#me: I was not saying that I personally am uncomfortable with the risk I was saying I thought it wasn’t allowed

I didn't really like the helmet grab by Michonne in towl. I didn't think it was necessary for them to make her do that even though I know they were trying to show how angry she was. Am I overthinking this?
forgive me but I actually think you're not thinking enough. You're not thinking about what's happened from michonne's perspective. even if you were, you're not extending her any empathy because writing off her as just "angry" does not cut it here
....Michonne had to carry on believing rick was dead for FIVE YEARS, raising their kids despite that grief and then when she was given the smallest hope he was alive she gave up another 2 years with her kids, risking her life in the wastelands, surviving chlorine poisoning, and enduring more fucking trauma with nothing keeping her going but the fact that she loved him and would not give up looking...... AND THEN she finds him against all those odds and rick had the CAUCACITY to try and trick her into ABANDONING HIM and insinuate that she DOESN'T TRULY LOVE HIM UNLESS SHE DOES??? of fucking COURSE she rips that dumb fucking helmet off his head!! she wants him to say that nonsense to her FACE, hear how insane it sounds, and be greeted with the only appropriate response to an assertion so ludicrous: silence.
When my dad and I watched that episode we both agreed rick actually got off easy for trying to pull that shit after what michonne had been through. My dad even left the room when rick was bragging about his stoopid plan to trick michonne into leaving to jadis because my dad is very sensitive to second hand embarrassment and rick was so fucking idiotic for trying to do that to michonne and thinking it would work.
ALSO.....something that I've ranted about before is this idea of an empathy gap between how people see white characters and characters of colour (ESPECIALLY Black characters) because such is the racism of the world that people simply don't empathise or even sympathise with characters of colour because they've been conditioned not to. Years of racist media conditions you to empathise with white characters almost instinctively even when they're wrong. In this case, rick was wrong. Totally wrong, despite his intentions. He was dishonest, condescending, and inconsiderate. Michonne had every right to be angry and every right to show him how angry she was. The fact that you're uncomfortable with that maybe means you haven't really paid mind to what michonne has been through and maybe you haven't done that because she's a Black woman. Personally, I loved that scene so much and I also love all the scenes in ep4 where she's pissed off because michonne isn't just rick's love interest she's a protagonist in her own right and she's NEVER not once accepted less, even from him.
anyway, hope you don't think I'm being mean! I've just seen weird discourse about that scene that is so unnecessary. It simply wouldn't be a thing if people actually cared about michonne as a character, rather than just as one half of a ship.

Alright, they've lived in my brain too long; Time to air out my thoughts about the polyamory in BG3
To give a little context: I am currently ethically non-monogamous with my primary partner of almost 7 years. I am not a monolith of thought when it comes to polyamory/ENM/open relationships. These are my own personal thoughts and feelings. I've also completed the game with Astarion and Halsin romanced. Spoilers ahead, read at your own risk.
TL;DR - I don't share the current opinion of whether or not Astarion is okay with Tav pursuing Halsin and the discourse around his agency and choices in the relationship are bumming me out and frustrating me.
I am getting increasingly frustrated about the conversation about Astarion being polyamorous/okay with Tav being with Halsin in the game, primarily because I think a lot of the "think pieces" are coming from 1) monogamous people who have only ever been monogamous, 2) monogamous people who have been burned/cheated on/forced into polyamory by a partner (I feel for ya'll, that wasn't okay), 3) people who are very VERY protective of Astarion, and 4) people who are blatantly uncomfortable with polyamory. My goal is not to invalidate anyone's experiences, but to share an alternate perspective.
I do think that Astarion is not only okay, but happy with Tav dating Halsin. I glean this from how he responds to being poly with ANY OTHER companion. If you ask him to share with literally anyone else, he will say no and give his reason.
Gale: He doesn’t want to be in a love triangle (which with Gale, it would be).
Lae’zel: He’s uncomfortable and Lae’zel would kill him (also true).
Wyll: He knows Wyll is old fashioned and monogamous.
Karlach: He knows Karlach’s feelings for you are strong and he doesn’t want to stand in the way of that (he even says he’d be cool with an arrangement but knows Karlach will need all of your affection based on what she’s been through).
Shadowheart: He would be cool IF Shadowheart had more experience and ya’ll were together longer. But he knows Shadowheart is fragile in her current state.
Minthara: He REALLY doesn’t like this idea and will dump you immediately.
I did also see that ***SPOILER*** they updated or are updating some of the spawn Astarion language to have issues with your affair with Mizora should you pursue it, and it requires a persuasion/deception role to keep you two together.
Up to this point in your relationship with Astarion, he has become more comfortable voicing his opinions and concerns with you. He is learning to value his autonomy and his non-physical relationships. He will tell you when he doesn’t want to do something. In fact, he’ll break up with you over pushing his boundaries. He is fine with you pursuing the Drow twins and fine with you sleeping with Haarlep, even comforts you when Haarlep uses your form. So when he says he is okay with you pursuing Halsin, he means it. Yes, he voices his insecurity with you that you may be pursuing Halsin because you and he haven’t had sex in a while. But he acknowledges that Halsin has experience in this arrangement and doesn’t pose a threat to your relationship. Plus, if you kiss Halsin in front of him, he’ll say “don’t mind me, I’m just enjoying the show.”
To me, the idea that this is the ONE thing that Astarion doesn't have agency over in an arc of showing he can speak up for himself is you sleeping with Halsin is an idea that takes more agency from Astarion. He is a grown man. A 240 YEAR OLD man. That trauma he's endured does not mean he needs to be babied or coddled because he can't make his own choices. I think that's an unfair assumption to put on him that Halsin and Tav being together is the ONLY thing he can't enforce his boundaries on.
If he didn't want you to be with Halsin, he would say no like every other monogamous character in the game.
If you want a good example of someone saying yes just because they want to keep you, look at Karlach. You can tell she is HEARTBROKEN when you ask her, but she says “I don’t want to lose you”. That is not an enthusiastic participant in a polyamorous relationship. Astarion says “yeah, go for it! Just give me some reassurance”. Polyamory is not immune to insecurity. I've asked for reassurance in my own relationships and so has my primary partner. That’s not unenthusiastic. That’s realistic as shit. If you ask him about the relationship after you finish his questline, he doesn’t need reassurance because you’re having sex again. That’s also super realistic.
Am I sensitive to this as someone who practices ENM? Almost certainly. It's hard to see a lifestyle I live be villainized and claimed to be "forced" onto characters. I was actually really excited that I could pursue both Astarion and Halsin, and that Halsin places so much importance on consent and not misleading your partner. And it sucks SOO much to see one of my favorite characters be reduced to "oh, he's only doing it because he's afraid to lose Tav." It makes me almost feel bad for liking the interactions between them and enjoying to option. Do I think people mean to make me or other poly people feel bad? No.
But it does.
Headcanons are headcanons. I get it. People are absolutely allowed to interpret the poly aspect of BG3 how they want to. People are allowed to feel uncomfy with how it's portrayed and not pursue it. But it still bums a queer ENM Astarion and Halsin lover out.
Now excuse me whilst I live out my Astarion x Halsin x Tav polycule fantasies in the form of fanfiction.

Don't want to put this on the post itself for risk of derailing it, but that post the other day about Terry Pratchett's early work really stuck in my mind. OP had sent in an ask saying that they heard some of Pratchett's earlier works had problematic elements (not unusual for a male english writer in the 80s) and they weren't sure whether to go ahead with reading the work anyway.
What I really want to ask that person, or indeed all persons who are hesitating over whether or not to read problematic works or works by imperfect authors:
What are you worried about happening, if you read a work with problematic elements?
I'm worried that if I read this art, I will run across hateful images or words that will shock or upset me
I'm worried that I will spend money on a work of art that then financially supports a bad person, and that thought makes me uncomfortable or upset
I'm worried that I will read works of art written by a bad person, and comment or react on them, and other people will see what I am reading and will think less of me because of it, or will assume that I hold the same bad beliefs as the author
I'm worried that I will read works of art written by a bad person, and I will enjoy them, and the author will find out about my enjoyment and feel emboldened to do bad things because of it
I'm worried that I will read works of art written by a bad person, and their badness will contaminate my way of thinking and make me a worse person in turn
Because these are all different answers and some of them are more actionable than others

LEVI ACKERMAN ;
summary: injured reader, levi thinks back to her confessing her love. levi being levi. angst, might do a part II if people tell me to.
tagging: @i-literally-cant-with-this because you asked bbygirl.
“why can’t we have both?” your words play over and over in levi’s mind. he’s been pacing outside your door for what feels like hours but realistically has probably been only 20 minutes. how could you be so foolish? he thinks. you and your reckless behavior, always trying to barge into danger to save somebody else.
but than again, that was why he respected you so much. levi couldn’t deny it, he had always admired you for it. it was one of the things that had drawn him to you. you were reckless, yes. you were careless, and you were always risking your own life to save someone else. but it was also what made you so brave, so strong, so resilient and so god damn dedicated.
it was also the reason he couldn’t seem to get you out of his head. it was annoying really, like a tiny little bug ringing in his ear that no matter how much he tried he couldn’t seem to squash. it didn’t help that you were so god damn easy on the eyes, he’d even catch his gaze lingering on you for just a half a second more than needed. and that irritated him, it irritated him how much he let you crawl under his skin, and into his heart so guarded from all the loss he’d had in his lifetime.
but that didn’t matter. he had a mission and he wasn’t going to let some tiny little feeling get in the way. that’s why he’d rejected you, rejected the one thing he felt was a constant in this shitty war against the titans. and now as he paces outside your door he can’t help but let those words ring back through his head. “why can’t we have both?”
——
“what did you say?” levi says, looking up at you. you and levi were in his office doing paperwork, it had become a habit. at first it was just because you were faster than anyone else and he needed the help; but over time he came to look forward to seeing you sitting there across his desk. the silent rustling of papers, the warm glow of candlelight, the way your forehead crinkled when you were deep in focus, it was something he found himself looking forward to.
