If I hear one more "but he called her this, and was as toxic as she...he wasn't granted a win in the UK case Blah blah blah" about the Johnny Depp case I'm going to scream.

Firstly, British courts are so fucking bad it's almost laughable. Domestic violence is almost never prosecuted, and our newspapers have become incredibly corrupt for the longest time (let's not forget the phone tapping of a murder victim, and withholding evidence to the police.) As a UK resident I can promise you that our police force, and courts are terrible. Thousands of DV survivors are let down, including children, yearly.

Was no one else listening to the recordings played in court of her ADMITTING to hitting him??

And people saying that his initial story regarding his finger doesn't match his current story. I'm sorry, are we now going to blame abuse survivors for lying to cover their abuse? Is that what we're doing now? Even though psychologists and survivors have told us time and time again that they lied because of embarrassment, fear, and a plethora of other reasons.

I'm a feminist, but I do NOT support this bullshit of believing turd face because she's a woman.

That man was abused, and what hope do other survivors have for justice if she wins purely because she's a woman.

She has not helped our cause at all. She has discredited genuine victims, and she has used this necessary movement for personal gain. The sheer fact that she stole her assistants traumatic rape story to use as he own should tell us all we need to know.

They were not "as bad as each other." He was being abused and hounded on the daily, and reacted as such.

Fuck anyone who thinks MePoo was the victim of that relationship.

Johnny Depp is not the perfect victim, and that's why people find it so easy to say this shit about him. But your "perfect victim" is the reason why thousands of women and survivors don't report their abuse. Your perfect victim is why femicide is on the rise. It doesn't matter that Johnny Depp is a man. He was abused and he deserves justice.

I'm super tired of seeing people get into discussions about Depp and Herd. Especially the whole I stand with Johnny BS.

During the UK trial, Johnny Depp tried to pressure his assistant into hiding proof he was physically abusive.

The UK has much stricter deffimation laws and the paper johnny sued across the pond was found innocent.

As the NBC article explains johnny has addamently denied his acts of physical abuse for a very long time.

I see people on victim blaming amber all over the internet. I saw people on twitter using the hashtag #/mepoo, essentially slapping the entire metoo movement in the face over a disputable incident.

Drug abuse is serious and deserves empathy, but it's not an excuse for violence. It is not na excuse for abuse.

If you aren't going to take the time to understand an abuse case for what it is, don't engage in it.

I believe Depp wants a media circus, it's another way to abuse amber.

If you have an opinion on this case that isn't informed and you choose to air it publicly, I'm blocking you.

Stop engaging with this, stop making it a thing. Give everyone involved a break. The publics interest in the subject makes the news cover it.

Isn't it amazing that he threw a bottle at Vanessa his ex, he accuses amber of doing it despite evidence. He was shown texting someone to shit on the floor to try and make her step in it, he accuses amber of shitting in a bed despite him not even being there and starting a humiliation campaign where people are even saying #mepoo like it's so funny an abuse victim is being vilified. Absolutely stunning what people will cherry pick to deify men. This case has been so upsetting and the worst part is it's all over an article where she didn't even name him. He texted he wanted to ruin her, that she was a whore who he wanted to kill and rape, he assaulted her physically, sexually and emotionally, and he was right in the end. He has ruined her, at least in the public eye. It really makes you lose all hope as a woman.

afaik he didn’t throw a bottle at vanessa (did call her a cunt though!) but he is literally evil for what he’s done to her. her reputation is forever ruined and people will always remember her as an abuser. makes me sick.
