Papa and Daddy (Finished Season 1 and on Season 2)

- I very much loved this show

- It has been on my watchlist for a while, but I decided to watch it bc season 2 came out recently

- I loved how everything was so fluffy

- Yes, I cried

- I thought I wasn’t gonna like the actor change in Season 2, but I like new Jerry 

- I love their family dynamic, but everyone needs to stop lying

My Secret Love (On Ep 5)

- I think this was filler BL for me

- Right now it is moving a little too slow for me, but nonetheless I love a slow burn

- Why did they add Tim in the mix bc when I saw fake dating I was sold, but now they add Tim like go away back to Mai

- I will try to finish this week

- I love the OST. Jeff Satur did an amazing job.

The Eclipse (On Ep 3)

- I think this is gonna be pretty good. 

- I love Khaotung and I am excited to see more of First after watching him in Not Me

- I am very interested in the plot line and also curious as to how they end up together

War of Y (On Ep 3)

- I think this BL is something that BL fans need to watch

- I don’t think every BL ship acts this way, but as fans we need to understand our place and that at the end of the day these actors are real people who have a job to do. I can go more into depth about this

- I am so glad to see Billy and Seng again and their acting is really showcased in this show

- So far I do not like Seng’s character bc he is very ingenuine, but I am excited to see more

It’s back, it scared me when they said they weren’t going to do another one because of all the illegal uploads of the drama, but here we are. An enemies to lovers high school set, paladin bab boy pairing from GMMTV. This is right in their wheelhouse and was my most anticipated from GMMTV’s 2022 line up. Tropes include: sinister boarding school, haze the one you love, suspense & horror elements looks great, dark (but in a way Thailand can handle), kind of Blacklist-ish meets Great Men Academy. GMMTV excels at this kind of content. Stars First (The Shipper, Not Me) & Khaotung (Tonhon Chonlatee) side dish pair from FUTS NeoLouis. I actually really like this lead pair and I think they can handle the content. trailer

* I’m gonna point out an important thing. I find it notable that Khaotung as the aggressor/bad boy (for a change) in this GMMTV offering has his natural skin tone (aka darker) as opposed to when he’s playing a super uke role (see Tonhon Chonlatee). Now there could be mitigating factors (like the makeup people got better at matching base tones, or they were shooting outside a lot), but still Thailand’s propensity for associating negative/evil/poor/crazy characters with darker skin tones is so painful and so insidious I want everyone to notice this, especially when we see it being carried out on THE SAME actor by THE SAME production team. 

And yes, Korea does this too.

My Only 12%

Friends to lovers, high school set, high angst, sunshine/sunshine pairing from Studio Wabi Sabi for iQIyI. (trailer) Neighbors and childhood friends, Cake & Seeiw, who have totally opposite personalities slowly growing apart. This one has the chemistry and the script so fingers crossed it’s not sad. Y-novel adaptation (author Afterday - Bad Buddy) starring SantaEarth (7 Project).

Do we trust Studio Wabi Sabi or director New anymore? Even with SantaEarth (especially with SantaEarth). That is the question.

Enemies to lovers, high school set for CHOCO TV to air on Bilibili (no trailer) from the producers of HIStory 2&3, and Tsai Mi Chieh the director of H1: Stay Away From Me; H2: Crossing the Line; H3: MODC; Love Is Science (we like her). Adapted from the novel Secretly by Huang Si Mi about high school boys with different backgrounds, personalities, and values who compete for student president, but have more attraction than animosity. The drama focuses on two storylines: egocentric elite student Ye Guang who fights in the council elections with a quiet guitarist Xu Qi Zhang, and his friend Ray who after a recent breakup up with his boyfriend meets A Jian.

Interesting that there isn’t anything from Korea and nothing new for Viki this month. Although give them a chance, they drop suddenly and later sometimes.

Verona, il 17 febbraio la sfilata del Venardì Gnocolar in città.   Domani è Venardì Gnocolar, tutta l’Italia è pronta a sfilare a Verona. Maschere dalla Sicilia alla Val d’Aosta, da Venezia a Savona, insieme a quelle veronesi, i carri allegorici, le bande e le majorettes. Tutti al seguito del Papà del Gnoco che, come da tradizione in groppa al “musso”, guiderà l’evento clou della 493^ edizione del carnevale veronese. La partenza sarà alle 13.45 da Corso Porta Nuova. Un grande fiume colorato e festante, formato da 103 gruppi partecipanti con 2500 figuranti tra cui 63 maschere della provincia di Verona, 46 italiane, 18 carri e 6 bande con majorettes, attraverserà vie e piazze della città fino ad arrivare in piazza Bacanal. “E’ una grandissima gioia essere presenti e poter vivere dall’interno questo Carnevale – ha detto l’assessora alla Cultura Marta Ugolini -. I residenti in città capiscono quanto impegno ci sia per organizzare questa manifestazione, ma posso assicurare che vedere tutto quello che sta dietro è sicuramente ancora più significativo e importante. Un’enorme macchina organizzativa complessa e sofisticata che, ogni anno, tiene conto di tutti i vincoli e problemi cercando però di trovare sempre una soluzione. Summary

Following the events at the end of season one, the family of Jerry, Damian and their four-year-old son, Kai, now have an additional, uninvited guest––Jimmy, Damian’s son from his previous marriage in California, whose unexpected arrival to Taiwan brings much turbulence to the otherwise peaceful family.

This would be totally perfect if this drama didn’t end in a cliffie and left everyone hanging for the last five years. Needless to say I doubt we will get any closure but still I rate this very highly cause it’s that’s good. The storyline is sort of like a cross between the Squid Game series and Alice in Borderline jdrama . Both are fantastic also. Everything and everyone is so on point in this. Definitely recommend if you’re a fan of the Squid Game series !