“i said, i love you," you repeat softly, your voice trembling slightly as you meet levi’s intense gaze. "we have something here, don't we?" your heartbeat picks up as you wait for his response, hammering against your chest.
levi takes a deep breath, running a hand through his hair. he looks down at the papers scattered across his desk before finally meeting your eyes once more.
your heart sinks, and before he can respond you speak again. "i mean, you care about me right? i can feel it…i don’t want to pretend anymore.” you murmur. it was like this unspoken thing between you, he never really let anyone in, never let anyone close enough. but with you, he had. he’d let you crack away at his walls until you were the one person he actually wanted to be around. the person he’d gone out of his way countless times to keep in his life.
“i tolerate you, yes. but it doesn’t matter how i feel.” levi says after an uncomfortably long silence. “i don’t have time for romance. i am devoted to protecting humanity, we’re at war.”
“i know that levi, but…” you pause, trying to find the right words. “why can’t we have both?” you meet his eyes, an almost pleading look in your own. “romance and our devotion to protecting humanity.”
there's something about the way you look at him, the way you say his name, that makes him question everything he thought he knew about himself. but he has to shut you down, he knows he is being harsh, but he needs to focus on the mission, focus on the greater good. he can’t let himself be selfish, he doesn’t have it in him.
"we can't have both, no matter how we feel," levi replies firmly, trying to sound more confident than he feels. "our lives are too dangerous, too unpredictable. we can't risk attachment, they only slow us down in the end. i’m sorry.”
——
“she’s still not awake” hange’s words snap levi out of his thoughts. “she’s still breathing, but she got pretty roughed up.”
“oh, it’s good she’s still breathing than.” levi says, his voice as flat as ever, not betraying his inner worry. but hange knows better than that, knows that little crinkle in his brow is an indication of his true inner thoughts.
“i have to go check on something with erwin, i’ll leave you to it.” hange places a hand on levi’s shoulder for a fraction of a second before she disappears down the hall.
he slowly opens the door, taking a deep breath as his eyes are drawn to your still form. his eyes scroll over the bruises marring your pretty face, and without even realizing it his heart clenches in his chest.
he takes in every little detail of your face. he can remember your eyes, so kind and beautiful; the way they lit up every time you laughed at his ridiculous sense of humor. he can remember the way you scrunch up your nose when you think he’s said something crude. and as he does so memories of your time together start to flood back. how kind and patient you are, how fiercely loyal and protective. how you never judge him for his demeanor, and how in that stupid little confession, you love him despite it.
as he sits next to your bed, he can't shake the memory of your words echoing in his mind - "why can't we have both?"
“you’re an idiot you know?” he says softly, unaware of the fact he’s speaking his thoughts aloud. “or maybe i’m the idiot.” he admits. “i’m not the greatest at all this emotional shit. but maybe i was wrong,” he finally admits and he reaches out tentatively, brushing a bloody lock of hair away from your face. his fingers linger for a moment longer than necessary before retracting them away.
“maybe we can have both.” he takes a deep breath “i can’t promise anything, but hell, we can try.” and for the first time in forever, levi feels something other than duty and responsibility weighing on his heart - and it scares him more than any titan ever could.
“you just have to wake up y/n…please.”

Co-parenting (Part 1)
Pairing: Carlos Sainz x ex wife!reader
Warnings: Carlos being a bitch, fighting and maybe other things.
Summary: Co-parenting is never easy but y/n never though it would be so hard.
Next Chapter
Tumblr media
Carlos and I got divorced 2 years ago, and currently, we share custody of our daughter, which means I have her since Carlos travels a lot due to racing, so every weekend he’s free, he comes and picks up Maeve.
But this time I had a very unpleasant surprise.
Being famous, I was always aware of what was happening with Carlos, even if I didn’t want to, and a few months ago, rumors came out that he was with some model, and when we separated, we made an agreement that any person who entered romantically into our lives, we would introduce to each other before involving that person in our daughter’s life.
But it seems Carlos had a problem when it comes to him.
I crossed my arms watching Carlos and the model girlfriend get out of the car and come towards my door, besides not notifying me about it, he simply brought her along without any prior discussion or approval.
The doorbell rang, and I walked to the front door, and there were Carlos and Rebecca, both trying to look welcoming and unconcerned.
“Hi, Y/n,” Carlos said, smiling. “How are you?”
“What is this?” I asked, pointing to the two of them.
“What do you mean?”
“You demand an agreement, and when it comes to you, you simply ignore it.” He took a deep breath.
“I know, but we’ve been dating for a while, and I thought it was time for you to meet her.”
“Meet her?” Y/n’s voice trembled with frustration. “You can’t make this decision alone, Carlos. We are her parents, and this should be a decision we make together, not something you just think is a good idea and ignore the fact that I am her mother.”
Rebecca stepped forward, with a gentle voice.
“Y/n, I really just want to get to know her. I’m not trying to replace you.”
And my frustration only intensified.
“It’s not about replacing me. It’s about us making decisions together for our daughter, and that doesn’t involve you being here.” Carlos sighed, running his hand through his hair.
“Look, it wasn’t our intention to make you uncomfortable. Let’s talk about this, okay?”
“Oh, so now you want to talk?”
“Can you stop being so difficult? She’s my daughter too.”
“Then start acting like a father instead of going around kissing models in clubs and then bringing them to my doorstep.”
“I am a father when I can be because my life is very busy, and you knew that when we had her.” He says arms crossed. “Maybe you should stop being a terrible mother making me lose the little time I have with my daughter, and then we talk about it.”
“Carlos.” Rebecca speaks as he finishes.
“You know what, if anyone here is a terrible parent, it’s you who prefers to spend your weekends in a car racing in circles and risking leaving your daughter without a father. I’m here every day doing the best I can to take care of her, but apparently, that makes me a terrible mother, so I’ll call her and you do whatever you want since it’s always been like this.”
I enter the house holding back my tears and go call her, she was so excited to see her dad that she didn’t even notice the tension between us, and I thanked god for that.
He tried to talk to me before leaving, but I just said goodbye to Maeve and closed the door, but I couldn’t help but notice that Rebecca wasn’t there anymore.
Hours passed and when the end of the day came, I heard the noise of his car, so I went to the door, and when I opened it, she came running.
“Mom, look.” She said showing me a bag full of things. “I’ll show you everything after I take a shower and have dinner.”
“Okay, my love, go ahead.” She smiles, says goodbye to him, and goes to her room.
“Can we talk?”
“No, I don’t want to talk to you.” I tried to close the door, but he held it. “You’ve already said what you think of me, and I’ve already said what I think of you; I don’t think we have anything else to say.”
“What I said is not what I really think.”
“In fact, it is, at least part of you thinks that way, and I’m not going to take back what I said about you because I think that way. I know it’s your career, but I won’t admit that you break our rule, tell me I’m a terrible mother, and then come back wanting to apologize.” He doesn’t say anything. “You don’t know how hard it is to see the guy you loved more than anything with someone else, but especially to see the father of your daughter say that you’re a terrible mother even though I work really hard to give her the best life I can.”
“I’m sorry.”
“That won’t fix things this time, Carlos.” I say looking into his eyes. “You don’t do anything to make my life easier; you show up, do your fatherly duty for a weekend while I stay here dealing with everything else. I don’t have the option of having only the easy parts of having a child. I have to deal with the pressure of being a single mother, having to hide from her every time I need to cry because I can’t take it anymore doing this alone, or having to leave her with my parents because I can’t even get out of bed to take care of her while you’re out there sticking your tongue down supermodels’ throats.”
“I didn’t know you felt this way.”
“And how would you know? You’re never here.” He doesn’t say anything. “I don’t need anything from you, not anymore. The time when I needed you here has passed, and I hope it never comes back.”
“Is everything okay, mommy?” Maeve asks appearing on the stairs, having taken a shower and wearing pajamas.
“Yes, my love, what do you want to eat?” I say wiping my tears.
“I want nuggets with veggies.”
“Okay, so let’s make them.”
“Are you going to have dinner here, daddy?”
“No, my love, I have to go, but I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?”
“But don’t you have to go travel?”
“I do, but not now.”
“Okay.” She goes to him and then comes back to the table. “I’ll really come to pick her up tomorrow if that’s okay with you.”
“Okay.”
“Bye.” He leaves, and I lock everything.
“Mommy, where are you?” She screams from the kitchen.
“I’m coming baby.”

Pairing: Bradley ‘Rooster’ Bradshaw X Fem!Reader
Summary: You’ve had Rooster’s eye since he first met you, the only problem? You were in a relationship. But when you come to the Hard Deck newly single, looking to have a good time, your ex reappears. Things get heated, what’s a man to do other than shoot his shot (and maybe throw a few punches)?
Warnings: swearing, cheating (not from our main characters), confrontation about cheating, physical fights (it is a bar fight after all), reader is a quippy little shit. Lmk if I missed anything.
Word Count: 5.5k
A/N: hey all! Welcome to my second ever Rooster oneshot and my entry for @roosterforme’s Rocktober event! This piece is inspired by Van Halen’s Jump and is my excuse to write a bar fight.
===
Friday nights out with Mason sucked. Well, the drinks were always good at the Hard Deck, the other Navy men who frequented on Fridays were very pleasing to look at, the only shitty thing was, well, Mason. He would ditch you multiple times throughout the night, spending hours chatting with people he saw at work all day while you sat awkwardly in your seat people-watching.
Needless to say, you didn’t like those Friday nights very much. The nights where it was just the two of you were wonderful; you had his undivided attention and it was just easy. Your boyfriend would be all over you, smothering you with affection and it was so unlike the pilot you had come to know.
Mason just became a completely different person when he went out to the Navy bars with you. Maybe it was your fault, you weren’t really the kind of person who liked going out, so you couldn’t really blame him if he ditched you.
That was reasonable right?
Those were your thoughts as you sat at the bar, sipping on your water watching Mason and his group of friends chat with a group of girls. “You doing okay?” A voice next to you asked.
You turned, catching sight of what was probably the prettiest man you’d ever seen. Tall with tan skin just the right side of sunburnt, his whiskey coloured eyes were watching you over a pair of aviators perched on the edge of his nose. You swallowed, watching as his biceps moved, straining against the white and yellow printed Hawaiian shirt. “Yeah,” you croaked out, wincing at the sound. “Uh, yes. I’m alright, thanks.”
He smiled at you, his mustache crinkling just a little and you had to take a sip of your drink to try and keep your composure. “Glad to hear it. I’m Bradley, most people around here call me Rooster though.”
