone's memories and therefore relationships and character development. However, when they go back Tobey is suddenly able to climb the rope in gym class and Claire seems to be paying attention more to Jim than last time. Especially when he is giving his speech at the audition, having a rewatch made me realize as soon as he starts speaking she has a look of recognition, almost like she thinks she's heard this speech somewhere before. Not only that but Barbara and Stickler got along incredibly quickly for 2 people who had only just met. These imply they have some sort of subconscious memory of the last timeline, WHICH considering Nari said time is NOT linear makes sense, cus if it was liner everything would be exactly the same as the first time without these subtle changes. Also, Nari said the ninth configuration is the key, the amulet would only work after they figured this out, if that's the case maybe Nari knew the amulet would to some degree protect them from complete amnesia, they just need to be 'woken up' so to speak. (Also since Merlin and Nari will be alive again they might actually be able to help with this too, especially Nari, she's the demi-god that gave them this advice for goodness sake!!!)

SECOND - The new amulet is 'For the good of all' which does tie directly into going back in time to save EVERYONE.

THIRD - Jim went back in time using the new Akiridion amulet, that means HE STILL HAS IT!!!! The message of the entire movie with Jim is that he now doesn't need the original amulet to be the Trollhunter, he always has been and always will be. Thats why the original amulet chose Toby instead of Jim the second time, it knows Jim doesn't need it anymore and can continue fighting as he is, he will ALWAYS be the Trollhunter with or without it. Jim also knows if he sticks to the original time things will end up the same and his friends that had died will still die, he's urging Toby to be the new Trollhunter to protect him in the coming fights.

There were a couple more points and details but honestly it's 3am and my ADHD brain has forgotten the rest and lost the TikTok I watched 😅

Overall tbh I'm still not happy with the ending, BUT having these pointed out has given me a different less hostile viewpoint on it. I certainly think it's plausible that this was intended but didn't come across very clearly to audiences (myself very much included). Either way, however you wanna interpret it I'm sticking with this as cannon cus if fills me with a lot more hope for the ending than how I originally felt and I don't know about you but I like feeling happy! 🤣

i don’t really know how to summarize it, so just read and find out!! it’ll be a fun little surprise! (also i quoted a line from better than the movies in here, i just finished that book and i LOVED it so dearly)

i couldn’t choose just one song 😣

late afternoon was dull. rain poured outside and the sky was grey, adding to the melancholy of the day. as you sit on the couch next to your best friend alex, you couldn’t help but stare at the rain pattering against the window, trying to distract yourself from your thoughts. you had just recently broken up with your boyfriend, you realized he wasn’t the one and it made you sad. it was easy to let your thoughts spiral, you wondered if you’d ever find your person, if anyone would ever love you that much. could you be loved? you didn’t want to be lonely forever and then become an old lady living alone with her fifty cats in an old apartment. would you die alone? oh my god and then who would even take care of the cats? would anyone even know you died? what if- “ahem.” you jumped slightly, raising your eyebrows at alex who was looking at you with a funny expression, accompanied by a head tilt.

“soo movie or no?” alex chuckled. “you ruined my train of thought.” you smiled as you kicked him playfully. alex had always been your best friend, you had always been there for eachother and this was no different. he’d been hanging out at your house practically the second your boyfriend had moved out and you didn’t mind at all. alex laughed softly, brown eyes not leaving yours. as you gazed at the boy, your smile faded into a frown, your earlier thoughts returning to haunt you. alex noticed this, furrowing his brows. “you alright?” you hadn’t really allowed yourself to overthink too much since your boyfriend left, and now that you had really thought about being alone, it destroyed you. anxiety plagued you, filling you only with distress and thoughts of loneliness.

“i dunno.” you shifted your gaze to your lap, fiddling with your rings. “you wanna talk about it?” alex shuffled closer to you on the couch. you shrugged, eyes still fixated on your lap, averting his gaze. “is it about him?” you noticed how close alex was, causing your heart to race a little faster. “um- no.” you paused. “well, yes, related. i mean, it’s not exactly about him, like the fact that i miss him or anything. which i dont. not really. that seems kinda mean, but it’s true.”

you looked up at alex nervously to find him looking back at you, silently urging you to continue talking. “its just- i’m nervous i’ll never find anyone. sounds fucking stupid now that i’m saying it aloud but um..” you gulped nervously. alex eyes were soft and caring and the effect he had on you right now was concerning. nevertheless, you continued.“i’m scared to be alone forever, i just want to love someone and be loved. and i’m so scared thats not going to happen and i’m scared nobody will ever find me pretty enough to love me. i dont know.” you weren’t even thinking now, the storm of anxiety that occupied your mind now letting loose. “i’m just nervous i guess. i dunno, its silly.” you sighed “maybe i’m just overthinking.”

you kept your gaze on your lap as you finished your rant, too flustered to look at alex. he was close. really close. why was your stomach all swirly? the thunder outside filled the silence for a few moments. alex grabbed your hand, causing you to meet his eyes. “hey. don’t think like that. you’re gorgeous.” the way alex was talking to you, the way he was looking at you, soft brown eyes shimmering in the candlelight, all smiley and sweet. it was getting hard to breathe. you were so distracted by him that you forgot to respond. “thank you.” you muttered pathetically, making him chuckle softly, hand not leaving yours. the house was quiet besides the muffled sound of thunder and rain from the nasty storm outside that was getting more intense by the minute. candles and lamps emitted a soft glow throughout the room, casting faint shadows on the walls.

the way he was looking at you made your heart flutter. your eyes darted down to his lips for a split second before quickly looking back up at his eyes. shit. don’t look at his lips don’t look at his lips. the tension was so thick you were sure lightning was bound to strike between you two any second. the house was too quiet. was he getting closer? you nervously broke eye contact for a split second, your stomach fluttering as you looked back at him. he didn’t move, eyes still locked on yours. your face heated. “um- so what movie did you wanna wat-“you didn’t even finish your sentence before his lips were all over yours, nose pressed into your cheek and hand cupping your face. he kissed you like it was his job and he wanted a raise. you eagerly kissed him back, squeezing his hand tightly as you brought your other hand up to rest on his shoulder. he leaned over you, gently pressing you against the arm of the couch as he kissed the shit out of you. you brought your free hand to grab ahold of his hair, deepening the kiss which elicited a sigh out of him.

the intensity of the kiss increased as a strike of lightning illuminated the sky for a few moments, a loud boom of thunder following, rumbling the ground. you pushed your hand up his shirt, his skin warm. his tongue slid across yours. his hands were in your hair. your leg was wrapped around his waist as the kiss deepened, teeth colliding and soft sighs filling the air. another rumble of thunder shook the ground and just like that, the lights were out. you broke the kiss, the two of you gasping for air. the room was dark, almost pitch black.

and if it weren’t for the soft light of the streetlamps, the glow of the candle in the other room, or the incandescent moonlight, you might’ve not been able to see alex smiling down at you.

