Beauty in itself is the only thing worthy in life and in an immortal life be considered a beauty among all your peers is what Selene craves the most. Magic alone is not enough as the mage found out there one creature which her beauty inspires the universe and the outer gods themselves, The Goddess of Creation, Zaorva, and no magic she knows can compete with this fact alone.

But since when Selene will give up on her goals? Immortality and beauty is what all human inspires to achieve, Selene just wants to go a bit further. Meeting the Dagon´s cult was a lucky coincidence, well, Dagon himself does not believe in coincidences.

"Why are you helping me? I wasn´t one of your followers" Selene asked not wanting to sound rude, is important to paraphrase her words correctly with an outer god.

"I know, but your goal goes along with mine, I want to see him suffering for what he did, and if that helps you, so be it" the entity often appears wearing different masks. One day he was a fragile old man, the other he was a young boy and now he is a young man.

"All I want is to be prettier than..."

"Zaorva, I know, and it can be arranged, however, be prepared, to reach that level it won´t be easy, you will have to do things not even the darkest mage ever dream in doing"

To say the price was high it would be an understatement of the century, no, the price was impossible to calculate. Selene killed, give birth to things she would never consider her children(let alone humans) and obey every command that Dagon give. EVERY COMMAND.

One day, Dagon shows up in her room(cellar, room is all semantics at this point) with an old box.

"Here it has a lock of Zaorva´s hair" Dagon smiles pleased with himself "eat the hair and your beauty will rival Zaorva"

The woman did as she was told, well, she tried as the sensation of angry eyes on her form paralyzes, Dagon is not phased by this situation.

"Oh, you finally noticed?" Dagon replied as the shadows give a form of a blue man with golden eyes and a tail. "Nyarlathotep

"I noticed for a long time, this is not her real hair" the entity of chaos replied as the woman is still paralyzed and the blue hair now morphed into a huge and screaming vermin wants to make a home on Selene´s body. The woman has enough strength to only hold the vermin. Only that.

"Dagon...did you lost your mind? Did you really thought I wouldn´t notice your schemes" the smirk is anything but soothing, Kurt(a short name for the chaos entity) looks at the "young man" who in turn didn´t seem phased.

"I knew you wouldn´t unnotice, I just thought you wouldn´t care, after all, it was thanks to you, Zaorva, the goodness of creation, is dead. Murder by Chtulu...indirectly killed by your hands, like the true entity of chaos"

A tentacle wrapped around Dagon´s form, breaking not only his mask by his real form. Dagon merely laughs maniacally at this.

"Yes, killed me like you murder your own beloved Zaorva, this way I will finally see her and you will be alone forever" Dagon stops laughing when the tentacles lose his grip on Dagon. Kurt walks and whispers into his ear.

"You think I don´t see? I know you care for your followers, you love the idea of with a snap of your fingers" a dark chuckle is given now "they will jump at your feet, this is love, at least for you, then...what if they all are gone forever?"

Dagon looks at Kurt pleading with his eyes but only a melevolant gaze was given to the other entity.

"I´ll let you see, all of them, yes, all of them, being killed" while they both are in the same place(with Selene still paralyzed) Dagon can see all of his followers(on EARTH and outside) being killed in the most excruciating way. Begging to Dagon to help as Dagon himself is powerless to help. His last herald is nothing but ashes that was swallowed by one of Kurt´s heralds.

"That was the last one, see? I did pay attention" Kurt saw Dagon crumble on the floor as he witnesses his own temples being reduced to dust. His golden eyes now remain to Selene, who still holds the vermin that is struggling to be inside.

"Selene, right?" Kurt asked in a polite tone "you want to be beautiful and immortal, right?"

Selene is crying knowing full well she does not look pretty but the woman does not care at this point.

"Is ok, you humans always thrive for the mundane things, but you...oh, that´s caught my attention" his hand goes to where the vermin was "I´ll be nice enough to let you fulfil your dream, sure you won´t come close of my Zaorva, but...Cleopatra was a pretty woman, wasn´t she? Oh, you don´t have the type of melanin for that, but it will be close enough" his hand finally wins as the vermin enter on her mouth happily. "As long this little vermin is in you, you´ll be beautiful and immortal...but who long Selene will be Selene? Well, you never required to be you"

And bidding goodbye, Kurt is gone, leaving Selene to enjoy her new immortality. It is better the woman enjoy as much she can...those vermins eat the person faster.