“Good to meet you, Bradley,” you replied, smiling back at him. You introduced yourself and couldn’t help but grin when he repeated your name back to you, loving the way it rolled off his tongue.
“Are you here with anyone?”
You nodded, smiling sadly. “I am. My boyfriend is over- well he was over there. I don’t know where he went,” you said after a minute. “But I don’t mind a little conversation.”
Bradley grinned. “Glad to hear it. So, at the risk of sounding like a sleaze, you come here often?” You could hear the humour in his tone and it made you laugh.
“I do, but it’s really not my scene.”
“Not a fan of the Navy?”
You shook your head. “That’s not it, my boyfriend is a pilot for the Navy. I’m just not really one for crowds,” you admitted. Your job as a nurse brought you close to a lot of people and sometimes, all you wanted was just to cuddle up on the couch with Mason and watch a movie. However, your boyfriend was much more of a social butterfly than you were and you often went along with what he wanted for the sake of not arguing.
But Friday nights were ‘for the boys’ so you often got dragged along to the bar whether or not you wanted to go.
“Did you want to step outside? I’d hate for my gorgeous but taken conversation partner to be uncomfortable,” Bradley said, shooting you a sly wink that had warmth blooming in your cheeks.
“Does that line often work for you?” You teased, enjoying how his blush grew.
He took a swig of his beer, rolling the bottle between his palms on the bar top before replying. “Wasn’t a line, sweetheart. You’re taken, but I can’t understand how he could so easily leave someone like you sitting all alone.”
You had to bite your lip to stifle the grin that threatened to grow larger the longer you sat chatting with Bradley. A reply was half way out of your mouth when a hand gripped your arm and you heard Mason’s voice next to your head. “Piss off Bradshaw, she’s taken.”
“Maso-” you started, but Bradley took a step back from you. You hadn’t noticed how close the two of you had been, practically sharing the same breath, but now, it was like someone had doused you with ice cold water. “We were just-”
“I don’t care,” your boyfriend growled. “Stay the fuck away from him.”
“Why?” You demanded. “You fucking ditch me at the bar YOU wanted to go to and expect me to not talk to anyone? Do you have any idea what that’s like?”
“Cannon…” Bradley muttered. “Of fucking course.”
Mason turned to look at you and you had never seen this kind of look in his eyes before. He looked dangerous, a wildness seemed to have taken over his entire being and you were scared. “Don’t embarrass me,” he hissed softly, his grip tightening around your arm.
Bradley must have seen the look of shock in your eyes because he stepped in. “Cannon, man, we were just talking. Let her go.”
Your arm was released and you finally took notice of his dishevelled appearance, a stone plunging your stomach down, down, down. You had known. Smelt the perfume that was not yours, you never wore it because Mason had claimed it gave him a headache. You had turned a blind eye to the random scratches, the strange bruises, even the lipstick on his shirts. You had willingly chosen to push your doubts aside for the sake of living the same boring life you had lived for the better part of two years.
But not anymore.
Pushing your doubt down, you let him lead you out of the bar, making the short trip to your car. You drove in a stony silence, ignoring every criticism Mason threw your way. But you said nothing, at this moment, you weren’t his girlfriend but his DD, and you thought long and hard about what you wanted from your life. If you were honest with yourself, it wasn’t Mason.
You wanted the simple life you had before he’d stumbled into your life with all the grace of a drunk elephant, a fairly apt description for Mason as a person.
He had made it fucking transparent that the last two years were a waste of your time. Mason’s friend, Max or Nuke as he was known to your boyfriend, lived a few blocks away from the bar, it was his house where you dropped him off, all but pushing him out of the car. “Don’t call me,” you snapped, watching his face go from confused to angry. “We’re done. I’m bringing your shit here tomorrow.”
The drive back to your place was strangely quiet. No drunk ranting, no criticising your shyness in the bar, none of that. It was like you pulled the bag off your head, unknowing that it was suffocating you and now you were finally breathing fresh air again. You thought back to Bradley, his strong arms, the ease with which he’d carried himself and the pink hue of his cheeks when you’d teased him back.
He was different.
And maybe you deserved different, but maybe that was your newly-single brain getting ahead of itself. All you knew is that your heart felt lighter as you climbed the stairs to your apartment, it was freeing and constricting all at once.
Inside, you ignored your phone buzzing incessantly. You plugged your phone in, ignoring the flash of angry messages that appeared as quickly as you could blink. You groaned, watching as Mason’s name popped up on your phone, this time calling you, but it disappeared just as fast, clearly he hadn’t meant to call you. It took less than 10 seconds for you to power your phone off, the screen going black as your eyes finally gained a reprieve from the onslaught of angry, hateful messages directed at you.
Mason could sober up before you had any type of conversation with him, not that you would be doing so for a long time, but still. He ran a short fuse, blowing up so quickly over the smallest things. You figured you were saving yourself the headache of not engaging, so you began to grab his things, throwing them in a pile in the living room.
Somewhere between cleaning out his clothes and throwing his knick knacks into the living room, you felt a tear run down your cheek. “He doesn’t deserve these tears,” you muttered angrily, swiping them away. “He didn’t deserve you.”
===
A few months later, you let your friend and coworker bully you into going out with her. You had often told Blair about your people watching at the Navy Bar and it had only taken one mention of it from you and she had been obsessed with the idea.
Now that you were single, for a whole three months, as Blair had ever so helpfully pointed out, she had decided that it was time for you to get back out there.
So here she was standing in your bedroom, clothing scattered around her as she pulled shirt after dress out of your closet. “Why have I never seen any of these before?! This shirt would look so hot on you!”
Shaking your head, you had to say that you didn’t know. “I just never felt comfortable wearing it around Mason’s friends and-”
“And you two never went out without at least one of his douchey friends.” Blair finished for you, giving you a look. “I swear, hon, his cock must have been huge for you to put up with his BS for as long as you did.”
You snorted. “That’s the sad part…”
“No! He was a fuckhead who cheated, a selfish bastard, and he had a micropeen?!” Blair exclaimed, whirling around to look at you. “Why were you with him to begin with? And don’t say that he was different when you first met. Mason wasn’t smart enough to hide all of that.”
The room was silent for a beat before the both of you burst into laughter. “I don’t even know why I said yes when he asked me out!”
“Girl! Me neither!”
You’d doubled over, clutching at your stomach as you laughed. It had morphed into a cackle of a sound, filling the room with raucous noise that had Blair laughing harder.
Tears streamed down your faces as you both tried your hardest to calm your breathing. “Here,” Blair said breathlessly. “Wear this.” She threw a pair of tight, high waisted blue denim shorts at you, a pair that you had bought once and quickly forgot about. Which was a shame, because these shorts in particular had two star-shaped cutouts filled in with red fabric on the ass.
You paled a little, thinking about what would happen if Mason had seen these shorts. “You broke up with him,” the little voice in your head chided. “Who gives a shit what Mason would’ve thought. You’d look hot.” So you grabbed them and a black tank top, changing quickly before Blair wrangled you into getting your makeup done.
The little voice in your head had been right, you did look hot. You could feel eyes on you from the moment you and Blair walked into the Hard Deck and while you wanted to run and hide, the thought of proving Mason wrong kept you motivated to at least have some semblance of fun. And that’s exactly what you did. You found yourself chatting up at the bar with another aviator who’d introduced himself as Fanboy. “You look familiar,” he’d said when he came up to the bar to buy another round for his group in the back of the room.
“She used to come here with her ex-boyfriend,” Blair chimed in, shooting you a wink before she slipped away to join the crowd around what looked like an intense darts game.
Fanboy - Mickey - had paused a little at her words before turning back to you. He’d asked you about your job, seeming very interested when you took the time to explain what you did. It was one of the best conversations you’d had in a while, both parties very interested in what the other had to say.
You didn’t know how long you’d been chatting when a dark haired woman in jeans and a plain t-shirt appeared by Mickey’s side. “So this is where our drinks went,” she teased, watching you both flush. “Why don’t you invite her over to the table, that way Jake stops whining about a pretty redhead picking Javy over him.”
He turned back to you. “Did you want to come hang with the rest of the group?” You must have hesitated because he quickly backtracked. “Or I can go run these over to them and I’ll come back.”
“No, it’s fine. Lead the way,” you told him, grabbing your drink. “Who picked this song?” You mumbled under your breath, wrinkling your nose at the Motley Crüe song blaring out of the juke box set against the side of the bar.
The woman snorted. “That would be Jake. Tall, blonde, dumb as he is tall. I’m sure you know the type.”
Biting back a laugh, you nodded. “Though if he’s a pilot like most of the people here, he can’t be that dumb.”
“Only when it comes to emotions.”
Ahh. One of those. You wove through the crowd, dodging groups of college aged girls all trying their hand at snaring a Navy man for a night.
Mickey stopped, dropping the drinks on a table nearby. “Finally! What took you so long, Nerd-Boy?” A tall Black man chided teasingly.
“Shut it, Lay-Back,” Mickey quipped back and you had to bite your cheek to hide your laugh at the banter that erupted on your arrival. “I was preoccupied.”
The woman behind you snagged a beer and flopped onto a stool near the edge of the pool table. “Guys come on. If you keep this up, he’ll never be post-occupied.”
“Nix c’mon!”
“That was awful.”
You watched their joking with interest, keen on figuring out their dynamic. No one seemed to act better than anyone else, namely the pilots who you learned were Phoenix, Payback, Coyote (or Javy to Blair who was leaning against his chest), and then Hangman AKA the ‘dumb as he is tall’ Jake. It was refreshing to see a group of people who had the same job as Nathan and his asshole friends, but who were the most welcoming people you’d met in a while.
“So,” Payback said, turning the conversation away from that morning’s hop. “What possessed you to follow Fanboy of all people?”
You swallowed harshly, feeling their attention turn to you. “He actually asked me questions about myself rather than try and slide into my shorts for a night.”
A few “ooohs” rose out of the crowd, the pilots around you chuckling at how quickly you’d lambasted Payback for his bad question. You just shrugged and took a sip of your drink, ignoring the little whoop Blair had let out.
“Well, well, well,” Jake suddenly said, smirking at something behind you. “Looks like Birdbrain finally decided to grace us with his presence.”
You turned and nearly gasped. The man behind you gave you a crooked smile before replying. “I was a little busy.”
