1. Escanor ( I can't even put into words how much I loved his introduction. First showing us à tiny timid man then showing said tiny timid man turn into a huge buff monster that just casually beats up Melascula and Galand, the same two beasts that gave both Ban ad Meliodas a hard time. " I stand at the pinnacle of all races-" I MISS HIM SO MUCH HE WAS SUCH A BADASS )

2. King ( his entrance was so sudden and so dramatic, randomly spawning behind ban and stabbing him with chastiefol, grinning maliciously at his supposed companion, we were all shook as fuck lets be fr . Chefs kiss you will always be iconic

3. Ban ( the guards whispering about how they tried to execute him like 30 times, showing Ban pierced by metal rods and bound and chained up . The ominous music being harmonised with Ban's morbid humming showing us how much he doesn't give a fuck...perfect intro )

I'm tying Meli and Ban cause I loved their intros the same amount but for different reasons . Van for the more ominous and daunting reveal and Meliodas for the more wholesome and exciting one .

3. Meliodas ( I absolutely loved his reveal, him effortlessly beating up Twigo, Elisabeth staring in shock, him telling her he's not a member of the sds but their " CAPTAIN " go off my short king then him telling her to join him on his adventure, with the uplifting music and her smiling widely and nodding and following him on mama hawk.... oh fuck I am getting so nostalgic rn, back when it was hawk meli and eli, my roman empire frr .

5. Merlin ( incredibleeeee, I love it when she taught that rat vivian a lesson and when she pulled of her cloak it was giving " its britany bitch" sorry sorry sorrry . Plus with the hand I the waist, the flowy hair, the smug smile, she knew she was serving .

6. Gowther ( goes from random green haired background character to pink haired hottie, like no wonder hes the sin of lust-

But fr we all thought he was the armored giant so most of us were hella confused when he actually turned out to be the guy we saw in the beginning of the arc it was one hell of a twist and Nakaba is actually really good at doing this sort of thing with character reveals . )

7. Diane ( first time we saw my girl she was chilling asleep, in a forests that she " conquered " lmao . Those little creatures thanking Meliodas for taking her away will never not make me chuckle )

what are your opinions on lance/guin and tristan/isolde?

The most interesting thing that Nakaba could do with them is sink them, imo! And that's also what I think is going to happen for a few reasons. Predictably lengthy response below.

One of the big themes in the sequel so far seems to be about defying fate. As a viewer, these two pairings are cemented in pop culture history. They're viewed as inevitable to us. This is kind of directly acknowledged through the power he gave to Guinevere. With how strong the idea of fate is reinforced both to the characters and to the audience, it gives off a stronger vibe that the end result will be how it's not inevitable. Otherwise, what's the point of all of this set-up if we're being told 100% how it's going to end?

Bartra had a similar ability to Guinevere and his was infallible. However, his visions were vague, and them being so heavily up to interpretation created misunderstandings and conflict. Guinevere believes hers to be 100% accurate.

Guinevere seems to lack of a self-identity outside of the future she can predict. She's trapped in this prison of isolation and knowing so much about herself that she simultaneously doesn't seem to know anything at all. Her magic is powerful, but would be really boring if it's infallible. She made sure to mention that there would be grave consequences if fate is defied. So... I mean, that's just what's going to happen, surely? That also implies it is possible. But she's doing what she can to make sure fate isn't broken by getting involved herself. So, it doesn't exactly seem very fool-proof if she has to meddle...

Isolde is nerfed by her own magic because she's convinced herself the source of it and her entire reason to exist is for Tristan. He's been kind to her, so she's heavily devoted to her own detriment. Isolde and Tristan's dynamic/friendship actually reminds me a lot of Diane and Meliodas from the very early parts of arc one in the original manga (a one-sided pairing that was destined to fail). Nakaba even draws direct attention to it with the whole, "he's the only guy who treats me like a normal person even though I'm so tall and stand out" thing.

The girl's issues with self-identity is something that I'm hesitantly saying is intentional and not an unintended writing flaw. I've seen people say they're flat due to these traits, but I see some hidden depth here, personally. I think Nakaba is cooking something.

