Not to dunk on sh@karian it’s a good ship and one I still hold close to my heart.

But when people talk about how poetic it is for Shepard to be with Garbus despite post-First Contact frigid turian/human relations, I’m like.

That’s not invalid but you are SO CLOSE to some galaxy brain shit.

Obviously Shep and their relationships is more front and center, so Shep and Garbus might have been more satisfying just in terms of content and what the player gets out.

But like as a residual thing, something you pick from context, a background thing….I think Ash/Garbus would have at least been more thematically appropriate than, say, t@librations. Or…I forget, does he flirt with Liara if Tali’s with Shep? Because that’s dumb.
