They have the most known ailments, standing at 3 of them. Being radioactive, having a leg that didn't fully form, and a very heavy lead alloy that is hard for them to control properly. They find it hard and cumbersome to move around and just want to sleep all day because they don't care for existing.

Off White Raven Rhapsody Part 1 of 2

I just spent waaaaay too much on a doll; -but I really didn’t buy too many Skullectors last year, so I’ll say that it evens out.- To date, this is the most I’ve ever spent on a doll. Monster High really pulls me in with their new and interesting monster head sculpts….always has and always will….so I bit the bullet and bought her. I didn’t take a photo of her box, but it is a very heavy duty box. I feel like a lot of budget went into that damn box too as it uses really thick paperboard, has four interlocking (like a much bigger version of paper board jewelry boxes) pieces, and four acrylic pieces. I am not an inbox collector, so this is just some very expensive trash to me. -I can’t even recycle the thick paperboard here locally-

Anyways, let’s see if some of my money went to the doll. -I know the lion’s share of expense is due to the Off-White brand, blah blah-

I wanted to compare her to her MH gargoyle brethren: Create a Monster Gargoyle (in a Granite City High jumpsuit I started to make him, but never finished), Garrott du Roque, and Rochelle Goyle. She seems a little more radioactive colored than the other gargoyles. Maybe she was carved out of uranocircite or metatorbernite instead of granite…. It does bother me that she doesn’t have any speckled skin. She was an expensive doll, why not make her skin the same “off-white” color and throw in some speckles! She also did not make her with clawed hands, which is very strange because Skullectors put that shit on everything. Well, let’s take a closer look at the thing I mainly bought her for. Her face!! Her face is so pretty….

Let’s compare her face sculpt and Rochelle’s.

I am very certain that the face part of the head is the same. The nose is identical, they both have the “worried bumps” in the middle of their foreheads, and the jawline looks the same. Rochelle’s lips are fully painted in, while Raven’s look under painted (especially on her upper lip). Their eyes have varying styles. Rochelle’s eyes have thicker lower lines, larger pupils and irises, and much longer eyelashes (ghoul is using the same mascara Yuma). Raven’s eye paint looks much more crisp, seem to fit the mold better, and a bit more detailed (her make-up uses several more colors than Rochelle’s). Raven’s eyebrows look a bit pixelated though.

Yup, their profiles look pretty darn similar. Now her HORNS! YESSSSSS! Look at those detailed horn ridges.

They’re detailed all the way around too.

Her painted scalp could be a bit better. You can also see that her horns are separate pieces.

Now, lets look at their “ears.”

Rochelle doesn’t have ears in the traditional spot.

Her ears are very similar to Create a Monster, but her ear tip is a lot more rounded and the inverted scalloped edge is a lot deeper too.

Garrett’s ear is actually more detailed than either of them (there is more detail on the tip of the ear and the base of the ear). The veins are much more prominent too.

Now let’s look at their wings!!

Raven’s are the BIGGEST by far. Even the shape is completely different (I thought maybe it was a bigger version of Rochelle’s but looks like it’s a completely different mold).

Rochelle’s and Creat a Monster both have two separate wings, and a lot texture to their wings. Garrote has a smoother texture and is only one piece -THAT NEVER STAYS IN- Raven’s wings actually does stay in REALLY well.

The front has veins, tons of cracks (that off white color that doesn’t like to be photographed), and lightly translucent. ….I wonder if they will reuse this mold in some aspect for Ru Paul’s dragon MH doll??

Yup, no veins on the back. I wonder how it will look if I add a light wash to those cracks…

She also has these little horns on the top of her wings. Mine had some scratched off paint…yay…also, the horns don’t look cleanly sculpted (especially compared to her horns).

Yeah, her horns look a lot more defined. Also, this is as far down as her arms go at the shoulder…

Also, her arm joint on her left arm is messed up. She can bend it but it really did not want to turn around.

Well, I guess I can look at her expensive branded clothes. In Part 2!

