Yuri Anime ‘Adachi and Shimamura’ Premieres

The first episode of Tezuka Productions’ Yuri anime Adachi and Shimamura premiered in Japan on October 8 on TBS and BS11. The first episode is available to stream with English subtitles on Funimation.

Adachi and Shimamura is based on the light novel series of the same name by Hitoma Iruma. Funimation describes the TV anime:

Adachi spends her school days skipping class until she meets fellow delinquent Shimamura and the two become fast friends. Cutting class together deepens their friendship but soon unexpected emotions blossom. As awkwardness and confusion settle in, the two girls travel this sea of emotions without a paddle as they learn about each other’s feelings.

The anime stars Akari Kitou as Adachi and Miku Itou as Shimamura. The two sing the anime’s opening theme “Kimi ni Aeta Hi” together. Additional cast members include Manami Numakura, Iori Saeki, and Reina Ueda. It is directed by Satoshi Kuwabara.

Yen Press will publish the first volume of the manga is 2021.

oh dang if you could what would you say is a good "baby's first deathmatch"?

oooooo that's tough. like, i fuckin love a deathmatch, but i'll be first to admit that even i have an extremely limited scope of what i've seen compared to the true aficionados. i'll give you some options, and try to keep it to "easy to find on youtube", cuz i dunno what you usually watch or what you have access to.

1. if you are really, extremely new to the bloodier side of the sport: samoa joe vs necrobutcher.

i talk about this match a lot, it's like a rite of passage. it's not actually a deathmatch, but it is so, so insanely bloody, it still tops lists. two extremely large dudes attempting to kill each other and damn near succeeding. if you're not sure if the gore of deathmatches is for you, maybe start here. if you can handle watching blood literally spurt from necrobutcher's wounds like it's a practical effect in a horror movie, you'll be okay to start adding some weapons.

2. classic, and some of the first deathmatches i watched: anything terry funk vs atsushi onita, but specifically the seminal classic, the no rope exploding barbed wire timebomb deathmatch.

it's a classic for a reason, and it's a lot of people's first deathmatch for a reason. a masterpiece.

3. another classic, imho: combat toyoda vs megumi kudo, no rope electrified barbed wire deathmatch.

a great send off for toyoda, very fun and innovative for its time, and arguably one of fmw's best matches ever. not as outright bloody and gory as a lot i could—and will—name, but still unmissable. they went out there and really did something special. actually, this is an evergreen recommendation. just watch it, regardless of interest in deathmatch wrestling. it's just real fucking good.

4. i shoutout pro wrestling cinema a whole lot, but sometimes it's fun to just watch their recap music videos (which i still do a whole lot)

they're extremely pretty, for a start. everything in glorious, hi-def, slow motion. ever seen someone go through a pane of glass in slow motion? it's art. if you can't afford, or just don't want, to buy a bunch of gcw shows, it's a good starting place. i would highly suggest their nick gage vs rsp vid, which i still watch like once a week to get hype. other good ones: drew parker vs alex colon, gage vs mox, alex colon vs lucky 13. there's also literal baby's first deathmatch, nick gage vs matt cardona. for cardonas for forray into the hardcore, he really went for it. (also, some of those matches are probably on youtube in full in a non-official capacity)

5. another classic, because i'm reminiscing now. megumi kudo vs shark tsuchiya, another electrified no rope barbed wire deathmatch.

retirement matches simply make me feel a lot of emotions, this time it's kudo's retirement. it's fun, it's emotional, it's not nearly as much of a bloodbath and you might expect, but goddamn it, i love it. this feud is well worth looking up, too. it's like one of the biggest women's match draws in history, and i think it was only ousted by becky vs charlotte vs the transphobe. in the lead up to this match, shark set kudo's hair on fire.

6. speaking of. if you want to just dive right in, go big and all that: just type "czw tournament of death" and go to town

honestly, i can't name a whole lot of individual matches off the dome, but i have been known to simply let jesus take the wheel and autoplay tod for as long as possible. look for sick nic mondo, thumbtack jack, brain damage, gage, rsp, alex colon, masada matches. also, arguably one of the best, sickest matches i can remember: thumbtack jack vs jd hyde.

