Several Sentence Sunday

thank you @capseycartwright for tagging me!!! like you, and everyone else, i have been completely captured by 7x04 brainrot and the ten million potential storylines we can take from it. so here is a lil snippet of a fic idea i made a post about earlier 🩷💜💙:

“I think Maddie might’ve tried to set me up with her friend, Josh, once,” he says before furrowing his brow. “Or- not set me up? I’m pretty sure she said he could do better than me. Which- rude.” “Extremely rude,” Tommy agrees obediently. “And uh, there was this moment when we were down in Texas for the wild fire a few years ago,” he continues. “This guy TK I worked with- I said we should hang out if he was ever in LA and he thought I was flirting with him.” “Were you?” “Maybe?” he says. “I have no idea but he certainly took it that way. He said thanks but that he had a boyfriend.” “Okay so, a high school crush,” Tommy starts, ticking the examples off on his fingers. “A maybe set up from your sister and one guy who thought you were flirting like, three years ago. Is that it?” Buck frowns, trying to think, because he knows there has to be more. Unbidden, a memory flashes in his head and he huffs a laugh. “There was one time this, uh, Christmas elf? Thought Eddie and I were married. Like we took Christopher to see Santa and she told me we had a beautiful family.” Something inscrutable passes across Tommy’s face but it’s gone in an instant. “Yeah? What’d you say?” “I-“ “Here we are!” the perky waiter interrupts Buck’s answer, looking expectantly between the two of them. “Who ordered the steak?”

thank you @sibylsleaves for tagging me!!! 🥰 here's a little snippet from part 2 of This Love Has Me Bound and before anyone asks i still don't know how i'm going to work my way out of this with all of the characters emotionally unscathed but i am Trying askjdfhsa

When he finally does speak it comes out slowly. “He thought Eddie was the person you were dating?” “Yeah,” he replies, voice hoarse. Tommy appraises him, eyes flickering all over Buck’s face like he can figure out what he’s not saying. Evidently, he can. “And it made you think about it,” he surmises. “Dating Eddie.” Buck nods wordlessly and kind of feels like he might cry. “I don’t- I’ve never- I mean, it’s Eddie and-“ “Evan,” Tommy cuts in gently, his free hand settling over Buck’s wrist. “Breathe.” He forces himself to take a breath, squeezing his eyes shut and curling his hand tighter around Tommy’s. “I really like you,” he says when he opens his eyes again, pouring as much sincerity as he possibly can into the words. “Like, I really like you, Tommy.” “I know you do.” Tommy says it sweetly, assuredly, mouth tilted in a smile that normally makes butterflies erupt in Buck’s stomach. “I just- I don’t know if I’ve ever…let myself think about Eddie like that before and I feel-“ “Confused?”