“Rooster,” you breathed, finding yourself suddenly very shy. He looked the same as he did the night you had met, maybe better because now you were single, but regardless. “Hi.”
“Hey.” He was watching you closely, brown eyes flicking back and forth over you as you averted your eyes. “Haven’t seen you around lately. Everything okay?”
You nodded, meeting his eyes and promptly feeling your face turn a brilliant red under his gaze. “Yeah uh… I’ve been busy at work.”
Bradley moved to stand beside you, grabbing the lone bottle on the counter and taking a swig. “You’re a nurse, right? Long shifts?”
“Something like that,” you mumbled, narrowing your eyes at Blair who was making a kissy face in your direction. “Just had a lot on my mind lately, plus crowds…”
“...aren’t your thing,” he finished for you, laughing at your reaction to the woman under Javy’s arm.
Your eyes shot up to meet his, your mouth falling agape at his words. “You remembered.”
“That I did, sweetheart.”
A flush spread up your neck. Somehow it had been easier to flirt when you weren’t single and now you felt like a goldfish that someone had plucked out of the water. Completely out of your element and you felt like dying at your uncertainty. “Lucky me,” you breathed, sipping your drink. “A man like you remembering little ole me? That never happens.”
“How could I not, sweetheart?” The grin on Bradley’s face sent butterflies racing through your stomach, the charm just radiating off of him. “You made quite the impression.”
You gave him a flat look. “My social awkwardness was enough to catch your eye? Nice try, Bradley, but I’m not buying it,” you replied teasingly, watching his eyes light up. “That poor attempt at a line doesn’t work on me anyways.”
“Who said it was a line?”
A loud smacking noise had you and Bradley jolting away from one another, suddenly becoming aware of the fact that there were other people in the room besides the two of you. “Finally!” Phoenix said, rolling her eyes. “There are other people here besides you two, ya know.”
“Sorry…”
“Sorry Nix. Couldn’t help myself,” Bradley said, sheepishly. A hand came up to tuck his sunglasses in the collar of his shirt and you couldn’t help but smile. He hadn’t changed from your memory. Still kind, still handsome as all hell, still dressed in a loud Hawaiian shirt. This one had white and orangey coloured flowers against a creamy light yellow fabric. But it was him and you hadn’t been able to stop thinking about him since you’d met.
Despite that, you let yourself get dragged into a game of pool, pairing up with Phoenix against Bob and Mickey. You hadn’t played in a long time, so you weren’t great, but everyone else was sort of around your skill level so it wound up being more fun than you’d thought. “Okay, so after that show of mediocrity, anything will look good,” Hangman said loudly, clapping his hands and snatching a pool cue off the wall.
“Just means that we set the average. If you lose, you’ll land among us,” you snarked back, grinning widely at him. “No pressure.”
A hand on your lower back startled you and you spun around only to come face to chest with Bradley’s sunglasses. “Hear that? You got a lot riding on this one, Bagman,” he jeered over your head, shooting you a wink after. “You wanna take him on with me?”
“I’m not…”
“It’s just for fun, sweetheart. No pressure at all.”
“Sure. Why not?”
And you were off. Round and round the table you went, watching Jake and Bradley duke it out over the velvety table. But when it finally came time for your turn, you had to lean over the table far more than you had initially wanted, giving the pilots and Bradley behind you a good look at your ass in those shorts. You could feel his gaze on the red stars neatly framing your hips in the colour, and you preened a little.
A solid hit with your cue, you stood up, watching the white ball shoot towards a purpley coloured one and send it careening into the pocket. “Yes!” you whooped, jumping up in your excitement, bumping into Bradley behind you. “Oops.”
“All good sweetheart. No harm done,” the lazy smile on his face had your knees buckling and you quickly grabbed the pool table, using it to steady yourself. “Besides, I’m tougher than I look.”
You laughed, the sound mixing with the general din of the bar and you watched as Bradley’s eyes filled with the same mirth that was bubbling inside of you. “Self-burns are rare to witness,” you teased, grinning wider at the look that skittered across his face.
“I walked right into that, didn’t I?”
“Yup.”
He groaned jokingly, his lips twisting into a devilish smile that sent heat racing down your spine to pool between your thighs. “Damn it. I was hoping to play it cool.”
You opened your mouth to reply, but shut it quickly when Jake started complaining about the pair of you taking too long and Bradley stepped up to play his turn. You watched the two of them keep at it, playing as though neither you nor Mickey were there. “I’m going to grab another drink, did you want anything?” you asked, setting your cue against the wall.
“Nah, I’m good. Before you go, I’m guessing you’re more into him than me?” Mickey saw the surprise cascade over your face. “It’s okay! I just want to know if I should get my hopes up.”
“I’m sorry Mickey, that really wasn’t fair to you at all,” you apologized. “I do have another friend that I think would be perfect for you, but I am sorry for wasting your night.”
“Hey. It’s fine. Seriously,” he added when catching your unconvinced look. “I still won. Rooster finally shut up about the pretty girl he met a while back that was dating this douche we have to work with. You did us all a favour.” Mickey gave you a kind smile, before turning back to the game and leaving you standing in shock at how calmly he’d handled the rejection.
But you didn’t dwell on it long. You needed another drink; the first one long gone by now. Penny had just handed it over when a voice from behind you caused the hairs on the back of your neck to stand on end. “So this is where I find you, you fucking cunt.”
Only one voice sounded like that and it belonged to your ex.
Fucking Mason.
You groaned, turning around with your new drink in hand. “Can I help you?” A few of the people next to you, two men and a woman dressed in civvies, dropped their own conversation, listening intently on the drama that was sure to unfold. “I was fairly certain I told you not to contact me in any way.”
“You fucking abandoned me at Nuke’s place! Didn’t even have the courtesy to call him!” Mason growled, stepping closer to you. “I had to explain what happened like a fucking loser!” You could smell the alcohol on him. He reeked of it, his sweater wafting vodka-flavoured fumes in your direction each time he moved. Biting your tongue, you shifted in place, keeping your body close to the bar and watching for Nuke or another of Mason’s cronies to make an appearance.
Normally by now, you’d be trying to placate him, telling him not to make a scene and to lower his tone. Tonight however, you couldn’t find it within you to care. If he yelled and threw a tantrum, that was on him, not you. “How is any of that my problem, Mason? You cheated, and had been doing so for months as I later learned. You literally fucked around and found out.”
Mason’s face turned a shade of purple you’d never seen before. There was madness in his eyes and you finally learned why they had called him ‘Cannon’. He was unstable, quick to anger, and once set off, nothing could be taken back. “How can you be so unaffected?! I was the best thing that ever happened to you! No one loved you. If it weren’t for me, you’d still be the same ugly bitch I met two years ago.”
“That’s where you’re wrong, Mason,” you told him calmly. You had no idea if the whole bar had gone quiet; all you could hear was your frantic heartbeat thrumming like a butterfly’s wings. “You were a stepping stone to who I really am. If I meant so little to you, then why not love me and leave me like you did to all those girls you had in between?”
You paused, drawing in a sharp breath and trying to ground yourself in the moment. Trying to force yourself to pause, to centre yourself. “I’ll tell you why. It was never me who needed you. You needed me.” Taking a step forwards, you forced your eyes to meet his own, taking stock of the wildness that raged unhindered in the deep blue of his irises. “Your game wasn’t fun unless I had no idea. You needed me to make you feel good about yourself. By all means, live in your delusion, but let’s not kid ourselves and say that this break up was my fault.”
Mason let out an unintelligible noise, his hand flying out and slapping you. The sound echoed through the room, snapping your head to the side. “You whore!”
It took you not even ten seconds to right yourself and punch him back, your fist slamming into his nose with a sickening crunch. Blood stained your knuckles and you watched his face contort in pain as his nose began to bleed and he let out a shout of pain. “If anyone’s the whore it’s you, Mason. You got laid more times by women other than me so often your body count is higher than a fucking motel bed.”
He lunged for you, anger staining his face a brilliant scarlet that matched your shorts, but was blocked by one of the men who had been standing next to you. Mason’s fist thudded against this man’s arm, shock evident on his face.
A few seconds passed. No one moved. Mason was still held by this other man, who was both taller and wider than him. You stood against the bar watching it all slowly tick down. “5, 4, 3,” you thought to yourself, noticing how some of the men in the room looked twitchy. “2, 1.”
Just as the opening notes of Van Halen’s Jump blared through the jukebox, the man holding Mason swung, clipping him in the jaw and sending him sprawling back into another man, who spilled his drink all over himself. He whirled around, shoving your ex away and yelling at him.
Shouts erupted, fists began flying as the bar dissolved into complete chaos as small fights broke out. People jumped out of the way and you heard a few glasses smash against the floor. You heard Jake’s loud “What the fuck?!” over the din as he waded through the fight, dodging a rogue fist that went for his stomach.
The Navy personnel were trying to stay out of it. The Daggers at the back were standing in barely concealed shock as a girl shrieked like a banshee and came running at you. She grabbed your hair, yanking you away from the bar with a surprisingly strong grip. “Fuck you!” You yelled as you kicked a leg out to trip her.
She fell, hauling you to the ground with her. You landed on top of her, prying your hair from her fist, feeling some strands get ripped out as you tried to stand up. Wrenching yourself from her grasp, you backed up, tucking yourself against the bar once again. You saw Mason get shoved back from a group of men, his hands coming up to swing at his attacker, but fail and get punched in the face for his trouble.
Rooster saw the red flash of your shorts through a hole in the crowd and immediately pushed his way through the people, ignoring Phoenix’s hand trying to hold him back. He couldn’t see you anymore; he saw Cannon swinging wildly nearby and his heart sank, praying that it wasn’t you.
It wasn’t. Thankfully.
His focus was diverted when a punch went wide, slamming into his mid-back and making him stumble forwards a step. Bradley whirled around, glowering at the man, a young pilot on base, until he raised his hands in surrender. “Go home,” he snapped, watching the younger man blink in what looked like fear before backing up against the wall and staying out of the way.
Bradley pushed his way over to where he last saw you, but found nothing. You had vanished and the bodies thudding into one another, smashing glasses, and shouts did nothing to help him find you. He was tall enough to see over most of the crowd, but unfortunately it gave him no advantage in trying to find you. Half the girls in the bar were dressed like you and unless he could see your face or your ass, he would come up empty every time.
