T’Challa

It started off with only you being silent but T’Challa has a streak of being petty, he doesn’t care if you talk to him or not in the beginning.

Single Dad!M’Baku Headcanon

For those who desired a less heart-wrenching conclusion to my Untitled series and for those who are simply curious to what our beloved M’Baku would be like as a single father.

M’Baku is extremely protective over his little boy.

Where the Jabari tribe leader can be found, his child can also be found either safely tucked against his chest or in the crook of his arm.

Taking after his mother, M’Baku’s boy is more of the quiet and pensive type.

M’Baku only speaks to his son in a soft tone.

M’Baku’s son is his entire world and the child is an absolute daddy’s boy.

The pair develop a somewhat unhealthy codependency in the boy’s early years but it becomes healthy overtime. 

M’Baku is reluctant to speak of his deceased wife for her passing still pains him greatly, but when his little boy sneaks into his room at night after a nightmare (as she had once done) and asks to be told about his mother M’Baku can not refuse. 

“Your mother was the most beautiful princess Wakanda had ever known and she was kind, so kind...”

Father-Son treks in the Jabari mountains are a given.

“Look son, over the great mountains and beyond is the land you will rule one day.”

While Jabari children usually start training at the age of five, M’Baku’s shy boy doesn’t want to join the other kids ( he would rather stay with his daddy and watch him train).

M’Baku obliges because he can never refuse his son or force him to do something he doesn’t want to do. 

Many members of the Jabari criticize M’Baku for not forcing his son into combat training, some even claim he is a bad father and that his son is weak.

M’Baku disregards most comments, but doesn’t hesitate to pop someone when they start really talking sideways.

“You may think whatever you wish, but if anyone dares say something about the way I raise my son or ever dares insult him again, I will not hesitate to show you the might of your leader!”

M’Baku’s boy finally accepts to start training at the age of eight and is terribly good at it for having watched his father train for three years; however he has no care for it.

The boy is more interested in scientific discoveries and looks forward to spending weekends with his Auntie Shuri.

“There is no way compound A and C can be genetically modified to produce the fraction of volume necessary to develop a molecule identical to such an element! It simply is impos- actually now that I think about it... Call your dad and tell him Auntie Shuri’s going to need you for a few more days.”

M’Baku builds a lab similar to Shuri’s for his scientifically inclined son. 

The boy spoiled rotten by Grandma Ramonda who never ceases to overfeed her ever so growing grandson.

Both look forward to their yearly trip to Italy where they honour the memory of M’Baku’s late wife/the boy’s mother.

“She would have been so proud of you,” M’Baku choked out as he gazed down at his boy (who was not too far away from become a man).

“She would have been proud of you too, father,” N’Kamili replied as he continued to stare at the sun setting on the Italian scenery.

There were no tears of sadness for her that day, just joy and longing. The sun shone a little longer for them for it was also filled with her joy and longing.

Mbaku and Attuma: BFFs headcanons

They have nicknames only the other can call them:

You call him M’baku? Nah, Attuma knows him as Great Gorilla, Punching bag, lightweight, Coulda-been King, and Rocks for brains

You know Attuma? Nah, that’s M’baku’s bestie Great White, Shark Bait, Fishy General, Dollar Store Jaws, and Fat Ass.

They pretend not to be friends at first, until M’Baku says it first after Attuma begins to publically court Okoye.

M’Baku: I do not care that we are friends, if you hurt her in any way, I will see to it you never set foot on this land or sully her honor again.

Attuma:

Attuma: we are… friends?

They hug. It’s quick but it’s a hug.

-There's no point in getting involved with M'Baku unless you're in it for the long haul.

-He wants everything, spouse, kids, grandkids, all of that.

-He may be hot tempered, but if y'all ever have a serious fight he will go all marriage counselor on your asses cause unless there's a fundamental difference between the two of you, he isn't gonna quit on y'alls relationship.

-He can definitely get possessive when you're around other people, but he also wants you to be friends with his friends, and he trusts them not to try any shit with you.

-Same with you, your friends are like your family, and you want them to get along with him.  

-Likes watching you spar with people because "wow look at my love beating the shit out of everyone, I'm so proud, glory to Hanuman"

-He's more than happy to have you by his side on battlefields, he knows you'll have his back, and he'll always have yours

-He loves braiding your hair in his spare time, and considers it an honour whenever you let him do your hair; he picked it up from his mother (also picked up his temper from her).

