BIOGRAPHY.

oliver coulson was born to a loving single mother in chicago. they’d been left by his father shortly after he was informed of the pregnancy, so his whole life he only ever had a mother. she was honest with him from the start and so he never asked about his father. two years later came his little sister dominique, and once again there was no man in the picture. ollie didn’t mind this upbringing because come hell or high water, his mother never disappointed him. he lived in chicago until he was 20 when both him and his sister started to pursue their stupid dream of being punk rockstars. it was silly, but the band had been together for three years now and they had an opportunity to tour. their sibling rockstar career was short lived because only a couple months on the road and his sister decided she wanted to go to college, and left the band. dominique went back to chicago and ollie and the band continued touring the states. a year after the band’s tour, and pumping out two albums, they met their demise. the band broke up and oliver was left without a job, or a passion. by this time he’d worked every customer service job imaginable and he was tired. he’d already tried to pursue his musician dream and now at 22, when all of his other friends were graduating with degrees, he wanted to do something mature. he began to volunteer as a fireman in chicago, while working nights at a diner. eventually when they were hiring for more firefighters, ollie was first in line and he started that career. he often switched states just to work different gigs and met people that way. dominique went to maine where she started her career as a meteorologist and over the years, she kept oliver updated. and ollie was always jealous that dominique got her degree, because she had the marks for a full ride scholarship where as all he’d done since high school was work minimum wage and long hours.  during his mid and late twenties ollie moved around a lot so he never truly unpacked in a place. he had a few relationships, but nothing that truly panned out. if he was being honest, he wasn’t sure that settling down would ever be for him. after all, he was 28 and his heart was still stuck with the one that got away. that all changed when he met wanted connection. it was love at first sight and with them, ollie finally found a home. they were wonderful in every way and they’ve been together ever since. their relationship faced tough times when ollie heard about dominique’s disappearance. oliver was a mess. his sister was his life and he’d visited her so many times, she was so happy in her job. but at only 27 years of age, dominique was gone and the authorities reported her as dead. this was his last somber visit to moorbrooke and it happened a year ago. his partner supported him wholeheartedly and it was the only reason ollie’s still standing.  fast forward to now. dominique passed away a year ago and ollie found himself back in moorbrooke. it wasn’t work that brought him here, but his sister. he wanted to feel close to her again, so here he came. unfortunately for his relationship, a couple months after domi’s death, ollie found himself unable to sit still in the relationship again. he got caught cheated on his partner, and they’re currently on a break, but not broken up ( very rachel/ross ). he’s working at the fire department in moorbrooke and currently crashing at his best friend’s ( but he’s paying rent  ). 

PERSONALITY.

ollie is a funny guy. he’s silly and charming and he likes it when people like him. he’s also a huge flirt and he loves any attention he gets. he’s a good friend, and always there if you need a shoulder to cry on. but being a bastard bachelor for so long, he never really became mature. he’s still careless with how he spends money and always wonders what if. he thinks his golden years have passed him by. he is going to therapy and he was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. he’s very keen on self sabotage because when your sister dies younger than you’ll ever be again, there is no point in trying. he doesn’t think he deserves a good life. big bucket of self hate over here!

chaos was a constant in the household that julien grew up in. born to two young, unprepared parents who were musicians themselves, julien was always doted on and always felt loved, but the lifestyle was messy, and she would still say that she learned to take care of herself from a very young age due to being unable to rely on her parents all the time.

this wasn’t always a bad thing, and she does credit it as strengthening her relationship with her parents, as it allowed them to treat her more like an adult, with respect. julien never made a problem when her parents went on tour and left her with a handful of boring relatives for a while; in return, her parents didn’t fuss too much about her eventually dropping out of school to pursue music. music had always come to her much more easily than school, anyways — not to mention she liked it much more. all of this uncertainty, though, led her to develop an attitude that some might describe as standoffish. she doesn’t mean to be like this, but it does tend to be an aura that she projects without realizing.

most of the time, though, her aura is exactly the opposite. julien in her prime can be incredibly charming, funny, and talkative. you don’t make it far as a musician who dropped out of high school unless you know how to make friends, and julien has never found herself short of acquaintances. wherever she goes, she can strike up a conversation with someone suddenly and be totally absorbed.

