No disrespect to all the other actors (I seriously love them all) but can we take a moment and appreciate Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard's acting skills?

I mean, let's just think about it.

60% of what Cas says is "Dean" in infinite inflections, the other 40% literally makes zero sense and it's totally unfunny if the lines are not delivered to perfection. Yet, Misha slays every effing time.

On the other hand, 60% of what Crowley says are sexual innuendos, the other 40% are pop culture references that I personally don't get half of the time (I'm not from the US). Yet, Mark eats and leaves no crumbs every effing time.

And they both have spent 8+ years in the same frigging costumes.

I mean, I'm just blown away, they literally carried the show on their shoulders and I'll appreciate them forever.

The way Eddie can't even accept at first that they truly believe his story. Because not knowing about the Upside Down, it does sound insane. Who knows what Eddie had been thinking the entire time on the run. Shocked, terrified, alone and helpless. Must have turned that memory over in his head a thousand times, and it did not make sense, it could not make sense, it was impossible. If the party hadn't found him, I imagine he could have actually ended up convincing himself that he did somehow kill Chrissy, and the rest was some hallucination from drugs he didn't remember taking.

we were doing our catws10 rewatch and i said that in the highway scene, I had heard that sebastian’s pronunciation of russian is quite bad and instead of saying “i have her, find him”, he’s saying something about a brick. i am trying to be humorous.

misha shoots back “yeah almost like the language got brute-forced into his head.”

i don’t know why it never occurred to me how stressful bucky learning russian probably was, probably because he already speaks it in the comics, but now i’m running through everything regarding language and it’s through a whole new filter. holy shit. he’s got to learn it from torturers and abusers.

first, how fucking isolating. how embarrassing and degrading in a real way. people talk to him like he’s stupid. he doesn’t fully understand why he has this other language in his head that he wants to use, but is almost certainly not allowed to. his internal language is severed from his external language. the words he does say feel unwieldy in his mouth and harsh to his own ears. he can’t practice it, and no one is gonna sit down and teach him.

second, to quote dialect quoting james baldwin, “people evolve a language in order to describe and thus control their circumstances, in order to not be submerged by a reality they cannot articulate”. if you don’t have the right language, you cannot describe what is happening to you. you can’t call for help. you can’t beg for mercy. you don’t have the words to picture your future as different from your present.

third, no wonder bucky takes to pierce better than karpov. no wonder karpov needed specific words and pierce has many to control him. much has been said about how pierce tries to manipulate bucky with his words, like what weak points he presses on to try to keep bucky on track, how he uses language as weapon, and to top it all off, pierce literally speaks his language.

god the spn fandom makes me so tired.

look, people are gonna shit on this post saying that i should just leave if i don’t like it. the thing is, fandom should be a space where people can be themselves and talk about this thing they like. they shouldn’t be so frustrated by the people in the fandom that they have to leave.

we have different opinions. we have different thoughts and feelings concerning the show and the actors and the writers.

and that’s fine. having different opinions and discussing those different opinions is good and healthy for fandom as a whole. we should be able to have these open discussions without snipes and jibes towards each other. open discussion is healthy and good.

but recently i’ve seen a lot more of people harassing others with different opinions, insulting them, and this actually gets very personal at points.

i can’t believe i have to say this, but no matter what, harassing people is not okay. if you don’t like them, don’t engage.

and if you do harass someone else, they have a right to call you out. they have a right to defend themselves. everyone from fanartists to fanfic writers to just normal bloggers. if you harass them, don’t expect them to take that shit lying down.

also, don’t harass actors. if you don’t like them, post about it, but don’t directly harass them. that’s not cool, not chill. it’s stalkerish and weird.

but the spn fandom is so toxic and full of all this bullshit. it’s stupid and unnecessary. it feels like high school drama just with adults. it’s infuriating.

I love the interaction between Chuck and Becky. Someone else did this analysis but they were right, this is like the fans (us, Becky) and the writers (Chuck), talking. Like we are successful and love Supernatural for what we made it and the writers/producers come crawling back, not understanding that we don't want the dumb story they wrote, we want the one that exists in our head. Spicy confession: I think this obsession and almost fetish with Finn being queer is because he’s a white, skinny guy with effeminate features and is ~artsy~ so I hope he’s actually straight so people realize that they should stop stereotyping men by how they look or act. You’d think we would have learned with the Noah situation and the dumb “he’s a straight frat boy so it’s funny he plays a sensitive gay boy so well” joke.

I mean I see your point, but I personally never saw Noah as a straight frat boy. When Bylers would make that joke, I would always go "Is he tho?"

I think what you're saying could play a role for some, but I also feel like there are subtle things that go beyond "sterotyping men by how they look or act" that people who believe he's bi/queer notice (or think they notice).

Because I'd say there are plenty of guys who kinda fall into a similar category as you described, and I'd wager a guess that if similar polls were run, most people here would likely see them as straight.

And lots of people theorized about Noah even if on the surface he seemed like a "straight frat boy" playing a gay character so well.

So there has to be a subtle "something else" that fuels it.

What that IS tho I'd say is difficult to pinpoint.

So what I've seen a lot in the "Eddie survived, Vecna's dead, happy end" fic timelines (aka "what we all agree actually happened") is that the Munsons' trailer was completely destroyed, along with all of Eddie's stuff, his precious sweetheart, his music collection, etc. etc. So I rewatched that scene several times for my own fic's purposes. And hey, you know what, I think Eddie's stuff is fine.

We see how the upside down crack starts from the gate and rips through the trailer's outer wall, and obviously, RIP the mug collection.

BUT. The crack only goes in one direction, and we don't see the other side of the trailer, where Eddie's room is, affected in any way.

This wasn't exactly a normal earthquake. Like, buildings that were at the very epicenter of that final blast seem completely unaffected, as long as they weren't in the way of the cracks / vines. Also, as long as the crack doesn't go right through it, a part of a building would be left standing.

TL;DR Eddie's room was most likely just fine and he'd probably be able to get his precious guitar and everything eventually. Sorry about your stuff uncle Wayne.
