A couple weeks ago my HEMA instructor referred to inviting someone to attack you as a "pickup line" and the first thing that came to my mind was
"Hey baby," *performs a mediaeval longsword technique, killing you instantly*

Dynamic artwork from 100 years ago. I wonder if anyone has written an Escaflowne fanfic that involves jousting? Jousting with Guymelefs or the other exotic beast people ride on Gaea would be quite thrilling to behold.
Illustration from the book "The Boy's King Arthur", a retelling for young readers of Thomas Malory's Le Morte D' Arthur. Art by N. C. Wyeth , 1922.

Decided to experiment with art styles and brushes a bit. I've never actually played dark souls, but I like this knight's design and apparently they are from dark souls?
Image description under the cut
Two digital illustrations of the same knight from dark souls. It is a close up of the knights' head and shoulders. The knights are side by side, the one on the left is drawn in a more realistic style using a brush that mimics the look of paint. The one on the right is drawn to mimic the style of Alphonse Mucha, with softer shading and linework.
