it turns out that working out how to make your character explain bad magical news in the worst way possible, especially to the young, uncertain character whose brother is directly affected, is a very fun enrichment exercise :>
I embroidered character themed handkerchiefs for the holidays and, now that they’ve been received, I can share them 👀 left to right/top down (if tumblr is behaving right with the order) is Fletcher, Kithalik, Lemon, Kanti, Kerri, and Seamus 💛
One of the gifts this year was a mask based on @fyresteinn's monk! He's an earth genasi and a weretiger, so his coloring and stripes are super fun. I had a lot of fun making it at each step. I even made a copper wire hanger for it so she can put it on the wall if she wants.
(Fun fact: I made her a notebook cover based on her character before!)
The discussion of what druids like came up in yesterday's session, and 3 wolf moon got mentioned. I joked that Kanti would 100% have that shirt for a decade and had cut off the sleeves over time. That stuck in my head after the session, so I spent my after session energy doodling her.
One of Kanti's mentors. Dara focused on navigation both with the stars and without, and would occasionally take trainees to the feywild as a form of advanced training since it's always twilight there.
Painting wise I had fun with this piece! I tried several different tricks and learned a bunch.
We were having a chat about token art and I mentioned Coyote*'s token and I happened to be in a mood for a bit. Bout 2 hours later (bc I was doing multiple things) I had this gem. I'm very pleased with this lil guy, and I love how I did the candy they're throwing up (don't worry about it)
*Coyote is a temporary character our cleric's player is using till we get her cleric back
Kanti with her friend Irang at the circle. Thought about chubas being a common kind of overcoat with the Mul Guanna circle. These are meant to be shearing but I can them still using wool ones in the summer since they're so high in the mountains. They are semi-communal, as in Kanti was given one when she joined and left it there when she left; she misses them honestly.
Irang was the only other hobgoblin at the circle and he was the first to befriend Kanti. They often got into little friendly competitions with each other, especially once they learned that they knew different styles of archery.
Three more gifts made this year are various boxes! One's for @beingatoaster with her wizard's orange cat familiar. Another is for @doodlegoodness, inspired by her cleric's goddess. Final is for my mother, based on boxes you could find in tourist shops in Rio when she was kid. This round boxes were refreshing to make, and Beau was very patient with me putting stuff on hi,
Kanti got the kill on a mummy that only had 3 hp left with a point blank level 3 guiding bolt that Isgrac portented. The unnecessary up-cast is because honestly, she was scared u_u
Despite being the least charismatic of the group, Kanti was the only one not charmed by a stone giant dreamer.
She proceeded to miss almost every attack against them, including two that hit Nick in the butt (Context: Nick was turned to stone and fused onto the giant, which is also why Kanti was attacking them)
