Via The New York Times, the image above is a screenshot of a map which shows abortion bans in the United States, as of 8/23/23.
South Carolina’s new all-male Supreme Court reversed course on abortion on Wednesday, upholding a ban on most such procedures after about six weeks of pregnancy.
The 4-1 ruling departs from the court’s own decision earlier this year to strike down a similar law.
Earlier this year, South Carolina became the only state in the country with an entirely male state Supreme Court; after the only woman on the court was forced into retirement due to her age, our state legislature and governor went into a special overtime session in order to pass a new anti-abortion law, knowing that any further legal challenges would be unsuccessful.
As of today that ban is in effect; people waiting to have abortion procedures this morning were sent home from clinics after the ruling came out.
This is a loss not only for the millions of people living in this state who will now be denied healthcare and their own bodily autonomy, but also for thousands of others who might not be able to travel here from out of state to access care anymore.
We can also be certain that they aren't done; attempts at a total ban will come next, and after that we can be sure that gender affirming care bans and further legal oppression of trans youth will take center stage once again. (I say further, because the sports ban for trans youth is already law, and most people have already forgotten about it.)
The cruelty is the point.

Roe v Wade was protected under the 14th amendment. Here are other things the 14th amendment says/ protects.
* All persons born or naturalized in the United States,” thereby granting citizenship to formerly enslaved people.
* 1954 ruling in Brown v. Board of Education, the Supreme Court overturned the “separate but equal” doctrine established in Plessy v. Ferguson, ruling that segregated public schools did in fact violate the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment.
* The use of contraception (1965’s Griswold v. Connecticut)
* The right to interracial marriage (1967’s Loving v. Virginia)
* The right to same-sex marriage (2015’s Obergefell v. Hodges)
* Protection from racial discrimination/ discrimination based on gender or sexuality
* The right to Due Process
*HIPPA laws
* The right to engage in intimate sexual conduct (Lawrence v Texas 2003) ie: sex outside of marriage/same sex sexual acts
* Your right to vote if you aren't a white male
Y'all just opened a whole can of worms.

“Since people cannot be vaccinated against their will, the biggest job of a health department has always been, and always will be, to persuade the unprotected people to get vaccinated. This we attempted to do in three ways: first by education; second by fright; and third, by pressure. We dislike very much to mention fright and pressure, yet they accomplish more than education, because they work faster than education, which is normally a slow process.”
- Declaration by Dr. John P. Koehler, Commissioner of Health of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in an article in the Wisconsin Medical Journal, November, 1925
He was talking about smallpox, and the same applies to everything that *the bigs* (or anyone for that matter) want us to fear today.
Fear elicits an instinctual fight-or-flight response - whereas education involves methodical thinking and learning. And when people do the latter, they may come to a different decision than the one that the health departments want.

Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an undercover dictatorship to restrict the art of healing to one class of Men and deny equal privileges to others; the Constitution of the Republic should make a Special privilege for medical freedoms as well as religious freedom.

Heather B.
I met Heather because she was leading the charge in NYC advocating for medical freedom. It meant a lot to me to find such strong courage like hers in a time of extreme loneliness and alienation. She is someone who infuses you with courage. She is as bold as her beautiful red hair. Today, Heather speaks to us about an animal that reminds her of angels, life after loss, and her passion and…

It’s true. And if you have suffered this loss I am sorry. It wasn’t your fault. You didn't know. They know. And didn’t tell you. They are required by law to give you an insert. But they didn't. And therefore you didn’t read an insert. They pretend they don’t know the cause of it. Mysterious syndrome my ass. SIDS and SADS are caused by the same thing.

Your fears that you don't have a body that will transition "well" are, sure, understandable, but there isn't truly such thing as a body that's unworthy of transition. Perhaps your changing body won't suit everybody's taste, but would you rather live for yourself or for the whims of random people who don't care about your happiness as long as they're attracted to what they see?
Transition is for anybody who wants it. It's okay to be fearful. It's okay to be uncertain. But it isn't the end of the world. You are in control, and if you choose to transition to any capacity, it should be at your behest. You and your body are worthy of transition. I hope you are able to seize transition and do what you truly want for yourself.
#trans#transgender#lgbt#lgbtq#ftm#mtf#nonbinary#have been seeing a small resurgence in some trans spaces that there is such thing as an 'untransitional' body#there are people out there who cannot transition for medical/financial/social reasons but that isn't what people often mean#kill the person in your head that says you need to adhere to cishet standards. it's okay to be trans and *look* it if you want#transition because it makes you feel happy or fulfilled. transition because it is something *you* want#while yes it's complex because appearing trans can be dangerous i ultimately want people to have the freedom to make decisions solely...#...on what *they* want y'know?#i have seen this idea that some people just aren't 'able' to transition because they won't 'appear cis' for years now and it's heartbreaking#like i used the whole 'i don't look cis' against myself because it's impossible for me *to be* cis...#...i will never be non-trans. i will never not be a transsexual and i used to hate that about myself...#...because i was taught that being trans is bad. i was taught that looking trans is a curse that nobody should EVER inflict upon themselves#and that the goal was to essentially distance yourself as far away from transness as you can#and it's okay for people to not want to 'look' visibly trans. it's neutral. what was harmful was the idea that TRANS was bad#there's a huge difference between 'i don't want to be visibly trans' and 'i think being trans and looking it is bad'

World Health Organization (WHO) Seeks to Create One World Order Through COVID Rules
The WHO decides its in charge of the whole world, seeks to control al nations with rules and restrictions, trump parental rights, medical privacy, more!
While we were sleeping, the WHO is trying to create rules and restrictions related to travel and vaccine passports that would effectively over rule the national sovereignty of all the nations of the world, including the United States. They seek to restrict through Covid rules. Please recognize this as the un-represented power grab that it is, and sign this petition via the Stand for Health…

I think everyone should have the right to self determined living when it comes to disability. Some people are happier in their own home, some people are happier in a group home, some people may never want to leave their parents house. What matters is that the person chose it for themselves and that they get the support needed to make it happen.
