Lancelot Du Lac...Oh.. amazing episode! Yeah! Totally! I mean, they only brought one of the greatest characters back to life to be a plot device, ruined everything he stood for, used him as a cheap way to banish Gwen, didn't make any of his other friends care for his death, and never resolved anything about this in the rest of the show! I mean, what's not to love, right? It's so great! I'm so glad they did that! WHOOO YEAHHH

I hate it. I hate it so much don't even get me started, anon. You know the worst thing about it? It doesn't matter. None of it matters because 2 episodes later Arthur and Gwen are back together and it's never mentioned again. So it literally only destroyed Lacelot's legacy and that's it.

actually the plot of 4x09 is FAKE. what actually happens is arthur tells lancelot that he's just in time for the wedding and arwen invite lancelot into their marriage because they're the loves of each other's lives. and morgana sees this and is pissed bc her plan didn't work, so she has lancelot reveal himself as a shade, so that they'll know that lancelot never actually came back and never will, which is essentially reopening a deep wound and tipping an entire bag of salt into it. arthur and gwen are so heartbroken that they can't go through with the marriage and gwen leaves the kingdom for a while. arthur would, too, but he's the king so he can't. morgana still wins!

Friendly reminder that Lancelot died with people thinking him an unhounarable man. I hated that they disrespected such a noble character in....that episode. It never sat right with me. Ugh.

The funeral scene always tears me up. I hated that none of the knights were there- I mean that was their brother in arms, their friend. I despise Lancelot's legacy being tarnished, and never fixed.

Lancelot deserved better. Far, far better.

The last two seconds of that episode - when we see the real Lancelot thanking Merlin - honestly far outweigh the entire rest of the episode.