despite her ability to make friends, love has never been her strong suit, and her first real heartbreak at the age of 21 left her mostly closed off to the idea of love — after a string of disappointing & lackluster failed relationships, julien met & fell head over heels for a female drummer she was working with at age twenty-one, and has never looked back since. the relationship ended up being doomed before it really could start, because a young girl figuring out her sexuality and her first relationship while falling head over heels for an older traveling musician isn’t exactly the stuff of fairy tales. 

as it turns out, the loneliness and chaos of working and living as a touring musician starts to take its toll on you after a while. about five years back, after a particularly brutally long stint of touring with some musician friends, she decided to take a step back and pursue one of her other passions, art. she got a little experience under her belt working as a tattoo intern, and fell in love with the job, and has kept doing it consistently while playing music. it was part of what kept her sane when music ended up driving her off the walls. 

after so many years of living the lifestyle of a musician, plus starting to split her time between that and tattooing, julien thought she could handle touring and making music full time again a few years ago. but the loneliness of living on the road plus some constant low-simmering tension had her alcohol consumption level increasing at an alarming rate, as much as she tried to hide it. it was low and slow, but eventually her drinking blew out of proportion. she went on a bender that resulted in a drunken blowout with one of her bandmates, and before she could even process it, she was off to rehab trying to pick up the pieces of everything her life had become. 

after rehab came some time spent back at home with her family, a place she’d left at eighteen and hardly looked back to except for short visits. it was nice, and it was well-needed, but it also drove her a little fucking insane for all the chaos in her life to suddenly be replaced with quiet. after a few months steady on her feet, she decided a change was in order, and moorbrooke seemed just the place when she stumbled onto it. she’s working full time as a tattoo artist, and playing music on the side just to take the edge off of things — of course, though, in the back of her brain, there’s a voice worrying about it all getting to be too much again.

hi, hello, hey! i’m tea, and i havn’t been in a rp forever. so, please excuse me whilst i try to figure out formatting and everything again! i’m so excited to be here, and bring little annie to life!

b a c k s t o r y

annie  had a nice, clean and loving childhood. no scandals, no secrets and nothing but loving and understanding adults. she did good in school, and had her eyes set on becoming a doctor. annie went trough highschool as a somewhat popular and overall happy teenager. and then she started college, and that’s when things started going wrong.

or, they didn’t go south because she started college, but because she met pete. pete was charming and persistent, and annie fell head over heals. he showered her in gifts, compliments and attention. she was on cloud nine, altough her family never really liked pete. soon enough, the gifts and compliments stopped coming. the attention stayed, however it changed character. pete needed to know everything, all the time. he became controlling, and eventually he became violent. annie became a silent and scared shadow of her former self.

annie left college after just two years, to become a stay at home wife to pete. it was what he wanted, and she didn’t know anything other than his wishes at that point. her family tried multiple times to get her to come home, but they never realised just how bad it was. the nightmare that was annie’s life went on for three more years, before coming to an abrupt end.

pete was angrier than ever, because annie had finally decided to leave. she tried to pack and leave in the night, when he wouldn’t notice. but he did, and he started accusing her of leaving for another man. she wasn’t though, she was leaving to save her own life. pete got so mad, that he decided to set the house on fire. his reasoning, was that if they weren’t together they might as well be dead.

annie managed to get out of the house fairly quickly, escaping with just some smoke in her lungs and burns on her legs. pete however, never made it out at all. the fire was ruled an accident, and annie became a widow.

she got out, alive. from the house, yeah. but also from the relationship. annie left the town they were in, and moved to moorbrooke. because that’s where her parents had moved a few years earlier, and because she wanted a fresh start.

she isn’t the same carefree, loving and social person she was before pete. but she tries to get back to the person she want’s to be.

buying the florist shop was a way to make a future for herself and have something that was just hers. that she could decide over however she wanted, after living with someone controlling her every move for so long.

annie is a good friend. she bakes you cookies if you'r sick and will always come to rescue you whenever you need it. she’s funny, can solve almost any problem and likes to do spontanious things.

