April 15, 2020 I gave in and listened to ACOTAR. I love finding things I missed from earlier readings and also the little snippets of Rhysand. Four books, or one a week, is very doable and if I am able to read each in a bit less than a week each then I should be able to squeeze in a fifth or at least take a few hours one evening to read the comic bindup. Five books would make me a princess while six would make me a queen. Either is perfectly reasonable imo.

I'm aiming for my vestments: my crown, chain mail (lighter than plate), and cloak. Once I collect those then I will replace my cloak and pick up a sword. After that I want all the weapons because I love the trope with the individual that keeps pulling out weapon after weapon from inconceivable places (and still has a weapon tucked away once in). Its a good trope. Admit it.

My tbr is not very big because I finish my exams on the 9th of July and then I leave for vacations on the 20th so I only have 10 days to complete the medieval-a-thon. I’m going to update my results at the end of the month. I hope you guys have a lot of fun completing this challenge!!

Yay! I finished my 3rd @medievalathon book. I reached my goal of being and knight (or as I like say to shield maiden) and a level 3 bard. Ironically, my 3rd book featured a ton of knights. Isolde: Queen of the Western Isle was an amusing retelling of the Tristan and Isolde story of Arthurian Legend. The pacing was on the slower side and it was a bit melodramatic, but it was in a way that I found relaxing to read. This has been a very slow reading week for me. I have spent most of the day resting and elevating my knee that decided to swell this week. If you don’t know what i’m talking about i’ll link the video here :) But basically it is a month long read-a-thon where more you read, the higher your nobility! PLUS build yourself up some armour and weapons by participating in the prompts. So here is the prompts.

Crown: Peace of Turmoil - Elliot Brooks I really don’t have a book that will fit this. But i think it’s close enough.

Helmet & Leggings & Cape: Fools Gold - Jon Hollins This one has a dragon on the cover and it’s also about this group of guys trying to steel a dragons gold.

Chest Plate: King of Scars - Leigh Bardugo

Shoes: City of Stairs or Howls moving castle Both of my copys have yellowed.
