Merman!Dabi who...

You stumble across sunbathing on accident while investigating some strange humming nosies you've been hearing around the private beach near your aunt's place.

The first thing he does upon realizing you're gawking at him is curse you out, prompting you to flee and try to rationalize what the fuck you just saw.

You go back a day later to try and find him only to find no trace of him anywhere.

You start to wonder if you just hallucinated the whole encounter.

You end up going to the same cove a few days later when the humming starts back up again.

Sure enough, he's there, waiting for you.

God is he big.

He's got the most gorgeous tail that starts off white and slowly fades to black like some sort of monochrome ombre.

He has a lot of scars. His tail and torso are riddled with them, and his fin's are all slashed up.

He won't tell you why.

Turns out he's been watching you from the water and suprisingly, he knows how to speak your language.

He refuses to say how he knows though.

You start up a tentative friendship with him as you slowly learn more about each other.

You're utterly fascinated by him, and eventually he admits that while you're not the first human that he's had contact with, you are the first human woman that he's ever encountered.

Turns out he's just as fascinated with you as you are him.

Eventually he starts to tell you a little bit more about his kind and where he comes from, though he's still very guarded.

He comes from out in the deep sea, and you realize very quickly that deep sea gigantism is very much real.

He is the top predator in the sea, you realise this as you ask more about his anatomy.

He's got wicked long black claws and and double eyelids to help him hunt in the depths, but you're more curious about something else.

He's got theses odd slashes at the corners of his mouth (think Glasgow grin-like) and when you ask about them, he splits his mouth open to show you the rows of very sharp teeth inside.

After you get closer to him, he starts to bring you things: fish (some still alive), shells, pearls, other little treasures from under the waves - you end up having quite the collection of gifts from him.

Then one evening he wants to take you swimming with him.

It takes quite a bit of convincing on his part, but eventually you allow him to take you under the waves with him. He never lets go of you the whole time you're with him, humming softly in your ear all the while.

While you're under water, he shows off his bioluminescence - bright blue swirls of energy that ripple along his scales and dance along his skin. He glows so brightly against the darkening water.

He's deadly and beautiful and you think you're falling in love with him.

Then a few days later, when you're talking to a trusted friend (who also happens to know about his existance), about how he's been acting, you both come to the startling conclusion that your merman is in fact, courting you.

Just a few little facts about Touya in my merman fic! There really isnt any spoilers here, more or less some physical descriptions about what he looks like and how he acts. You'll find out more about him (and the mysterious friend who also knows about him), later on in the story!

He's been inspired off a beloved friend's design and story initially, and has since been developed into his own character, with his own lore n' whatnot. :} ❗❗ Questions are welcome and encouraged, as I have been working on him for quite a while now and would love to share things about him! thinking about merman!Soap falling for reader who studies Oceanology.

The reader is in her hometown, nostalgia filling her lungs with the smell of sandy beaches and saltwater, the coarse sea caressing her skin as she goes in for a dip every other day. Somehow, she meets Merman Soap and is fascinated by the possibility of how a creature that she had only ever heard about in fairy tales now exists in the flesh (and scales) in front of her.

Just imagine the yearning. How the initial curiosity for each other turns into the incessant craving for each other, needing to touch and kiss and hold each other until they're one soul. The anguish Johnny has to deal with when he has to confront the mortality of his beloved - the fact that he will outlast her life and her love as a result. How this makes Soap all the more selfish, ultimately making him cling to you and every moment he shares with you - scared out of his mind that every meeting you have with him will be his last.

You, who has to realize that you love someone who's otherworldly. This world has no place for someone like him - they'd prod at him and pose him around like a trophy and poke at him for their entertainment until they've wrung him dry. How you try to break things off and ensure that he never has a reason left to set foot on land by breaking his heart into a million pieces and vowing to yourself to never set foot into this accursed town - for Johnny's sake.

Soap is heartbroken when he realizes you have abandoned him, and left him just like that. But he's convinced that you're it for him - you are all he wants and all he needs to spend the eternal life he has been blessed with. Thanks to some help he had acquired from some ancient creatures whose real names were smudged off and their titles forgotten by dead tongues, he finally takes his first steps on the land with his newly acquired human legs. He knows you're scared - for him and for yourself, but silly girl, do you not know how much he loves you now? Do you really underestimate how strong he is?

He'd convince you, he has to. He will show you, don't you worry. You humans and your fickle worries - there's nothing that can come between you both, he will make you realize that. And then he'd claim you all for himself, his hands twitching with the need to hold you and bite you and mark you all for himself. You're all his, whether you realize it or not.

And when he makes you realize that, Johnny will be able to finally bring you home.

Synopsis:

Octomer!Salim, who studies human artifacts for a job, falls in love with the human who keeps visiting the shoreline at night. So after the human inexplicably jumps into the freezing water one night, Salim doesn't hesitate to save him.

Jason Kolchek, severely traumatized after returning from war, finds a new meaning in life after an "Angel" saves him from drowning. What Jason doesn't know is that in his delusional state, he confused his savior's tentacles for wings and the morning sun for a halo.

I have a particular soft spot for the pairing of Non-human!Salim x Human!Jason because I personally headcanon Jason as the ultimate monsterfucker lmao

Ockiss day 4 now with Seth and Alexei!

In this au Seth is a mer who got captured by pirates and got sold to a circus, Alexei and his classmates/friends helped Seth escape from that fishbowl prison and hid him while he recovers.

Seth of course doesn’t know how to speak human so shenanigans ensue when trying to understand each other, and of course he took a big liking on Alexei huehuehue.

I just think that mer-people are cool. =w=

Yall have been askin about Tintins power so heres the list and the explanation:

-Quick healling (including himself)

- Echo location

- Amazing stamina

- Growing (reviving?) dead corals back to life

-Drying quickly if above water.

- Glowing body in the dark

And when I said "Power he has left" it means that at some point he will lose these powers and he wont become a merman anymore. But there is good new and more bad news to this information.

The bad one is that if the all the scales on his body fade, that means he is wont be able to breath underwater. How do the scales disappear you ask? emotional damage.

The good news is that the scales are re-chargeable. How to change them back? interaction with sea creatures. And building back up emotional support (Snowy/ Milou has this thing under control)

Ok so thats how this whole thing works.

just imagined a scenario where the reader in mermen!wayv au is an octopus-type sea witch... all i'm saying is that a certain SOMEONE (cough xj cough) wouldn't exactly mind being manhandled by all those arms.

now that would be an interesting idea. i can definitely imagine xiaojun being intrigued by the tentacles wrapping around him, the way the suckers feel against his skin and scales, the gentle restraint of it all...yea he'd probably be into that 😅