but, she is scarred by her past and afriad to let people in. she doesn’t trust easily, and is quick to judge someones behaviours. she want’s to find real friends and relationships, but she has a hard time letting her guard down.

she’s not easy, but she is worth it.

when it comes to connections, i am open to most things. she could really use some friends, maybe an employee, neighboor or family friend. also someone her parents are trying to set her up with, the first person she slept with after her husband (she most likley woke up in panic), a sibling, a cousin, someone she used to be friends with and lost contact with during her marriage, someone that is a regular at her shop. but like i said, i’m open to most things!

since the age of two, zian has lived in the small town of moorbrooke, maine. he was the youngest of the two lapointe children and he was also the more rambunctious one. despite being incredibly intelligent zian has always found ways to get into trouble in school, but his ability both dumbfounded and frustrated his professors. his implusive nature and quick witted tongue always got him sent to detention, suspended for a couple of days, or home with a letter that his parents had to sign.

things in his household were always a bit rocky. whether it were his parents fighting with one another, his father drinking too much, him getting in trouble, or his father taking out his anger on him, something always seemed to be going down. at first he cried at the pain beat whipping he got felt like, but eventually he learned  that life was going to end up kicking your ass one way or another so he might as well get used to it. and he did, he eventually did not cry when his father lost his temper.

tw: homophobia mention he was ten years old when he saw the movie the outsiders and had his first gay awakening. the moment his eyes landed on sodapop curtis, zian was a goner. he didn’t understand what he was feeling, especially after the shower scene, but he knew that he wanted to keep exploring these new feelings. somehow his father caught wind of what he was feeling and put a stop to it in the only way he knew how, also trying to drill into zian that  he ‘had to carry the family name one day’ with a kid of his own. eventually he learned to suppress these feelings as much as possible, but the thoughts still lingered in the back of his mind.

even though he doesn’t live with his father anymore these days, the guy is still very close to him, he still has a big influence in zian’s life. he’s not a quitter, something that he has proven again and again, especially when it comes to a fight. there’s times were even when he’s getting his ass handed to him he goes down swinging until he gets knocked out. he’s okay with losing just as long as he knows he gave it his all until the very end. he has a roommate that he gets along pretty well with which is still something that surprises him because he never thought anyone would be able to handle living with him for longer than an hour.

he had been working at brinie’s bar since he was twenty two. three years ago the bar came under owner ship of nadine dupont and zian couldn’t be happier with how things are. he’s loyal to her because he finds a sense of home with her that he’s never felt before, and he loves how she always seems to know how to knock sense into him. plus, fighting in her secret fight club also adds to the seemingly endless list as to why zian thinks he has the coolest boss around.

one day he wants to be a professional boxer and until that day comes he’s happy to be under the wing of demir kava-fortier. he knows he probably makes the guy want to scream sometimes because he can be very hard headed and not exactly the easiest person to work with, especially train, but there’s no one else that zian could imagine would be able to take on the challenge.

jill became homeless at the age of 16 when their  mother decided to abandon them. they didn’t know their father, so jill was truly on their own. so they took their time to backpack the country before landing in new york. they got in a lot of freaking trouble there and short story long, they ended up getting arrested and sent to an orphanage after spending a year in juvie. came back to moorbrooke cus they missed his pals. they never graduated high school. instead got their GED when they were like 20. only a handful of people knows about that part of jill’s life, because it’s not something they like to flaunt. those two years were traumatizing for jill  but they are trying to move past it. their dream? to become a farmer lol. knows a lot about agriculture, so they are working up the courage to go to college for it

Bio:

Jen grew up with loud parents and an annoying older sister. She never seemed to fit in with them. She had no real ambition in their eyes, she just wanted to do her thing and be left alone. In reality, they simply didn’t agree with the way she wanted her life to look. At eighteen she moved out and joined the military, with the idea that she could serve some time and then afford to get a degree in criminal justice. It seemed like something that would let her travel, would maybe lead to something interesting. Instead she saw a lot of desert, a lot of blood, and a lot of death. When she came home, she tried to go back to something that seemed familiar, but life was different. Jen was different. She had a boyfriend who dumped her, parents that had retired to Florida and a know-it-all big sister who had moved to Arizona to get married and pop out babies with her attorney husband.