“Get the fuck off of me!” You screeched loudly, slamming your hand against a man’s throat when he groped you. He started wheezing, anger in his eyes as he tried to catch his breath, still advancing on you all the while.
A hand grabbed the man’s shoulder and you caught a glimpse of Rooster’s mustached face over his shoulder. “Get lost.”
The man in front of you turned around, eyes widening a little when he saw Bradley behind him. “I was just-”
“I don’t care what you were doing.” The chill in Rooster’s voice sent shivers down your spine and you could see that the man in front of you was scared shitless. “She told you to fuck off.”
Under Bradley’s firm gaze, the other man ducked his head and hurried off into the crowd, tossing a half-hearted apology your way. “What the fuck happened?”
You opened your mouth to reply but quickly shut it having seen Mason run up behind him, a beer glass in hand. “Behind you!”
He turned quickly, catching a glimpse of Mason who froze in his tracks. You couldn’t see what happened next, but you did see Bradley’s head snap to the side and next thing you knew Mason hit the floor with a crash. “Fucking coward. Starting a bar fight because you cheated on your girlfriend and she called you out.”
He crouched down, mouth close to Mason’s face and hissed out “You’re fucking lucky that there’s witnesses and that your ex-girlfriend is watching this whole thing, otherwise I’d make sure you looked as small as you made her feel.”
Unable to watch more of this, you stepped forwards, letting your hand fall on his shoulder. Bradley’s head turned, his eyes softening as he took you in. “He’s not worth it,” you mumbled, barely audible over the noise in the bar. “Let Penny ring the bell and let him get his ass beat tomorrow in training.”
Bradley stood, towering over Mason before kicking his leg and turning to pull you into his arms. “You okay?”
“Ish… my cheek hurts. Fucker got me good.” You cast a look over his face, smoothing your thumb over his jaw, prodding gently at the red mark that had started blooming from Mason’s fist. “Are you okay?”
“Fine now.” He brushed your concern off, a small smile beginning to form as he saw the concern in your eyes. Even after a bar fight that you had inadvertently started, you were still concerned for him. You had faced your ex head on and he’d laid his hands on you. Sure you’d hit him back, but he’d still drawn blood when your teeth had smacked against your lip.
But here you were, in his arms, asking him to follow your finger so you knew that he really was okay. Cannon hadn’t deserved you and Bradley had thought of no one but you since you’d agreed to chat with him that one night months ago.
“Sweetheart, I’m fine,” he finally said, catching your hand in his own. “Trust me. I wouldn’t lie to you.”
Your heart stuttered from its steady pace. The sincerity in his brown eyes gave you pause because you couldn’t believe that this man, another Navy pilot, could be so different from your ex. “I know,” you whispered. “But that doesn’t change the fact that I nearly had to call an ambulance because my fuckhead of an ex tried to knock you out.”
Bradley snorted, shaking his head at your scathing words. “I liked ‘fuckhead’ better than Cannon anyways.”
“Seriously? That’s what you took away from this?”
He shot you a lopsided grin, the end of his mustache tilting a little with the expression. “I’m pretty sure I got you in all of this, sweetheart. Best prize I ever won.”
“Who says you won me?” You shot back, trying to hide the smile that threatened to break free under the teasing look Bradley was giving you. You had found yourself doing that all night, every comment, each passing look you’d been given had filled you up with giddiness.
“I do, if you’ll have me, that is.” A hand brushed hair over your ear and you couldn’t contain the shiver that the gesture elicited. “If not, then I hope you let me try and win you over.”
You couldn’t hide the smile that erupted at his words. The bar fight continued in small pockets around the room, but right now with Bradley’s hand resting just above the swell of your ass as you curled into his side, you found a peace you didn’t know you needed.
Looking up, you pressed a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth. “All good things require a leap of faith, right?” He nodded, smiling down at you. “Might as well jump if you’re there to catch me.”

Tumblr media
⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️ This one-shot includes the topic of abusive parents. This plot is presented. If this triggers you too easily or you just can´t handle the subject, I urge you NOT to read this work. I am NOT embellishing this topic under any circumstance. Read at your own risk.
ᕚ---ᕘ
The bright sun shone through the large windows of the waiting room at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital as you paced nervously in the waiting room. The thought of the upcoming check-up with Dr. Addison Montgomery made your heart beat faster even though you repeated this year after year. Despite your fears, you knew it was important to get regular checkups, especially after you noticed some unusual symptoms.
When you were finally called, you followed the nurse through the corridors of the gynecological clinic until you finally stood in front of the door to the treatment room. Once inside, Dr. Montgomery greeted you with a warm smile. "Welcome back, y/n. How are you today?"
You forced a smile, concern for your health and life's obstacles overshadowing your usual demeanor. "Thanks, I'm feeling okay so far. I'm here for a checkup because I've noticed a few symptoms that are worrying me."
Addison nodded understandingly and asked you to take a seat. However, as she began to ask the usual questions, she immediately noticed that something was wrong. Your posture was stiff, your answers were short, and you seemed uncomfortable. Quite the opposite from the last times she had seen you. "Can you tell me about the symptoms you've been noticing lately?" She asked softly and you hesitated for a moment before answering. "Well, I have unusual pulling and pressure in my abdomen. I feel very tired in general but I think that's probably just normal."
The redhead frowned slightly as she began to do the examination. When she gestured with her hand to ask you to sit on the exam chair, you flinched and promptly avoided making eye contact with her. "I´m sorry..." you simply interjected and as you continued to sit on the chair, Addison felt an inexplicable restlessness arise within her.
She watched you carefully as she took swabs and checked to see what was going on. As she did so, she recognized subtle signs of fear and insecurity manifesting in your behavior that she had never seen in you before. It was as if there was something in the air, something unspoken, standing between them and demanding their attention. She could practically feel the tension surrounding you, and her instincts told her that there was more going on here than what seemed like a checkup.
After she had also completed an ultrasound on you, Addison sat down on the lounger next to you and quickly decided to ask carefully. "I want to be honest with you. I noticed some signs during the exams that could indicate something might be wrong. I think it might be helpful if you talked about it." She murmured questioningly, placing a soothing hand on your thigh, making you jump at the touch as well.
You looked at her in surprise, your eyes fixed on her with relief. But only hesitantly did you begin to talk about your concerns, which went far beyond the physical symptoms. "Promise you won't tell anyone?" The person you spoke to nodded at you, giving you time to express yourself. She sensed that there was more here than your body had yet revealed, and she wanted to give you the opportunity to open up when you were ready. "I'm your doctor, y/n. Everything you tell me is confidential."
You swallowed hard before finally finding the courage to say the words you had suppressed for so long. "It's my father," you began hesitantly and the gynecologist listened attentively without interrupting. "Since the pandemic and losing his job, he's... he's not exactly... friendly to me."
The reticence and fear had crumbled as you revealed the truth about your home situation to her. You confessed to the constant insults, humiliation and physical abuse you endured from your father and Addison continued to listen intently, offering you an empathetic embrace of comfort and support as you revealed the painful details of your abuse.
When you finished, an oppressive silence fell across the room. Addison felt the weight of your words on her own shoulders. She felt powerless in the face of the suffering you had to endure at such a young age, an inner anger boiling up towards your parents and at the same time a burning desire deep inside her to help you. "Thank you, y/n, for trusting me," she finally spoke in a quiet voice and rubbed your shoulder reassuringly. This time you didn't flinch. "What has been done to you and continues to happen to you is unacceptable and you deserve to be safe and protected. I will do everything in my power to help you get out of this situation."
The shock of what she had heard was deep within her, but she forced herself to remain calm and empathetic. Her first priority was to reassure you that you were safe and that she would help you. She hugged you gently and held you close to her, giving your tears a place to disappear. "Please believe me when I say that you are safe here," she began to speak to you calmly. "No one will hurt you in front of me and if it happens again, you come straight to me, okay?"
You lowered your gaze, tears glistening in your eyes as you let yourself fall into her embrace, feeling the instant warmth and comfort she offered you. For a moment you felt safe, surrounded by the care of this remarkable woman who was willing to stand up for you. “Thank you, Dr. Montgomery,” you whispered, your voice shaking. "It means so much to me to know I'm not alone."
Addison smiled softly and rubbed your back. "From now on it's Addison. I think we're past the formal part. And of course, I'll help you through the difficult times, and I'll be by your side as long as you need me."
At that moment, you knew you had made the right decision to reach out to her. You felt strengthened by her words and beneath all the vulnerability you showed there was also a spark of hope. Hope that you weren't alone, that there were people who cared about you and were ready to help you when you needed it. You felt relieved that you had confided in someone, and Addison promised to support you every step of the way, whether through further testing, therapy, or any other form of police or court help you needed.
As you left the office, you felt a little more confident with her personal phone number and address. Addison Montgomery, who promised to protect you if your father became abusive again and you needed a place to stay. You knew that from now on you were no longer alone but had found an ally in her in the fight against the darkness that surrounded you.
ᕚ---ᕘ
In the weeks that followed, Addison Montgomery and you developed a deep bond that went beyond the boundaries of an ordinary doctor-patient relationship. She had given you her personal address and phone number in case you ever had to run away from home and didn't know where to go. The gesture of care had touched you deeply and shown you that you were not just a patient, but now also had a friendship that you could rely on.
The conversations between the two of you became more and more open and intimate as you worked together to come up with a plan to get yourself out of the dangerous situation you found yourself in. And one Saturday morning, after you had escaped from your father's attacks and came to her, Addison offered to take you in and give you a safe haven, away from your parents' abuse and humiliation.
At first you were unsure whether you should accept the offer. The fear of the unknown, the worry of the consequences, and the fear of becoming too much for Addison held you back. But in the end, your trust, the hope for a better life and the love that she conveyed to you every day prevailed.
At midnight on that same warm spring night, you packed your few belongings and made your way to Addison's house. As you opened the door, a feeling of relief and freedom washed over you. The redhead welcomed you with open arms and a warm, loving smile that showed you that you were finally safe and that she would never let anything happen to you again.
Over the coming weeks and months, you began to settle into your new home, helping Addison with Henry while she was at work. Under her loving care, you slowly blossomed, gained self-confidence, and finally found the courage to leave your past behind you.