7. another "just jump right in" rec: iwa-mid south's queen of the deathmatch tournament. most specifically, mickie knuckles vs mayumi oazaki no rope barbed wire electrified light tube, fans bring the weapons, steel cage death match

the final of iwa-ms' first ever women's death match tournament (in 2006! took em long enough, jfc). just 7 minutes of pure, creative, brutal insanity. absolutely horrifying, but holy shit.

8. it's worth trying to find (or just buying. if you buy no other gcw shows, this one is extremely worth it) gcw's art of war games. nick gage, alex colon and sgc vs 44oh.

war games style match at its finest. just an absolute insane, bloody fucking sport fest. you can probably find this on youtube and i cannot stress enough how much you should.

9. if you you've watched any of aew's lights out/unsanctioned/street fights, you've had a good starter pack.

honestly, thunder rosa vs britt baker may not be a deathmatch in name, but it is in my heart. it hit the beats, the gore, the brutality. all it was missing was a light tube. if you watched that, you can jump into deathmatches and almost definitely be fine and dandy.

honorable mentions:

mercedes martinez vs lufisto from wsu' ultraviolent affairs. hard to find, i've only watched it once and i still think about it. mercedes and lufisto had some fucking wars. also, lufisto is just a goddamn legend.

anything bull nakano vs aja kong. two rivals who had some absolute bangers in the short years before nakano was forced to retire. highly recommend ajw's wrestlemarinpiad ii. a brutal fuckin hoss fight.

anything matt tremont. i haven't had coffee yet and have run out of steam and brain power, so i forgot to include any tremont matches. man is insane.

OH YEAH. i almost posted without including some all timers. gage vs g-raver 50,000 thumbtacks match. just a fun good time, love it. solid wrestling, a shitton of pokey bois, a real good time. would also add gage vs mance warner 100,000 thumbtacks match. so much fun, but i dunno if that one is on youtube

so, there is some kind of list for you. should give you a variety, at least, but some people probably know a lot more and have functioning brains currently, and might give you a better starter pack. i can at least confirm that these are all things i started my gf on when she started watching wrestling with me, so at least these have been tested

Serie animata basata su “Kanojo mo Kanojo”, la nuova commedia romantica firmata Hiroyuki (Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to, Doujin Work, Aho Girl).

Naoya Mukai ama Saki Saki sin dalle elementari, e quando lei finalmente accetta i suoi sentimenti, lui è al massimo della felicità. Poco dopo, però, una bella ragazza di nome Nagisa Minase confessa a Naoya di essere innamorata di lui! Non volendo ferire i sentimenti di nessuna delle due ragazze, Naoya decide di uscire con entrambe! Cosa uscirà da questo triangolo amoroso che sfida il senso comune?

I’M STANDING ON A MILLION LIVES (Stagione 2)

Torna la serie tv tratta dal manga fantasy isekai scritto da Naoki Yamakawa e disegnato da Akinari Nao (Trinity Seven). La prima stagione di 12 episodi è andata in onda lo scorso autunno ed è già disponibile in streaming sulla piattaforma.

Il distaccato e razionale alunno di terza media, Yusuke Yotsuya, viene trasportato in un mondo parallelo che sembra un videogioco. Diventa il terzo giocatore e si imbarca in una pericolosa missione insieme ai suoi compagni di classe Iu Shindo e Kusue Hakozaki, teletrasportati lì prima di lui. Il freddo Yusuke rifugge ogni dimostrazione di emozione ed esamina ogni elemento con distacco, talvolta prendendosi gioco delle vite dei suoi compagni. Potrà proteggere il suo gruppo dagli attacchi dei mostri, i terribili incidenti e i piani dei nemici per vincere il gioco?

L’adattamento è diretto da Kumiko Habara (assistente di regia in Angolmois: Record of Mongol Invasion) presso lo studio MAHO FILM (If It’s for My Daughter I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord, By the Grace of the Gods). PEACH BOY RIVERSIDE

Serie animata basata sul manga adventure fantasy scritto da Coolkyoushinja (Komori-san Can’t Decline, I Can’t Understand What My Husband Is Saying e Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) e disegnato da Johanne, che prende spunto dal famoso racconto giapponese di Momotaro, reinventandolo.

