In the not-so-distant future, the Third World War has destroyed our civilization. A few thousand survivors found shelter in the Moscow subway. Radiation, mutants and good old-fashioned confrontation are just some of the problems facing the new humanity trapped underground.

If you've ever been to Moscow, you'll definitely enjoy the virtual tour of the Moscow subway. I used a map of the subway to find out exactly where the events in the novel take place.

Idk if anyone else noticed this but, in the quarantine chapter of Metro Last Light (The original one, idk if the redux version has this or not) I noticed something... odd and interesting!!

I have questions!! And I don't have answers to'em.

Why he is cutting open a dead body? Where passing people can see him-?

Why the decapitated heads?

Is he doing it to get the organs? If the guy died by virus his organs are infected so is it for examination? To experiment the virus? It will only make the infection increase!

But they were burning the corpses of the infected!!

Is he doing it cause he wants to get the skeleton? As we see one behind the heads, but then again, why he cut the heads off if it is for that reason, where are the bodies then??

Look at the dead body's face! Half of his face is disfigured!

Has he been dead a long time ago-?

Or was it cause he was exposed to some sort of chemical or burn? Mutated??

Pls anyone has any ideas or theories? I need explanations desperately...💀💀

Or maybe I'm thinking too much and it's only a background thing with no reason behind it-

Then again I'm curious... WHY?