This is probably an unpopular opinion but as someone who has been reading for almost 8 years, I actually think NnT is one of the romance-focused shounen manga where the women aren't watered down just to the man that they love. So the fact it "appears" that way just leads me to believe that it's the point, and the end result will be veering away from that.

It's very much like Nakaba to play with the expectations of Arthurian mythos by mixing things around in this way. Since these characters are so established culturally, he tends to do unexpected things with them to suit his intended themes and so the story doesn't get predictable. Taking two of the more culturally iconic pairs and subverting expectations by not having them be compatible romantically would be interesting. As of right now, that's how it's been coming across to me?

One of the ways Nakaba has already done this is by making Arthur's interest in Guinevere entirely non-romantic in motivation. That alone is a huge flip on what we're led to expect. So the typical "Lancelot and Arthur NTR/love triangle conflict" thing just isn't being built at all.

Lancelot isn't interested in Guinevere at all for a few reasons, and Tristan is so oblivious of Isolde's feelings and views her solely as a friend. We haven't had a hint of much else.

Second of all this is actually the THIRD time I’ve tried to type this ask. 😂😅 first time I was nervous. Then Tumblr deleted the second one seconds ago because it’s bad luck day I guess. The curse of the broken headphones is spreading. It killed my laptop charger an hour ago and is now directly deleting my writing. Is the universe trying to send me a sign? I am writing a SDS demon analysis essay inspired by zorria’s post that’s been circling around about Tristian and Io. I wanted to ask you if you’d like to give a special guest / character / concept mention that you'd like to see me ramble on about! I’ll research pretty much anything.

So far for writing topics we have: zeldris, cursed by light, ethics of our least favorite tryant parents and the consequences, the supreme dirty specifically making me concerned for the future of the goddess clan for 90 minutes, Elizabeth’s holy war shenanigans, and Jenna and Zaneri making me question the druids.

None of our SDS mutuals have responded to me about this yet, so in the meantimeeee I'm writing a Pre Holy War fic because time to write my first fanfiction I guess! First two chapters are done and end on cliffhangers, inspired by your latest SDS fic which I love.

Featuring! TC Meliodas’s Questionable battle strategy, Zeldris being a literal brat (child Zel!) but a very smart one, the Ten Commandments doing their job well for once but behind the Demon King’s back, Fraudrin being forced into the role of NPC, the predecessors of the Six Knights of Black being even worse at their job than the ones the Sins best in prisoners of the sky, and the lack of goddess characters forcing me to come up with one on the spot. She has a randomly generalized name and her fate is undecided.

If you would like to submit a Thought to that as well, I'm all ears. In any case you and the mutuals can expect something interesting from me soon I guess.

Anyway! Glad you're enjoying my chaos ;) And the icon - that's exactly why I picked it! I just love that scene (no matter how brief it is) and always replay it so I can watch that smile again (so soft! so happy!) So I thought, hey why not make it so I get to see it everyday?

Oh no, not the Curse of the Broke Headphones! 😂 It really must be spreading tho. My standard video viewing program on my computer (that I prefer to use for my videos) just works like... 1 out of 10 times, for the past few days. No clue why. Kudos to you for being persistent! If you hadn't, I wouldn't have gotten this fun ask 😊 I feel you on the nerves though. I think I've only ever sent 1 ask. And that was to thank for hosting a whump event. And I know saying there's no need to be nervous is pretty pointless (because if you're like me you're gonna be nervous anyway) but just know you can write whatever to me. No judgement!

Okay. So, that essay sounds sooo interesting! And I... don't have anything specific in mind at the moment. (Like always, somebody asks me what's my thoughts on Topic are and I'm like... *cricket sounds*). But seriously, all those topics so far sound really good and interesting. Man, the SDS demons really are Something to think about, aren't they? Honestly, the demons, the goddesses, the first holy war are all so fascinating to think about. (And definitely something I wish had gotten explored more in canon). Like, take the goddess clan in that era for example (admittedly not something I think about as much as the demons but) and the SD's role in the war. Like obviously, as seen in Cursed by Light, she didn't want the holy war to end, wanting to keep her "game" and the balance between light and dark, but at the same time we have people like Ludociel, who is dead-set on not only ending the war but destroying all the demons. Actually, this goes for the DK and the demons too! Neither the Supreme Deity nor the Demon King wanted the holy war to end, yet had their best soldiers fighting tooth and nail to end it. It's just interesting to think about, how did their thought process work? The archangels and the Ten Commandments are their elite troops, right? And - what, they didn't actually expect them to win? Like what would have happened if one side had figured out a way to win that didn't include the disappearances of both demons and goddesses? So much to think about.

