Week 3 @ SK+I

What Did I learn: I am learning more about editing details on Revit. I was assigned to add more annotations to drawings as well as clean up plans making sure they are clear and concise. Cropping out any outlying lines or unnecessary surrounding context. I also learned this week how meetings worked in a firm. It is very busy and SK+I was very organized and needed feedback from all other teams. There was a structural team, MEP team, rendering team, and a landscaping team. They had an agenda to follow which they did in a orderly fashion. They discussed a lot about permits, minor changes to the plans, roofing structure, fire pit codes, and duct work/ ceiling heights.

What went Well: I think what went well this week is being more comfortable with revit, Being assigned to something that I already had a grip on was a great feeling. Also being invited to be apart of the meeting was exciting. I was nervous, but I knew I was there to listen and learn and I definitely am looking forward to another one in the near future.

What could I have done better: One point during the week, I was finished with my assignment with the CD set, and my supervisors were busy in a meeting so I had some down time. I could have possibly worked on this blog a little early and cover some of the highlights of this week, so I could be using my time a little more wisely.

Long Term Implications: Visualizing myself in a conference meeting with a future firm while I was attending my very first gave me motivation. I realized that in order to to get to this level I must work harder. It was a fantastic experience.