Saltherine Aldarake è una giovane principessa sempre solare e allegra, desiderosa di andare all'avventura perché annoiata dalla vita nell suo piccolo castello in campagna. Un giorno, però, un gruppo di feroci demoni conosciuti come Oni arrivano alle sue porte, minacciando la vita di tutti nel Regno. Per fortuna, vengono salvati da un viandante solitario di nome Mikoto Kibitsu che uccide tutti mostri grazie ad un misterioso “Peach Eye”. Scossa dai pericoli del mondo esterno, la principessa decide di intraprendere un viaggio per conto suo, senza sapere che questo avrebbe messo in moto una catena di eventi tali da determinare il destino di questo mondo magico.

Il progetto targato ASAHI PRODUCTION (WAVE!! Let’s go surfing!!, Heaven’s Design Team) è diretto da Shigeru Ueda (Senran Kagura Estival Versus) e sceneggiato da Keiichiro Ochi (The Quintessential Quintuplets, Hinamatsuri). THE AQUATOPE ON WHITE SAND

Nuova serie originale dello studio P.A. WORKS (Iroduku: The World in Colors, Nagi no Asu kara, Shirobako, Appare-Ranman!) all’insegna dello slice of life.

Il Gama Gama Aquarium è un piccolo acquario di Okinawa, a un'ora di autobus da Naha. Kukuru Misakino è una liceale diciottenne che lavora lì e conosce il “segreto” di quel posto: a volte appiano cose misteriose all’interno dell’aquario. Un giorno Kukuru incontra Fuuka, in piedi davanti a una delle vasche e con le lacrime che le scendono sulle guance. La ragazza ha rinunciato al suo sogno di diventare una idol e si è trasferita da Tokyo ad Okinawa alla ricerca di un nuovo inizio. Fuuka comincia dunque a lavorare all'acquario, che oltre a dare qualche grattacapo inaspettato a causa del suo “segreto”, rischia di essere chiuso a breve.

L’anime è diretto da Toshiya Shinohara (Iroduku: The World in Colors, Nagi no Asu kara) e sceneggiato da Yuuko Kakihara (Tsuki ga Kirei, Iroduku: The World in Colors), mentre il character design è ad opera di Yuki Akiyama (Iroduku: The World in Colors) e si basa su quello concepito da U35 (Lapis Re:LiGHTs, Magia Record Puella Magi Madoka Magica Gaiden Another Story). Akiyama si occupa anche di supervisionare il comparto animazioni, le musiche per la colonna sonora, invece, sono composte da Yoshiaki Dewa (Iroduku: The World in Colors, Nagi no Asu kara, Flying Witch).

Serie animata tratta dal manga “Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi” scritto da Amahara (Interspecies Reviewers) e disegnato da Coolkyoushinja Komori-san Can’t Decline, I Can’t Understand What My Husband Is Saying e Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid).

800 anni or sono, gli dèi apparvero sulla terra sconfiggendo e sigillando i demoni che avevano portato l'umanità sull'orlo della distruzione. Le divinità di oggi vivono un’esistenza pacifica e non hanno alcuna esperienza in battaglia, ma i demoni stanno per tornare e per dèi e uomini è di nuovo tempo di combattere.

Prodotto dallo studio MAPPA (Dorohedoro, Jujutsu Kaisen, Zombie Land Saga), l’adattamento dell’action fantasy è diretto da Seimei Kidokoro (assistente di regia in Fireworks e Hells) sceneggiato da Hiroshi Seko (Dorohedoro, Jujutsu Kaisen), mentre il character design è curato da Nao Ootsu (Beastars, Land of the Lustrous).

Como parte del lanzamiento de Infinito AgaV Bimba, se presentó en el Centro Cultural de España de la Ciudad de México para compartir con sus fans un recorrido musical de 17 años de experiencias y que hoy han alcanzado una madurez sobresaliente en su sonido, ya que sin dejar las raíces del ska, ahora pudimos disfrutar de una fusión de elementos y armonías que abarcan una mayor tonalidad de texturas y géneros que van del folk, rock, hip-hop y funk, generando sonoridades frescas con un sello que sin duda dará una apertura a un horizonte más global en cuanto a su alcance y proyección. Cabe destacar que para la creación de Infinito, la producción del disco corrió a cargo de los integrantes de la banda y la coproducción de “Crunchy” López (Lost Acapulco) y Jhon Fuzz (Fenómeno Fuzz). Además de que en los arreglos de los metales se contó con la colaboración de Manuel Hernández quién es trombonista de Lila Downs  y también formaba parte de la orquesta de Juan Gabriel.    