Torbernite becomes Metatorbernite when dehydrated, and that can make them pretty cranky due to lack of water. So they need to submerge in water from time to time like Black Opal does too XD

I made a secondary HnK AU (one that isn't Realm of Luster)

Basic premise: The previous gem caretaker (Sensei stand-in) fell into a comatose state, and now two diamonds run the show. However, after this occurrence, known as "The Calamity", all gems started to form with at least one ailment, tho occasionally two or three. The only remaining gems from before the Calamity are Diamond, Black Diamond, and Vivianite.

Black Diamond and Diamond are appointed as leaders due to their high hardness and ability to work together exceptionally well. Vivianite is kinda a second in command/advisor, and didn't want a main leadership position anyways; they prefer to work behind the scenes.

With all the other gems having ailments, and thus specific needs, it's up to the Diamond Duo to meet said needs. Examples of such gems would be Cinnabar and Metatorbernite. Cinnabar has two ailments, This being both the poisonous mercury she has, and that she formed exceptionally small, being about two feet with toddler-like proportions. Metatorbernite, aka Lemeta, moon the other hand has the most known ailments with having three. Theirs is being radioactive as a gem, having one not fully formed leg, and having been formed around a very heavy and cumbersome lead based alloy.

Hoa đẹp thường có gai, nhiều loại đá khoáng chất cũng vậy, mặc dù sở hữu hình dáng và màu sắc vô cùng bắt mắt nhưng ẩn chứa bên trong lại là những thành phần nguy hiểm có thể gây chết người. Điều đáng nói là không ít trong số đó đã và đang được sử dụng rộng rãi trong cuộc sống hằng ngày mà con người không hay biết.

1. Chalcanthite:

Chalcanthite có tên xuất phát từ tiếng Hy Lạp, chalkos và anthos , có nghĩa là hoa đồng, là một khoáng chất màu xanh tan trong nước có công thức hóa học là CuSO4 · 5H2O. Chalcanthite sở hữu sắc xanh cuốn hút tựa như đại dương nhưng nó lại có thể khiến cây trồng và vật nuôi yếu dần đi rồi mất hết chức năng sống, từ đó dẫn đến cái chết.

2. Hutchinsonite

Hutchinsonite là một khoáng chất sulfosalt của thallium , thạch tín và chì với công thức (Tl, Pb)2As5S9 . Nó được phát hiện lần đầu tiên tại Binnental , Thụy Sĩ vào năm 1904 và được đặt theo tên nhà khai thác mỏ Cambridge Arthur Hutchinson. Sự kết hợp giữa 3 hóa chất độc hại này khiến Hutchinsonite giống như một ly cocktail đẹp mắt nhưng vô cùng nguy hiểm. Nếu da tiếp xúc phải Hutchinsonite, người bệnh sẽ bị rụng tóc và ốm nặng, thậm chí tử vong.

3. Stibnite

Stibnite, đôi khi được gọi là antimonite, là một khoáng chất sulfide với công thức Sb2S3. Stibnite có vẻ đẹp long lanh, sắc lẹm nhưng khoáng chất Stibnite lại có thể gây ra triệu chứng chóng mặt, buồn nôn ở người. Trước kia, người ta thường sử dụng khoáng chất này để chế biến chì kẻ mắt và mỹ phẩm trong hàng ngàn năm liền.

4. Asbestos

Asbestos hay còn được gọi là Amiăng là một tập hợp gồm sáu khoáng chất silicat, amiăng có đặc tính dai, bền và chịu nhiệt tốt nên thường được dùng làm vật liệu cách nhiệt, cách âm và chống cháy. Trông tựa như tảng băng trôi tuyệt đẹp nhưng Asbestos lại là một trong những loại khoáng đáng sợ nhất hành tinh bởi nó có thể khiến con người bị ung thư.

5. Arsenopyrite

Asenopyrit là một asen sunfua sắt (FeAsS). Nó là một khoáng chất có độ cứng từ 5.5 – 6 trên thang Mohs, asenopyrit là một kim loại màu trắng đục, xám đến bạc trắng với trọng lượng riêng tương đối cao là 6,1. Khi hòa tan trong axit nitric, nó giải phóng nguyên tố lưu huỳnh. Khi arsenopyrit được nung nóng, nó tạo ra lưu huỳnh độc và khói arsenic có thể gây tử vong nếu hít phải với số lượng lớn.