Realising he loves you ~ Darry ~

“Thanks for helping out tonight”

He smiles down looking at the concentration on your face cleaning his knuckles from the rumble with the blood stains. He could see your small scratches on your hands and a scratch on your cheek that you had already taken care of, only making you look more tuff. Seeing you clean up his cuts reminded him of when his mother used to clean and bandage his cut knees or arms - including with Pony and Soda.

“Thought you knew better with them rumbles?”

“If i might add you were there too?”

Smiling in defeat as she was part of the rumble last minute seeing her sister being pulled in last minute as she seen Pony-boy getting hit, she wasn’t just going to stand there and watch a joined in. Darry had seen Y/N jump in and it didn’t take him a second to get up and run towards her.

“Mmm, your fists will be just fine just lil cuts”

“You can stay here tonight if you want, instead of having to drag your kid brother and sister home”

That took him a few moments and courage to ask, not like all the other times for some reason, maybe because when he did the house would be chaotic and not quite like this.

“I don’t wanna intrude”

“It’s fine they are with Pony and Soda anyways, it’s good they get along ~ you’ve been there for me and them so i can return it”

“Always Darry, since we were kids ourselves”

Ever since his parents died, Darry always had you by his side - even with you being a year behind that he was about to head off to college when it happened - you planned to stay in Tulsa for community college to see what you really wanted to do. After the events darry seemed to noticed y/n stayed. She always changed the subject quickly if he were to ask about it. Turning to the TV with Micky being left on changing the channel.

“Do you want to watch a movie?”

“Sure, look the hustler is on”

“Shh don’t say it too loud pony will hear”

“I don’t blame him, his movies are good”

Thats what he also liked about you, you interests in other’s interests- even if you didn’t get it or like it you let people talk about it. He loved you cared for his brothers as if they were your own along with your own kid brother and sister.

Getting comfortable on the couch darrys heart skipped a beat as he felt your head rest on his shoulder but he didn’t mind, as he gently laid his on yours. The movie was going on for an hour sun you two exchanging a few words and mumbles until he finally asked the question hoping for an answer, hearing your sleepy voice.

“Y/N?”

“Yea Darry?”

“Why are you staying here?”

“You said i could-“

“No, i mean here as in Tulsa”

“Oh i’m not sure, i’m just waiting making sure they’ll be okay, finishing off community here and seeing where it takes me, why are you still here?”

“Making sure for Pony and Soda will be okay, go to college and travel, i was thinking Europe to France or Italy, maybe both, but i wouldn’t want to go alone”

“That sounds great, I would give anything to go there”

He knew it. There he knew he was always waiting for her. He didn’t know if she was waiting on him too but he was hoping. He wanted to go with her. To travel with her and be with her. Such a kind and caring but so tough and strong spirited.

“So it’s a deal then? You and I?”

“Yes, that sounds good-“

A sleepy Y/N answers smiling. Smiling at her answer - hoping it meant she were to wait for him as well. Butterflies started to fill him as he was about to say something but he didn’t know what.

“Y/N, Y/N?”

Looking down laughing gently see Y/N asleep as light snores escape her mouth, gently getting up laying her down draping a blanket over her. Kissing the top of her head whispering -

“Thank you for everything you’ve done, thank you for being here for me always”

He smiles turning down the TV turning back looking at her, memories flooding back over the like water had been poured over him as memories of you two being younger planning your lives out. Smiling as another wave of emotion came over him but it wasn’t sadness but goosebumps filled his skin with his mouth agape his expression going slightly blank whispering ever so slightly- the only time he had the courage, he hopes to be able to say it when you were awake and for you to say it too, leaving out three words gently kissing your cheek.

“I love you”

My Nikolai theories/ headcanons

I have been waiting for someone to ask me about this :D

(also spoilers for Gogol's "The Overcoat")

1. Born with an Overcoat

In his speech about true freedom he goes on about wanting to „fly like a bird“ and to „not be bound by gravity“. I know he also meant this in a mental/ emotion-bases sense but it got me thinking... is he stupid? His ability is tailor cut for this? By all means, he should be able to fly.

His ability can manipulate space and by extension also gravity (to some extend), thats basic physics. He even uses this to save Sigma when he fell off the sky casino – Nikolai reduced the gravitational force on Sigma by manipulating space.

This got me thinking - Couldn’t he technically fly if he adjusted his portals, so that one is on the ground and the other is in the sky/ under his feet?

Well, why hasn’t he done this? - Because his ability is limited by his Overcoat.

Which is strange, why is his ability affected by something external? Is he lying? Is this a mental thing? Can it be any Overcoat or just his cape? If it’s really a necessary part of his ability, then either it’s not his own and someone else made this restriction for him or his Overcoat is part of him - he was born with an Overcoat . Personally, I think it’s both.

At this point I decided to look up the source material, and by that I mean I read the wikipedia article about „The Overcoat“...

The main character Akaky is described as „being born in undress uniform“ and that basically, since the day he was born, his future was already decided. This obviously plays into bsd’s Nikolai's arc of freedom/ not following a predictaple path. But still it’s a funny simile.

Like I said, my theory is that he was both given the ability and that he was born with it. This seems like an obvious contadiction unless you say Nikolai is, like Sigma, a product of the book.

In conclusion i think that the Overcoat/ his ability is both his freedom and also the very thing he has to ‚overcome‘ in a sense.

2. Nikolai is self aware

This is kinda like a continuation from the first theory. I think it would make so much sense for his character, that he knows he has a set role in the story, especially when you look at his desire for true freedom. Maybe I just like the tragic irony, that no matter what, he can never get to that point.

Anyways, if we assume he’s self aware, his actions and idea of sanity is much more interesting. What would you do if you know your actions and emotions are pre-written? I have no idea, but whatever Nikolai has going on seems like a pretty valid reaction to me.

Also what does the conversation with Fyodor mean then? Is the book a God symbol? Why does Fyodor know? Is he older than the book? Is he affected by it?

2.1 This is a bit silly and I’ve talked about this before. Nikolai teleports his right eye to observe everything like a movie. Where he himself is, again a character. This fits well within the theme of his depersonalisation.

