Merlin had thought he didn’t know what he was getting into when he cleared the air and agreed to stop hating Mordred, but it turned out the knight, not the warlock, was the one who was completely unprepared for what it would mean to be considered Merlin’s friend.

Behold the fic I was talking about before for anyone who wants some Mordred and Merlin friendship, a little angst, and someone bluntly telling Arthur he needs to appreciate Merlin more. My personal favourite chapters are chapter 6: Galavant Rides, Chapter 11: Dwarves vs Giants, and chapter 17: No one but you. But this entire fic is just really nice to read, like I don’t really have comfort fics but I feel like this would be one, because even when there’s angst, it’s usually resolved quickly and the rest is just Merlin appreciation and the others learning how badass Merlin can be. Also magic reveal last chapter. This is a Merlin fic after all.

if we communicate for two minutes only it will be enough is probably the best smut fic I’ve ever read, which is kind of unusual since it’s not a merthur fic. It’s got the funnies, it’s got the smilies, but most importantly it has the smutties.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so obsessed with a fic as I am I obsessed with this fic. it has simultaneously the longest smut scene I’ve ever read and the best written one. I implore (fancy words make things better) that everyone read it even if you don’t like merlin/mordred

this post probably doesnt have a target audience, but i wanted to combine some of the fears from the magnus archives with merlin characters, because i thought it would be cool

these are based on season 4 and 5!! (of merlin)

explanations on why i chose each one under the cut

Merlin: the eye (paranoia, fear of secrets being revealed, being watched) i feel like this is self explanatory, merlin is afraid of his magic being revealed and in s5 he becomes more and more paranoid because of the whole destiny thing

Mordred: the lonely (isolation, disconnection) Yeah so i feel like mordred led a very isolated life until being knighted, but once he belongs, the whole thing gets taken away and he is lonely once again, with Morgana being the only option to turn to

Morgana: the spiral (madness, hallucination) Over the course of the show, we see Morgana descending into madness and in a servant of two masters it's even revealed that she has hallucinations and doesn't trust her own mind.

Arthur: The desolation (pain, loss, burning) now arthur was a hard one. i chose the desolation because of arthur's unwillingness to step into uther's footsteps, uther, who basically brought about everything the desolation stands for, to camelot

Gwen: the web (manipulation, being trapped, spiders) hear me out, gwen got kidnapped, enchanted and manipulated SO MANY TIMES. The web was the only one i could think of that fits her.
