I don’t have the time to really sit down and read properly the 2 new chapters but omg I just saw character death in the warnings and I am so not ready. You better have been nice Meg!!

Also, you are always so incredibly nice in your replies and I am absolutely sure you will publish a book (probably sooner than later imo). Your writing is just amazing and I’m always on the edge of my seat when reading those tense moments and I love the sweeter ones.

Ummm was that a dinosaur I spotted in those Meg II gifs??? At first I thought it might have been a crocodile but after absolutely no scrutiny I was like: dinosaur.

I might need to actually watch this. Do I need to watch Meg I for it to make sense? Even if I don’t should I watch them both anyway? I’m not going to lie those gifs make it look incredible…

That is, in fact, a dinosaur because Meg 2 was like: well what's better than a seventy-foot shark? And the answer was watching a seventy-foot shark eat a Tyrannosaurus Rex. And they were right.

Yes, you 100% need to watch this and join me in my delusional fantasies - I have now watched this three times in three days, dialogue skeletoned a 5+1 fic and need to find time to watch it yet again so I can make sure my gestures and content are pitch perfect.

You do not need to watch Meg the first for this to make sense, it will just deepen your affection for the legacy characters, which is never a bad. Plus, there are a few callbacks (that make it more of a gay underwater romance) that I missed the first time I watched it (which obviously did not hinder my enjoyment) and on day two, I watched both back to back and caught them. (3.5. This is a movie about sharks eating dinosaurs, underwater research bases, giant carnivorous octopi, Fun Island, and two dads coparenting a teenager who can run circles around them - so just to note: it also does not need to make sense.)

That said, I absolutely recommend watching Meg the first. It was a hoot and it makes Meg the second more fun because once you start off that strong, you have to go wackier, right? Once you get to two, you're like: okay, I know why we are at this level of wacky and you have my stamp of approval.

It is, in fact, incredible. JOMING 5EVA (I gave them a ship name, I think I can do that when - at least last I looked, which admittedly was last week - I've got the only fic going [granted, it is unposted but nOT FOR LONG] and there are less than ten of us, haha.)

For the 3rd part of The Party Forgets Steve's Birthday, how does Eddie one up himself with the words on the cake? Have you thought about what other sayings he might use every year?

Also, great job on the fic! I loved how this series started with Steve being all sad then went to Eddie saving the day and being mad at the kids to the kids feeling really guilty. It felt like I was on a rollercoaster! Thank you, keep up the great work please!

First of all, thank you. I'm glad that you liked it.

Second of all, yes I have! Eddie always uses the same drippy red frosting that turns the cake into a blood spattered, albeit delicious, crime scene and he always uses the same rainbow sprinkles to add a little bit of razzle-dazzle.

The first cake said "BIRTH STEVE" because Eddie ran out of room on the small cake to decorate. Steve was a little appalled at the time but found humor in it afterwards.

The second cake said "BIRTH STEVE, Another Year Gone". The entire Party was shocked into silence but Steve loved it. He gave him the biggest hug and bragged about it to anyone who would listen.

Next year, Eddie writes "Goodbye to Steve's Youth" and things just devolve from there. For the next thirty five years or so (and counting), Eddie makes it his mission to be as creepy and heartfelt as he can.

"Dying to tell you Happy Birthday, Stevie!"

"RIP Age 30, Goodbye Friend"

"Life Vould Suck Vithout You!" (Also had an illegible cartoon vampire)

Some years he also just doodles random pictures that he has to explain to everyone. Like the time he tried to make a tombstone but it was really just a lump of black frosting that stained everyone's teeth for days.

The year they get married, he also decorates a cake with the outline of a body and writes "It's always the husband...". Steve didn't know if it was a threat or an insinuation.

First of all, I do think that Artemis and Meg could/would get along. They share similar traits and Apollo even mistook Meg for Artemis in The Hidden Oracle at first.

However, I do think there would be...clucks tongue how should I say it? Tension? Yes, tension.

Why?