3. His Freedom in the context of „The Overcoat“

The obvious comparison is, of cause, „Nikolais obsession and desire for freedom“ and Akakys’ obsession with the Overcoat that he wants. Further than that i have honestly no idea. Akakys irony is that, after he gets the overcoat, it is taken from him immediately and he dies but I’m not sure how that could translate. What i mean by that is, i don’t want it to because i want Nikolai to get a good ending. Which would probably mean an ending that he chooses for himself. Okay thats basically also not very good… well shit... ._ .

4. The silly headcanons

4.1 Nikolai has no idea what an overcoat is, that’s why he wears a cape and calls it his Overcoat

4.2 Nikolai and Ranpo are brothers, i have no reason for this besides it’s funny and i like them both.

4.3 Nikolai does not know how to use public transport because he always teleports everywhere

4.4 He has a disney princess hair care routine (for obvious reasons)

4.5 He has very normal hobbies

5. The "Is it really silly tho?" headcanon (yes it is)

5.1 „We all came out from Gogol’s Overcoat“ - a quote by someone, idk by who

Nikolai is, or will be the author of the book. Idk how or when, but at one point he makes a decision about abilities or ability useres and it affects everyone. Maybe that could be his moment of freedom, because it would be a paradox if that decision wasn’t truely made by him. And then it’s something like he burns the book so abilities and everyone created from the book is gone. I can see that happen.

If someday they will make last part of scream, like definitely the end who do you want as ghostfaces? I saw different opinion, probably Sam and Sidney being the most popular (in this duo or in one of them + Billy ghost duo). I personally would like to see Stu + Billy ghost as like final Buckle but that’s maybe because I love that kind of plot twist.

Let’s say that we are in different universe where scream don’t have problems with production, no one was fired and everyone are willing to come back to play their roles

I can't really see Sidney going ghostface in the context of the movie franchise as it's played out so far. Sid has successfully moved on, she retaliates unflinchingly when attacked but she doesn't attack first because she doesn't want a life of violence and vengeance. I think bringing her back in and making her a ghostface at this point would be a regression for her character and I would need that to be justified pretty well for it to work for me.

In terms of making Sam a ghostface, I think that would be a bad call in terms of her character arc. Part of what works for Sam (and I think the movies could have done a much better job of this) is that she experiences insane amounts of victim blaming but for the most part the movie sides with her.

Unfortunately we live in a world where the violent actions of victims against their aggressors are heavily scrutinized, and victimhood gets questioned if the victim is angry, imperfect, or if they fight back. Sam FIGHTS BACK though, and she isn't bad for that. I also wouldn't want to see her turned into a villain because I already feel that the representation of her mental health/hallucination situation isn't great. I don't experience psychosis so other people are better positioned to speak on this, but from what I've heard from friends the way the movie deals with this part of her character makes them uncomfy too.

SO thats why I wouldn't want Sam and Sid ghostfaces at this point. I can see them putting on the mask to fight back but I cant see them being the killers themselves.

Now on to who think should be the final ghosties:

Gale

I've been thinking she would make a good ghostface for a while but where we are in terms of her character arc in the series I think she's extra well set up for it. We've always known Gale to be cutthroat and career focused. We've also known Dewey to be someone who anchors and softens her but Dewey has passed so she doesn't have that anchor anymore. Even with the boyfriend she has in scream 6 she barely reacts when he dies; she's struggling to form real attachments. We also know she's struggling with her career. Her main subject is ghostface, that's her claim to fame and her writing doesn't sell as well without it.

So we have a Gale struggling with meaningful social connections, struggling with her career, and her entire adult life has been defined by ghostface. She's been dragged through movie after movie getting chased around and having people killed off around her, and this is where it gets meta (like a good scream movie should).

Because at this point in the franchise what can we be commenting on? We've commented on sequels, requels/reboots, trilogies to a certain extent. And to be honest I think scream 6 totally failed with the meta-commentary part here but that's a rant for another day. So I think what we need to comment on is something like genre fatigue.

We have this final girl (Gale absolutely is, even though we don't always call her that) who's been forced through movie after movie after movie, and what does that do to a character in the context of a franchise? They become flanderized. They become a hollow and superficially characterized version of themselves, occasionally they become someone you can't even recognize as the original version of the character. Of course this doesn't always happen, careful writing and attention to character progression can keep that from happening, but to be honest Gale hasn't had much of that (not none, just not enough imo).

So to bring Gale in, socially isolated, unwilling to keep forming connections because they all fucking die, and desperate for some more recognition and a paycheck, and have her put on the mask and robe to revive the series? That feels like meta-commentary, baby.

Can you even imagine the reveal of that? Especially if Sidney comes back? That would be a legitimately tragic betrayal the likes of which we haven't seen in this franchise in a second. It's always a significant other, a family member, or a friend. But we've never had a former survivor as ghostface, and certainly never the other final girl, so this would be a legitimate plot twist if done well (scream 6 plot twist fell flat on it's face for me ngl).

There's also something good about the way this comments on different reactions to trauma as well. Not everyone is like Sid. Some victims internalize the abuse and repeat the cycle, especially when they've had to re-live it over and over to the point that they're numb to it.

In terms of Gale's partner we could go a few different directions. I could see her hiring a few randoms to ghostface for her, maybe like 4 or 5 so several can die through the course of the movie and still we know it can't be over.

That said, Gale's partner could also be a freshly released Stu. While I don't think they would be super in-sync with each other, I can totally see Gale seeking him out because ultimately she's doing this all for a good story, and what could be a better story than one of the original killers coming back?

I also think that this would provide some good final act drama because Gale would clearly be trying to frame Stu as the only killer to position herself as a victim, and Stu would absolutely double-cross her. Beyond that I would love to see Stu interacting with Billy's daughter, especially because I think he would disobey Gale if she told him to kill Sam.

So yeah lmao wrote another novel but these are my thoughts. Fuck Spyglass pictures though.

Honestly, I'd rather be dead than in New Jersey.😔

"A little while ago, most people went to bed thinking that the craziest thing in the world was a billionaire in a flying metal suit. Then aliens invaded New York and were beaten back by, among others, a giant green monster, a costumed hero from the '40s and a god."

Peter was just saying goodbye. At that moment he promised he would tell them, he promised that he wouldn't let them forget. Peter lied. Sure, this time he may not have had a choice, as he was dragged away in a flash of light. Still, even if he stayed, he would've let them go.

It's better that way. Everyone who loves him dies sooner or later. Is it selfish that he can't take that loss? Is it selfish when you had to watch your uncle whither away? Is it selfish when the only man who was there, the one you thought of as a father figure dies because you just weren't good enough? Is it selfish when your last living relative died in your arms too? Really it's selfish of him to keep on living, when those who deserve it can't. There's a whisper of something in the back of his mind.

He ignores it.