Jennifer spiraled. Hard. Drinking, drugs, sex. Anything to numb herself, to get to sleep, to wake up, to function. She began seeing a guy regularly and all they did was party. One morning, after a bender she woke up beside him on the couch. He never woke up. She was 24 years old and had never had a sterling reputation, meanwhile Trevor, had been the apple of his parents’ eye. His family had money, status and privilege. She was taken to court, painted as the reason for his death and the real source of the drugs. The judge sentenced her to five years in prison. It was rough, but it afforded her the time to get clean.

It’s been 4 years since she left prison, and she managed to rebuild her life and maybe even a bit of her reputation. Instead of pouring herself into partying, she works out and even runs the damn gym. The dream of being a cop is long gone, thanks to the felony on her record. Instead, she’s an armchair investigator, studying true crime and pouring through chat rooms.

gus grew up in los angeles as the elder sibling to leo campbell. despite their age difference, the two were very close. even as a child, gus was protective and parental towards their sibling, often being left to take care of them while their father drank. amongst the chaos of their home life, one of gus’s favourite ways to pass the time was to play video games with his sibling, and it quickly became one of his best ways to escape. 

when gus was eighteen, and leo only thirteen, their father got into a serious car accident while drunk, and he passed away on the scene. anguished and struggling to deal with the loss and loneliness, their mother seemingly moved on much too fast. she met someone new and, after dating for only 6 months, she decided the remaining family was going to move to moorbrooke to be with her new partner. this was devastating news for gus and leo. they had a life in la, leo was still in high school, and neither of them wanted to give it all up for a stranger. to make matters worse, their mother had never treated them particularly well.

but - nearing nineteen years old - gus was now legally an adult and decided to take matters into his own hands. between working two jobs, he had managed to find a shitty apartment near leo’s school and was working on increasing his online following, all while taking care of his younger sibling. it was a lot to juggle, but he felt it was worth it. 

a few years later, leo was out of school and gus was ready to move on and attempt to reunite with their mother. so they moved to moorbrooke. it went as terribly as gus had feared it would. she paid them little attention and made no effort to make things right between them. gus gave up long before leo did, and eventually stopped talking to their mother altogether.

on august 13th 1990, oscar was born to a lovely young newly wed couple in portland, maine. when oscar was a kid, they’d often go on vacations to moorbrooke because little oscar loved the beaches and loved splashing in the sea

he’d always been an inquisitive but quiet kid. at school he found it hard to make friends, just because he was so shy. people tended to like him but his shyness often got in the way of him making close friends, which is something that has mostly stuck with him throughout his life 

at school, english literature was always his favourite subject. he loved books and he loved the idea that he could get lost in a brand new world which was frankly far more interesting than any life he could have in portland. he dreamed of exploring new places and seeing different things, just like the characters in the books he adored 

despite always dreaming of being someplace he wasn’t, oscar still enjoyed his childhood and adored his parents who always did everything they could for him

( parental death tw bc this wouldn’t be a real loren bio without some pain lmao ) but in the summer before his senior year at high school, the zhao family head off to moorbrooke for vacation the way they did every summer. but on the way there, the family were hit by a truck which ran a red light and his parents were instantly killed in the crash

oscar remained in hospital for a few weeks with serious injuries but afterwards, things just changed for him. as he was still underage, his aunt and uncle took him in but oscar was just different. his grades began slipping at school and he became even more withdrawn than he usually was, pulling away from the few friends he had.

he’d been planning on going to university to study literature but after the loss of his parents, he knew he wouldn’t be in the right frame of mind for it so he ditched his plans and ditched his life in portland and decided to do what he’d always dreamed of doing: exploring the world

so the second he graduated, oscar packed his bags and said his goodbyes to portland and left because he just couldn’t stay in a city where everything reminded him of his parents and what he’d lost. 

the next few years he spent travelling to different countries, learning bits and pieces of the languages and cultures from the countries he stayed in. he worked jobs here and there when he ran low on money but for the most part, he was happy. the loss of his parents was still difficult but slowly over time he could feel himself healing

he spent a year in shanghai, which eventually became his favourite place he visited. it was the place his parents were born and grew up in before they moved to america which meant that a part of his heart and life was there. 

