more art of survivor and monk's family. (headcanon alert)

the white and pink slugcats arent survivor and hunter btw!!! just wanna make that clear because ive seen some people assume that.

My simple headcanon is that after survivor and monk were lost, allegedly dead, the parents out of grief became very overprotective of their last remaining pup (third sibling).

By the next migration, the parents refused to migrate alongside the colony despite several warnings of imminent danger. in my drawing, gourmand trys to convince them to, at the very least, let their pup travel with the safety of the colony. to no avail, the parents get offended by the suggestion and set off on their own.

this headcanon is still a work in progress. im not sure if I'll expand on it or just keep it as is but i guess we'll see.