It doesn't matter. None of that matters, because something must have gone wrong with the spell. It wasn’t even his fault this time. Of course, Peter could be dreaming, or hallucinating, or- any way that still doesn't explain why he's no longer anywhere he recognizes.

Perhaps he's dead. Maybe when the spell was cast it killed him. No one can re-remember Peter Parker if he's not there, right? He could be dead.

Being dead is funny. He's small, like super small, around 4 feet even. And his body feels… disproportionate. He feels like a child. It doesn't make any sense. If he was dead, why would he be at an age he's not supposed to have his powers? He can still feel the ringing of his spider-sense, and all of his spidery instincts are intact, so why is he a kid? There's no one to fight in the afterlife. He can feel the way his suit hangs off of him with hyperawareness as well as the blood and grime all over his body. It's disgusting. The nanobots should be contorting to any shape he takes, and it doesn't.

If Peter isn't dead, then where is he?

“Karen?” he waits a few seconds, there's no response.

Well, that's not good.

His suit retracts back into his blue wristbands. The area stays silent. It's early out, and the surrounding area is full of brush and greenery. The trees are tall oak variants and the bushes are completely unfamiliar. The smell of polluted waters infects his sense of smell, more so than the overall rankness of the place. It's a park. Even in its dilapidated state, he can tell. The footpaths are clear of people and only slightly weathered. It doesn't appear to be a very popular destination. Everything feels washed out, it feels heavy. Where is he? He smells a city, but not his city.

He’s not in New York, that much is obvious.

He needs to figure out where he is. The most apparent way to start would be the footpath leading beyond a curve, it looks safe enough. First, though, he needs to asses himself.

The white tee he is wearing is full of stains, most of it blood. Truly unfortunate as he couldn't just go out and about covered in blood, that would be suspicious, especially with his pants in the same condition. It doesn't help that his clothes are a few sizes too big. No, Peter needs to do this movie style- he needs to steal from a conveniently placed clothesline when no one is looking. It wouldn't be his first time anyway, Spider-Man always needed clothes he didn't have.

“Personally, darling I'll take larceny over virtue every time!”

After tucking in his shirt and rolling up his pants he starts for the path. It must not be a bust time of year, or a very popular park, because Peter has been walking for 10 minutes and he hasn't sensed anybody. Thats definitely a record to say the least. It is starting to get concerning with his surroundings transforming to become more… threatening? Yeah, his senses have been going off the entire time he's been here- but eh what kills him makes him stronger! Still, that doesn't mean he's headed for the more suspicious option when he comes to a fork in the path.

It was easy to forget about everything and walk, there was too much to think about, and he preferred not to, but as his time came to an end he had to think about what to do. He could clearly see the metal gates of the entrance creeping up ahead. The sign stood boldly against the grey sky. It was written backward from where he could see it, clearly meant to be read on the way in, nevertheless, he could see the bold gothic font reading “Robinson Park”. Yep. he has no idea where that is.

Giving himself one last check-over, he wipes his face with his forearm and continues past the gate. There are people lurking now. Every little thing makes his hair rise, he's never seen so many people accustomed to blending in with the shadows, never so many so distrusting. It's disconcerting. He takes a left onto the sidewalk, still with no concrete idea where he's going. He should ask, but the looks he receives just walking make his skin crawl, no one is safe. It reminds him how vulnerable he is as a child.

That's when he happens upon the aforementioned conveniently placed clothesline! It's located between two third-story windows that look like they belong to a small family. For someone with normal abilities, it would be impossible to reach that high, fortunately for Peter, he hasn't been normal for a long time. Every kid had their parents, but Peter had his aunt. She's not here- He crawls up the wall, there aren't many clothes that suit him within reach, but he can see a pair of overalls that fit. Eh good enough. The owner shouldn't miss them anyway. They're a bit old but they are clean. He jumps back down into the alleyway.

After changing his pants he tosses them onto the clothesline, abandoning them for good. And then he walks. He walks until he finds somebody who doesn't look like they would walk away when he approaches them, and he sticks to the shadows. It takes another 20 minutes.

He sees an older woman. Her dreads are a deep purple, they complement her skin nicely. She’s still intimidating, but he can just tell she won't chase him away. Perhaps it's because she's tending to some of the only healthy plants he's seen so far. She cares. May liked yellow garden mums.

After a moment of gathering his courage, he approaches.

“Hello? I’m sorry to bother you ma'am but could you tell me where I am?”

She stares at him for a hot second (reasonable considering he likely looks like a preteen covered in dirt) before responding, “Gotham, Jersey,” She shifts toward him “What's got ya stranded, tiny?”

“I'm not sure?”

“Don't say that like a question.” Okay then.

“I’m not sure.”

“Better.”

Let's cut down on the conversation, “Sorry, but could you point me to the library?”

“Down the street you just passed.” She says it like she would rather like for him to shut up.

“Thanks.”

She simply goes back to her plants. he turns around and heads for the sign that reads “Lamar Street” before taking a left to go down it. Gotham, New Jersey. What kind of a stupid name is that? It kind of fits though, everything is quite gothic. Well, at least it's not named City City or anything. Eugh but he's in New Jersey- what kind of a sick joke is Mr. Strange Dr. Strange playing? Gotham doesn’t even exist. Honestly, he's confused, because if it did there's no way he wouldn’t have heard of it. This place is huge, and a pain in the butt to walk in.

He wants to go home , is there anything left of ‘home’?. How did he even end up here again? He's been walking for just about half an hour and he's only come up with a few theories.

A. He's been put into a comatose or dreamlike state by the spell to teach him a lesson? Unlikely.

B. He has been in a comatose or dreamlike state since he was a child and created a reality in his head where he's Spider-Man and has awoken in the real world. Also unlikely considering that if his life was a fantasy he wouldn't have killed off everyone he ever loved.

Now for the most likely answer: C. Peters has been sent to an alternate dimension by the spell and is now stuck in a timeline where everything is fucked, including himself.

Probable, unfortunately. Seeing as the spell had to do with both sewing the multiverse back together and sending the villains back home.

“‘Probability’ is just a five-dollar word for ‘luck.’ And I'm nothing but bad luck, baby.”

Yeah, something went wrong with that spell.

Faith darn it. —

He’ll need to get to the library to truly confirm anything. Good thing he can see a large rectangular structure in the distance, it's a traditional structure with an ornate design, it has white stone support pillars, huge steps, and a ramp that leads to a row of doors.

It took a few minutes to actually get the the library, it was more impressive up close. You could clearly see the spots that were repaired, and they added to the beauty of the exterior, like kintsugi There’s beauty in a broken bowl, Peter-. Just above the entrance, you could see the well-carved “Gotham Public Library” sign. Good thing he arrived at the moment he did, the sky looks ready to cry and he does not want to be on the receiving end of it.