Entre los invitados especiales que integran Infinito se encuentran: Jorge Salcedo, vocalista de Sekta Core/Damelo, Mayumi Toyoda, de Tijuana No/Dispara y en Funky participó Nico Maleón, ex vocalista de La Coyota.

Un foro que incremento la temperatura con cada rola y movimiento de AgaV Bimba y que previamente se pusieron a mover el cuerpo con la cadencia del rock funk de Fenómeno Fuzz que también se encuentra promocionando su sencillo: “Avion” el cual forma parte de su más reciente producción Aloha.

Mayumi Toyoda y Oscar " Tolo" Herrera, de Fusión Brothers, también estuvieron presentes en el show compartiendo micrófono con Roberto Bimba. Con esta presentación AgaV Bimba seguirá promocionando su nuevo álbum en diferentes escenarios y echaran mano de las plataformas digitales para así cautivar más escuchas por lo que ya puedes disfrutar de Infinito en Spotify y You Tube

New Trailer Announces Yuri Anime ‘Adachi and Shimamura’ Will Premiere in October

On Friday, a second trailer for the upcoming anime adaptation of Adachi and Shimamura (Adachi to Shimamura) was uploaded to the anime’s official website. The trailer announced that the anime would premiere in October 2020 in Japan.

Adachi and Shimamura is the anime adaptation of Hitoma Iruma’s popular light novel Yuri series of the same name. It follows the titular characters, both high school delinquents, and their friendship as it develops into a budding romance.

The anime stars Akari Kitou as Adachi and Miku Itou as Shimamura. The two sing the anime’s opening theme “Kimi ni Aeta Hi” together. Additional cast members include Manami Numakura, Iori Saeki, and Reina Ueda.

The anime is produced at Tezuka Production and will be directed by Satoshi Kuwabara (Dagashi Kashi 2). The script is by Keiichirou Ohchi and Mayumi Morita, and the character designs are by Shizue Kaneko (Lost Song).

Adachi and Shimamura is one of the most popular Yuri series in Japan. The light novels originally began serialization in 2012, and eight volumes have been released to date. The series spawned two manga adaptions, one of which is currently serialized in Monthy Comic Dengeki Daioh.

The light novels are licensed for English release by Seven Seas Entertainment. The first volume is currently available digitally, with a planned print release in June.

Llegan a nuestra ciudad los grandes clásicos de Ska y Reggae en una versión sinfónica

Está noche, el Teatro Diana presentará All Stars Ska Reggae Sinfónico, un concierto excepcional que reúne a grandes artistas de ambos géneros. La lista de talentos que se reunirán esta noche está encabezada por Bahiano (ex Los Pericos), Boris Bilbraut (Cultura Profética), Big Javy (Inspector), Neto y Chava (Ganja), Mayumi Toyoda (ex Tijuana No) y Pinocho (Estrpambóticos).

El concierto propone un viaje por los sonidos de México, Argentina, Jamaica, Venezuela, Cuba, España y Puerto Rico a través del talento de 20 artistas que a su vez serán acompañados por la Orkeska Internacional en una interpretación singular de canciones como “Luz y compañía”, “El loco”, “Cómo te extra��o”, “Labios rojos”, “Para no verte más” y otras canciones icónicas como “Could you be loved” y “Enjoy yourself”.

Este espectáculo se logró gracias a la colaboración de Rock Show Entertainment, Alto Nivel y CL Asesores, teniendo su primera presentación el 7 de julio del año pasado en el Teatro Metropolitan de la Ciudad de México. Originalmente, se planeaba realizar una sola edición de este espectáculo, sin embargo, la respuesta del público mexicano ha permitido dos presentaciones más, una en nuestra ciudad y posteriormente otra en Ciudad de México.