-He's a big softie when it comes to children, and he personally wants a whole hoard of girls and boys from you, so you gotta be prepared to have kids at some point in the future (he doesn't mind when, as long as y'all do)

-After a couple months of living together the two of you decided to do away with his bed and instead sleep on a pile of furs by the fireplace for two reasons.

-One, not many beds would fit the gigantic man, and the one that did fit him would ONLY fit him, and you'd end up getting squashed against the wall or under him.

-Secondly, when yall are in the bedroom, yall spend most of your time on those furs anyways because that's his favourite place to fuck you cause you're all warm and relaxed, and he can do whatever he wants, and make you come as many times as he wants

-Also yall usually fall asleep there anyways

-When he's fucking you he loves the way your moans grow louder and shriller, countering his own deep grunts as he buries himself in you.  You try to contain your sounds for the sake of any passing guards or servants, but that never lasts.

-His favourite position to have you is on your hands and knees, cause that's when you're vulnerable and he can do anything he wants to you; plus it shows that you trust him enough to submit to him like that.

-He also gets to watch your ass bounce when he slams into you. He's a little obsessed with your 🍑 and will use almost any opportunity to grab it or smack it regardless of who's around you.

-Especially when you're laying on your stomach reading something or just taking a nap, he'll sneak up behind you to bite your ass

-He'll purposely overfeed you cause he likes em thick all over, and once you're pregnant, he basically turns yalls bedroom into a mini kitchen for any and all of your favourite vegetarian dishes.

-Tries to make you do as little as possible when you're pregnant, even though he knows you'll do what you want; you do try to cut down on strenuous activities so he won't worry as much

-Speak of strenuous activities, he think's you're even hotter when you're pregnant, and has no problems indulging your hormones whenever you need it, but he does keep it slow and gentle so as not to hurt you or the baby.

-You can get away with literally anything when you're pregnant, he remains surprisingly even tempered with you for nine whole ass months (it really surprises you the first time), he understands that you're busy creating a life and your hormones don't have the patience for a lot of things (he still goes off at other people though, that never changes).

-He definitely cries when your child is born, he cries and h e thanks you for giving him such s great gift.

-Also won't let anyone apart from y'all hold the baby until you convince him that the doctors and nurses won't harm the child.

-Of course he's that over protective parent who's willing to fight anyone for his children, but once they get to the right age, the both of you train them in combat and self defense so they can hold their own and protect each other.

-After yall have the child, he's already planning the next one, and the one after, you have to remind him to chill and focus on the ones yall currently have

-Y'all will definitely be having twins at some point, and there is a 90% chance he will brag about how 'fertile' you are (including all your friends and family)  

-He takes the kids everywhere with him, the throne room is littered with toys, some people may disapprove, but no one's going to tell Lord M'Baku or his wife where they can or can't take their kids

Headcanon where after the whole Black Panther movie, Shuri and M'Baku are forced to work closely together as she has to teach him how to use her gadgets so that he may show his people how to use them.

At first, M'Baku is reluctant and shows his clear displeasure of being taught by Shuri. In his eyes, Shuri is still the young girl he thinks to be and she and her gadgets aren’t reliable. How are gadgets made by a teenager supposed to be trustworthy anyway? 

Plus, Shuri infuriates him to no end, it’s like her main mission in life to make his blood pressure increase. She gives snide remarks, which frankly, he finds extremely disrespectful because he’s her superior and a respected leader of a tribe, and not a guy who just warms up the throne with his butt, as Shuri suggests.

However, her jokes and meems (memes? meem? He’s not sure how it’s spelt.) soon start to grow on him and not long after, he’s starting to look at Shuri in a new light. He begins to respect her and treat her as an equal and grows fond of her as well, not that he’ll ever tell her that.

They have a light banter, casual insults thrown at one another and some particularly good insults that result in Shuri screaming ‘ROASTED’ (whatever that means), and M’Baku swears her use of modern language (”oOH you just got burnt M’Baku”) doesn’t make him grin.

He also swears that the girl is nothing like a younger sister to him, more like a pest he cares for but definitely does not love. No way.

So, I started BP Music Group a year after my pops died, a tribute to him. We’ve been the hottest record label in all Wakanda for five years, no matter what you done heard. Our artists are untouchable.  You probably done heard my music before producing artists like Daniel Cesar and SZA. The rock in my life is Nakia. She’s a special girl, she’s always there for me.