Peter finds the many steps to be irritating on his legs, but the rotating doors feel satisfying to walk through. It's like a weight lifted off his shoulders. The smell of books and wood is comforting. He’ll find a way home.

The interior was exactly as he imagined, with a high ceiling and a ridiculously large space. The floor was made of a polished grey stone, and the shelves were dark wood. Throughout the room he could just barely see tables and chairs with lamps situated stagnantly in place. There was definitely more beyond what he could see.

At the front, there were two desks, only one of them was occupied though. On the other side of it was a redheaded librarian, typing something on a rather outdated desktop.

Peter, needing an outdated desktop of his own, advanced on her desk. He barely reached over the top, so he stepped back a bit to be more in view of the librarian.

“Excuse me,”

She paused from what she was doing and looked up, she seemed surprised, and… perturbed. She reminds him of May.

"With great power, there must come great responsibility."

She spent a second thinking, “Ah yes, do you need something?” She decided on.

“I’m looking for the computers-” She interrupted, “Oh! Yes that’ll be just down the aisle,” she gestured to her left. Her gaze never left him, though. “Thanks, Ms.-?”

“My name’s Barbara, and yours?”

“It’s Peter.” He hadn't needed to introduce himself in what felt like ages. It’s nice.

“Have a nice day, Peter” she smiled.

“You too Ms. Barbara!” he smiled back, genuinely.

Though even as he walked away he could feel her eyes on him.

Today was actually shaping up to be a relatively normal day for Barbara, as on all good days no active rogues were waiting to terrorize the city, she got a good chunk of sleep, and she even ate a couple of croissants. That was until her early afternoon shift at the library. Sure, doppelgangers exist, but so do clones. This didn't feel like a clone.

The child in front of her sent her back- back to an age where an 8-year-old in a leotard beat grown men in the dead of night. This isn't him, this child may share his shape, but his eyes and hair are brown, a dark brown that you can only see under the light. It could be a coincidence, but when has anything been a coincidence? There's surely something wrong here. Is it an unknown relative? Unlikely. Somebody would've mentioned extended family if he had any. If the boy was related to Dick then the only real option is that he fathered a child.

Except Peter looks 10, possibly younger, and Dick just turned 27. Teen parents exist. Dick is not one of them.

So… you got sent to another universe. You screwed up. You know it's probably something you did. The question is, what was it? Maybe you tried to do something stupid. But take it from a guy who has no idea what’s going on… the only way to find out is to take a step back. The voice of Captain America rings in Peters' head. He actually kind of wishes he could watch his PSAs. It would mean he is somewhere close to home.

Except that the only American captain around here is Captain Marvel, which is nothing like the Captain Marvel back home, seeing as this one is a man. He also happens to be one of the many members of the Justice League, which looks like this universe's version of the Avengers.

Of course, there's a bigger issue here, namely 1:15 PM April 3, 2011. The computer clearly states it as the date though just a few hours ago it was around 7:00 PM on July 11, 2024.

“If you expect disappointment, then you can never really be disappointed.”

Peter is nine. Nine years old in the crime capital of the world. In a world that isn't even his. Stuck in a place not even 8.5 vigilantes (Nightwing spends most of his time in Gotham's sister city of Blüdhaven if Peter remembers correctly) can protect.

Hc that Wills normal body temperature Is like around 38°C and Nicos is around 32°C.

During winter Will can go out with just a swearshirt and maybe one very light jacket if its really cold. Nico? Oh Nico had to get specialized in layering to not die of hypotermia. He has to wear 2 shirts, one sweater and over it a sweatshirt, a warm jacket, a wool hat, gloves, a scarf. He needs to wear one to three pairs of socks to not have freezed feets. His cabin has everything you can think of to make him warm (blankets, heat pads, a whole fireplace, blankets, heaters everywhere, blankets and did i mention blankets?) but outside Is HELL.

Nico hates summer but he has to admitt that its the only time he doesnt risk to die everytime he puts a feet out of his cabin. During the hot, hot days hes able to even wear a tank top, and knee-lenght jeans. Will loves summer, really. He loves the sun, the blue and clear skies, the long days, going to the beach, having bonfires there... What he doesnt love? The heat. He Is constantly sweating like crazy, and has to always bring a little fan around. Lunchtime Is the worst. He has to sit there, still, for like an half an hour, when there are like 30°+C. He really dies. Has to drink seven bottles of water an hour to function decently. Hes always either at the beach, in the water, or in the infirmary, that he equipped with thousands of fans. Theres one of Wills sweatshirts hanging from a coat hanger for when Nico visits him.

Covid time wasnt fun. They could go everywhere and not get accepted in first because of Wills temperature, and second because of Nicos. Everyone was always so confused, they bought that thermometer just yesterday, how was it already broken? Because It had to be broken, there was no way someone with a temperature of 30°C couldve been standing there, alive. So of course there was a big possibility that the blond guy temperature was wrong as well, so they both had to wait outside while the poor employee had to figure out what was going on.

It always happened. At one point Nico got tired of it and told Will "why cant we just shadowtravel in? The cinema is dark, no one would notice us." And Will really wanted to follow the rules, but he also really wanted to watch that damn movie. So fuck it, thats exactly what they started to do.

today i decided to comment on some popular bttf theories or questions asked. just to add my 2 cents.

why are doc and marty friends?? how the hell did they meet?!

SHUT UUPP why shouldn't they be friends? i don't see the issue and never have seen one. why can't a 17 year old boy be friends with a disgraced nuclear physicist? you don't have to question how they met. the movie establishes them as friENDS in the first five goddamn minutes, marty enters the lab without even knocking and obviously has access to a key. i like to think that the whole POINT of strickland telling marty that doc is a nutcase is to show the audience that he ISN'T a nutcase and, in fact, a nice guy and willing to do anything to help marty get home. sure, the whole plutonium and having the car drive towards them is. a bit questionable BUT it's also obvious that marty trusts doc. doc is willing to lay down his life for marty and marty is willing to do anything to save him. if that isn't true friendship, i don't know what is. there, are you happy now, you doubters?

i'm kinda split on this one tbh. i quite enjoy the idea of doc being the one who has to save marty after marty saves him in part 1 & 3, with the same attitude of "i don't care what happens to the universe i just want to keep my bff alive". it makes sense, too. on the other hand, i also like the thought of doc either being there by coincidence or instinctively knowing marty was in danger. because he has dad instincts ok

marty's parents/george knew he was a time traveler

hmmm. i don't know about lorraine, but i can see that being the case for george. not only was george the first one to meet marty in 1955, him telling him his name without george having introduced himself and so on, there also was this whole darth vader scene, the "i didn't know you did anything creative", the way marty clearly called him "dad" lmao and overall marty's insistence to get george to ask lorraine out. george might not know for sure, but i can see him having developed a theory like that. also because he basically based his first novel on the whole darth vader thing.