Addison supported you every step of the way in your healing, whether it was through therapeutic conversations, medical care, or just her unconditional love and support. Together you went through ups and downs, but you always stood by each other, determined to overcome the darkness together and step into the light of a better future. Your connection was strong, characterized by mutual respect, trust and love and you knew that you would be connected forever.

From Matt
Can we talk, please?
I'm sorry.
I’ve left him on opened for nearly 2 weeks now, skipping all of his lectures. I feel like shit. I mean this whole situation was ridiculous, no way did I actually believe my teacher was catching feelings for me.
Im laying in bed, my laptop propped up on my tummy whilst im eating popcorn, when I get an email notification, from the school board. Shit. I click on it.
Dear: Y/n L/n
Please consider this a letter of warning concerning your continuing attendance problems. Attendance records indicate that since 02/12/23, you have used a total of 13 days on leave.
This letter shall serve as a written warning, that if excessive sick leave usage continues, you will be placed of a medical certificate requirement. You may also risk facing permanent exclusion.
We would like to speak to you on 20/12/23 in class 1W 3.30 to discuss this further.
Thank you.
I need to get my shit together.
˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
The next day arrives, and I reluctantly make my way to the class, anxiety gnawing at me. The school board meeting is scheduled for today, and the thought of facing potential consequences weighs heavily on my mind.
Entering the classroom, I nervously scan the room, and to my surprise, Matt is here - just Matt.
"What are you doing here?" I ask, a hint of tension in my voice. "I need to be here. I am your teacher, aren't I?" he replies, his tone calm but with an undercurrent of concern.
The tension in the air is palpable, and I can't shake off the feeling that someone knows about my affair with Matt. The paranoia sets in, making every glance and whisper feel like a potential accusation.
The minutes tick by slowly and in silence, me and Matt sharing an occasional glance, and when the door opens, my heart skips a beat. Two figures enter the room - a stern-looking woman from the headboard and another person who turns out to be a representative from the school's administration. Panic sets in, and I can feel the colour draining from my face.
The stern woman from the headboard steps forward, her eyes fixed on me. "Y/n L/n, is it?" she questions, her tone authoritative.
I nod, my throat dry, unable to form words. Matt shifts uncomfortably beside me, his eyes darting between me and the approaching figures.
"We're here to discuss your attendance issues," the administrator states, flipping through some papers. "It has come to our attention that your frequent absences are jeopardizing your academic standing."
As they continue to speak, my mind races. Do they know about Matt? Is this about our affair? I try to maintain composure, avoiding eye contact with Matt.
"We understand that personal matters can affect attendance, but it's essential to find a balance," the stern woman adds.
I nod again, managing a weak response, "Yes, I understand."
They go on to suggest counselling and support services, and my mind starts to ease. Maybe this isn't about Matt. Perhaps they're genuinely concerned about my well-being.
However, as the meeting concludes, the stern woman fixes her gaze on me and says, "We hope to see an improvement, Ms. L/n. Remember, your education is crucial."
The relief is short-lived. As they leave the room, Matt leans towards me, his expression a mix of concern and confusion. "You okay?" he whispers.
"Mhm," I reply, trying to sound convincing, but doubt lingers in my voice.
"Are you sure?" he persists, scepticism in his eyes.
"Yep," I repeat, unsure whether I believe it myself.
In the aftermath of the meeting, Matt's concerned gaze follows me as we both exit the classroom. The weight of the unspoken truth hangs between us, making the air thick with tension. I can't bring myself to meet his eyes, fearing that he might see the panic and uncertainty that lingers in mine.
"Hey," he speaks up. I turn my head to look at Matt, who nods, motioning to the left. He grabs my hand, pulling me through an archway and behind a secluded column.
"What's up with you, Y/n? Why haven't you replied to my messages?" he asks, his blue eyes looking down into mine. I look away, but he brings his free hand up to force my jaw to face him. I meet his gaze before speaking up, "I'm talking to someone else," I lie straight through my teeth. I wanted to make him jealous, wanted to piss him off.
"Oh?" he coos at me, slightly tilting his head. "Who?" he asks, walking forward with me, pinning me against the wall, our chests practically touching.
"Some guy from this frat house," I think quickly. A small hum leaves his lips before his head cranes down, kissing my neck softly, his hot breath sending chills down my body.
"Thought you said you only liked older guys," he mumbles against my skin. My eyes flutter shut, and my hands instinctively go to his hair.
"I didn't-" I gasp as Matt bites down against my neck, sucking harshly. "I didn't say exclusively," I whine.
"Does he make you feel as good as me?" he mumbles, kissing down my collar, looking up into my eyes through his fluffy hair. I bite my lip to contain my small moans. He bites down again, urging me to answer.
"No," I whine.
"Good," he mumbles against my skin before coming back to my lips and hungrily kissing me, his hands tight on my hips. My nails rake down his chest as his knee slightly parts my leg, rubbing against me, causing me to moan against his lips. What the hell am I doing?
I pull away. "Matt," he looks down at me, shit he looks so good when his lips are all pink and plump after kissing me. I gently push him away. "I can't do this," I say, putting my hands out and walking ahead. He scoffs slightly behind me as I walk ahead.
Matt Pov 😌
I watch Y/n walk away, her silhouette fading into the distance, and guilt washes over me like a relentless tide. No matter how hard I tried to make her hate me, we kept gravitating back towards each other. I couldn't deny the electrifying allure of our connection, even though every rational part of me screamed that it was wrong.
But now, worry consumes me. She's gone off the grid, skipping my lessons, and her grades are undoubtedly plummeting. I can't stand seeing her spiral like this. As much as I've pushed her away, there's a haunting realization that her well-being matters to me more than I let on.
The mention of the frat boy was an obvious lie. Selfish as it may sound, I know she's whipped on me. I treated her poorly, spoke to her like shit, yet she still sought me out. It's a toxic cycle we're caught in, and I'm complicit in it.
I sigh heavily as I make my way to the car park, unlocking my car. The rain looms in the distance, and another wave of guilt crashes over me. She's probably walking home in the downpour right now, and the thought twists my stomach in knots.
A sudden impulse guides me to text her,
From Matt
Need a lift?
From Y/n
yh
I sent her my parking spot, she approaches the car, raindrops cascade over her, framing her figure in a glistening silhouette. She enters the car, and I can't help but notice the weariness in her eyes.
"Thanks," she mumbles, avoiding eye contact. The air in the car is thick with unspoken words, and the rhythmic patter of rain against the car roof creates a cocoon of intimacy.
"Y/n," I start, my voice low and sincere, "I can't keep pretending like this is okay. We need to talk about us, about what's happening."
She nods, "Matt, I really like you. Like a lot. But you're such a headfuck. I mean, one minute you're literally all over me, making me feel like the happiest girl in the world. Then the next thing I know, you want nothing to do with me. It makes me feel used, and I hate you for it. But at the same time, I can't stop myself from crawling back to you," she confesses, her wet hair clinging to her skin as she looks up at me, vulnerability in her gaze.
I lick my lips, taking in the weight of her words. She's bared her soul, and the honesty cuts through the tension. I sigh, unable to deny the truth, "I like you, Y/n. You're smart, funny, pretty, and just overall an amazing girl. But this can't work, as much as I want it to. I tried to push you away, and look how far that got us. Y/n, do you realize how fucked this situation is? I mean, I'm your teacher," I emphasize, my tone unintentionally harsh.
"No shit," she mumbles, her gaze shifting away, focusing on the rain-splattered window.
"Hey," I say quietly, attempting to regain her attention. She turns to look back at me, her eyes searching mine. It's a critical moment, and I have a decision to make. Keep seeing her, make her happy, but risk everything. Or break her heart and face her almost every day in my lectures, knowing how much I hurt her. Shit.
"Do you wanna..." I take a pause, feeling the weight of my words. Do I really want to do this? Yes.
"Do you wanna go out with me sometime? Like a real date?"

You're his favorite show (3)
The day has finally come, the one on one with you is here. Choso can't wait.
Divider: @rookthornesartistry
Content: fem!reader, reader is a camgirl, self pleasure (choso + reader), cybersex (sorta), parasocial behavior, sex toys (vibrator, faux cock, nipple clamps), fantasies, choso is a little delusional
Wc: 1.8k
Part one, Part two
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was harder to do than Choso realized. As soon as he woke up this morning, his dick was already straining hard against his boxers. Due to the dreams of you that night, begging him to just let you taste his cock one more time. You needed to feel the heavy weight on your tongue, the way it'd slip down your throat- “Fuck,” he ran a sweaty hand down his face. This wasn't helping. Maybe just a little touch…? That wouldn't be bad, right?
One turned into two and two turned into three. Choso was a lost cause when it came to you.
After the third, left panting and sweaty, he finally peeled his hands away from his sticky cock. Scolding himself. He needed to be fresh, with an unspent cock so he could fully enjoy you. His dick needed a lock on it if he was going to survive until eight.
Tumblr media
When eight rolled around, he couldn't stop the intense beating of his heart. Choso could even hear it in his ears. Thumping loudly, all his blood pumping there instead of the usual place; his dick. His fingers tapped, slightly impatient, on his laptop as he waited for you. Chewing on his lip, eyes glued to the screen. Waiting for your cute little picture to pop up in the middle. “Where is she?” He whispered, nerves settling now. Did you not like him? No, no. That was impossible. He was your favorite, that's why you picked him. Had to be.
A small chime came from his laptop, your picture popping up. Finally. He looked himself over before clicking accept, a large screen appearing with your face on it. God. The outfit you had on was….sinful. He licked his lips. “Hey pretty, sorry for my tardiness. I was getting my toys.” You gave a giggle and his dick twitched. “I-It's…okay. I'd wait if I had to.” Was that too much? Oh, he didn't want to scare you away now that he got you. “Aww, aren't you sweet.” You cooed. You're right, he was sweet. So so, sweet to you. He hummed.
“Okay, before we begin. I want to go over some rules, mmkay?” He nodded. But remembered, he hadn't turned his camera on. Was he allowed to?
“First, no personal questions.” She held up one finger. “Second, you can turn on your camera…unless you start to make me uncomfortable then I'm allowed to request you turn it off.” Another finger up, “you can request what toys I use, but the options are limited. I only have so many.” Finger up. “Fourth, you can request I call you something. And vice versa, just remember to keep comfort in mind. No creepy stuff.” You hummed, pressing your fingers to your lips. “I think that's it. Do you agree to these terms?” He swallowed thickly, he could do that right? Follow those rules? Choso nodded, “I do.”