6. Cinnabar

Cái tên Cinnabar được bắt nguồn từ tiếng Hy Lạp cổ đại κιννάβαρι ( kinnabari ), đây là quặng nguồn phổ biến nhất để tinh chế nguyên tố thủy ngân. Cinnabar thường được người Trung Quốc sử dụng để nhuộm vải. Tuy nhiên, khoáng chất màu đỏ được ví như máu rồng này lại có thể gây chết người do độc tính của thủy ngân.

7. Galena

Galena , còn được gọi là chì liếc, là dạng khoáng chất tự nhiên của chì (II) sulfide . Đây là quặng quan trọng nhất của chì và là nguồn bạc quan trọng. Galena là một trong những khoáng chất sulfide phong phú và phân bố rộng rãi nhất . Nó kết tinh trong hệ tinh thể lập phương thường hiển thị các hình bát diện . Nó thường được liên kết với các khoáng chất sphalerite , calcite và fluorite . Galena trông giống như một viên kim cương lấp lánh. Song đừng để vẻ ngoài của Galena đánh lừa bởi bụi chì từ nó có thể gây nhiễm độc.

8. Orpiment

Orpiment là một khoáng chất asen sunfua có màu vàng cam đậm với công thức As2S3 . Sắc cam rực rỡ của Orpiment rất lôi cuốn nhưng nếu cầm tinh thể khoáng này trên tay, con người sẽ bị tiếp xúc với bột thạch tín gây ung thư. Khoáng chất này từng được dùng làm thuốc ở Trung Quốc hoặc trong ngành giả kim học.

9. Torbernite

Torbernite , tên bắt nguồn từ các nhà hóa học Thụy Điển Torbern Bergman (1735-1784), là một chất phóng xạ , ngậm nước màu xanh lá cây. Công thức hóa học của torbernite tương tự như autunite trong đó cation Cu 2+ thay thế Ca 2+ . Số lượng phân tử hydrat hóa nước có thể thay đổi trong khoảng từ 12 đến 8, tạo ra sự đa dạng của metatorbernite khi torbernite tự nhiên mất nước. Torbernite với màu xanh tương tự Kryptonite, cũng độc hại với con người không kém so với superman bởi tính phóng xạ từ thành phần uranium.

10. Coloradoite

Coloradoite còn được gọi là Mercury Telluride (HgTe), là một loại quặng Telluride hiếm có liên quan đến Vàng và Bạc. Có hình dáng như một khối kim cương sáng chói nhưng thực ra, khoáng Coloradoite lại rất nguy hiểm bởi nó được hình thành từ hai kim loại kịch độc thủy ngân và telua. Vì thế, sức khỏe con người sẽ bị ảnh hưởng nghiêm trọng nếu vô tình chạm vào nó.

11. Phenacite

Phenakite hoặc phenacite là một loại khoáng sản được liệt vào danh sách đá quý do có chứa thành phần beryl tuy nhiên, chính vì thành phần này mà Phenacite có thể gây ra một số bệnh liên quan đến phổi.

12. Erionite

Erionite là một khoáng chất sợi tự nhiên thuộc về một nhóm các khoáng chất gọi là zeolit . Nó thường được tìm thấy trong tro núi lửa đã bị thay đổi bởi thời tiết và nước ngầm . Erionite hình thành các khối sợi giòn, giống như len trong các hốc đá hình thành và có cấu trúc phân tử bên trong tương tự như chabazite. Erionite được biết đến là một chất gây ung thư của con người và được liệt kê bởi các Cơ quan quốc tế Nghiên cứu Ung thư. Tỷ lệ mắc ung thư màng phổi ác tính và màng bụng ác tính do phơi nhiễm erionite ở vùng Cappadocia của miền Trung Anatolia là rất cao.