the idea of the secret eventually being revealed at a later point and lorraine being like "????" while george goes "ah yes, i suspected that" is also funny so

personally, i have always thought that normal marty and lone pine marty just switched timelines. tp marty went to 1955, set up his parents after ruining their first meeting, and got back to 1985. lp marty went back to 1955, didn't fuck around with his family history because he assumed that it was the whole calvin klein thing, thus his parents met the normal way and boom, twin pines timeline. or something like that.

he is a drag queen and does performances at gay bars on the weekends and gets STUPID drunk after he performs. he is shockingly good at doing makeup and costuming. in a better world he wouldve done costumes and wardrobe in hollywood movies

he majored in english when he was in college bcuz he wanted to be either a screenwriter for hollywood movies (fun fact his voice actor directed and acted in a gay romcom and i think thats the kind of thing ambrose would pretend he's too cool for but secretly enjoy) or a novelist (he still writes in his free time) but neither of those worked out as actual jobs so he settled for elementary school librarian. even though he hates kids so much and isnt technically qualified but they were desperate when they hired him

he doesn't have a relationship with anyone in his family like if he died tomorrow everything he owned would go to his dog. his parents were just terrible shitty people and he doesn't get along with them at all refuses to attend family events if they're there. he doesn't talk to his extended family either but he's happier this way!!!! maybe he didnt have a great childhood its not like he would ever talk about it with anyone except for occasionally his roommate when they're up late and he gets very drunk

i also feel like he's either an only child or a younger brother who was always compared to his older sibling but no way his ass is an older sibling SORRY

his roommate is a lesbian and he's gay which is why they live together. no chance of catching feelings (this was agreed upon when they moved in together)

without a doubt he is a functioning alcoholic mostly bcuz he refuses to deal with any of his mental health problems or talk about them with anyone. its going great for him dw

Alright quick question..we have similar taste in fictional men and I’ve never watched Bleach before should I start it so I can obsess over Mayuri as well?

HMMMMMMMAH rly hard to tell. Ok sorry bleach fans i love u but im gonna shit talk this show a bit. Pls dont read if u cant handle me rambling abt my personal experience w a show meant for 15 year old boys. I actually love it deeply !!!!!!! I enjoy ir a lot!!!!! However. I really struggle w watching the show sometimes. Its over 300 eps + the movies which i havent even gotten started with. It's difficult bc theres a lot of cool moments too but good lird esp at tge start the fights consist of characters deciding that they have more soul power bc of some memory they had and beatinh eachother. Everyone is confident there is character variety but everyone is like supposed 2 be a huge badass and idk thats just not my type of media (which is why orihime is actually one of my favourite characters bc she stands in such contrast w her confidence issues and damseliness. Also Ishida i love Ishida i love his arc in the umm when they had the bounts and his self reflection about his inabilitu to help the others + hes always rly analytical in fights. Mayuri too bcs all of his power comes from thinking & experimenrting & PREPARADNESS. I dont remember him ever mentioning soul power bc hes like only talking about technique. Zaraki is also incrhesting bc he is overpowered, but to a point of ridiculousness and where he has an one punch man styled conflict w being unable 2 find someone he has fun fightinh w) i like casts full of losers and freaks. Talking of freaks Tite Kubo is one and will NOT stop making fucked up jokes, esp about girls. His humour is shit theres been like. One scene where i laughed out loud and it was bc ichigos dad pelted him w no mercy bc hes used 2 him being able to fight but ichigo was just tired and he flew thru the room thats fr the only time ive laughed. Theres a lot of rly dark topics also treated very lightly, including when it comes to Mayuri??? Esp his treatment of Nemu. As far as ive seen!!! The storyline has an interesting end in the manga tho and like it seems more thoughtful but ive yet to see that. But the treatment of Nemu as a prop to show how awful Mayuri is and to also be fanservice rly. It frusturates me. Theres so much like, interesting stuff you could do w her character. Again tho im at ep like 180 so maybe there will be!!!! For the good tho Tite Kubo has just. Theeee most incredible eye for character design in my eyes hes so fuckinh good its ridiculous. Even a lot of the side characters are mega memorable and its no wonder a lot of thr characters are absolutely iconic. Also the show definetly gets better the beginninh is just so. Slow. As u can prolly pick up from my earlier notes there are a couple characters that i fuxking loooove aside from Mayuri. As for mayuri he is fuckinh viile and they make some gross jokes abt him too but he is so. Ill b real hes just sexy and also transformation coded so. Literally childhood fave chinhands emoji idc. There also are some great interactions between characters!!! Thr main characters rly care abt eachothef and are so devoted 2 taking care of eachother and i think thats lovely. They can be cranky and mean but theyre always worried for eachother and rwady to help and i think thats just so sweet i like that dynamic. Sorry i di have more to say abt the show as u can see i have some big big emotions abt it and i care abt iy sm but it also often frusturates me deeply a lot of tje time. Its a show you endure. Thank god it jas a dub bc i am watcjing it while knitting / drawing etc.

He DEFINITELY kept his hair long as he got older, but got rid of the bangs and actually started to style it, kinda like a rockstar hair cut, but less curly? ykwim? more wavy.

Listens to metal, nu metal, ICP, Gorillaz, Radiohead, and early rap like Eminem/Sir-Mix-A-Lot, and 110% listens to Weird Al Yankovic.

Literally his whole closet consists of slacks and button ups with the occasional t-shirt and jeans thrown in there. MAYBE two hoodies.

Got called pretty by a girl once for having long hair and that's why he keeps his hair long bc he heard that if a girl calls a guy pretty, they are serious.

I fully believe this, based on how he acts in the movie, porn makes him EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Like, he gets physical reactions and he gets upset because it makes him THAT uncomfortable.

He's very smart. Like, this dude has a calculator in his pants. Bro is Sheldon from Big Bang Theory. Bazinga.

my ocs are a group of magic criminals. in their world, magic is illegal except for very specific government sanctioned circumstances. & my characters use magic to steal from shitty rich people.

