Do you imagine that all the x-men movies were exactly the same but in DOFP when Charles and Erik meet again at the Pentagon and they're looking at each other like That™ they just kissed like hungry animals and then the prison guards arrive and no one talks about it for the rest of the franchise
And maybe there's a post credit scene in DOFP where we're at the jail back again and Peter mutters to Logan "so... we're not gonna talk about that?" and Logan just says "Don't."
Just watched Bright young things. Absolutely remarkable. Loved it from beginning to end. Well... Hated the gloomy end, but I guess it was appropriate for the whole tone of it...
Stephen Fry! His first director gig? Please! Masterful ✨💋
Good talk done. Now... The realness:
Miles is my bbg nobody touch her ✋🥊💕 *sobs*
I'm done crying over Michael Sheen in funnily classy dresses... (I'm not really. He could step on me and I'd like it <3).
Do mind the tags if you like my banter xoxo
(Yes. I'm in a mood. Yes. This movie did that funny thing of imprinting a little on my already funky personality ;) - dw it won't last long... I think. ;))
I can’t believe it took me until 2022 to finally understand Andrew Garfield’s appeal... I thought he was cute like a deer, and then I was just neutral about him beyond “seems like a nice guy. Also seems like he’s very enthusiastic and he’s straddling that cute eager puppy and annoying theater kid line closely once in a while for me” in the later years. But then something clicked last year? And then the Golden Globes flirting this year????? I’m not sure what, but I think I can see the attractiveness.
Instead of watching Glass Onion (and I will soon because tumblr is a menace about spoilers!) I started watching His Dark Materials series 3.
Besties, I never read the books (and I tried, I PROMISE I did), but holy shit does this TV series give me everything I want out of a fantasy work. I wish I was reading this series when I went through an Eragon phase.
seeing james mcavoy from the third row was EXTREMELY 😍😍😍
when i was 13, i cut out a picture of him from newsweek magazine (the closest thing to an entertainment magazine i had access to) he was in children of dune and he was shirtless and being taken over by sandworm scales (?) and tiny teen!me was like "makes no sense. compels me though" and stuck it up on a bulletin board in my room, where it stayed for many years.
(this one, or quite similar)
then later i saw him in atonement and was totally blown away and realized WAIT IS THAT THE GUY FROM MY BULLETIN BOARD?!
and tonight i got to see him in real life (shirtless, at that!) and it was rly like . . . wow. i didn't think that was a life goal of mine, but maybe it was. maybe. it. was.
(and i think he's a wonderful actor and the play was very good)
When it comes to bad TV kisses that I was still happy about, Madney is actually gonna come in over Stedward, because there are so many angle tricks they could have done but didn’t, and why they went with that is mind boggling to me. 😭 I don’t care who didn’t want to be kissing, the actors or the director or the producers, they could have hid it better!
Whereas Stedward was awkward because A: it’s two actual long-term friends and kissing each other was probably like kissing your brother. And B: both their characters are awkward af, so it does also make sense, narratively.
In either case, whatever the reason for that nowhere-near-a-near-miss Madney kiss, I hope the next one 911 shows us, with any of the characters, is better or at least better hidden 😂