Oh! First fanfic, yay! I remember my first fanfic - or actually I don't. But I remember my first fanfic that I posted (not sure if that's the first I wrote or not). It was for Lab Rats over on FF.net back in 2016. (Oh, man, just typing that out made me feel old. Have I really been writing fanfics (on-and-off) for almost 7 years now?). To the surprise of absolutely no one it was angsty and family-centric.

And yeah, gotta write those cliffhangers ;) Happy to be of service (inspiration)! To share some excitement from my end as well, I am currently (as in as soon as I'm done typing this answer) working on chapter 2. So, hopefully I'll (finally) have that up soon!

Okay, let me tell you something: that fic sounds absolutely amazing! So many good things included. You've definitely got me intrigued already! And I feel you on the goddess character. I can't tell you how many times while writing my fics I've been like wait I need a goddess/demon character for this. And they need a name and an identity?? Not to mention the time I had to come up with a name for an entire dragon species. Thank god for name generators 😂 Usually I just generate names until I find one I like and then maybe change it a bit (like for the dragons where I swapped two letters around because I liked it better that way) or just take whatever name pops up in my head (that's sort of what I did for Mel's sister in my Dragon Meliodas AU; I took a name that popped up in my head and switched it up a bit to be more similar to Zeldris' for maximum angst). One time I even went: you know what, this goddess is a minor character, that's gonna flee the scene of the crime almost immediately and isn't really the point of the story, and then just didn't bother give her a name at all 😅 Actually! I'm in this spot right now too. I still haven't named my demon character in When the Past Comes Crashing, but it's okay so far. He's still an unknown mysterious demon to the readers, so I have time to figure it out 😂 😅

Anyway. Excited to see whatever you come up with! Also, this is like the fourth(?) ask I've gotten. Ever. So, yeah, there's always room in my inbox (or dm if you prefer) to come yell, rant or just chat with me about SDS, fics, or anything you want to 😊

Dandi is, in fact, trolling Exosphere

No quote today, just some information about something I’ve done purposefully with post scheduling.

Two characters who have appeared prominently in a lot of my quotes include Popcorn Edition’s Dandi and Exospheric Corruption’s Exosphere. And I’ve been making the former troll the latter on this blog.

If Exosphere appears in a quote, either Dandi must appear in that quote or in the one directly after it. Story-wise, he’s doing it purposefully to troll her.

This even goes back further to an AI-generated tournament I did once involving Dave and Bambi characters.

Dandi and Exosphere were assigned to go up against each other in Round 1d. To the surprise of everyone, not only did Dandi beat her quickly, he even said what would later become his most iconic, albeit not yet canon, line.

Dandi would later go on to win the whole tournament. Unfortunately, said victory was controversial, especially with the new character added by the AI. His name is Meliodas and he hates Dandi for reasons unknown.

(Also, due to the fact that I was using AIDungeon, I had to make myself a character, so I decided to make myself the referee.)

He would later challenge Dandi to a battle.

And lose. But there’s more to this character than originally meets the eye.

Turns out, Exosphere was still salty about her loss, so she challenged Dandi to a rematch. That she still lost.

But her actions were still justified.

Imagine you are the Goddess of Darkness. You are feared across the universe for your scythe and your power to “corrupt��� anyone you choose at any given moment. You’re quite the formidable threat. Maybe too formidable, as your creator, ReeVrze, hasn’t given you any weaknesses whatsoever. All you have are strengths.

You are invited to a tournament in which people from around the universe fight each other for title of The Strongest Dave and Bambi Character. You go because you know you’ll win. ReeVrze made you that powerful.