#1 freak is lou... shes my everything... she makes the plans for the heists but is also manipulating the other characters most of the time bc she wants revenge for the death of her brother gio. eventually she realizes that maybe she shouldnt do that. her powers are control over her own body and brain to the point of being able to use magic to do things like disable certain nerves so she doesnt feel pain and increase her strength enough that it gives her a heart attack. also she thinks shes in an action movie all the time so from her perspective everything is like car chases and explosions

#2 freak is fina... she has healing powers and can reservoir her magic (like store her power and use it all at once for massive effects). she wanted to go to med school but then her mother died from seven sickness which is like. caused from secondhand magic exposure and fina thought it was her fault so she ran away. eventually fina catches seven sickness too and discovers that her whole town was poisoned by factory magic use and thats why everybody got sick. she used to commit robberies on her own so she and lou are always in kind of like a power struggle until fina uses the magic reservoir to save lou from her heart attack . then they make out

#3 freak is victor. he was the best friend of lou's dead brother gio and lou lied to him about gio still being alive at one point so he doesnt like her but follows her around bc hes hiding from other magical criminals who are worse. he used to work for like. magic assassins and has issues abt it bc he may have been mind controlled into it but he cant tell. he has sound powers where he can project audio to others or shape it into physical objects like weapons. he can also make himself silent which works well for style of theft. hes the most neurotic freak there

#4 freak is lila. shes younger than the others bc she enlisted in the psychic division of the military at 18 but deserted when they wanted her to do like. magic geneva convention violations. she has difficulty not reading others' thoughts. shes kind of the silliest. she met lou when she was on the run and could read lou's thoughts enough to know that she was a fellow illegal magic user and lou ended up hiring her to the magic criminal team.

#5 freak is grant hes like... the initially normal one who gets dragged into it and becomes as out of touch as the rest of them. he was a security guard at a place they were trying to rob when Lou offered him a job instead. His powers are basically that he can fling mirror shards. hes normal for like the first year or so of the story but then he gets possessed by the ghost of gio (lou's brother) and inherits his light powers but also inherits a curse that either he or victor will die. then grant spends a chunk of the story trying to get out of that curse and becoming more power hungry to the point of becoming unrecognizable and killing magicians for their power.

here im gonna go ahead and “try” to compile all my favorite inukag moments from the series. this particular post is a) based off the anime and b) in nO PARTICULAR ORDER so yeah

I. LOVE. THIS. MOMENT. SO. FUCKING. MUCH.

first off, inuyasha’s genuine concern over her???? his palm cupping her cheek???? the way his eyes change as they look over her???? NOPE. thats it, im dead. what i love about inuyasha is when he feels something, he FEELS it. especially in the moment of panic or TRUE WORRY. gone is the feeling of shame or embarrassment. there’s no blushing and no macho man persona. what we have right here is pure, GENUINE concern over someone he cares about deeply. and more than anything else, this is still fairly early in their relationship. its been what, a month, maybe more, since they met. they dont know each other all that well yet and we all know inuyasha has some genuine trust issues. but with kagome... it’s different. he’s all in for her, whether he’d admit it yet (& he definitely wouldn’t yet). but this moment changes things for him. this moment truly frightens him, truly makes him think he’s gonna lose her. he cant have that, he’d give anything to protect this strange and irritating girl. he calls her useless and annoying, but he likes her. a lot. he trusts her, which is saying a lot.

HAHAHA YES. okay so this is such a good moment because prior to this exact screenshot, inuyasha is tugging at her sleeve, trying to get her to show him her wound because W O R R I E D. sango is coming up, watching them and she thanks them, leaving them both blushing and confused. this is a moment i love for more than just the cute inukag moment- it’s an inuGANG moment. neither one of them really realize what kind of impact they have on their comrades- kagome’s kindness despite having been attacked by kohaku, and inuyasha’s constant restraint in battle. which of course means inuyasha CARES about sango. he knows her baby brother is important to her, so he’s important to him too, even if he tries to make it seem like he’s not. them acting the way they do have this way of telling sango that everything is going to be alright in the end, without even knowing they’re doing it.

this is a movie 2 moment

i love it because we get a bit of why i love kagome & inuyasha together SO MUCH more than i could have ever liked kikyo & inuyasha. i like you as a half demon is what she’s saying here, telling inuyasha that he doesnt have to change. that he’s perfect the way he is. when you think back to moments like this with kikyo, its her almost urging him to become human with the jewel. rather than accept inuyasha as he is, she offers him a way out. kagome loves inuyasha for WHO he is, for what he is, and she doesnt care if he’s human or demon, she just cares that he’s inuyasha.

this goes back to that first moment i listed, because it’s inuyasha showing GENUINE concern for kagome (and shippo too!) when he thinks they’ve died, he says something along the lines of you’ve killed my friends, youre really gonna regret that or whatever it is that he says... BUT YOU CAN SEE IT ON HIS FACE & HEAR IT IN HIS VOICE, HE’S PISSED. those are his FRIENDS. HIS COMRADES. how dare you hurt them!! the new friends he’s so recently acquired, though they may be new they’re HIS and theyre IMPORTANT. i love this because his first reaction is anger and then true grief as he reaches for her hand, saying dont leave me. this is a moment that kind of always stuck with me throughout the series as being important, because it really shows you how close inuyasha and kagome are, even this early in the series. even though inuyasha is rough around the edges and would never admit it TO HER, you know he cares a lot for her. this moment is proof of how much inuyasha truly feels for those he cares about, no matter how long it’s been since he’s met them. its proof of his big heart

YOUR BLOOD DOESNT BOTHER ME

fuck that line always gets me and honestly i cant tell you if she says it in the anime or just the manga, but we’ll pretend i know what im talking about. honestly, this whole episode was GOLD. inuyasha cares so deeply for kagome, he’s willing to go through hell & back just to ensure she’s safe and protected. when he knew she was in danger, he fought like hell to get to her. & though he’s weak and bleeding, his only thoughts are of her. & he wants her to put his robe on, even if she’s bothered by the blood stains, because its gonna offer her protection.

AND THEN THE ENDING SCENES? ESPECIALLY THE ANGRY CRYING, CLING??

kagome crying over the edge of the cliff, thinking inuyasha has just died to save her life. its not what she wanted, its never something she’d want. but he did it and she cant take it back. nothing miroku or shippo says can stop her from feeling guilty and so overwhelmingly sad she cant even speak. and then she’s angry. how dare he die & leave her behind. how dare he throw his own life away in place of her own. he knew he was weak and hurt, but he threw himself off the cliff anyways, despite her protests. but then he’s alive & she’s crying, shaking him in anger and relief. she’s just so happy he’s alive.