“Perfect!” You clapped your hands. “Are you turning your cam on?” Another thick swallow, his finger hovering over the button before slowly clicking it. All you could see was waist down, no shirt and a pair of thick grey sweatpants. And the thick outline of his cock.
“Holy shit..” he heard you murmur. Did he already mess up? You cleared your throat, “I mean…Ahem. Guess I was expecting someone…..old, not around the same age as me.” How old were you? He wanted to know. But he didn't ask. Choso couldn't risk breaking your rules. All he did was hum, unsure of what he was supposed to say to that but his dick did give an interested twitch. He heard you shuffle before speaking again, “Okay…what should I call you?”
What should he request? A pet name? Something dirty like, daddy? No…he should, “Choso…just call me Choso.”
“Mm, okay Choso,” you purred. Another excited twitch. “What toys am I using, Choso?” His eyes scanned the screen, seeing the toys you had laying out. There were so many…
“Um; nipple clamps…vibrator and the…faux cock. Please.” Did you hear how shaky his voice was? The excitement mixed with his nervousness? Did you mind? “Mm, good choices. Let's start with these first.” You picked up the clamps, jingling them in your hand. Then, you slipped a thumb into your mouth. Your tongue swirling around the digit, getting it nice and wet. Choso's eyes were glued to the scene. And they followed when you let go with a pop, swirling it around your erect nipple. Hardening them so you could attach the clamps.
“Fuck..” he breathed, his hand already rubbing himself through his pants.
“You like that?” He heard you coo, thumb sliding to the other nipple to give it the same treatment. “Yes…yes, I do.” His breathing was already labored and you just started. And when you opened the clamps, attaching to each bud with a small cute little fucking moan, he had to grip his shaft hard. How embarrassing would it be if he came now? So soon? Choso needed you to know he had more control than that. You hummed, giving a gentle shake to your breasts. The pretty jewels hanging off the clamps made him wish he was there. Tugging on them, making you whine and moan. His tongue sliding around them, maybe he'd even bite the ends, tugging like his fingers had done.
“Pretty..” is all he managed to mumble as he watched you. And he could see a smile stretched on your face. God. He loved you.
“Hmmm…what setting should I set this Choso?” You waved the vibrator in the air. “Slow and torturous? Or so high I can't help but make a mess for you?” You were killing him, talking to him like that. Feeding his small, nurtured, delusion further. “High,” he managed to choke out. And you listened, pressing the button over and over until it was on the highest setting, making your hand vibrate. “And this?” You gestured to the faux cock. “Mouth, in your mouth..”
And you did that too. Slipping the thick head (not as thick as his) past your lips. Tongue peeking out to slide around it. He couldn't take it anymore. His thumbs hooked into his sweatpants, tugging them down to his thighs. Along with his boxers. His painful erection slapping against his tummy, leaving behind a mess. And it was only made worse when he caught your eyes, both, glued to his erection. Thick veins running up the length, an almost deep peach color making out his tip. Trimmed tufts of dark brown hair bordered the base. Large, thick and heavy balls set in between his legs. Swollen with how much cum he so desperately wanted to unload into you but couldn't. You moaned around the fake dick, moving the hypermotion vibrator to your clit.
Immediately, your eyes water from how quick it was bringing you to that bordering sensation. The feeling when anything, a slight move, could tip you over the edge. You had no choice but to come at the will of this toy.
He spit into his hand, stroking up and down his length as he watched. You, perched up on your chair, in the position he wanted you in. Using the toys, he wanted you to. Everything. Was how he wanted and it made him groan, thumb sliding over his slit, playing with his sticky precum. “I wish I could fuck you..” he found himself saying. The rules all but forgotten from his mind, the haze of lust taking over.
But you didn't seem to mind, your hips swiveling. Helping your thrust against the cruel toy, slowly ripping an orgasm out of you. Making a mess of your thighs and your chair, chanting his name around the toy. God. You truly were everything he wanted. He needed you so bad.
His teeth sunk into his lip, stroking himself quicker until he came too. Strings of white covering his tummy, his tensed muscles but he kept going. You hadn't stopped yet, so he wouldn't either. He could tell how sensitive your little clit was. That harsh toy that he picked, abusing it. He wished he could lick it, suck on it to make it feel better (or worse). His poor, pretty baby. He held his tongue, wanting so badly to call you that but couldn't. At the risk of you ending this session.
He groaned, watching as your messy pussy twitched. Gaping, clamping down on nothing. It needed to be filled. He could tell. Choso risked a glance down at his dick, it was perfect for you. Would fill you up so nicely, won't you beg him so sweetly to fill you up after this? Give him your number? Your name? The real one. Your address? He just wanted to fill that poor pretty pussy of yours. It looked so lonely.
“Fuck,” he hissed. His mind creating these scenarios made him cum again, another messy string of white painting his abs.
You came too, couldn't help it with that toy vibrating so harshly against your clit. It was so swollen. Peeking from beneath your wet folds; he licked his lips. He didn't want this to end, Choso wanted to keep watching you come over and over. Being left in a pool of your arousal, he needed that image. But he could tell you were getting tired, too sensitive. Your poor little nipples were a harsh red, the clamps digging into them. Your mouth was a mess too, saliva dripping down your chin as you kept sucking that cock like it was–his. Is that what you were thinking? He wanted to ask, desperately.
Sadly, you switched the vibrator off, tossing it to the side with a clank. Your pussy was still twitching. Saliva connected your pretty lips to the tip as you slid out the faux cock, tossing it with the vibrator. The clamps were last, undoing them left your nipples raw. He was sure they hurt. Won't you let him come and lick them better? His mouth would surely ease your aching buds.
“Phew,” you let out a deep breath. Giving a small hum as you looked at him. “I hope you enjoyed your prize, I know I did.” Your voice was laced with the aftermath. It already was springing his dick to life.
“I…did,” he looked down at his spent cock. “Good. Thank you for your support, Princ3charming. Hope to see you in the stream again!” Wait wait, what happened to his name? No, you're supposed to call him his name. “I'll be there. Always.” He watched as you gave him a smile before ending the call. His head fell against the pillows, his sheets and body messy; again. A ding came from his computer, signaling that the recording had been finished.
What? Did you think he wouldn't record that one on one time with you?

FOR PROMPT 8 INTELLIGENCE TAV WHO BELIEVES RAPHAEL IS A FAE CONTINUATION WITH TAV BELIEVING THEIR KIDS WILL BE HAGSPAWN!
A/N: I…I just. Anon, I can’t. Anon, you can’t. A HAGSPAWN? TAV WOULD HAVE TO BE  A HAG. She can’t…anon, does she think she’s a hag?! ANON, GET BACK HERE.
________
He has reached a personal low.
Raphael folds his hands over his belly, lips pursed to a tight line. The cambion stares up at the ceiling. His body is deliciously boneless, still flush from pleasure. It was, in truth, one of the more satisfying carnal experiences he's enjoyed in these past few centuries…
…but, oh, the cost. Raphael feels sullied.
The particulars continue to baffle him. Tav had come knocking on his door in the early evening, a vision of loveliness. The evening sun caught in her hair, so deliciously alive, so absurdly free. Only she had the irritating habit of opening her mouth. And any and every word brought the illusion crashing down like a sack of lead weights.
Kissing her was a mixture of self-preservation and festering irritation. Tav crawled under his skin, saying every inane thought that popped into her empty little head, and he needed silence. So he'd kissed her.
And kept kissing her.
And kept kissing her. And wonder of wonders, the sounds she made in the throes of passion were actually worth hearing. It's only now, the afterglow fading, that Raphael realizes the enormity of his mistake.
Tav slips from the bed like a shadow, movements graceful. She moves from the bedchamber to the pool. The sound of water gently lapping around her form is curious enough for him to follow her. Raphael leans in the doorway, watching her clean between her legs. More forward-thinking and responsible than he expected.
The cambion grins, pitching his voice low. "Regrets already, little mouse?"
"Hmm?" She turns to look at him, expression brightening. Tav shakes her head. "No, just… it's not the time. No reason to risk it."
The phrasing causes an uncomfortable tightening in his belly. 'Not the time' suggested there would be a time later.
Raphael hums, pushing from his perch to join her in the bath. He pats his knee. Tav goes to him without hesitation, arms winding around his neck. Her gravity remains undiminished. The cambion chucks her under the chin. "Afraid I'd whisk the babe away to the Unseelie court, hmm?"
He has not managed to shake her of the belief. Tav sighed, tracing his face. "What if it was worse?"
"Worse, pet?"
"I've heard stories…the horrible things done to Hagspawn in the Rashemi Wilds…" Tav says, morose. Raphael stops cold, touch stilling from when it's been idly tracing the curve of her breast. "I couldn't…I couldn't bear that."
"Hagspawn?"
"Mm."
"Am I not…" oh, gods above and below, here came the headache, right on time. He shifted under her, sitting up straighter. "Dear one, you pronounced me fae."
"I'm glad you feel comfortable enough to admit it."
Don't kill her. Raphael can't kill her. It'd be poor form. "Yes. This…grim truth I bear. And you concede you are…mortal."
"Yes."
Reasonable to this point. Raphael pushes forward. "And you recognize, I pray, that hagspawn are…as the name indicates, born of a hag and mortal man?"
"Yes."
"And thus…any spawn of ours…are biologically incapable of being hagspawn."
Tav clings to him. "But what if, Raphael? Doesn't it frighten you?"
The devil momentarily forgets himself. He sputters, "No? No, why should it?"
Tav rests her head on his shoulder, bringing his knuckles to her lips for a kiss. "You're very brave, my prince."
He manages to tamp down on his immediate response: how? How am I? Are you mad?
A new low. That's what this is. Raphael will never recover.

Hi hello yes uh-huh
I saw your requests are open (I haven't been on Tumblr for three months 😭😭)
And I love the works!
May I request a law and Kidd x reader (separate) to react to seeing their s/o's (always covered) body since there's all scratches and scars all over and they feel self-conscious about?
