Since Tamara seems to be doing a lot of "deep dives" lately, I really hope she helps Lucy try to find Tim in The Vow. There's a reason they brought her back for this episode and I hope it's not just to be emotional support for Lucy, but rather Tam helping Lucy turn Tim's life upside down so they can find him 🤣
MELISSA: My favorite birthday was when I turned 30 and uh, my grandmother had recently passed and I heard this word— wow I'm really going deep - I heard this word I'd never heard before, hyperion, and I was like "I'm gonna look this up" and hyperion is one of the tallest redwood trees. And for that birthday, I found it, but you have to like, geolocate it, and it's not on a trail and so I was like wading through this river, totally clear, you can see all the way through the stones, like carrying my sack over my bag, climbing on the redwood...
KELLY: What kind of movie are you living in right now? What?!
"THE ROOKIE" CAST IN THE KELLY CLARKSON SHOW (2022)
Chenford aside, the storyline I want to really see explored this season is Harper.
"I am an enigma wrapped in a badass riddle."
I love the way she describes herself😂 but I also want to see her trauma explored more deeply. Especially with this latest shooting and how it will affect her, and how James will take it. Obviously, this isn't the first time Harper has shot someone. Nolan said himself, "Harper has seen things that would give Freddy Krueger nightmares."
But I think Harper very much compartmentalizes the job. And out of all of them, I think she is the best at leaving work at the station and making sure she is present for her family when she is home.
Having said that, I think she internalizes a lot of it. And seeing how James was when Harper was trying to help the kidnapped boy and when she was trying to assist with Fiona Ryan's stalker, I think he's definitely going to have opinions on her killing this man, even though it was the right call and had to be done in order to save Lisa.
I know we're short on time this season, but I do hope we get to see some of this explored.
The best, most cohesive episode of the season thus far
The writing on Angela/Nyla needs to be punched up because at this point they're just indistinguishable from each other.
Loving the Chenford angst. Tim just took it (as he should; could've used that in 6x01 but that's another story). Can't wait to see how this storyline unfolds. Lucy yelling at Tim and their huge fight in the 6x06 preview - that's the vulnerability that Meleric talked about at TCAs, I think.
Bailey got her flowers. Love the camerawork as she tries to find the child and remembers the child she babysat almost drowning. Could this be why she decided to be a paramedic-firefighter?
Psycho-psych is all kinds of bad news. Aaron beware.
Smitty. SMITTAY. YASSSSSSSS.
Grey/Luna holding hands at the hospital. Double yasssss.