Well, we all know Meg would clock the whole Zeus=Nero thing and the common consensus in the ToA fandom is that Artemis is unaware to an extent of the abuse Apollo has gone through - I say to an extent because there's no way it's strictly under wraps, especially with how long it's been going on for.

Nevertheless, Artemis is unaware of it and even (accidently) contributes to the whole 'reenforcing of abuse' with the nagging/lecturing she gives Apollo (see: BoO scene).

And Meg, while she does criticize Apollo, she wouldn't be a fan of that. And she Would Not hold her tongue, leading to a very interesting dynamic/potential conversation between her and Artemis.

Meg's all like "you're literally siding with a fucking tyrant over your own brother?!" and Artemis is like "I'm doing what I can to protect him!" Meg snorts and is like "Some 'protecting' you've done lately!"

I can see this argument having nearly the same end results as my fic Lamentation of a Sister does.

With Artemis realizing she's done a Major fuckup and Meg's like 0_0 because she's had to deal with one (1) dramatic, self-pitying god and now there's another.

There’s not much content for it yet since the game was just released a couple weeks ago sooo I felt compelled to make something for it! These 3 were particularly my favorite and got me crying towards the end ;_;

Aaron’s staying late at the library, pouring over a case study when he gets a call from you. He knows that you were going out tonight, he’d been checking in on you periodically.

“Hi angel, you alright?”

“Yes, I just, um, can you come get me?” Your words are slurred but you sound happy, excited even.

“Of course,” He immediately starts to back up his things. You’d already sent him the address of the bar as a safety precaution. “Are you safe?”

“Yes, baby, I’m just tired and drunk and miss you.”

“I miss you, too. I’ll be there soon.”

Aaron parks on the street across from the bar, spotting you as he gets out of his jeep. Your friend, Ollie has his arm around your waist and the two of you lean against the brick wall of the building. Your eyes are closed but your lips are upturned in a smile. Ollie sees him first, nudges you and whispers something into your ear. Your eyes immediately open, and you plant a kiss on his cheek before running to Aaron.

You’re not very coordinated given your intoxication and he starts to jog himself, catching you when you stumble, “Not a good idea to run while drunk, yeah?”

You grin up at him before giving him a peck on the lips, “Yeah, not a good idea but I told you, I missed you.”

“Well let’s get home and you won’t have to miss me anymore.” He wraps his arm around you, waving to Ollie before guiding you to the car.

The drive to his apartment is short, and he keeps the windows down on this warm summer night. He glances over at you, his chest swelling with adoration as he watches you lift your face to the wind. Once at his apartment, you’re quiet, feeling content as he helps you up the stairs.

“Shower?” He asks once inside.

“No, bed, please,” You reply as he leads you into the kitchen. You lean up against the counter as he fills a glass with water.

“Alright, drink up for me first, please.”

You follow his instructions and once done you let him lead you into his bathroom. He sits you down on the toilet, and finds the toiletries bag you leave at his apartment. Delicately he gets your hair out of the ponytail that you’d put it in, taking out the bobby-pins as well. He moves on to washing your face, his moments slow, unhurried as he gets your face nice and soapy before wiping it clean with a fresh towel. When you’re nice and dry he applies your moisturizer then leans in, treating you to a sweet kiss that you readily return. He couldn’t help himself, you look so soft as he takes care of you, and soon he’s taking you into his bedroom.

“I love you,” You sigh as you fall back into the bed when he sits you down.

Aaron, who’s turned to open your designated drawer to find your pajamas freezes in his tracks. It’s the first time you’ve ever said that to him and when turns around to say it back to you, you’re already sleeping. He smiles to himself as he gets you dressed in your pajamas, and afterwards he gets dressed in his own. Returning to the kitchen, he fills up another glass of water and stops by the medicine cabinet for some ibuprofen and sets them on the bedside table.

“I love you, too,” He murmurs into your hair once he gets settled in bed with you. He’ll make sure to tell you again in the morning.