You look at the brackets and see your first round is Round 1d. Your opponent: some random kid from Popcorn Edition with a pink shirt, black pants and a blue hat that he gave noclip. He thinks of himself as a Big Shot that has a very high chance of making it to the finals. You can’t wait to teach him his place in the universe.

Looking at the screen you see Gorbini from Kirby Dave and Funeralbi from Hortas Edition duking it out.

The battle doesn’t last long and ends in Gorbini’s humiliation.

It’s decided: you want to be a Funeralbi, not a Gorbini.

And then you and the kid, whose name you now know is Dandi, are called out to fight.

Good news: The battle ends with humiliation, just like Gorbini vs Funeralbi.

Bad news: It ends with your humiliation. Dandi just beat you.

No! you think to yourself. This can’t be possible. I’m the Goddess of Darkness, he’s just a mortal.

You are escorted out and can leave the stadium, but you decide to stay. You want to see Dandi lose.

Round 2b: Funeralbi vs Dandi.

Round 3a: Conbi vs. Dandi, the tournament’s only cage match.

Round 4a: The Semifinals, Dandi vs. Gimbi

You boo Dandi as he makes it to the finals. You just hope he’ll finally be knocked down there.

Dandi is scheduled to go up against Dave last. Dave made himself famous in his battle against Punkay from Stadium Edition in Round 3c by giving himself a nickname.

Dave might not be happy about the fact that he’s been avenging you, due to that one time you corrupted him a few months ago, but as long as you don’t say anything yet, he’ll be motivated to win and Dandi will finally have his ego crushed.

That’s it. That’s the straw that breaks your mind. Not only did Dandi beat you Round 1, but he won the whole tournament. What’s his secret?

You decide to take matters into your own hands.

You disguise yourself as a man named Meliodas and confront the referee who declared Dandi the winner of the whole tournament. You launch into a speech about how you’re the world’s conscience and how Dandi is a villain that must be defeated immediately.

The referee won’t listen to reason. So you decide to confront Dandi himself.

It goes poorly for you. Not only did you lose again, but your identity and true intentions have been revealed. And now the entire universe knows you’re a sore loser and an actual weakling. Not even ReeVrze can save your reputation.

It’s just as Dandi said. “You’re not even a real god, you’re just a girl in a dress.”

That line echoes through your head, driving you insane. His insults drive you insane. His voice drives you insane. His very existence drives you insane.

Your life has been ruined, all thanks to Dandi from Popcorn Edition.

It is then when she came to a realization that she knows ReeVrze would not like.

Exosphere is just a regular villain. Dandi, on the other hand, is a supervillain. The difference is all in the presentation.

The End is Near: Attack on Titan Star Receives the Final Script

Hey, fellow Attack on Titan fans! I have some bittersweet news to share with you today. The voice actor of our beloved protagonist Eren Jaeger, Yuki Kaji, has just posted a photo of the final script for the anime adaptation on his Twitter account1. This means that the recording for the last episode of the epic saga is about to begin, and we are one step closer to witnessing the end of an era.

The photo shows a thick script with the logo of Attack on Titan: The Final Season on the cover. The title and the crew names are blurred out, but we can still feel the weight of this momentous occasion. Kaji simply captioned the photo with “I received the last script” and added the hashtags #shingeki and #進撃の巨人 (Attack on Titan in Japanese).

Kaji has been voicing Eren since 2013, and he has become one of the most popular and prolific voice actors in the anime industry. He has also voiced many other iconic characters, such as Shoto Todoroki in My Hero Academia, Meliodas in The Seven Deadly Sins, and Yukine in Noragami. He has poured his heart and soul into bringing Eren to life, and we can only imagine how he must be feeling right now.

The final part of Attack on Titan: The Final Season is scheduled to air this fall, after months of anticipation and speculation. The anime will adapt the final chapters of the manga, which ended in April 2023 with a controversial and emotional conclusion. The manga creator Hajime Isayama and the anime staff have expressed their gratitude and sadness for finishing this masterpiece that has captivated millions of fans around the world.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not ready to say goodbye to Eren and his friends. Attack on Titan has been a huge part of my life for almost a decade, and it has given me so many unforgettable moments, feelings, and lessons.
