Very practical message for the day. It’s amazing just how much being in survival mode can affect physical and mental well-being. Additionally, it’s surprising just how consistent hypervigilance can lead to or aggravate chronic illnesses of the mind and body.
Take this new month as an opportunity to dial things back. Tune in with your mind and body and begin (or continue) to be intentional about your healing and living a more peaceful and engaging life.

Mindful Mastery: How meditation has become more manly
By Luke McLeod, author of Everyday Enlightenment and founder of Soul Alive In a world that often associates meditation with the serene and the delicate, the notion of mindfulness is undergoing a radical transformation. It came to my realization that the whispers of the revolting and ancient force of evil, that which we categorize as satan, has spent ages upon ages, studying human psychology, and strategizing on how to infiltrate one’s psyche effectively. This force, like a coal-powered locomotive on a highway to hell, is led with unquenched flames of rage, hate, and disgust, that it will try do every trick in the sanguine book of the damned to take anything it can with it to eternal damnation. There are endless wars waged in these unseen realms, quite similar to cold wars, but not that cold. They involve proxies and spies, and leverage primarily psychological warfare.
Just like in real life, to claim a crown after triumph, and to maintain it, are two different realities. Thus, man, to the best of his ability, must not only attempt at understanding his Lord above, but also the adversary below.
It may not be vitalizing to know that this is mainly a defensive war, but there is substantial hope and glad tidings that one can build, and maintain, an impregnable mental fortress, by the will of God, for the love of God. It is therefore, quiet beautiful, that in the tradition of Islam, the believer, against the accursed devil and his conniving, seeks refuge in God, the most merciful, the most compassionate.

everyone on twitter saying this is confusing. "oh hes just saying words hes making so sense" hes making perfect sense you just dont get it. once you open that can of cinnamon rolls, there is no going back. the cinnamon rolls have been released and they will NOT be stuffed back into the cannister. you are locked onto this path, you will be making cinnamon rolls whether you were prepared or not. if you cant understand this you cannot claim to have kennergy.

Sleeping Deeper
Let's not get it twisted, I get my full eight hours every night. But I have noticed the last three or four night I have been sleeping deeper. My lucid dreams are still present, and usually more involved, but not as many waking moments, usually to turn over or glance at the clock or notice a significant temperature change in the apartment.
But I have two small injuries on my body that need healing, so I am hoping that this concentrated sleep is focused on healing those areas. One is a small burn, well sort-of burn, I have a high tolerance for pain so sometimes when showering I may not notice that certain mucous membranes may be more sensitive to hotter water that I won't even notice were hurt unless I happen to feel this area later.
The other is a scrape that I think occurred during my yoga or maybe during cleaning. Actually I am not even sure when it occurred. I think I noticed it a few days later, which is pretty standard with me. I will bump, scrape or ding something and not notice until well after the thing is healing or that I was even hurt.
You know how the say that trauma or other life challenges created character, well I have a whole lotta mother-fucking character, so much that what begun as emotional fortitude has become physical fortitude. My mind has numbed itself to physical pain because of all the emotional pain I have been through. I am not sure if this is normal or not, but it is what it is.

Mentally preparing myself for what might be a difficult conversation at work tomorrow.
It shouldn't be, but like, I need some answers and a timeline and I know there will be some deflecting because of all the contingent things involved, but I can't keep up everything I'm doing without an end in sight.
