UHHHH.... i originally got my account in like 2011? but i basically only played hunger games servers and quit shortly after bc it gave me a motion sickness headache 😔 and then i think i played briefly on a heavily modded server in like 2017 but also dropped out. and then i finally got into vanilla mc and learned to play properly in 2021 bc a friend invited me to their twitch smp. and now im here!

I love the new update and the new features they announced but I’d really like if they delivered on all of their promises. Fletching tables have been useless SINCE 1.14. archeology was announced in MC live 1.17 and is the only feature they just ignored again despite being one of the more popular ones. They promised they where adding all of the old mobs/biomes almost 4 years ago. My point is I’d like them to finish what they started before they go all in on “making minecraft more minecraft” again I love what they’re doing, with adding new features to old blocks, but they did announce stuff that they said is coming, one of which has been in the plans since 2018-2019.

Les prophètes, qui ont prophétisé touchant la grâce qui vous était réservée, ont fait de ce salut l’objet de leurs recherches et de leurs investigations, voulant sonder l’époque et les circonstances marquées par l’Esprit de Christ qui était en eux, et qui attestait d’avance les souffrances de Christ et la gloire dont elles seraient suivies. Il leur fut révélé que ce n’était pas pour eux-mêmes, mais pour vous, qu’ils étaient les dispensateurs de ces choses, que vous ont annoncées maintenant ceux qui vous ont prêché l’Évangile par le Saint Esprit envoyé du ciel, et dans lesquelles les anges désirent plonger leurs regards (1 Pierre 1.10-12).

Les croyants se demandent souvent ce que savent les anges et à quoi ressemble leur vie dans le royaume spirituel invisible. L’Écriture nous renseigne sur certaines de leurs activités : ils combattent les démons (Da 10.13 ; Jud 9) ; transportent les messages de Dieu (Da 8.16,17 ; 9.21-23 ; 10.11 ; 12.6,7 ; Mt 2.13 ; Lu 1.19,28 ; 2.10-14) ; et accomplissent d’autres services pour Dieu (1 R 19.5 ; Ps 91.11,12 ; Mt 4.11 ; 13.39-42 ; Ac 12.7-11 ; Hé 1.14). Les chrétiens désirent ardemment posséder la sainteté éternelle et vivre une vie de gloire et de communion avec la Trinité comme les anges élus. Mais de leur côté, les anges se demandent ce que peut être la vie dans la grâce et dans la gloire du salut et du pardon du péché. En fait, nous dit Pierre, ils portent constamment un regard fasciné sur la grandeur du salut.

L’intérêt des anges pour le salut

Ces choses (v. 12b) se rapportent aux nombreux aspects du salut dans lesquels les anges désirent plonger leurs regards. Désirent est la traduction de epithumousin, mot qui décrit un désir profond ou une pulsion ardente difficile à satisfaire. Ces mots indiquent que l’intérêt angélique par rapport au salut ne tient ni du caprice ni de la simple curiosité, mais qu’il s’agit d’une passion forte. Plonger leurs regards (parakupsai) signifie littéralement tendre la tête ou s’incliner. Une forme du même mot décrit l’action de l’apôtre Jean au tombeau de Jésus : « s’étant baissé, il vit les bandes qui étaient à terre » (Jn 20.5 ; voir aussi Jn 20.11). Un peu comme si les anges se penchaient pour observer de près tout ce qui concerne le salut. Ils brûlent d’une sainte curiosité envers cette grâce dont ils ne seront jamais l’objet. Les anges saints n’ont pas besoin d’être sauvés et les anges déchus ne peuvent pas l’être. Mais les anges saints s’efforcent de comprendre le salut afin d’en glorifier Dieu encore plus pleinement, ce qui est leur raison première d’exister (Job 38.7 ; Ps 148.2 ; És 6.3 ; Lu 2.13,14 ; Hé 1.6 ; Ap 5.11,12 ; 7.11,12 ; voir aussi Né 9.6 ; Ph 2.9-11).

Cela ne veut pas dire que les anges ne soient pas impliqués dans le plan divin du salut. Ils annoncent la naissance de Christ (Lu 1.26-35 ; 2.10-14), l’assistent pendant sa période d’épreuve (Mt 4.11 ; Lu 22.43), montent la garde au tombeau lors de sa résurrection (Mt 28.5-7 ; Mc 16.4-7 ; Lu 24.4-7), sont présents lors de son ascension aux cieux (Ac 1.10,11), et le serviront plus tard en exerçant un ministère auprès de tous les croyants (3.22 ; Hé 1.14). Dieu a fait de ses anges des témoins de tout ce qui se passe dans le corps de Christ. Ils se réjouissent et louent Dieu lorsque celui-ci sauve un pécheur (Lu 15.7,10) et ils ont veillé sur Paul et sur les autres apôtres (1 Co 4.9). Dieu continue d’exposer la grâce du salut aux yeux des anges :

C’est pourquoi les dominations et les autorités dans les lieux célestes connaissent aujourd’hui par l’Église la sagesse infiniment variée de Dieu (Ép 3.10).

Les anges ne feront jamais l’expérience de la Rédemption, mais cela n’empêche pas le livre de l’Apocalypse de nous donner une fascinante description de leur intérêt pour cette doctrine :

Il vint [Christ, l’Agneau], et il prit le livre de la main droite de celui qui était assis sur le trône. Quand il eut pris le livre, les quatre êtres vivants et les vingt-quatre vieillards se prosternèrent devant l’Agneau, tenant chacun une harpe et des coupes d’or remplies de parfums, qui sont les prières des saints. Et ils chantaient un cantique nouveau, en disant : Tu es digne de prendre le livre, et d’en ouvrir les sceaux ; car tu as été immolé, et tu as racheté pour Dieu par ton sang des hommes de toute tribu, de toute langue, de tout peuple, et de toute nation ; tu as fait d’eux un royaume et des sacrificateurs pour notre Dieu, et ils régneront sur la terre. Aussi dures que puissent être les difficultés de la vie, les chrétiens sont en mesure de les surmonter à cause de la grandeur de la grâce de Dieu qui leur a donné un salut scruté par les prophètes, inspiré par le Saint-Esprit, prêché par les apôtres et continuellement étudié par les anges.