Nakia enters the studio while T’Challa is working with SZA. Sits in between them.

T’Challa: can we help you?

Nakia: Nah, continue.

T’Challa: O-Kay. (rolls his eyes starting the song back over, leans awkwardly to see SZA.) This song would be great for you.

T’Challa Confessional: She a little protective. But I wouldn’t trade her for anything. She been down for me since we were kids. Haven’t got married yet because it’s just not the time.

Nakia confessional: I’m Nakia. I used to sing and all that but I wanted to get away from all of that.  I currently run a clothing line called Wakandan Glam, it’s nothing major. Just a million-dollar company. We make shoes, clothes and I’m starting to dabble in cosmetics. I’ve been with King for over ten years and he still hasn’t proposed. I keep talking to his mom and she ain’t got the answer either. So, I set up a deadline for myself, one more year and I’m moving on. There are several other men that want this successful, educated black woman. You feel me? Okay. Good.

Nakia: Just in case you wondering.

-          Talks to Ramonda about her son and tries to convince him she’s the wife

-          Lives with T’Challa but always suspects he’s cheating, follows him and goes through his phone from time to time.

-          Still close friends with O’Koye but doesn’t trust her around T’Challa.

-          Slept with Erik once when she was drunk, refuses to admit it. (Granted he got a video)

Okoye, “Koko”, former member of Milaje Trois, A&R Rep for BP Music Group

Okoye confessional: Hi, I’m O’koye, Head of A&R for BP Music Group. I’ve represented T’Challa for over five years and I represent other artists such as Shuri and Bucky. I try to keep everything professional and I put up with nonsense, which can be hard as hell working with Shuri because she always has something up her sleeve. I’m married to W’Kabi, he just got out of prison for embezzlement. I don’t want to talk about, just know this dude is thin ice with me. I mean thin.

W’Kabi: Babe, you hungry?

O’Koye: Yeah we can eat after I finish this session. (Points to Shuri whose showing her the new lyrics to her song)

W’Kabi: I’m hungry now. (He shrugs) she can wait. Can’t you wait?

O’Koye: (eyes widen and slams down her phone) Hey, what did I say

O’Koye confessional: I mean he doesn’t understand I’m the bread in this relationship which means I steer the boat. He’s. (Pinches the bridge of her nose) Whatever, like I said… this damn ice.

-          Plans on leaving BP Music Group one day and opening a management firm

-          Best friends with T’Challa makes him weary of making life decisions he hasn’t thought out yet, like marrying Nakia.

-          Does not fraternize at work

-          Would rather be single sometimes when she thinks about the bad image W’Kabi brings

-          Does not like Erik, but is proud of him for forming his own record label.

-          Best friends with Ayo, does not support her relationship with Erik

Erik Confessional: Yo, what’s going on people. I’m Erik, the sole owner of Golden Jag Muzik. I’ve had several hits including: Arch that Shit, Bottom Out and Throw it Back. I left BP Music Group about five years ago, because his shit got wack, and now I manage artists and get sold out shows and shit. Right now, I got this new artists named Chiron, he young I’m teaching him the ropes and shit. I have no woman, and no kids, that I know of. (Pauses) Call me the pullout champ. (winks at camera) I fuck with this one chick heavy but she just cool. Tryna get her rap game off the ground. Following my golden Rule: Secure the Bag then Secure the Ass. It’s all about the dollar.

Ayo: Did you book me for the Women Festival? Ayo sits in Erik’s lap planting kisses down his neck.

Erik Confessional: I really like her, though. I think that she can go far in the game and I plan on taking her there. And Chiron too.

M’Baku: I’m M’Baku. I don’t sing. I don’t dance. I run a marketing company that advertises the hottest artist in Wakanda. I pair with both BP Music and Golden Jag. Their artists use me for promotions and booking. I just like to make money. Jabari Markets is something that took time and we don’t allow people to bullshit us, catch these hands if that’s the case. There is no lucky lady currently. I just like to work, get this money and travel. Nothing better than not having the strings these other two got.

T’Challa flips his phone over.

M’Baku: Man will you just answer the damn phone? (sips his Hennessey.)

T’Challa: It’s Nakia.

Erik: (phone vibrates) Now she calling me. Why she won’t call you?

M’Baku: I blocked her number. I ain’t got time for that shit.

M’Baku Confessional: Like I said, I keep to myself and I handle This business. I’m not like the rest. My business is first.