( I have a still fading scar on my thigh when I fell in a hole and a metal bar dug itself on it. So I guess that's my take lol)
A/N: I have a scar that I’m a little self conscious of so this was very cathartic for me to write!!! (Also I know Kidd has a scar kink you cannot convince me otherwise)
Characters: gn reader x Law, Kidd
Cw: This is very borderline NSFW, So read at your own risk.
Total word count: 1.2k
Beauty Scars
Law
Law’s hand slipped under your shirt and gave it a tug.
“Law, wait,” You pulled away from his lips, grabbing his hand to stop him from pulling it up further.
“I want to see you,” he murmured, leaning into your lips again.
You pulled away from his advances and he freezed. “Sorry,” he mumbled, his eyes averting away from you.
“It’s fine, really.” You could feel your face warming with embarrassment.
“No, it’s not.” His hand ran through his hair, and you could see he was distressed at the thought of you being uncomfortable. “I shouldn’t have done that, I’m sorry.”
You grabbed his face and peppered it with kisses. Law tended to get a little carried away when the two of you were alone, but he always took your nonverbal cues and stopped whenever you were tense.
“I’m fine,” you assured him. “I really am. I’m just a little self conscious of my body, that’s all.”
His eyes locked with yours. “You’re perfect, I assure you.”
You smiled slightly at his comment. He hadn’t seen the scars on your body yet, and a piece of you was afraid of what his reaction would be when he saw them. You knew he wouldn’t stop loving you, but it would hurt to see him grimace at your body. You hated it enough as it was, you didn’t need another reminder of its imperfections.
Still, you wanted to get it over with sooner than later. Your fingers gripped the bottom of your shirt, and you slowly pulled it up. You closed your eyes to avoid seeing his initial reaction, but you heard him gasp in surprise. You tossed your shirt aside and opened your eyes, finally risking a peek to see his reaction.
His eyes examined you, taking in the view of your exposed body. After a few moments, he glanced up to meet your gaze.
You suddenly found yourself feeling very uneasy, and your arms wrapped around your torso, trying to hide.
“Fuck,” he whispered softly, eyes moving back down your body. “You are beautiful.”
Your cheek burned. You were not expecting that reaction from him. He grabbed your hands, gently prying them away from your midsection and intertwining his fingers with yours so he could have a full view of you again. He leaned into you, kissing your lips slow and soft, before moving down to your neck.
He covered your shoulders in kisses, and when his lips reached one of your scars, you gasped at the contact.
“Are you okay? Does it hurt?” He pulled back, his eyes scanning your face.
“I’m fine,” you assured him. “I just wasn’t expecting it. I thought…” You trailed off, not wanting to say any more.
But Law never lets you get away with things that easily. “Tell me,” he urged. He pressed his forehead against your own, maintaining eye contact with you the whole time.
“I thought you’d find them off putting,” you admitted, your eyes cast downward in humiliation. “I thought you'd hate them.”
You can feel his brow furrowed in confusion. “Why would I hate them?”
“Because I do.” You had never said it out loud before, not to another person. Most people didn’t even know your body was riddled with scars. You always wore long clothes and avoided changing in front of people to avoid the stares and the questions.
You could hear Law sigh sadly at your comment, and you felt him squeeze your hands in reassurance. He bent down and softly kissed the first scar he could find. And another, and then another.
“Your scars are proof that you’re alive, y/n-ya. They’re proof that you’ve lived, and you’ve struggled, and you’ve overcome it all.”
He leaned back up, kissing you once on the forehead before meeting your eyes again. “How on earth could I hate such beauty?”
Kidd
“Fuck!” you shouted, coffee spilling down your shirt. The crew erupted into laughter, and you smiled along with them at your clumsy mistake. “Be right back.”
You got up from your seat and ran back to your room to change. Once inside, you pulled your shirt over your head and tossed it aside, looking through your drawers for a new outfit.
“Holy fuck,” a deep voice came from the doorway, and you let out a yelp of surprise. You turn, finding your captain standing in the doorway. He’s smirking at you, eyes raking over your body.
“Captain! I…” Your voice falters as he steps over to you, staring hungrily at your body. You shy away from him, but he pulls you in close, his fingers tracing over your shoulders and down your arms.
“I didn’t know you had these.” His gaze follows the trail that his hands have created down your torso.
“I know,” you say, ashamed by how intensely he was staring at you. “Its-”
“So fucking hot,” he growled. As you watched him, you could see he was holding back, trying to refrain from pouncing on you right here and now. He still hadn’t made eye contact with you. He was completely transfixed on your body.
“Hot?”
He grabbed your hand and pulled it up to his lips, kissing the scars that littered your arms. “Do you remember the stories of how you got them?”
Your mouth falls open, shocked by his reaction to something you spent years loathing. Your eyes begin to water, overwhelmed with your lover’s reaction. You wished you could love yourself as much as he loved you.
His thumb ran over a scar on your forearm, his lips following closely behind. “This one. How’d you get it?”
“I don’t remember,” you admit. “I have so many all over, it’s hard to keep track.”
He looked at you, mischief in his eyes. “All over, huh?”
You started to object, but before you can get any words out, his lips are smashing into yours. His hands trail down your torso and hover at the waistband of your pants, waiting for you to approve of his venture.
You hesitate for a moment, and then your fingers join his, tugging your jeans down past your waist. His lips leave yours as he lowers to pull your pants down, letting them lay around your ankles. He is eye level with your thighs now, and you can hear him grunt as he discovers new scars of all sizes down your legs.
His hands wrap around your thighs, and he pulls your legs to meet his lips. His tongue dances across your inner thighs, flicking lightly over the raised skin and scar tissue from a wound that happened years ago.
You gasp, throwing your hands into his hair to steady yourself as you grind against his face. He doesn’t seem fazed, and you can feel him smile at your eagerness. “I can’t wait to explore your body,” he mumbled against your skin, kissing your tender flesh passionately. “I can’t wait to explore you.”

Hey:-)
So I was thinking about Hotch x bau!fem!reader, where they are arguing in front of the whole fucking team about something stupid. Later the team makes them to apologise to each other…
R: I feel bad about it, so unfuck you or whatever
Hotch: You don’t want to fuck me?! Yeah I feel bad about the argument. Let’s make out
I adapted it a bit to make it fit hotch's personality better. Hope it lives up to your standards!
If someone could break Aaron Hotchner's iron ethics, that was you. For both better and worse.
It broke when you made out for the first time in his office, however wrong that was, or when he fought to keep you in the BAU regardless of the clear fraternization rules you had broken, or that time he risked his life, without regard for protocol, to get you out of a hostage situation.
Or right now, when you were yelling to each other in the middle of the bullpen, as if it was your own living room and no one else was around.
"The coffee pot is for everyone, you just can't do as you please." he growled in your direction, pointing at an empty, slightly yellow-ish tinted, coffee pot.
"Then get this office a new microwave." you snarked back, your tone slightly raised.
"It's not my fault there isn't any administrative ammenities budget!" he let out in frustration, the voice volume incrementing a bit.
"Then I'll just continue to make my lunch this way." you stated without hesitation.
"No!" he outright yelled "You can't keep making ramen in the coffee pot whenever you feel like it! I am tired of getting beef stock flavor in my morning coffee!"
"You're the only one complaining!" you matched his volume "Does it bother anyone else?!"
You turned to face a group of very startled, and utterly uncomfortable, team members. They weren't able to emit a sound, being that the entire fight just felt surreal to them, like watching their parents fight for the first time.
"They are obviously not going to tell you." he said, his tone lowering a bit.
"You know what, Aaron? Fuck you. You always do this, the stick is so far up your ass you could sit normally and not feel it." you chewed him out.
His face was that of absolute disbelief, that you would disrespect him that way without regard of where you were, or the work dynamic that you had while on duty.
Before he could say anything back, Rossi moved to pull you both by your forearms. His sole intention to make the two of you finally shut up. You complained at the grip but allowed yourself to be dragged along, and shortly you were shut down in your boyfriend's office.
"Now that you have managed to make everyone wonder whether to file an HR complaint or a domestic violence one, why don't you take a deep breath and apologize to each other." The older man explained as he made you stand before him.
Aaron sighed in frustration. He was embarrassed enough that you had addressed him the way you did, and for his sake, and yours, he needed a second of quiet. You, on the other hand, were just tired of giving in to his unwavering rules and lack of spontainety.
"Okay." Rossi said once none of you emitted a sound "Now I'm disappointed on both of you."
"Fine." you finally said "Unfuck you or whatever."
Both men gave you a disapproving look at your answer, and you stared at them in disbelief, as if you hadn't yet again said anything wrong.
"I'll tell you what," Rossi said as he got up to close the blinds in Hotch's office, finally dispersing the curious eyes of the other subordinates "I'll make sure no one comes into this office for twenty minutes. You talk about whatever you gotta talk about, fix it, and let's get back to work, okay? We know you love each other, and whatever it is, you will get through it if you communicate."
Without any further word, the wise man slipped outside the office.
"I am sorry." he finally said after a loud sigh "I shouldn't be snapping at you this way, generally speaking."
His demeanor had finally changed, and you could tell by the way he removed his suit jacket, tossing it onto the couch, and loosened his tie a little. Such action, though, did not once fail to make you want him.
"I was too accostumed to living without anyone else but Jack. It's been a challenge, but I should try to make you feel more at home." he explained.
You had moved in together, without telling the team, about a couple weeks ago, and it was... trying, to say the least. You had been on edge for a couple of days, not being able to say much due to Jack's presence. However, the fact that he also was feeling the same way, made you feel more at ease.
"I know you value structure." you said, taking a couple of steps closer and landing your hands on his shoulders "But you should let fun exist every once in a while, both of you need it."
"You're right." he nodded as his eyes landed on you "It was one of the reasons I fell in love with you in the first place. It's not fair of me to try and change it now." his hands moved to rest on the side of your hips.
"And I promise I'll try to not disrupt the routine as much. Maybe getting ideas from TikTok about practical office lunches wasn't the best idea." you joked, and he chuckled a bit.
Your usual loving aura had gone back to normal, there was still more to talk about, but this would do for now, to at least return peace to the BAU nation.
"So," you began, your hands moving to toy with his loose tie "we still have twelve minutes of 'do not disturb'" your tone had turned flirty.
"Oh yeah? Weren't you the one saying 'unfuck you' or whatever?" he retaliated playfully.
"Okay, maybe do fuck you if I get to be the one who does it."
