Hello and welcome back to Melanie Studies Astronomy. I haven’t made a post in 3 years but here is a little update. I graduated from Christopher Newport University with a B.S. in Applied Physics and Mathematics in December 2020. This past May I graduated from Liberty University with a Masters of Business Administration. Even though I am no longer in school… for now lol … I will continue to maintain this blog. As of right now, I work in the AI field and there are many many opportunities for you too. Don’t miss out!

Hello studyblr community! Consider this a reintroduction of sorts, as I haven’t been super active on this blog since 2017. Many many things have changed since then, and I want to get back into the swing of this blog in hopes it’ll help me out.

You can call me Talon (he/him); I am a 22 year old double majoring in Astronomy and Astrophysics. I am entering my fifth (and hopefully) final year of college this fall.

how many blankets do you sleep in: only 1 (even when it’s boiling and even when it’s freezing...I do change between various thicknesses of the 1 blanket though). I move in my sleep a lot and having more than 1 blanket restricts my movement LOL and feels suffocating.

dream trip: any trip tbh. I have travelled a lot, but I  really want to go to Indonesia, Morroco and India (again).

anything you want: A good MCAT score, not having an uncomfortable first time meeting with my new team and a shopping spree before school starts again.

1. what is your degree/favourite subject?

I really liked theatre

2. where are you from?

I live in europe

3. what motivates you to study?

this is gonna sound really weird but seeing other people study really motivates me. if they can do it, so can I. 

4. what do you love about yourself?

 That I can be both creative and logical. I need both outlets to thrive.

5. what time do you do your best studying?

It changes from day to day. In general, most of my productive study sessions are around 2pm, but sometimes I´ve sat down at 9pm or 10am and had a great session. 

6. what is your favourite tv show?

bojack horseman, rick and morty, jessica jones, brooklyn 99

7. best self-care tip for exam season?

set aside time for relaxation, and don´t tire yourself studying. Your results will only get worse if you stress yourself sick. 

8. do you listen to music when you study?

Occasionally, but I since I work in a noisy environment I prefer peace and quiet when I sit down to study. 

9. what is your favourite book?

I don´t really have one 

10. where do you do your best studying?

I have several little nooks to study at home. Otherwise at my local library

11. what do you  get complimented on often?

lots of people say I´m cute. 

12. where would you like to live in the future?

probably a smaller town, the atmosphere tends to be more friendly when there are less people around. 

13. how long have you been active on your studyblr?

A couple months, but recently I´ve been a lot more consistent in my posting

14. favourite way to spend study breaks?

making some tea, or walking around and stretching

you can´t go wrong with fruit!
