Father's Day

Father's day was always a hard day for Peter and Nessa. It was often a painful reminder that their birth father's were no longer around. It was a reminder that they were different from the other kids and that they would never have the normal family life others had.

Father's Day 2010. Queens, New York

"Hey Pete, wake up! It's Father's Day!" Uncle Ben shouted loudly, as he turned on the light. Then he removed the blankets from Peter's bed and put them onto the floor.

Peter groaned as he picked up the blanket and glared at his uncle. He then pulled the blanket over himself and laid back down. "Go away. I'm sick. I don't want to go to school."

"You tried this last year, your going to school and your going to have fun." Uncle Ben sat on the edge of Peter's bed. He pulled the blanket of of his nephew again. "I'm going to be right there with you all day and then we will have so much fun at the school carnival once school is done."

"I don't want to go. Leave me alone, if you want to go so bad, go with Aunt May." Peter told him.

" Your Aunt May isn't as fun as you are Peter, you know that." He teased. "Plus I don't want to go without you. I want you to go and have fun."

Meanwhile, Bucky stood in the Parker family's yard. Bucky's daughter had run over to hide in the tree house. She too did not want to go to school today.

"Nessa, you have to come down." Bucky shouted up to his daughter. His tone was calm but loud so that she would hear him. "You can't miss school, so you have to get ready. Today will be a fun day, I'm going to come to class with you and we will go to the carnival afterwards. I bet I could even win you a big stuffed animal to put in your room."

The fact that in some countries Clint Barton's birthday is on father's day will never not be funny to me. Because on one side you have the ultimate bachelor, a man that barely knows how to interact with his protege (616) and in the other side you have the ultimate family man, with three kids, that went on a murder spree when his family got killed (MCU).
