Dem nominee for Kansas House Aaron Coleman has had to put out a statement on Twitter 'apologizing' for abusing his girlfriend and then had the temerity to make this about why he should still be voted in to push for Med4All, as counseling would have prevented this. Or something. It's the worst statement he could have crafted. Will Rose Twitter, who he's affiliated with, finally deal with all their misogyny? (Bet not)

yeah he’s pretty shitty. I do hope he gets help and grows as a person and all that. But i am pretty ashamed at the idea of him representing the democratic party potentially. And no, rose twitter will never confront that.

I can understand some critiques of Yang’s UBI plan (I’m still undecided Yang/Sanders but now leaning towards Sanders,) but there is no convincing me that UBI isn’t a good idea, at least compared to what we have now. I hope that, like Sanders did for Med4All, come next election, UBI will be a mainstream idea and a big talking point.

Thing I don’t get about leftist critics of Andrew Yang’s implementation of Universal Basic Income is that they often argue that it’ll weaken the welfare state by making people choose, but for the vast majority of people, $1000/month is more than they get on welfare, and the ones that do get more can keep theirs if they want, they just won’t get UBI. Being able to cut out bureaucracy, saving us money, is one of the benefits of UBI, you just automatically get it when you turn 18. It just strikes me as people being dedicated to the idea of the welfare state to the point where they’re not willing to try something potentially better.

I have two criticisms of UBI, specifically that it needs to automatically adjust for inflation as should minimum wage (I’m not sure how possible that even is to be fair) and I think even with UBI we should still have Med4All.
