Chimney and Hen both glance at him with twin looks that clearly mean he’s on his own with telling the rest of the story. Which—they had no problem teasing and joking about it three seconds ago, but now that Buck has to really get to the heart of the issue, they’re leaving it to him?

“I told my parents,” Buck says, rubbing at the bridge of his nose with closed eyes, “that I’m married to you.”

“What on earth are you wearing?”

It’s only after Buck blurts out the question that he notices the abandoned spinner and game box on the kitchen table and raises an eyebrow at his husband. His husband who is presently bedecked with a variety of cheap, plastic jewelry including what appear to be clip-on earrings and a crown that is far too small for his head.

Eddie looks down and flicks a bead on the necklace resting against his chest—when he looks back to Buck, he’s barely suppressing a smile.

“I’m the prettiest princess in the land, didn’t you know?”

Buck snickers and Eddie’s mask breaks, a grin stretching across his face as he crosses the room to kiss Buck hello.

“Maddie brought the game, but had to run—something about an anniversary planning emergency,” Eddie explains. “Clara and Jee-Yun are sleeping in Christopher’s room but I could only get them to agree to nap time if I promised not to take any of it off.”

“You’re a pushover,” Buck teases. “They wouldn’t have known.”

“Says you.”

4. If you could rewrite one episode which one would it be and why?

.....OKAY SO MAYBE I HAVE UNDERESTIMATED HOW HARD THESE WERE GOING TO BE

and this one, in particular, is really hard to answer because even if there are some things i may have done differently, there hasn't been an episode i disliked in its entirety, there's always something i enjoy, which is why 911 is very special imho

if i had to pick one, though, i think it would be 2x17 (careful what you wish for). i know shannon is a bit of a controversial character, but her death still doesn't sit right with me, and i think eddie's arc didn't need her to die to work out, the fact that she was leaving again would have been enough. also i would have gone without the pregnancy scare and just.. idk, have her realize that she and eddie are way better as friends than partners, and that they were always gonna be part of each other's and christopher's life, but that they had both grown and changed and needed to move on

also i know im taking this way too seriously, but instead of having chimney going 'power hungry' as captain and having to call bobby to deal with the chocolate factory call, i would have liked to have a bit more depth on how he actually felt at having to replace bobby and taking on the responsibility as captain

The route itself is pretty simple. From their apartment in Scarborough to Christopher’s school, it’s a bus ride and a trip on Line 2, and then from the school to SickKids, it’s just another few stops on the train and a transfer to Line 1. They’ve got it down to a routine, him and Chris; back home, Eddie could never quite figure out the transit system, but despite all its many, many flaws, the TTC seems to have their back.

It could have warned him about the guy, though.