as much as he enjoyed travelling, as he reached his mid-twenties he realised that he wanted to finally settle somewhere. something drew him back to moorbrooke -- it was a town he’d always loved and a town his parents loved and it was still closeby to his extended family who were only an hour away in portland.

driftwood bookstore had always been one of his favourite places in moorbrooke, somewhere he’d always drag his parents into, so when a job came up there it seemed like fate to him. 

a few years went by and the owner put driftwood bookstore up for sale and oscar jumped at the chace to buy it. the store was his life and he was happy to put his heart and soul into it, moreso. than he already did. 

then one day, a person walked into the store who’d change everything for him: askel vårvik. oscar had dated people before and been in relationships but whatever he had with askel was different from anything else he’d ever experienced. the relationship was fast and intense and left oscar weak at the knees. it would be over as quick as it began and then suddenly aksel would come back into his life and the cycle would begin again 

he knew it was bad for him and knew he should walk away from the toxic messy that aksel dragged him into, but every time aksel came crawling back after he had shoved oscar away and broke his heart, he found himself falling back into it all over again

fun fact time!

oscar has a cute chubby fluffy orange cat named after pip in great expectations! pip always hangs out at the bookstore with him and has definitely become a main feature of the store

he’s a plant lover and has the entire store covered in plants which are his his babies. he also loves another type of plant ahem if you know what i mean 👀 and smokes it a lottttt

goes without saying but he’s literally always got his nose in his book. he’s the kind of person who carries a book everywhere he goes, even if there won’t be time for him to read it, it’s almost like a comfort blanket for him

secret talent is that he can play the piano, he was given lessons as a kid and even though it’s not something he does as much as he used to, he still loves it a lot

aspen archer never knew her family. born to an unmarried mother who would have rather spent the nights out with people than a screaming baby. her father was a similar catch. she spent her eighteen years of life, bouncing from foster home to foster home. she found peace in her friendships, regardless of how short they ended up being. from school to school she always knew how to make friends and take care of herself. she knew how to keep herself happy, art. no matter where she was placed, a notebook could always keep her mind at rest. ash always said that her life did not start until she was eighteen.  

once she turned eighteen, a trust was released to her. the day she aged out of the foster care system, she became independently wealthy. turned out both of her biological parents didn't want her, but also passed away before she could ever meet them. Aspen Archer was the last child of the Archer family. her grandmother set a trust for her to inherit the day she turned eighteen. 

the good thing to come out of virginia was aiden. he came from a similar background as her. foster care, drug addict deadbeat parents. aspen needed to leave roanoke, aiden needed to stay. aspen found her way to moorbrooke, and settled to town immediately. 

aiden and aspen kept in contact, they were in love and the distance was their biggest argument for years. aspen always made her way back to roanoke for aiden. aiden had never made the journey to moorbrooke. 

in moorbrooke, aspen discovered her talent for design. with the resources she was given, she opened waveson boutique. full of her own designs, her own art, hers. two years into opening the boutique, aspen struggled to keep a clientele. uninspired, needing her muse, aspen flew out to see her love. 

that was the last time she would ever return to her hometown. aspen wanted to surprise aiden at his apartment, she waited and sat in the hallway waiting for him. she knew he would be off work soon, but rather she was greeted by a woman. a gorgeous one, she looked so pure, sweet, kind, she looked the opposite of aspen. she was also seemingly six months pregnant. aspen couldn’t unsee the women who walked into the apartment. she sat and stared at the door, waiting for aiden, to end things in person now rather than become re-inspired. the moment the couple had locked eyes, a tension, despair, death like feeling entered the hallway. words were barely used, rather their eyes did the talking. aspen ended it and left. he never did chase her, she did not expect him to, but nevertheless hurt he didn't. 

returning to moorbrooke, aspen threw herself into her work. it was the only thing she could do to keep herself put together. and it paid off for her. years later her boutique would become a hot spot in town and on the map. she never released her designs to any other company, waveson had her heart and soul built into it. designing gowns was her dream, seeing her designs come to life and be worn was a love she never expected.
