Let's do a short practice; it's something you can read your way through with me here. We're going to come out of worrying or anxiety and into a more calm and centred state of being. I'm going to do it with you; I'm working on the best way to tell people about my mindfulness course, and it's challenging; I can feel it in my chest and my neck. Can you identify any big feelings or emotions in your body? What shape are they? What colour are they? What texture do they feel like? What do they taste or smell like? If you're thinking something like, 'what the f*ck is this? My feelings don't have a colour.' then please remember that everyone has their personal internal language, and it looks, smells, tastes or feels different for everyone. And If you are noticing difficult feelings, It's OK. Life gets challenging sometimes, and complicated feelings are a natural response to moments like this. It's what happens next that's important. As best you can, I'm inviting you to get closer to these feelings, gently noticing what's happening where you're up close and tuning into them. Perhaps, imagining that you're breathing in and out of this area. Sending your breath there and back with each in and out breath. Breathing in, really feeling the area fully, with a sense of curiosity and awareness Breathing out a sense of release. Of letting go. Of letting be. And as you're breathing in and out of the area, perhaps allowing a slight smile to come to your face. This isn't in a 'good vibes only' way - but more to offer friendliness to this part of you that needs support. Perhaps, on your next out-breath, bringing an attitude that says, 'this is me, right now. I don't have to like how I'm feeling, but this is how I'm feeling; let it be felt.' This is a meditation you've done for 2 minutes on Instagram. Please don't expect miracles, it works better as part of proper mindfulness practice. Con qué decisión y espontaneidad se precipitan hacia su adultez, qué obstinación la suya en mimar a sus mayores. Y a costa del dolor, aprenden. Su condición para progresar es justamente estar en contacto permanente con el mundo adulto, con lo grande, lo pesado, lo desconocido, lo hiriente. Sería lo ideal, claro, que vivieran en un mundo aparte, acolchado, sin cuchillos que cortan ni puertas que chancan los dedos, entre niños. Pero entonces no evolucionarían.