WHATS NOT TO LOVE, HONESTLY??

kagome is calling out to sesshomaru, calling him “big brother” and both him and inuyasha wear the BEST expressions ever. then of course you get jaken who’s like WTF HOW DARE SHE & sesshomaru is like stfu ill kill u bitch. WHICH I LOVE BECAUSE HELLO, CHARACTER GROWTH.

another movie 2 moment (can you tell its my favorite one?)

i love, love, lOOOVEEEE this moment. its’ one of my all time favorite moments, honestly. i love that it’s kagome that brings him back. her voice, her smile, her touch, and then her kiss. she’s there, locked inside his heart & mind, his bond with her stronger than any magic spell. and while it seems like for a moment inuyasha might lose himself to his inner demon, kagome saves him with a kiss (hey, fuck u gender stereotypes! girls can wake their guys with kisses too!) & we get a really sweet moment that follows

he tells her ill stay a hanyou just a little longer, jsut for you.

JUST. FOR. YOU.

fuck. he remembers what she says to him & its special to me because again, kagome loves him FOR HIM. she doesnt want him to change, she doesnt want him to be human or a full demon. she just wants him to be him. everyone else he’s ever known has looked down on him for being half and half, never fully belonging to either side. but with kagome... he knows he’ll always belong.

plus he’s clinging to her like she’s his only fucking lifeline. inukag hugs mean more to me than probably anything. even the kisses, tbh.

INUYASHA BLUSHING, GAH

its adorable. i enjoy it thoroughly.

more early moments i LOVE & cant help but over analyze.

this is the FIRST TIME he gives her his robe of the fire rat. its so important because it’s him showing concern for her well being & understanding that she needs his protection. he offers it to her and can i just say, any time i see inuyasha doing this i get giddy inside??

i know its dumb but i just love it so much

LIKE IT JUST FILLS MY HEART WITH SO MUCH JOY.

this is another favorite moment because it shows kagome’s growth as a character. inuyasha has just come from seeing kikyo and yes, of course she’s upset by this, but she’s also upset that this idiot is up and MOVING AROUND? HELLO YOU ALMOST DIED??? what ARE YOU DOING??? but also, he saw kikyo and that hurts, but her concern over him always takes precedence, no matter how she feels about him & kikyo being together.

SHUT UP & LET ME PROTECT YOU.

this is a reanimation of a beginning episode (i think its from.. movie 4? 3? maybe its 3. i think its 3.) and GOD I REMEMBER SEEING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY. 10yr old me was like “yup, theyre gonna get married.”

any & all jealous-inuyasha moments can be included here, alright? this one is just my favorite way inuyasha interrupts.

i love jealous-inu. like, more than anything. he’s so quick to put himself between kagome & men, whether its koga or miroku or a stranger. she’s HIS even if he wouldn’t have admitted it at this point in their relationship. kagome is off limits to everyone.

i cant, im crying, i just love him so much

all the expressions here literally define the whole dynamic of their relationships lmao

SCREAMING

i always cry & flail & fangirl over this moment. it doesnt matter how many times i see the scene or the episode. i could write novels about how much this moment means to me & to their relationship. i feel like this is a defining point for them, especially for inuyasha.

its at this point that he recognizes how much kagome means to him & that scares him. the last time he cared for a woman, she died. and that same woman died thinking he’d killed her. he cant let that happen again. he cant let another woman he cares for *ahem* LOVES die. he wont. and he knows that going forward, things are gonna get a lot more dangerous. so he does what he thinks is the best choice: he sends her home. but before we see him push her back down the well, we get this really sweet embrace and admission of ~feelings~ from inuyasha. he tells her how scared he was, that he really thought he was gonna lose her that day. for the first time in his life, he admits to someone else just how much they mean to him. he may not say “kagome i adore you” but he might as well have. his embrace, his words, and then his pushing her down the well says everything about the truth of his feelings for her. he’d rather be WITHOUT her, than see her get hurt. you can see how badly it hurts him to send her home, but it’s not about him anymore. its about protecting the girl he so clearly loves.

so he sends her away & hopes she’ll be safe on the other side.

bonus kagome yelling @ inuyasha so loudly he almost blows away.

damn girl, u scary.

then there’s this moment....

i love it because inuyasha is just so... so vulnerable here. he’s washing and washing but cant get the stench of blood off his hands. and then there’s kagome with that pitying look on her face. he can see it in her eyes... and he hates it. he doesnt want pity, he says, he doesnt care what he did, he yells, but she knows he’s lying. i think this is important for inuyasha’s growth as a character too, because for the first time he sees the PROBLEM with him becoming a full demon.

& what does he fear the most about changing again? that he’s going to hurt kagome. that those claws of his are going to draw her blood. that next time, she might not be able to bring him back from the edge. & that terrifies him,

but more than anything else- inuyasha lets her in. in a moment such as this, if it’d been anyone else, he’d have locked them out. he’d never have let someone else see him when he felt so vulnerable, so sad. but kagome... kagome was different. kagome understands, somehow, she always knows what to say or what to do when it comes to his feelings. she cant offer him much comfort aside from this- her light embrace. but it was all he needed. inuyasha sliding his hand into place over hers is such a beautiful and powerful image, with his striking golden eyes so fucking sad. it breaks my heart every single time i see this episode or watch this scene

MORE BLUSHING INU.

YES MORE OF THIS.

i honestly dont remember the context of this moment (she sneezes? she’s cold?) but it’s another one of those moments where his protective side comes out. Kagome CANT get sick (yeah thats what im gonna go with here okay) and his instinct is to offer her his robe, which will keep her warm & safe. kagome leans in to rest her head on his shoulder and ITS JUST ADORABLE

i love this moment so fucking much you guys have no idea.

ILL PROTECT KAGOME he screams as he jumps into the line of fire. tessaiga isnt even working correctly at this point but there was no way in hell he’d have let that guy hurt kagome. he’d have given his life in this very moment if it meant protecting kagome. i love how the story of hoshiyomi & tsukiyomi kind of mirrors that of inukag- i mean, even inukik. it reminds me a lot of naruto & how it takes generations of the groups to get it right- hoshiyomi & tsukiyomi tried but failed. inuyasha & kikyo were the second set to try it, they came close, but it still just wasn’t right. but then kagome comes along & everything just falls so perfectly into place. it took a few tries, but they got it right in the end.

could this list really ever be complete without this special moment?

i absolutely, 100% will never get over this moment.

not only is this a really great inukag moment, it’s an inu-gang moment.

he’s worried about them all, his heart aches because he really thinks he’s lost them all. but then... kagome’s soft little voice speaks & he realizes that they’ve all been saved. PERFECTION. for the first time, inuyasha sheds tears for someone he loves - and it’s not just for kagome, again, he’s worried about them ALL. he’s learned how to open his heart to love and affection and friendship. it’s softened him, changed him, FOREVER. and i jsut will never get over that.
