i love the fact that jughead made sure to give all his friends these awesome lives where they were very happy and successful (except for fangs rip your gold record will forever hang on the walls of riverdale high) but he took away any aspect of breaking out from their assigned roles as they had been doing in season 7 then made it so in the end after lives apart and marriages and children and living as artists and activists etc they all still just wanted to be back in 1955 which is also the only time they had hopes of breaking out of their roles. and now they will be on the edge of nonconformity forever neither freeing themselves of what they’re supposed to be nor fully falling in line. foolproof state of possibilities that will never come to be yet never seem unreachable so the story can go on forever and never truly be challenged. narrator jughead you are so sick and twisted

While i work I've been listening to an LP of the Telltale Walking Dead Games (the ones with clementine, I do not care about the others lmao). Ages ago when I played these I was well aware/amused that part of season 2 takes place in Parker's Crossroads/Parker's Run because I grew up right next to it and the detail stood out to me.
