shawnmendes Honestly sometimes when i'm having bad anxiety doing things like Meditation, journaling & breath work feels really hard to do.
Sometimes i just need REST & go into nature for a little bit.
i've found my spots around town that i can escape to for an hour or so when things feel intense & it's really changed my life.
Nature kinda effortlessly heals us 💙🌳🌿

My depression is resurfacing just in time for mental health awareness month. My reminder to myself and advice to other of my level is this:
Take your meds on time.
Don’t listen to your brain after 9pm.
Shower daily. Just step in and soak for 15 minutes every day.
Maybe save up for that weighted blanket or toy for those touch starved nights
Have some healthy snacks around so when you forget to eat you don’t just put bad stuff in you to deal with it.
Be proud of every little thing you manage to do. You did the laundry! You returned those items! You cleaned out the fridge! Small things are worth acknowledging.
It’s okay to be honest when you need a brake to pull yourself together.
Stay away from media you KNOW you cant handle when you feel like this.
Remember there are people in your life that love you and will help you through the tuff times. You aren’t a burden on them, never doubt you are important to someone

I’m sorry but “Good Vibes Only” is a terrible motto for Mental Health Month. The whole point is that sometimes the vibes are NOT good and that’s important to be able to acknowledge and process. Toxic positivity and feeling like you can’t share your struggles because you’re bringing down the party are actually NOT the vibe and totally counterproductive to mental health awareness.
