OK, time for more photos! Yesterday’s first stop was the Meffan Institute in Forfar; this is a fairly small museum but it does have an excellent Pictish stone display. The bulk of this is made up of the Kirriemuir Stones, a varied collection of - often fragmented - cross-slabs, but also includes the striking Dunnichen Stone, which sports an impressive Double-Disc-and-Z-Rod, a comb and mirror, and a ‘flower’.
